L’Ange Noir Eau de Toilette

This, in fact, is what I hoped Living Lalique would be: An easy-to-wear, purple flower with a light pepper twist. There’s no pepper here, but the combination of sesame and sandalwood whit nice pear makes this an interesting and sparkling scent for adult taste too. The purple scents like iris, lavender, etc. are refreshing and uplifting, but may be irritate too. For me they easy makes me uneasy. In here that iris and sesame stay close to skin, and only that beautyfull pear has a slightly larger aura. The longevity is better than I initially thought, I notice the scent for another eith hours to get nose close to the skin. Pleasant, light, real office scent... Noir just for a very intimate relationship, but I use this often, this has become my very best easy reach scent.

A COMPLETELY different scent from the EDP - I didn't realize this and bought an EDT mini sample, liked it so much I ordered a FB of the EDP at a markup as it's discontinued. Both are nice, I wondered why the notes in the EDT weren't matching the EDP notes/reviews, and why when I wore the EDT I got almost no iris/powder and all fruity sweet notes. Overall the EDT is much sweeter than I expected, with a strong fruity vibe that carries throughout wear. It smells similar to the dry down of a mix of scents I own/wear often. I wondered if I accidentally put on a shirt that I had previously perfumed without washing and couldn’t figure out if it was mixing with this scent, because it almost smelled warm summery and a touch tropical. It gets softer after an hour or so, with the iris and powder coming through while maintaining a sweet fruity base. It makes me think of sweet summer skin. It does project more with more sprays, but more sprays make it go more fruity and less powdery. I do like this but I’m not sure if I need a full bottle, as it does smell a lot like the dry down of some scents I already own - I couldn't tell from sniffing my dirty laundry which clothes had this scent, vs. Alien Goddess and/or one or two other similar scents I can't think of right now. I don't get ANY patchouli, thankfully as I hate patchouli. Don't really get much sesame either, mostly I get pear, bergamont, peony, sweet iris and musk. The scent lasts awhile - I'd say at least 6 hrs though I can smell it on clothing days later. It projects well too - a nice soft scent bubble, not too overwhelming. Very good performance for an edt.

I kept seeing comparisons of L'ange Noir to my beloved Lipstick On. After being unable to find a sample, I finally bit the bullet and got a .5oz bottle for $30, or so I thought... To my dismay it was nothing like Lipstick On. If anything, I got a hint of Givenchy Irresistible. After a few days of my initial test, I decided to get my bottle another try, thinking "it can't be *that* different if everyone else compares the two. Must've been something else stuck in my nose." I gave it another try, same smell, same disappointment. Then I took a look at the bottle and saw "eau de toilette." I never knew an EDT of this scent even existed. In it's own right, it's a nice scent. I certainly get the pear (again, somewhat akin to Irresistible and Fairy Love by Escada as well.) A gentle, familiar fruity floral. Not what I was looking for at all, but not bad.

I got this as a gift. I'm not the biggest fan of the Angel and Demon range. I feel like the fragrances have potential but I get sick of them quickly. This one is more special. I love it and I also don't. It's clean and somewhat powdery but also fresh. This has a certain heaviness in it, which I think is the thing that bothers me here. The sort of heaviness you get from Cherry or Blackcurrant notes in fragrances, though there are no such notes listed so I'm confused. Is it the pear? I usually like pear so I can't imagine it bothering me. I'll probably wear it when it's cold. The description on the edp sounds more appealing. Anyhow, it's nice, give it a sniff.
