Irresistible Givenchy

This masterpiece right here might become my favourite perfume of all time (and I have been only wearing it for 2 months). The story: I saw some people raving about it on TikTok so I gave it a chance. At first, I only bought a sample. Let me tell you, when I wore the sample the first and second time, I was not impressed. It was like an okay scent to me, but there was something in it that irritated my nose. However, my Italian husband loved it on me and couldn’t stop smelling it. When I ran out of the sample I was like: I won’t buy it. Eventhough my husband likes it, I can’t stand one note in it.. few weeks passed by and of course the thought of my husband liking it did not let this perfume out of my mind. I bought it in full size.. and girls, listen to me, when I sprayed the full size, I was blown away!! My nose somehow picked up on a different note this time, and I fell in love!! To me, it doesn’t smell soapy at all!! It smells like a fresh, juicy pear mixed with some flowers and musk. I can’t really describe the smell better. But when I tell you, that I am mostly a gourmand girlie in fragrances (Black Opium, Devotion etc..), and this perfume just shook my world. I have been using it for 2 months and literally anytime I wear it I can’t stop smelling myself!! Fun fact: I do not like rose perfumes.. but this perfume doesn’t even smell like rose to me. But if it does then it is a beautifully done, fresh, youthful rose, not a granny type one. I think that this fragrance is a wifey type of fragrance. I wouldn’t particularly say that it is for the young teen generation, but not for older women either. It is for younger or middle aged women like me. I can imagine a clean girl, or a wife, or a bride wearing it. No surprise my husband loves it. I tell to you: let’s give it a try. I did not like it at first, and now I can’t imagine my life without it. It is such an inoffensive scent. Also sometimes it happens to me that I get bored of a scent soon.. well, I repeat myself, I cannot stop smelling it after 2 months of use. And the best part is: sillage and longetivity to me is literally out of this world. Amazing.

I’m so glad I did not let the bad reviews sway me. I absolutely love this perfume. Performance is decent not bad. In fact, it’s lasting longer on my skin than some of my other perfumes. I really like the pear note in here. It gives the perfume a sparkling feel. My mom recommended it to me after she got it and said that she gets a lot of compliments at work with this scent. It’s very fresh and fruity. Perfect balance between floral and fruit. I’m laughing at the review below me that says it smells like sweet fried chicken, I do not see how or if they were just trying to be funny... but it’s funny how our nose registers things to our brains. This is a great spring and if you care about scent profiles matching weather and seasons. But this could easily be a daily driver, signature scent. It’s very clean girl meets fruity. I walked around Nordstrom for an hour smelling all different scents trying to decide what to get during their sale today and I’m glad I landed on this one. It’s unlike anything I have and it comes in a 4.2 oz bottle which is nice. I’ve been wearing it for 3 hrs on a very hot summer day and it’s still projecting very nicely. Very happy with this purchase! After wearing for a few days, I am very very impressed with this perfumes longevity. It lasts all day, but I spray like 8 sprays. It’s so juicy sweet, I love smelling my shirt and getting wiffs of this perfume as I move. Absolutely love this. It smells like the cleanest smelling shampoo. Ah it’s soo good!!!

I bought this years ago when I was feeling down, and it instantly made me feel beautiful. It's a designer fragrance that deserves it. I knew it was a good investment when, one of the first times i wore it, my brother walked in the room and immediately remarked, 'something smells very good in here' - men, it seems, definitely notice. And whomever you walk past will notice; you'll probably make them hungry. You can wear it in any weather at any time, but especially at evening gatherings, because you'll smell like an old fashioned lolly shop in a flower field on a summer's night in a country town; and in winter, you'll remind them of nice weather. It's not cloying at all, but subtly fills the room with nice musky smell. And one thing about going through perfumes very slowly, is I know that it keeps well after years on my shelf in the box - the same one. It's very pricy, but worth every cent.

Oh, how I love this perfume. It is my favourite perfume and I finished my bottle, I hope to buy a new refillable bottle around December. I just wish they came up with a refillable bottle before I bought mine. It is the prettiest floral perfume. I never really payed attention to the notes of the perfume. So I cannot say that I get the pear or rose or ambrette. I'll update my review once I smell it again. Moreover, I think the price point is okay. I mean it is a designer so you can't expect it to be cheap or anything. For the ones' who are curious about the opposite sex's opinion, I showed the bottle to my male best friend and he smelled the bottle. He said that he would want and imagine his girlfriend to smell like scent. It is a pure and sweet scent. It does give a doting girlfriend/wife vibe, I'll give the credit to him.

For me, it's a beautiful and feminine scent. I got the tester over half a year ago and based on that, the first time I tried it, I didn't remember it. But the second time I did, and I couldn't shake the idea that this scent definitely has to be in my small collection. Many have mentioned that it's too artificial and shampoo-like. But I think a lot depends on the specific perfume wearer. On my skin, this scent is delicate, slightly sweet and slightly powdery, with notes of rose and iris shining through along with musk. I don't smell pear. This scent is definitely suitable for layering with some citrus scent (Versace Yellow Diamond) or with a deeper, more elegant scent (Miss Dior 2017).

A peachy golden rose. One of the few fragrances that has true Parfums de Marly vibes. This is very fruity and tart. This reminds me alot of pdm Cassili, not so much pink rose Delina as everyone mentions. I did a patch test of irrresistible and Cassili on each arm and I was mindblown. This is so similar with the same peach and cream drydown. Stunning scent and so much more budget friendly. If princess Peach had a scent it would be this. It also has this warm hug from the past vibe for me since I get a 90s toy scent from it. This is the perfect office friendly all year round scent. I think the summer heat really makes it stand out more. Signature scent worthy.

This is such a pretty perfume. It’s one of the most underrated and best kept secrets. A pretty sugary rose with musk and a nice woody cedar to round out the dry down. There is pear in it and it sweet but it blends well as to not overpower the rose. You know its there in the opening for maybe 30 minutes but its mixed with the rose and then the rose musky cedar keeps going. I cant recommend this one enough. It needs more love. I disagree about youthful and think its more elegant and silent wealth that doesn't flaunt. Its one to try on your skin as it smells different on paper. And give it a few minutes for the top notes to go if the pear puts you off.

This perfume is finally mine! 🥳 I fell in love with this one at first sniff in late 2023, for some reason I messed up and I ended up buying the Fraiche instead. I like it. I used it till the end, so that means that I waited patiently for almost 3 years to buy this version which is my personal favorite. And that's because it is a beautiful musky rose, with a hint of sweetness, super girly, I feel like a princess when I wear this. Super delicate and youthful, a compliment getter. Versatile because it can be worn all year round, no matter the season. I looove it, I reckon it is a scent that represent me so well and I will buy it again and again 💫🩷

Oh man this is beautiful, I bought an older bottle of Very Irresistible EDP a while back and absolutely loooooved it so wanted to check the newer releases and man this is a gorgeous fragrance. Feels extremely modern rose to me, effervescent and sweet, I absolutely agree with the review comparing it to pixie sticks, specifically the purple ones in the top notes. You could pass this as an AG fragrance imo in terms of it feels young and updated but still has a really luxurious dry down, creamy silky rose and musk. Performance is good but nothing mind blowing, good longevity and projection, can catch whiffs of it for hours on myself 💙

Intoxicating and sexy. Very lush and hard to pinpoint the different scents, but I swear I smell yeasty baking bread in there - in the very best way. I've tried this 3x from a sampler, and have wanted to eat my arm each time. The musk is in there, but it's not as heavy as Black Opium (which I love, until it dries down, and then it's too heavy for me). Moderate sillage, and lasted about 9 hours. I know perfumes smell a little different on everyone, but this, for me, is a winner. I am probably a bit older than the average reviewer, at 59, so take that into account.

Was initially gifted a giftset of this perfume by my sister for my birthday in 2023. The set contained a 80ml and a travel size bottle. It's a very girly and fresh scent. I had been using it sparsely, keeping it for special occasions. This year I have been downsizing my perfume collection. In September, I chose to use this scent and I started getting compliments on it. It was a big love for me. It's fresh and feminine. Can be worn during the day or at night. It has a good lasting power. Yesterday I ran out of my 80ml bottle and repurchased a 50ml bottle.

I'm obsessed with this scent, I can't imagine anyone not liking this except some people might find it boring or maybe too juvenile. To me it's a perfect pretty girl next door almost princess like smell. I think appropriate for any age, whether teen or older. I'm in my 30's and still happen to love these "young" and girly type perfumes. Oh how I wish it was stronger and had better sillage. I can definitely smell it on myself, but other people need to get really close to smell this.. Please Givenchy make an intense or elixir version of this

This is my love! So bright, happy and uplifting perfume. I associate it with youth and joy :) It’s a very feminine mix of juicy pear, velvet rose, powdery iris and delicate musk. I adore this composition ❤️ If you are looking for a perfume that is versatile and will stay with you for better or worse (longevity is pretty good!) and as a nice bonus will improve your mood - then Givenchy Irresistible might be right up your alley. It’s indeed irresistible, at least for me 🌸

A girl wore this to a date we went on, at first time I really didn’t like it much. It was alittle too floral for me and I felt it wasn’t my vibe. The second date she wore it and she gifted me a teddy bear that she had sprayed with this perfume so I remember her. And the more I’ve been smelling it the more I like it, in the beginning it is very floral but the more it mellows out it’s really nice, like a sweet floral feminine pear or something along those lines.

Irresistible is soft, sweet, and effortlessly pretty. It opens with juicy pear and rose, but never gets too sugary or too floral. it’s just balanced in that easy-to-love kind of way. It’s feminine without being loud, romantic without being cliché. I used to reach for it constantly because it made me feel put together, approachable, and glowy. Even though it’s not my #1 anymore, it still holds a top spot in my collection. Think: rose petals with a smile.

Finally the lucky owner of this one. It is the perfect spring perfume. Very floral and fruity at the same time, but in a very exquisite and luxurious combination. The notes mention pear in its composition, but to me it definitely smells like strawberry + raspberry... and champagne :)) There is something very "sparkling" in this perfume, that to me it does smell like champagne. Givenchy really did an amazing job on this one.

Sweet and pleasant perfume. Very feminine. I love the powdery in here. But I understand why is not popular like other perfumes, is truly juvenile and inoffensive fragrance. I asked my mother to try it and she was not surprised. Also I never got a complement when I was using the tester. Is also too sweet for summer. Is a good choice to use before bed. I bought a clone version to use it at home (very good clone actually).

I've done many blind buys during the quarantine and this is the first perfume I tried after the lock down. I don't normally like the rose accord in perfumes neither the musky ones but THIS. I impulsively bought the 35ml bottle without even testing it on my skin first. I love it. There is something that reminds me of my childhood maybe that's why I love this musky powdery perfume. It has also a vintage vibe

It's a very elegant, feminine scent, but it has a little pungency to it, which can sometimes be unpleasant - in very hot weather - but it works up to about 25 degrees. It's like a fresh, feminine breeze. If it weren't for that pungency, it would be my favorite scent, but I still really like it. I haven't really smelled it on anything else, but it's office-friendly and would suit a lot of people.

Originally got this as a sample with an Ulta order and fell in love! Immediately went to go purchase the full size. I've put such a massive dent in it so quickly. I can see how people find it to be generic, but I see it as something that's easy to reach for when I don't want to think too much about what to wear that day. It's good for any occasion and any weather. Very feminine and sweet.

A lovely long lasting fragrance that’s very feminine sweet, rosy and musky. The musk creates a creamy sherbet type of scent and it gives an excellent scent bubble. A great everyday or signature scent that performs extremely well.went to bed wearing this and still smell it in the morning so it is rather eternal. The performance it exactly what I want in a fragrance that most others lack.

this is my go to when i want to smell cute and innocent. received it as a gift at 19 and its a pretty safe blind buy. its very feminine without being too sweet. my nose goes nose blind to the scent after 1-2 hours but i have gotten compliments hoursss after applying. my mother wears narciso rodriguez and black opium and i would say this fragrance has a similar dna but less mature.

This is nothing like the perfumes it's being compared to, I think a lot of reviewers only pay attention to the first 15 minutes of the scent. It's a lightly floral clean MUSK. A touch of powdery iris and faint rosewater, but the musk is what it's actually about. Very close to a "your skin but better" style scent in the dry down.

This is my go to when I need a fresh, clean and “safe” scent, for example for work events and in warmer weather. It’s beautiful and very easy to wear, and it always makes me feel pretty and put together. I’m on my second bottle and will always have it in my collection. Love to alternate it with Idole and Libre in the spring.

This scent opens with pear and musk. I'm a fan of sweet and powdery scents. This scent is almost effervescent, like spun sugar. I adore how long it lasts. Sometimes with longevity you get one or two notes that stick around and usually that's the musk- for this, the iris and powder stay on the nose for hours. Love this

This is deliciousssss. Airy, pear-y, musky rose. Very sensual smelling, a sweet fruity rose! The pear alludes to blackcurrant, but isn’t as deep and doesn’t have that signature “pissy” smell that blackcurrant can have. This is a really sexy fragrance, definitely signature worthy! One of my favorite rose perfumes.

Every time I wear it I get compliments. It's definitely a crowd-pleaser. Sweet pear, florals, fluffy musk. It lasts very well on me. I feel spring is its best season, for a hot summer it might be a little too sweet. Very happy with the purchase overall, does everything that a designer fragrance needs to do.

I’m on my second bottle. I think it’s a great value-for-money fragrance for daily use. The longevity isn’t bad at all; especially on clothes and in the room where I spray it, I can still smell it for days. I’m not too sure about the projection, but I do get compliments when people are close to me

accidentally purchased the edt and It smelled like salad dressing on my skin. This is the real deal, juicy opening with pear (to die for), soft rose without turning powdery, sweet on the drydown. smells like clean girl asthetic idk, this is what I would gift my nieces when they are of age :)

Tried this recently and I lloooooovvveeeeeedddd this perfume so much! I plan to get myself a bottle soon. It reminds me so much of the pear scented l'oreal kids hair de-tangler! It's such a fresh, clean and girly scent. But definitely a spring/summer day scent imo.

Very romantic, i love the juice rose, since I don't really like rose as a note in perfumery, this is kind of different from other rosey perfumes, I really like this and I don't find this generic, since everybody is using gourmand perfumes, this is very beautiful

The reviews are always over the top on here. Perfume is subjective and personal everything does not smell good on everyone. I bought a tester of this today and for ME it’s an easy reach. I smell pretty. I smell a creamy pear with a bit of spice. I like it.

Lovely sweet, fruity rose scent! Can agree it's not groundbreaking but sometimes it's nice to have an easy grab perfume. This might get cloying if it's super hot but for the most part I think the sweetness is not overwhelming. Very feminine and pleasant.

This is yummy, but not in a cake batter style, nor in a fruity-patchouli way. It's yummy in a 90's fashion style, like I love Dior, Estee Lauder Pleasures Exotic, Versace Medusa kind of ways. Very strong reminder of these fragrances above.

my go-to for dates with the bf! definitely very sweet and floral (which i like), also fizzy almost champagne-like on me but the pear makes it fresh. i feel like you can overspray with this so 3-4 sprays is more than enough

Such a beautiful smell! I couldn't afford full price, but I was so desperate that I bought a used bottle. A very nice skin scent on me, it smells like subtle rose-scented dryer sheets with a hint of soft pear. Adore it!!

Love this on summer hot days. I had no idea this has pear which usually does not play well on my skin. To my nose it smells like strawberries and rose, and rose and berries is something I love and usually works on me.

this is so pretty, i wasn’t expecting to love it so much. it reminds me of lipstick, i’m not sure why, but i love that about it. it makes me feel very girly, which is not something i feel very often.

I like this because I want sweet and feminine. It really is pink in the scent. It has a sugary quality I recognise from a perfume I had or tried many years ago, can it be Candy by Prada?

although people say it's basic, for me this perfume transmits innocence and purity. So if you are a kind loving person and want to express this through a scent, this one is for you.

This is a really lovely fragrance! It's a bit fruity at first and stays very floral. It's sweet but not sugary. It's like a musky rose. It's a little pricey, but not too expensive.

Every time My wife wears this I go crazy.... She has two new bottles on reserve in her closet... Do I need to say anything more? Husband approved!

Opens sweet, fruity and tart, with rich rosy heart after short while. Absolutely adorable. Sweet but fresh and substantial. This has a presence despite being light, which is great. My o.k from the sample turns into like nearing love from the bottle. Loving the opening and heart notes. O.k with the base notes, but the base is unique and stylish. It might grow on me. The musk and cedar identical in Nude Velvet and Nectar versions. Parfums usually perform differently from their bottles. From the sample I thought it non existent nearly. In the heart lipsticky notes appear after half an hour as one of the facets while it remains mainly fruity-floral and tart. The base is warm. I adore Dominique Ropion's work. Always eventful with good performance. Lasting power and projection are also great. Private, work appropriate but 7+hours of feeling that I am nicely parfumed. Great. It reminds me of Idole by Lancome. Idole is muskier and rosier and I might prefer it because of beautiful base. But the start and initial hour is better in Irresistible. The base I perceive as warm, salty and pencil-like. Very satisfied with my purchase. Accidentally I sprayed my hair, missing my neck - next day they smell just a gorgeous incarnation of Irresistible! Try it yourself. It is actually rare that my hair keep parfume scent like that. Only J'Adore that I know of. I think it is universal with regards to weather and occasion. A great creation. If this is too strong (it is medium really and light scent-wise) similar but lighter is Idole by Lancome.
