Why so many negative comments? :( In my opinion, this one was one of the best, identical to the black bottle; a very intense smell of raspberry surrounded by spices. When I wore it back in the 00s, I got nothing but compliments and was told many times that I smelled like "spicy cotton candy". It was while wearing this Hot Couture that I met my future husband... who I am still with today. A sexy, feminine and spicy scent, all at once.

I own the largest size of this. In perfect condition. It was my mom’s backup bottle with the box. I sprayed a couple of times but is just sitting there looking beautiful. I rather be put to use than just sitting there. Will post soon on Mercari. This is a spicy, raspberry, aromatic with a sexy magnolia dry down.

I really love all versions of Hot Couture. I have em all and got tons of compliments. For me the Raspberry and pepper really stands out on my skin. I find it to be a sparkling scent sort of like Tresor. It works for me and I am happy that I have it in my collection.

when i first smelled this i did not know what to think..it was a bit salty but i had some sweet notes too.after it settled down, i did like the smell, but it was not for my oriental-loving nose :) i gave it to a friend, and she wears it really well, it smells wonderful on her..it is a fresh scent. my advice is to try it first before you buy it because this is a love/hate perfume.

Disappointed, my mini must be spoiled or fake. Just smells like a watered down musk. Like Modern Muse or Lovely, but weak and watered down. My friend wore this and I remember it being strong and peppery. I will only repurchase if I find another deal because I’m afraid I’ll get another bad bottle.

from all hot coutures this is the worst.It is kinda wattery,pepper dominates with little magnolia.Very big dissapointment! P.S It is like washed off Hot Couture

this is the worst givenchy fragrance. all i smelt was a mixture of cardboard, ironing starch and pepper. a very frustrating purchase.

This is actually similar to a "masculine," Concept 18 by Pal Zileri. The notes to that one are: "Top notes are ivy, geranium, bergamot, lemon and tangerine; middle notes are star anise, pink pepper and cardamom; base notes are patchouli, vetiver, amber, sandalowood and musk." Here there is raspberry rather than the anisic note, but both have a kind of dried-out maple syrup quality that dominates. Also, this one is a bit lighter and "brighter." Both are natural smelling and at least somewhat pleasant. but rather blended, so if you want note separation, you may have to look elsewhere. It doesn't smell like paper to me, because it's not that dry, but I do wonder what occasion or demographic this was targeted at, if any.

I just got a full vintage 100 ml bottle of this, and I have no idea how the bottle was stored. I get so much lemon in the opening, which works really well with the pepper. My best guess is that people either love or hate the magnolia note. It does smell a bit like wet paper or glue, but I dig it. This feels like the OG black bottle Hot Couture girlie got it together and is fresh out of rehab and trying to behave herself. I like the bottle and appreciate that it can stand upright on its own. The black Hot Couture bottle that leans is novel, but it takes up too much space in my perfume closet!

My nose must be crazy ... but I smell rosemary in the opening. Strong rosemary like in poultry seasoning. Some other spices and a tiny touch of sweet fruit round out an unusual bouquet. Although the notes remind me of a cooking recipe, the perfume is nice to wear. Longevity and sillage are good, this fragrance is fairly unisex. Lightly applied this should be a work safe scent.

Wow, all the negative reviews! The best way to describe this is Salted Raspberries! YUM!! I sprayed this and it went very well with my chemistry. Hubby loves it on me. However, I sprayed this one and the Collection No. 1 Black Bottle and the smell identical! The only difference is the bottle. I would wear this on cold days because the raspberry really pops!
