L’Interdit Le Parfum

Testing L’Interdit Le Parfum from a 1 ml Givenchy sample. L’Interdit line is one of my all time favourite designers line! As a huge lover of all shapes and forms of tuberose dominant perfumes, I have amassed through the years about seven different versions of L’Interdit. So when I’ve heard about a perfume edition, having added in the blend mimosa flower, another of my favourites, I was sold immediately. Today, my sample has arrived and I am wearing it. It’s exactly what I was anticipating it to be. A very fruity, sweet, juicy opening blend of pear and crisp green apple, balanced with a big bouquet of tuberose, mimosa and jasmine on a very warm, resinous, amber, vanilla base. All masterfully mixed with a pinch of vetiver and patchouli... It it significantly different from the previous editions to worth purchasing a bottle for FRP?? No, it’s quite similar to the EDP and EDT to be honest. More intense, warmer, a bit powdery, nutty and more ambery. More of a spring and fall L’Interdit, but very much in the line with the rest of them. A truly intoxicating white floral perfume! Do I want to add it to my collection in the foreseeable future? Absolutely yes, but once the novelty wears off and the retailers start selling it discounted. I have enough versions to wear if I am craving this gorgeous floral, fruity DNA already... Would I recommend this version to anyone who loves tuberose and doesn’t have already an extensive collection of tuberose perfumes?? Absolutely yes, it’s beautifully made!! Side note, I prefer the tuberose from Givenchy over the tuberose from Armani. I feel like these two perfumes lines, L’Interdit and My Way, have quite a bit of similarities in the way that tuberose is done, but Givenchy launched it first. And Givenchy made several flankers with distinguishing nuances and contrasting notes.

On my first try, in cold weather, I noted down a bubblegum opening going into powder vanilla drydown. Maybe I used too much, or maybe it just wasn't the right time. The second try was in warmer weather, and I was able to distinguish a mix of the top and middle notes dancing on my skin, evolving constantly, so it's hard to define what it actually smells like. One minute it's the jasmine-pear, the next it's tuberose-apple. It gives the impression of a sensual fragrance, warm, spicy but in a good way, worn by a gorgeous, elegant middle-aged woman. Confident, self-sufficient, but appreciating good company and excellent sex. It pairs nicely with stilettos and the scratch of a stubble across the collarbone.

It's mysterious, warm and rich and a bit "serious" compared to what I usually wear. I don't quite understand the opening, but I really like the dry down! I see what they mean with "resinous notes" and I think it's to die for in colder months. If someone asked me for a fragrance with a "dark academia" vibe, I would suggest this one. I can picture someone wearing this in an old library where everything is made of wood and the windows haven't been opened in some time. It's freezing cold outside and it's getting dark, but you're cozy in your warm uniform. I'm really enjoying this! I honestly think that some guys could pull this off magnificently, so I clocked this as unisex.

This one is absolutely gorgeous! it opens with fresh apple and pear, carried by creamy white florals and playful mimosa. when it dries down, sadly the apple disappears, but if you let it settle for a while the resins will fade in with an every so subtle smokeyness from the vetiver, making this a very elegant, very grounded scent. mimosa, almond and creamy, almost rice milk-like tuberose remain prominent throughout. there is also something slightly powdery and vanillic in there, but I can't identify what it is. If only my beloved apple stayed for a bit longer!

I sprayed this by chance at a perfumery and was instantly spellbound. On my skin, it opens very fruity with pear and mimosa, but it never becomes sickly sweet. I’m not sure why, but the opening has a vintage feel to me; perhaps the combination of tuberose and mimosa brings to mind something more classic (dated, but by no means out of style). As it develops during the drydown, the fragrance grows increasingly deep, warm, and resinous, with myrrh and opoponax taking center stage. It is an absolute joy to wear, especially in milder weather.

Most womanly and easy to wear in the line. Nostalgic opening followed by an oriental dry down with a warm and rounded body, which I find quite soothing🧣. And if you’re into bubblegummy tuberosy accords like me, you will find comfort in the Parfum. There is a powdery/musky tail but the vetiver balances it out, saving the composition from drifting into the vintage territory. The overall vibe for me is luxury wrapped in a cashmere blanket; it is something I would wear to an important meeting or a work dinner.

I actually like this one the most ... smells different than the original. Does not have that annoying bubble gum effect .. honestly the original was hard to like and i have used most of the flankers (currently i love the Angelique one) but almost all would hit my senses and be too edgy. This one seems the most well rounded out of the whole lot, so i am definitely impressed ... It smells like a niche perfume - Bhavna Darira Chesan

It is weakest of all L'interdit collection. It smells very subtle, I could just dive my nose into this, so beautiful, but I can't even feel it after 1hour. It stays longer on clothes, but disappear from skin very quick. I love this fragrance, but it is not worth the price! Rouge Ultime still my favourite. Edit: it's been 5 hours now, and I actually can smell myself. Like it grown on me. I do like it a lot!

After several samples, I couldn't decide and bought both Absolu and this one. I would say that perfume is for day and Absolu night. I had both on my arm for several hours and also in the evening. I like it when I can still smell the perfume after several hours. The smell is amazing. I like Ansolu better and it suits my personality better, but this one is also very sexy for the day.

An amazing release from the line of L interdit by Givenchy, this perfume has Character.. Although Absolu is one of my favourites, this one here was a love from the first sniff the amazing harmony of fruity, floral layers. tuberose and mimosa in the opening makes it radiant, it drys down to a lovely gentle fruity fragrance feels more of unisex perfume im loving it Over all 9/10

I am sorry but im so disappointed received it today, i had high hopes since i loved every single l’interdit except for absolu one. This one very flowery sour faint smell disappearing almost immediately (no sweetness or any amber inside). The weakest of them all ; skin scent regardless of « le parfum » mention. Thats where givenchy signs its end for me.

Is there really no vanilla in this? It's so vanillay to me. If there's no vanilla then this creamy almond/tuberose mix is magical in a way I've not come across before. Love it. Don't care for the others I've tested in the line - find them generic and too mature, while this is elegant and addictive. I also don't normally love tuberose - so this is fun.

This may be my favorite flanker. The bubblegum note is not nearly as strong as it is in the OG, the Pear and apple are very prominent in the opening before they disappear to allow the jasmine and (more understated) tuberose to join the party. Longevity on my skin is quite good and lasts forever on clothes. Definitely a good edition to the line.

This stuff is gorgeous. Its rich, sexy and alluring. I feel like I have my ass in shape when I wear this, but unisex? I dont think so. My sample just says parfum though, not le parfum. Its also an eau de parfum concentration. But its definitely the black and gold new one.

Tuberose tends to be an instant love for me, and this one was no different. Sweet, fruity and floral at first. Deep, sexy and mysterious after. I could honestly see myself wearing this almost year round. She is a beauty.

This perfume is sophisticated and elevated. Beautiful fruity opening with rich sweet notes like Mimosa, and that rich base. Its crisp in the opening, and settles pleasantly.

Great designer white floral from Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo I haven’t tried the entire L’Interdit line, but I remember the original as rather bland, while L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge, though successful, felt too aggressive for my taste. As someone who gravitates toward niche fragrances, I rarely write about designer releases (with the exception of private collection lines). Still, L’Interdit Parfum is the work of Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo, and that alone warrants attention from niche enthusiasts. After all, Carnal Flower - one of the most iconic white florals ever created - comes from Ropion. Like the Rouge edition, this Parfum (still an EDP concentration) stands out impressively in the vast and fairly homogeneous sea of mainstream designer scents. That said, the niche world is full of floral compositions that are completely comparable to this one. This isn’t necessarily a criticism: I’ve sampled countless niche fragrances that are far less well-crafted than L’Interdit Parfum. But it does highlight two things. First, within the designer realm, this fragrance is a genuine gem and absolutely worth trying. Second, the niche landscape has expanded so rapidly in recent years that many releases no longer reflect the original meaning of “niche.” In both quality and uniqueness, niche and designer have grown closer, and the boundary between them feels increasingly fluid, more like a line drawn in water. L’Interdit Parfum is well constructed, and the notes are undeniably appealing. A fruity, lush pear note ushers in a voluptuous white floral bouquet that captures attention immediately. The tuberose is quite heady at first, but it soon settles without ever fading away. Tuberose and Jasmine are perfectly balanced with Orange Blossom being slightly more shy. The bright fruity nuance softens yet remains perceptible in the background. The composition leans sweet, with a creamy, rounded texture. As it dries down, the fragrance lightens and becomes airier. The base plays only a minimal role, which is where it differs most from niche scents in the same category: it lacks the depth, complexity, and challenge that niche florals often aim for. There’s nothing particularly distinctive here, yet the overall quality surpasses much of what’s found in the designer sphere. It stands among the best designer white florals currently available. For comparison, some more complex fragrances in this genre include two of my niche favorites - Queen of Silk and Amethyst Soul - as well as Jasmine des Anges and Supreme Bouquet from designer private collections. In the end, L’Interdit Parfum feels like a reminder that designer fragrances can still deliver refinement and pleasure without chasing shock value or needless complexity. It may not break new ground, but its polished execution, beautifully blended florals, and approachable character make it a standout in its category. For niche lovers, it won’t replace the depth or nuance found in more ambitious compositions, yet it offers an undeniably satisfying wear - proof that sometimes quality and coherence matter more than originality. I've had two versions/flankers of this, the edp and the millesime ones, I got rid of the edp bc of the grape jolly rancher overpowering note, not hideous per se but not for me, that note is a bit down on the millesime but in that one I expected a stronger white floral tone that wasn't there, kind of underwhelming honestly, I'll probably give it away. I've tried a couple of the other flankers and they seem unremarkable. Now I got this one as a present, and because of my previous experiences I wasn't very hopeful but ohh I'm pleasantly surprised, it's much more complex and definitely "retro", it gives me the impression that this is how l'interdit is supposed to smell, like an old lady say some?? Maybe, but revamped and anew, sweetened in a contemporary way without it being a (so overused, pleaseee stoooop) cotton candy. Is the grape jolly rancher there, a bit yes, and for a brief moment is fairly noticeable, but then it's wrapped by this sweet resinous ambery tones which makes it really enjoyable. I would say this is definitely a more let's get serious (and wink to niche without being that of a statement ofc) l'interdit and I love it. A Beautiful white floral perfect for a date on a chilly night.

Dark, moody, stylish vibe that better suits a commanding presence or personality and hints at luxury. Tuberose here is prominent and I happen to love it. The sprayer delivers a fine mist making it easier to overspray. All versions are more appropriate for cool weather. I tried edp vs absolut vs Rouge and am still on the fence. Absolut has the perfect balance between tuberose and tobacco/rum/cadamom yet it fades after an hour. Rouge, to me, is similar to Absolut plus cherry which I am not fond of; another downfall is the short longevity. Edp (Clear gold, not Parfum edp with black square interface) has perfect tuberose-patchouli balance which makes me swoon enough for a full bottle - only downfall is its enormous sillage which overpowers me as well as the room.

I’m a L’Interdit range fan and had high hopes for this. It’s not the bold ‘Le Parfum’ strength I was hoping for. There’s a lovely pear note which is nice alongside the tuberose but it’s not as stunning a perfume as that bottle would suggest. I would have said there was amber in here, but apparently not. As for unisex...maybe. Wear what you want. It’s been an hour and it’s faded pretty quickly. Not impressed by this. Nice if it’s the first L’Interdit in your collection, but I won’t be spending the money to make it my eighth.

This is the best flanker of them all. While packaging is not the most appealing or unique one! I honestly didn't think it was a new release until I actually saw a label on the counter that says "New"! Its a dark intense fragrance very suitable for winter cold days, maybe autumn as well. The 3 resins/balsams mentioned in the dry down are giving a mouth watery intense feeling. With a CONTRAST of fresh pears🍐 & apples🍏🍎 in the opening notes is just incredibly well done!👏🏻👏🏻

Almost hypnotic! A very intense perfume, powdery and deep at the same time without smelling dated. Definitely more mature, a bit dark and mysterious. I generally dislike white florals, especially tuberose and jasmine together, but this is very well done. I was expecting an instant headache but I wore it twice without getting one. It's strong, not suitable for the office or hot weather, more of a special occasion perfume.

Quite dissapointed by this release, it starts so nice, a bit fresher, fruiter, you could really smell the green apple, but strong L'interdit, without that bubble gummy version of tuberose, only if it just stayed like this, but then it turns a bit heavy, kind of oily sweet, slightly headache inducing aroma.

Among the contemporary versions of L'Interdit, this one features the softest tuberose, allowing the notes of mimosa to take the spotlight. It’s a quieter, more refined version of white florals, lacking the sensual, fleshy character of tuberose. Subdued in projection and longevity, calm and balanced.

It’s a beautiful floral and somewhat similar to the original but different enough to have both in your collection, nice tuberose/jasmine scent, a bit sweet but soft although, but the initial blast is strong. Anyway, I probably won’t get it bc it is similar to other scents in my profile.

The floral notes are the same as the original EDP, but smoother and more refined. The harsh bubblegum notes have been toned down a bit. Instead, the resin gives it a more mature look. It would be better if it was stronger and had more diffusibility. The staying power is excellent.

Mmm not a love for me. Definately a like, though I do prefer the OG. This one has a lot more sweet and sticky notes to it. Its a bit more cloying and headache inducing if im not careful. Spray to much and it'll make me sick. Similar to the OG, just sweeter and heavier.

pretty nice. i would say it stinks a little but in a good way, like there’s something weirdly addictive about it. i love l’interdit edp though so this is not a surprise. i would just say maybe this one is a little less versatile, but quite beautiful overall.

It is very floral. Just like the main pillar. I do not find it stronger or more concentrated but the notes sound clearer, masterfully crafted. As if put together anew. Tuberose and jasmine are the main players. Feminine. Likeable. Classy. Just a wrist test

I'm not a fan of heavy fragrances. This one is bearable even for me. Very heavy, so recommend it for winter and evening. Can be too overwhelming but on a bright side you need just a little spray to smell stylish :)

White floral, juicy fruit at the beginning and as it then dries the resins and vetiver emerge to balance it and gives it a sexy more mature finish. Would be great for an evening out, date night or event.

If you don’t like the previous versions and found them too camphorous, this is the one. This is gonna be my Interdit!

Reminds me a lot of a syrup I had for sore throats as a child. Very nostalgic, not sure I'd want to smell like that.

Excellent parfum féminin j'aime beaucoup.

This new Interdit Parfum is pleasant, but sadly nothing remarkable: a sweet bouquet of white florals uplifted by a touch of pear. Rather unexpectedly, once it dries down, I catch a subtle nuance reminiscent of olive oil, delicate yet present. I suspect it comes from the myrrh, which, combined with the juiciness of pear, creates a slightly green/bitter, resinous effect, reminiscent of blessed oil used in religious rituals (the vetiver might also play a role). Overall, it’s a likeable fragrance and certainly wearable, but not one that stirs any real emotion. Edit : This very green, slightly bitter after-smell that reminded me of olive oil has, over time, become much more pronounced on my skin. As a result, what I initially found honest has turned into something rather unpleasant. I strongly recommend testing it on your skin first.

I tested this first on paper - white florals, amber, apple/pear. It was sweet and fruity. But it wears completely different on skin. The white flowers are still there, but its very resinous. It doesn't smell bad, but its the middle of wildfire season where I live and I find this overpowering right now. It feels warm and heavy, and almost has a dried out quality to it. I look forward to testing it in a different season. It's not for me right now.

Elegant and mellow compared to the previous L’intredit flankers. It’s quite balsamic with all the resinous accords and a sweet, inoffensive mimosa. This is the Catholic sister who goes to church and journals every day. The polar opposite of the two femme fatales Rouge and Rouge Ultime. Overall the scent profile is very yellow, warm and Mediterranean.

I’m not loving this fragrance. It’s too strong for my taste. It smells good, in a headache inducing way. Definitely for a more mature audience in my opinion.

Ogni tanto vedo questo profumo (e tutti i suoi piccoli cloni) e non ricordo come mai non mi piacevano. Allora ne spruzzo uno e immediatamente capisco perché. Dal primo attimo sento quell odore di uva fragolina che mettono in tutti i profumi: black opium, poison girl,hypnotic poison eau de parfum, tutti i loro flancker e tutti i loro cloni,e in tutti questi interdit. Questa nota da nausea intossicante e fruttata si combina a un turbine di misto tuberosa e roba oscena che non dà tregua. È talmente brutto da essere imbarazzante. E poi che gusto ci sarà a farne mille tutti uguali. Veramente disgustosi.

Confusingly the sample card says "L'Inderdit Parfum" on the outside and "Le Nouveau Parfum" on the inside, and this entry has yet a third variation in the name, "L'Inderdit Le Parfum." But the photo of the bottle on the sample card and on this entry match so it must be the right one. The "nouveau" part refers to this being the 2025 version I presume. So anyway I don't like it.

Sampled it today on my skin, I can only describe it as a watered down version of the original, and when it dries down, it smells a little green, like mint leaves or something like that and then it disappears! Less than an hour, for a "le parfum" Is super weak. The original is way better. I wouldn't buy this one at all, waste of money.

Greasy. It smells oily and thick, like olive oil with a hint of the og L'Interdit in the background. I love the original and the flankers but this one is a definite pass for me. However, I did receive a compliment from my son, who never comments on my perfume! He thought it was beautiful.

Whoever said olive oil in the dry down is SPOT ON. Not impressed with this new release...they could’ve made it so much better and interesting, but it’s a miss.

Floral overdose οf tuberose. It feels so heavily concentrated that loses the magic of nature. a synthetic, 'immortal' bloom that feels more like dying flower than a living flower. Or Plasticky baby doll i will agree with this review

Made me realize I dislike tuberose and absolutely hate mimosa. There's also a note that makes me think of rice. Top notes are nowhere to be found. Has a balsamic quality to it that makes it last forever. I can't stand this.

Plasticky baby doll. Sweet fake-fruity floral. Hand soap at the overnight camp I went to as a tween. 👎
