Les Parfums Mythiques - Organza Indecence

So I blind bought this recently at Ulta not realizing that it's not the original, reformulated. it's apparently a flanker, although it doesn't say so on the packaging. LOL. So all this time, I had been reading the reviews on Organza Indecence and thinking that this is what I had. Then I finally realized that these were the pertinent reviews to my perfume, and I was sorely disappointed by the reviews it was receiving. I wore it for the first time today and I'm pleased to report that it's absolutely stunning. Reformulations or flankers generally get harshly criticized like movie sequels do. They're all guilty by association, but I have to disagree with that stereotype. Related to the original Organza or not, this is a really captivating and unique scent. It's very long lasting and goes through several stages of its evolution throughout the day, and I was really quite taken with this. It opens up a little rough around the edges, bordering masculine. I hesitate to say 'masculine' because when I read that about perfumes here, I avoid them. I'm not into 'masculine' scents, but the opening is ... maybe not masculine but kind of androgynous, or just genderless. It's almost like the 'gender' of the opening is right in the middle of the femme - masc spectrum, and you decide whatever you want it to be. It's strong, and it does radiate, probably about 3-5 feet for the first 30 minutes, I could still catch whiffs of it at 5pm after having sprayed at 8:30 am. But I don't believe it to be obnoxious like Alien, which can suffocate a concert hall for days. For me, it's just perfect longevity and sillage. It is a winter scent. I tend to feel that 'seasonality' of a fragrance is totally optional, but this is a rare exception. I just can't see myself wearing this in the heat. It's a very warm and spicy fragrance. This is cool weather-only in my book. So I don't have much time left to enjoy this beauty! Anyways, about an hour into the scent, it starts evolving and takes you on quite a whimsical and ethereal journey, which I was really not expecting. I would have to familiarize more to pinpoint notes of the drydown, but the feeling I can describe is it's like, something you know that you have smelled once or twice in childhood, and you've been subconsciously searching for it ever since, and upon finding it haphazardly, it almost connects you with parts of yourself that seem like they've been forgotten in a past life. My favorite thing about this perfume is how it keeps you guessing! Its ever-changing, and just so playful and delightful, yet mysterious and reserved. Who would wear this? I'm picturing Eva Green in Casino Royale. She's beautiful and glamorous but this perfume suits her because she's also quite mysterious, yet possesses a quiet confidence. It could suit any girl who is comfortable in her own skin and flaunts her assets rather than focuses on her flaws. An original, a woman who knows that beauty is in imperfection, not to imply that the fragrance is imperfect, but to imply that its wearer is no glamazon with bleached teeth and airbrushed makeup. She's like European actresses that seem okay in the beginning of the movie, and by the end of the movie you're in love with them and they're the most beautiful people you've ever seen. It's that kind of a perfume....beautiful, real, complicated, and almost tragically romantic in my opinion. It seduces you in the most innocent way.

Thank you to my new dear friend BP who sent me this wonderful bottle in a swap. Okay. This is almost identical to the original. SO close that I can't tell them apart. For those of you who say this has nothing to do with the original, you must have gotten a bad bottle. This new version is a tad more floral to me, but I can only detect that floral note when I do a wrist compare of the two. If I just spray on this new stuff, the floral aspect is lost on me. The citrus is there immediately on the open in this new version, but it is so subtle as to be immediately annihilated by the creamy-amber-cinnamon. This is as good as the original. ESPECIALLY since the original is going for ridiculous prices. If you own this and you've never smelled the original, you are not missing anything, trust me. Cuz everything wonderful and magical about the original is here! I'm embarrassed, almost, that I spent so much on a vintage bottle when for almost half the price I could have the same thing in a bottle that is sitting at Macy's today. I think those who are saying this is nothing like the original are just making that up in their minds. I bet you a dollar you can't tell the difference in a blind test. ;) Just sayin'. If I had to streeeeetch and find anything deficient with this one compared to the vintage, I'd say MAYbe it doesn't have the depth of the original... but man... that's like comparing the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific. In the end, they are both just deep oceans. This is a 10 out of 10. This has the perfect sillage, and the longevity is days and days and days.... well worth the 95 bucks for a huge bottle. My new favorite.

Didn't realize this was readily available until I saw it at an Ulta over Christmas. It was hiding away at the very bottom of the Givenchy shelf and looked a bit neglected (the tester was almost full, but then there was only one bottle left, so maybe not!) so I felt a little like I was discovering a secret stash... But then I saw it's also for sale on their website and at Macy's. It's been repackaged to have a plain box, and the label on the bottle is now a simpler white with silver border with Organza Indecence under the Givenchy logo. It seems to only be available in 100ml, so I hesitated about picking up a bottle, but I am so glad I did! This is LOVELY. At first spray, I get a bright, sharp, almost bitter/pithy tangerine overlaid with spice. It pretty quickly dries down to become a softly spicy, milky, powdery vanilla skin scent. It's so warm and gentle and comforting! The cinnamon + vanilla drydown reminds me of a much (MUUUCH!!) softer Kenzo Jungle l'Elephant or L de Lolita, which I appreciate since I find both of those a little overwhelming and hard to wear. There's a bit too of the rice pudding quality that you get from Kenzo Amour, and the milkiness of Malizia Milkshake. It's definitely not a sugary, frosting kind of vanilla; much more of a vanilla steamed milk vs a cupcake or pastry scent. It's a soft, soothing caress of a fragrance. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I've been wearing it every day since I got it--I just can't get enough! A new favorite that I hope will stay on the shelves for a few more years yet.

I decided . I am hoarding this while I can still find it . Despite the fact that is not the same as the original , this is the most delicious cross between gingerbread cookies and Christmas cake . It’s gourmand without being tooth ache inducing . The cinnamon is brilliant , there is a panettone aroma that dominates the entire evolution. I don’t understand the haters . There is absolutely no detergent here and I’m super sentive to soapy stuff . It is the perfect Christmas scent , I get it , it’s better for fall and winter . Every time I wore this I got compliments. And it smells like nothing else on the market . In a world where for gourmands you will inevitably get a dose of fruitchouli , this has no patch . Where florals go powdery , this has no violets or Iris, and where fresh is equivalent to white musk I can guarantee there isn’t a trace in here . It’s warm and delicious like a freshly baked patisserie piece of art . Think cinnamon rolls. Delicious and sexy, in my opinion it carries he original name with pride , even if it’s not the same . The silage and lasting power are not too good on my skin .,,and this is edp. The bottle is elegant . The price ? $120 plus tax for 100ml , I got mine at Hudson Bay, very decent for the quality you have here . Highly recommended ! Ps. It doesn’t resemble Kenzo Elephant at all , that has cloves . This one has cinnamon , more like Kenzo Tigre , but without the orange . Just wonderful !

[Posted this over on the original's page, but thought it might be useful here as well.] I have, and adore, the re-release of this scent, but I was curious to see if it was so different from the original since I'd heard conflicting reports. Finally got ahold of a mini of the original, and here's my take: The original is a bit drier and woodier and rougher (but not in a bad way; more like, you feel the "bark" of the cinnamon more viscerally), where the newer one is creamier and smoother. That's the main difference that stands out to me. In terms of projection and lasting power, I find them pretty similar, even after transferring the mini into a spray vial to get a better comparison. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I get wonderful sillage and longevity from the new one—I can still smell it faintly after a shower sometimes! The original version is lovely (and what a fun bottle), but I find the new one equally so, if ever so slightly different in texture. For those who loved the original and can't find a way to love the re-release, that's a real bummer! But if you're new to the frag (or just haven't tried the newer one yet), I would 100% say give the new one a shot to see if it works for you. I really don't think it has to be all gloom and doom and "nothing's as good as it used to be." I adore both versions, and at this point, I'm just trying to decide how many backups I want to buy!

I wore this perfume during that blossoming teen year when boys stop being rude to you outright and start being super-courteous so they can get the opportunity to be rude to you further down the line. It was a magical time and I remember the original version of this fragrance, a golden, round, orange-vanilla-spice liquid, three drops of which would last all day. I got the opportunity to try this new version yesterday, and I'm not going to say "oh, it's terrible, it's ruined" or anything like that. It is, however, different. The far drydown is close to the balanced original, but the start of the fragrance is quite different- not round and golden but dry and much much more cinnamony, to the point of smelling like cinnamon oil or Christmas pine cones. It's certainly not bad by any means, but it is different- a bit darker, more serious. I was so excited to have a reunion with this fragrance but I'm not sure it's "me" anymore, and that surprised me. Update: Okay. While I still think that it's drier and there's more cinnamon now, I gave this another try in cold weather and on skin/hair (as opposed to in July and on a card--what was I thinking?!) and now I can say that all things considered, it's a good reformulation--well worth a sniff by fans of the original as well as those meeting it for the first time.

Everything that lmktacwa said... but I'd like to add that I think the reason some say the original is "better" & "deeper", is because those original bottles have aged, and the top notes disappear first over time. The aged version is left w/ those base notes, which give it its depth. Therefore, the new version has the citrus notes still sparkling and dancing on top. I like them. They make this a brighter version and less "heavy" to allow for early fall or late spring wear. (though I admit, the cinamon is listed as a top note, and it seems to last forever... which is the main reason I love it so much!) So, my guess is, if you keep your new bottle around long enough, the top notes will fade, and you will have your "deeper" scent that matches the "original". The listed notes between the two on Fragrantica are different, I'll grant you that. But I agree with lmktacwa in that, I bet you a Canadian penny you can't tell the difference in a blind test. Enjoy it while its here. I'm noticing it harder to find, and am now wondering if it is no longer made. For that reason, I just splurged and bought my "backup" bottle. I can't imagine my life without this delicious scent on my dresser. It is surprisingly unique among the masses of scents out there in this world. Cheers!

I have decants of this and a 50 ml bottle of the vintage, bottled in 2001. I've worn both pretty extensively and while vintage is usually superior in quality and scent I must admit they kept the current darn near identical. When I bought the vintage I expected an explosion of cinnamon, vanilla and amber far beyond what the current gives but that didn't happen, which is fine. That just means my expectations were misguided and they didn't ruin a classic, woo hoo! The most notable difference is the amber and vanilla are mayyybe slightly deeper in the original, maybe. But it's an 18 year old bottle and those ingredients tend to deepen naturally over time anyway, so it's not enough of a distinction for me to feel duped by the current. Truly, they are the same scent. Lasting power is a bit less with this one, but see if that's not the case in 18 years. The juice is about the same color as well, so take that for what it's worth. I love my original but I won't be too upset when it's used up, so long as they don't discontinue this one too.

This fragrance absolutely floored me! Nothing like the original Organza, it's a sensual, beauty of a thing, a rare light and airy feel of sweet citrus, amber, woods, and fruit all so delicately spiced with cinnamon. I mean... I love deep, rich amber's spiced with cinnamon don't get me wrong, but to reduce Organza Indecense down to the notes listed here or my fumbling description wouldn't be right. Sometimes a fragrance calls to your heart, it beckons you in and this siren came from the most unexpected of places a Givenchy counter, a strange alt version of a femme classic and a nearly defunct and hard to find line. I adore this fragrance, the amber is quite vanilla centric and after several hours once the top and heart has been striped away, it smells like a kinda pedestrian, sweetie, puff piece. However, by the time that rolls around you've already had hours of exemplary & stunning perfumery to enjoy. I want a bottle.

I have tried both the original and this reformulated version. I have to concur with those who claim that this one is only a shadow of the real Indecence. It smells great (how could it possibly not?) but the projection, the potency, the sillage, and staying power, there's just something that is just not the same. Still, I missed having this perfume so much, and after trying unsuccessfully here and there to get a last bottle of the original (even a tiny one!), I JUST had to go and spend $95 for this version. Ouch. But I dont regret it. I love Indecence THAT much. And on the bright side, this bottle (talk about a boring design) is big enough to sustain 3 or 4 sprays daily. It's a gorgeous, elegant, sexy, delicious, soft, and comforting scent. I usually give it a rest during hot summer days, but it's an absolute must for me during the fall and winter seasons, at any hour. My favorite.

After the original was discontinued - that stunning bottle with its erotic curves - Givenchy finally decided, a few years later, to bring the masterpiece back. The new bottle wasn’t as beautiful, but the scent was still incredible and unmatched: cinnamon, vanilla, warmth, raw sensuality. When I saw it again, sitting there on the perfume shelf, I almost cried with joy! And foolishly, I thought, “If Givenchy brought it back, surely they won’t discontinue it again,” right? RIGHT?! Well... they did. I felt utterly sheepish when my bottle ran out and I couldn’t find that beauty anywhere anymore. To this day, I’m still searching for a replacement, but it’s hard, painfully hard. Organza Indécence was simply one of a kind; nothing truly compares. Because "something in the same vein" or "a bit reminiscent of it" just won’t do. It’s the one I want! So the quest continues...

This is my favorite perfume, ever. Let me tell you why: It is the most comforting, sexy combination of Brazilian Rosewood and cinnamon rice pudding you will ever encounter. It is not too sweet and not too dry, finding just the perfect balance. You can adjust the silage by adjusting the amount you spray, but even if you are a chronic over-sprayer such as myself, this is NEVER offensive! Who doesn't love the smell of (natural-no red-hots here)cinnamon and cozy, full bodied vanilla? And don't even get me started on how perfectly behaved and well blended the patchouli in this is...and the plum. Le sigh. Subtle, soft, lovely.This wonderful perfume stays with me all day. Also, it softly, deliciously scents any clothing it gets on. My scarf from last week has this soft cloud of gorgeousness still coming from it. I couldn't be happier.

This version smells exactly the same as the original with a minor difference; it is not as balmy. Unless you test them side by side there is no telling the difference. It is slightly less deep, but I figure that is only because the original Indecence bottle I have is probably seriously AGED, just as all the others sold on ebay or found in dinky old perfume shops. Get this one ladies and gents! Start buying now before this goes out of production as well! FYI: The notes listed above are totally wrong, it has the same exact notes as the original, except maybe the quality of ingredients is not the best as it was back in the 90's. Oh, and this does not smell like Mariage, which I also own, and believe that Mariage is absolutely lovely, but it smells similar (and better) to L de Lolita, not this.

It starts with a scent of cinnamon toothpicks (do they make those any more?) that was a little jarringly familiar, but not unpleasant. It slowly faded to a soft cotton scent that was faintly like detergent and really one of the better fabric type notes I've seen. Than it bloomed into that horrible powdery amber that drives me crazy -- like resinous amber needs to be tempered by baby powder to make it soft enough for girls -- but it stopped before it reached talcum powder levels and just stayed warm and soft, and grew on me. If cashmere smelled like how it feels this would be the scent. I completely fell in love with this and have been hoarding my sample. I acquired the original version and this has none of the creaminess of that. This is soft powder and hot cinnamon.

Even though I was happy to see Givenchy reintroduce it in 2007, the price tag was too high and there is only a 3.3 oz option--and the reformulation is quite different (and pale). Almost ten years later I've pulled the trigger and bought it. This scent is a snuggler. It's the scent you'd want to smell on someone you're cuddling up to during the fall and winter. This version is lighter and different in many ways. It's similar to the original, but it's lacking depth. All of the changes to perfumes over the last ten years have really bugged me, but it has something to do with the environment, allergies, and resources. When a nose creates a masterpiece, leave it alone. This reminds me a lot of Lolita Lempicka L.

Organza Indecence is absolute heaven - intense, velvety cinnamon and sweet amber on a woody base. The cinnamon has a slightly bitter touch, which makes this fragrance wonderfully deep rather than overly sweet. There aren't any strong floral notes here, but the mimosa does seem to add just enough softness to round everything out beautifully. This is a must-try for fans of spicy-sweet gourmands, particularly if you love cinnamon. I would think anyone who enjoys Dior Hypnotic Poison or Chanel Allure Sensuelle would probably appreciate this one. Like these two scents, Organza Indecence is sexy but very comforting as well. It projects nicely and lasts forever. Amazing oriental perfume!

I am not familiar with the original . But this is fantastic, good silage and lasting power. What does it smell like ? Well, gingerbread cookies! With all the spice and the sugary icing on top. Last time I wore it I got chased by a woman who insisted that I should tell her exactly what I had on and where to buy it. She was completely smitten with the perfume... so , to all those who are afraid of this perfume because they think this reformulation is mediocre or bad, i must say this ... if you want a good gingerbread perfume, this is just as perfect as it gets. If you want something identical to the original, well, I don't have a clue.

A few unusually cool June days reminiscent of fall had me waking up today craving something rich and decadent. As soon as I pulled off the cap I knew I made the perfect choice. A balsamic elixir of vanilla with caramel nuances, slight woody undertones, and a sprinkling of cinnamon. A touch of citrus keeps the composition from being too dense. I have a few minis of the original version and love that too, but this version is a little sweeter, creamier, is more gourmand, and satisfies my sweet tooth craving. Fantastic silage and longevity too. I've been in a delicious cloud all day. Yum!

Holy cow this stuff is so good! I had the original Organza back in the 90's and liked it, but Indecence is next level amazing. It's a gorgeous, sensual orange, cinnamon, and vanilla scent. I bought it last fall/winter and it immediately surpassed most of my favorite cozy, cold weather scents to top tier status. It is eyes roll into the back of your head good. If Costco sold it by the gallon, I'd buy it. Until then, I'll have to figure out a way to get a lifetime supply of this perfume.

I smelled this at ULTA and loved it. Grabbed a cheaper bottle on ebay. I haven't smelled the original, but this makes me so happy! Good longevity and sillage is better than average (I'm a heavy sprayer tho!) It's soft, yet potent, creamy floral cinnamon. Like a cookie-- but not THAT foodie. It def smells like fall/Halloween/cookies-- but I would wear this anytime. :) I'm really over the moon with this.

I do not know the tardicional but this version I have here. I can say that is perfection in the form of perfume, found nothing dated and old, quite the contrary. I do not like perfume dated. This opens with a spicy cinnamon that keeps getting sweeter and creamy in evolution. is a perfume of the Gods. I thought my perfume. just is not very versatile.

I still have my original bottle. After reading the reviews last night, I decided to do a spray test of the original and the new, one spray on each arm. So far, they smell exactly the same. It has been 3 hours. I think the difference some of you are detecting is the result of aged perfume. Also our personal chemistry sometimes changes as we age.

I never got to smell the original, not that I remember but this is absolutely stunning. It's spicy and delicious. The bottle is a bit plain but the juice inside more than makes up for it. Especially on a chilly day when you feel a cool breeze and you get wafts of this wonderful scent. To me it's Christmas in a bottle! Absolutely love it!

I agree with other reviewers who say that this version lacks the depth of the original. However it is still a lovely perfume. Its warm and inviting..very cozy. On me it's heavy on the cinnamon and amber. I'm wearing it today and it smells like hot chocolate with a cinnamon stick. It's delicious. .perfect for the blizzard out side.

I must have missed out on the original, I remember seeing it in the 80's but back then I couldn't afford it =( . I really like the "new" one, I wear it in the winter also, so warm and a little spicy, a little naughty--very sweet and comforting. Very pretty vanilla!!! I like that it smells expensive, that's always a plus!

The first spray is cinnamon and incense. It lasts for quite a while. If you use Wild Berry incense, this smells like their Voodoo incense, which is one of my favorites. A light touch of patchouli wanders in, then subtle fruits before grounding to an amber-cinnamon chai tea scent. It's definitely worth the price.

Givenchy Organza Indecence is oriental, unique, and ultra-feminine. Soft spicy cinnamon, warm amber, sweet plum, fresh tangerine, a hint of patchouli, and a touch of mimosa. This fragrance is stunning and sensual, perfect for those cold winter months and hot dates! Love it!

I've not smelled the original OI, so I can't compare the two. In fact, I will probably actively choose NOT to smell the original, as I see little point in falling in love with something relatively obscure and expensive. From an "Ignorance is bliss" standpoint, this version is lovely. It is predominantly a lightly-spiced, vanillic amber scent. I'd say it has a cream soda quality, thickly sweet, dry, but with a brightness to it as well. It is tenacious without being overpowering, going on 14+ hours on my skin with a single spray. Though not a dupe by any means, I would say this could fill the same role in a fragrance wardrobe as Dior's Dolce Vita. Eminently likable, well suited to cooler months.

Just the perfect mix of cinnamon and fruits with a bit of flowers and patchouli, ending in a rich amber-cinnamon scent. It is so masterfully blended that I can barely get the individual notes on my skin, though the cinnamon is always the star. It's cozy and does not smell as a plum compote. On me, the lasting power was good (8h) and the sillage moderate for the first 2-3h. After that, it stayed close to my skin. All in all, I'd love to wear this in the autumn-winter, whenever I want to feel happy and delicious :) 8/10

I had this one and I liked it. It was a gift to me by my husband. He liked it too. To me it has a bit of the original Organza but not so much. It's not so flowery but heavy on the cinammon and spices note. I liked it much and finished a bottle. I do not know the original Organza Incedence and didn't have any nostalgia, so for me the scent was fine. I wouldn't buy it so soon after though because I'm more the user of small bottles and have to take pauses in scents too.

This one and the original Organza Indecence are NOT the same. BUT, this one is also a good fragrance, just not the same formula as the original. So beware, don't buy this thinking it'll be just like the amazingly beautiful, and timeless Organza Indecence.

The new formulation doesn't smell quite as sweet as the original. This one is more powdery and much heavier on the amber. Long lasting with good sillage

All I smell is sharp, bitter-citrusy, tobacco on my skin. I thought I would enjoy this, as all the notes seemed interesting. I don't smell the cinnamon, but my husband does. He says it smells sweet. A half-hour in, I'm starting to smell some warm spice, but no strong scent of cinnamon, as others have mentioned. ....Almost two hours in, I still notice a sharpness, but now it combines with cinnamon and a creaminess. OK, but too gourmand for my tastes.

I don't see the connection with the original so wonderfull "Organza" O_o , it has really nothing to do with it ! And i dislike this one, all i can smell is the spice, and it's not in a cool, wild way , like "Kenzo Jungle l’Éléphant" . With such a name "Organza Indecence" i would have expected something very sexy , sultry , but it's not :-( .

I love the original version much more than the new one. The old version had some depth to it, this one doesn't have it.. It's too Vanilla sweet and not as sexy and smokey as the previous.

I'm confused. I stopped at (a major chain fragrance retailer) the other day specifically to sniff the reissue and I found it lovely, very heavy on cinnamon, but lovely nonetheless. The box was the orchid colored one pictured above but the bottle was identical to Organza's evening gown bottle except that there's no "frosting" on the glass - the new one I sniffed had a glossy finish. The SA was, naturally, clueless about anything except the price ($100 USD!!) I saturated my wrists and the cuffs of my sweater and could smell the gorgeous cinnamon, vanilla and deep, chewy patchouli 10 hours later on my skin and 3 days later it's still on my sweater. The juice I sampled seemed a cross between Organza and Cavalli's Oro, both of which I have and love, so I'll be taking a pass. For those who're disappointed to read about the new version, I say go sniff it and make up your own mind. As for me, I'll stick with Organza and perhaps layer on some Oro for a near identical effect. I disagree with those who say this is similar to Kenzo's Jungle Elephant. I have Elephant and the only similarity I detect is in the heaviness of cinnamon and the strength of projection - not a substitute for Elephant.

I recently bought a vintage Organza Indécence in the slinky “caftan with a mons pubis” bottle. Instant love, that dryly woody accord paired with vanilla and cinnamon. Before I knew it, a mini-hoard commenced. I purchased another vintage bottle and the reissued-in-a-new-bottle, post-discontinuation version, which I describe here. All in all, I’m rather disappointed. Everything about the original is present in this reformulation, but a couple irksome notes crash the party. Upon first spray, ambroxan screams like a banshee, and an unwelcome orange veers into “creamsicle” territory. There’s a clash at first, as though these newer additions are attempting to slay what made OI so special to begin with. Only after an hour or so does something approaching harmony arrive. However, the vanilla predominates more than before. Yes, this is Organza Indécence, but it’s a discombobulated, out-of-sorts version 2.0. Though the reformulation may be an acceptable substitute for some, I recommend seeking out the vintage if at all possible. It’s far better. Note: For those seeking the reformulation, it seems to be exclusively available at Macy’s and Dillard’s in the US.

I have both an old bottle of the original Organza Indecence and a new bottle of the Les Parfums Mythiques version. This review covers both formulas. Upon initial application, they are identical. Woody sandalwood and something very sweet. I'm surprised not to see vanilla listed among the top notes because it smells strongly of something sweet and vanilla-ish to me. The cinnamon is there, but doesn't stand out strongly on its own to me. I'll say it's the "dash of cinnamon" that adds warmth and spices things up a bit. This is where the two formulas diverge. In the drydown phase, the original formula stays very woody, and in the Les Parfums Mythiques formula, the drydown is all about the amber. The sweet vanilla-ish note fades quite a bit, but hangs in there 'till the end with both. And to me, that is the only difference between the two that I can detect. One finishes with sandalwood, the other with amber.

After testing this reformulation on my skin for some hours I can say definitively that it comes across very differently than the original Organza Indecence. I do not like the reformulation at all. It is missing the balmy, ambery vanillic drydown of the original and the reformulation contains caraway and cumin, which are not listed in the notes, but are definitely there. I smell caraway very strongly and when mixed with the patchouli, it gives a penetrating sharpness to the scent that is not pleasant at all. The caraway/patch mix ovewhelms all the other notes and I eventually could not bear it any longer and layered it liberally with a sweet vanillic scent trying to salvage it. The result wasn't bad, but I think this one is a scrubber compared to the beautiful balmy original.

I've had a sample of this (as well as the original Indecence) for 4+ years that I've been hoarding, and finally had to use up the last dregs before throwing it away. From what I remember, this formulation and the original smell the same, like a cinnamon donut from a Parisian bakery. I do not like cinnamon in perfumes but it's so pretty here. I truly miss when perfumes were made like this - gourmand but not overly foody, sweet but not synthetic and saccharine, soft but with actual longevity on the skin. It's seemingly quite a simple blend but what's missing are weird molecular notes- it just smells pretty, as though it was made with natural ingredients. I'm guessing if this was re-released today, we would be smelling a completely different fragrance due to IFRA regulations.

Buyer beware! This newest version of Indecence is really NOTHING like the original scent which was my "signature" scent for years. The lasting power of this one is 2 out of 10. The strength of the scent is 2 out of 10. The trail it leaves is 0 out of 10. Whereas the original scent was 10 out of 10 in all categories. What a disappointment! I actually called the company and begged them to put the original ingredients back in this scent and they mumbled something about the environment. Since then I've tried to find something even remotely close for a replacement. Yes, there are some nice perfumes out there but none will ever really compare to my original Givenchy Organza Indecence. It used to sell for 80.00 at Macy's. What a steal!

Everyone who knows me also knows that I have a lifelong relationship with Givenchy's Organza Indecence.Sadly,like many wonderful perfumes,it has been discontinued. So imagine my joy when I discovered the collection of "les parfums mythiques" which also contained my beloved Indecence. This perfume,sadly,has nothing to do with the original perfume. Sure,there is a hint of cinnamon, a dash of vanilla,a dose of amber,but it has nothing to do with the lush original.The staying power is also disappointing. If anyone from the house of givenchy happens to be reading, it is better to reissue this perfume than trying to tamper with classics.And the fans of Organza Indecence,better hunt a bottle in ebay.

I am so disappointed and sad. They reformulated my most favorite perfume in their line. I have almost all of them. A few I didn't care enough for to even buy but I even bought most of the limited editions which were insane because a)they smelled fantastic b) they wouldn't be made anymore which makes you nearly horde it when you can find it. All of the reformulations are just cheap versions of the originals and a sad attempt at winning back customers. If I want a knockoff I will buy from the perfume guy in the parking lot, not an upscale department store. P.S. If you ever want to see a grown woman cry, hand her one of these.. I know I did.

I so wanted to like this one, but it just turned dusty on me as if I wiped my arm across an old forgotten shelf. Maybe my nose isn't mature enough for it yet... It's weird, sometimes patchouli turns into a nice vanilla scent on me like in Burberry London. And then sometimes, in this case, it's much more pronounced like the first spray of Muegler's Angel. Overbearing, I couldn't get far enough away from my arm. The sales lady at another store must have noticed me suffering because she brought a towlette over to me so I could wipe it off. She agreed with me that it smelled dusty.

Beatiful cinnamon with generous unsweet, spicy vanilla, . The powdery,dry vanilla resembles the Eau Duelle , the same vibe,not the scent. Absolutely gorgeous winter /christmas in the bottle,and i have to say, i see not so many differences between the new and old issue is minimal, at the most i ́longevity. But for all that, on my skin it holds all day . Beatiful. It`s already hard to find, grab it, as long it`s in the shops. The perfume pyramid here is incomplete, i read the ingredient list on the package, a Fragrantica list miss many tmaterials within Please correct it.

This smelled amazing..but surprizingly it reminded me of how slightly similar it is to Kenzo Le Elephant with its spiciness but this is way more toned down and much nicer and sweeter so its the perfect balance..it's what i would of loved Kenzo to be..so i prefer it over Kenzo but with one spray Kenzo is wearable where as this is always wearable..very nice fragrance! Oh i did not like the original organza that is out today the white florals are too much but indecense is amazing. I think unless you have owned this i would buy this retail..so many fakes out there today

I was also a big lover of the original Organza Indecence. Luckily, before it got discontinued, the clerk at the store where I usually purchased it told me they were running low, so I bought the last three large bottles and hoarded them the last few years. Well, I am down to a little 2 oz. edp spray and saving it for a special occasion. I did buy the new version, and it's not bad, but just not the same, and expensive to boot. Why, oh why do they try to reformulate a good thing. As they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This new version has very little to do with the original Organza Indecence. It makes me wish that there were regulations regarding this sort of thing. How can you call a perfume the same thing if the juice is different. In this case it's very different. The original Organza Indecence has an amazing sillage and lasting power. The fragrance has depth and warmth and is well-composed. This new version is weak and has not depth. It's very, very sad and I feel cheated by Givenchy.

It smells amazing after vanilla and orange to my nose, nothing biting, but lovely sweet thing. But the longevity and silage is far far away Organza Indecence used to be. This modern formulation is a way to get the customer ripped of their money - you have to reapply more often. The only way to make it hold more is to spray in your hair if you don't mind to make your hair broken with the time. I ordered it but it would get back because of its lousy silage quality.

Unfortunately I never had a chance to try the original version but I had great expection about it. Probably the new version is nothing like the original one. It did not cause me anything. It reminded me of Meharres by l'erbolario but i prefer the italian one. What a bad surprise. And the seller said it hasn't changed. I don't believe and will keep on looking for that old beautiful bottle.
