L'Interdit Nocturnal Jasmine

I reach for this little beauty consistently as my perfume choice. The Jasmine is stunning and it works well in all weathers - here in cold Scotland and, more recently, as my tropical holiday scent. The performance is decent - it lingers in my surroundings for a good few hours, people can smell it without it being in their face, and the scent profile remains pretty linear throughout. It makes me feel feminine and powerful. The jasmine is wonderfully floral but the patchouli brings out a lovely depth. I’m a big fan of the L’Interdit line, although I seem to have all of them except the OG, so I can’t compare it to that. This is limited edition so I’ve bought a couple of back-up bottles so I’m not disappointed when it disappears from shelves. This little bottle brings me great joy.

The most beautiful Jasmin out there. For such a beatiful and ubiquitous note, I am often disappointed by the renditions of some perfumers. Malle's are flat, Serge Lutens uninteresting, Le Labo too plain...this one is a masterpiece. It evoques a Jasmin that is mysterious and intoxicating, "nocturnal" suits it very well, it brings the other floral notes of L'interdit to the fore, it illuminates them. It's so absolutely beautiful and complex without becoming too much. Beautiful beautiful beautiful. Shame that this is a limited edition.

I really like this - intoxicating jasmine notes that just get richer and deeper on the dry down. Highly recommend trying on skin as it definitely came alive there (testing on paper doesn’t do it justice). It’s a warm summer day here in Australia and this is performing really well. It’s got good sillage without being overpowering. I’m not getting straight patchouli on the dry down - on my skin at least it’s almost a vanilla note with the vetiver keeping it fresh and not overly sweet. Just lovely!

Smells just like I remember it.....I used to live in California, LA to be exact and in the warm evenings I use to smell the night blooming jasmine and this smells exactly the same! Love it! I’ve searched far and wide for this smell! Brings back memories of my time in California. I’ve smelled so many jasmine scents to find this one is the beat! Please bring it back DO NOT discontinue. Highly recommended if you like L”interdit and jasmine! More jasmine than anything else! 100/10!

L'Interdit Nocturnal Jasmine is one of my favourite perfumes and one of the most beautiful realistic jasmines that I have smelled. It has the DNA of the original but it is lighter and fresher, and reminds me of jasmine tea (my favourite). It's a high quality perfume and while the longevity and sillage are average, the scent is incredible and a wonderful mood booster. To me this is magic in a bottle :-)

This flanker is really beautiful, It proves that L interdit is one of the best perfumes out there once more. The Jasmin is not a regular one..it's something more beautiful and hard to describe. If you don't like Jasmin scents, it doesn't mean that you will not like this one in here. There are other notes to this perfume as well which you can find on the internet if you are curious.

Really good longevity. Spray it in the morning and it stays on my skin till evening. If I spray it on clothes I can still smell it says after I sprayed it. It’s a really beautiful fragrance. It’s not dark or mysterious or witchy in any way so if you’re looking for that you won’t find it here. What you will find however is a sweet but not too sweet, elegant, lady like fragrance.

This fragrance needs to macerate to fully develop, but oh boy is it good. It has this rich, jasmin , deep fragrance. Love it for layering.

Smells gorgeous on paper but smells like cheap candy on me I'm going to cry. When I first sniffed it at the store it was a complex smell that layered white floral with dark warm notes and I immediately knew it was *the one*... Alas I must have smelled something else at the same time or something. To describe the smell on paper: sweet and a touch magnetic. If this perfume was a girl.. she would be introverted, soft and shy from a distance, but secretly "dangerous". She's flirty & cheeky when you approach her and get closer. There is a push and pull: one moment she's distant, another moment she's clingy. Did I just describe a cat? Maybe. Then this cat is made of sugarcoated bubble gum. I just wish it had more depth and more warmth. All in all there is an initial intrigue but there's no connection and I'm quickly bored. Now I will be searching for that smell I sniffed. Edit: I found out a way around it without smelling like cheap candy! I made a perfume cloud and walked through it. There is a bergamot/almost menthol like quality to it that's cooling. Layered with a soft, elegant fume of raw sugar. A completely different vibe. It smells almost naive, maybe lolita. Still not the exact smell I'm looking for but I like it a lot - If they release a hairspray I'll definitely get it. I guess for now spraying it on my clothes or my jacket is the way to go. Edit 2: In simple words - It reminds me of a shisha flavour but with a dark sticky sweet layer on top.

it is a variant of 'Linterdit', that's for sure. From the first spritz, all I could smell was L'Interdit. It fills the room with the same addiction-like gorgeous tuberose (just like the original, even though it's not listed here). After around 2 hours the tuberose fades into the background and jasmine takes over. By doing so the fragrance becomes 'smaller' (lacking a better word or metaphor) - something I never thought of "L'Interdit". P.S. @Latetothescene: just because the fragrance wasn't available in your region or it hadn't been launched there yet, doesn't mean that others haven't tried it yet. I used to work in a prestigeous parfume-shop and we got samples months in advance, before a fragrance was launched.

Another beautiful creation from the l’interdit line Initial spray is incredibly similar to the original edp. I believe the l’interdit DNA is just too strong to not take over the show. Immediately I was disappointed... but wait, as it starts to develop, it went to another direction. The heady tuberose is replaced with flirty and airy Jasmin. Beautiful and fresh! I was pleased. Tbh, it didn’t wow me as much as the intense did. Yet it is still a wonder fragrance to own. I found myself grabbing this particular more than the intense and the original edp. Could be because it’s really a summer appropriate scent. Longevity and projection is moderate, not as a strong performer as the OG. Happy to own this beauty

found this one for a bargain price of $40 for 1.7oz bottle - have tested multiple times in store and quite liked it even though I have never been drawn to this line despite testing it every time. I even had a sample of the original I threw out. But this one I am drawn too - even when I spray and smell on clothing the next day. It's not that close to the original but it is lovely. less cloying and tones down the vintage element the original has a little. definitely works on my skin. Lasts a reasonable few hours. UPDATE - the patchouli in this is headache inducing at time - like someone below said one spray the walk through as it can be too much. If mon Paris triggers migraines steer clear folks

I got this because I love Jasmine. But like with the L'interdit Rouge and L'interdit hair mist I own, it's only beautiful after I got over the overpowering bubblegum scent. Loving floral sweetness but definitely not a fan of candy sweet scents so I have to endure the first few minutes of discomfort before I get to enjoy the rest of it. Not sure why I keep giving this line a try. Been wanting to get the Intense but I think I should stop by now and save my money on something else different or rosey instead hahaha! To note I live in a tropical climate so sweet candied scent to come across overpower I feel.

It's an original L'Interdit (EDP 2018) + Jasmine tea. Don't take the name seriously, there is nothing nocturnal, dark, witchy about this flanker at all. I wouldn't mad if they called it "Jasmine daydream" lol Personally, I think this one is a little bit sweeter from Jasmine, but got darker or woodier aspect from patchouli. It's such a joy to get a whiff of this scent for first or couple hours. I even felt relaxed. Not much perfume make me feel that way. However, the performance couldn't match with EDP. *Sigh* No worries, just overspray it! XD

I love the L’Interdit line but this one smells the same to me as the OG. They should have made it smell at least different like both the Rouge and Intense versions. If anything this one is a bit softer than the OG, but the rest is 99% the same. At $173 AUD for a 50ml bottle it’s way overpriced and there’s no need to buy it. It will get used but it’s disappointing that it’s nothing really different.

My favorite of all the L'Interdit versions. The Rouge and Intense....were just..."OK"...but this Jasmine one "POPPED" to my nose. Will purchase it soon !!

Very similar to the original. I was hoping for a strong jasmin note but the jasmin is rather weak and definitely not what I would associate with "nocturnal" . Not need to buy this, better stick to the original which also has better performance.

Rubbish longevity, smells so similar to original but original is a much better interpritation of darker white floral and the performace is also alot better. Save your money buy the original edp

This perfume is truly beautiful. I love the gorgeous jasmine used in it, and it still has that familiar L'Interdit feel but with a sweet warm Jasmine. It’s such a pretty scent, and I really enjoyed wearing it.... But... Unfortunately, it just didn’t last longer than an hour on my skin or clothes. Every time I wore it, I felt disappointed because it fades so quickly, which was a shame because it smelled so good. I eventually sold my bottle for that reason. I honestly don’t see the point of having a perfume that disappears so quickly. One hour just isn’t worth it, at least give me 3! At the very least. No one else could smell it on me after 30 or 40 minutes, which is really unfortunate for something so beautiful. Smell 9 /10 Longevity 0/10

99% identical to L'interdit EDP. It takes about 2 to 4 hours for Nocturnal Jasmine to transform and become more jasmin-y, but the change is so subtle that it hardly justifies spending 100 bucks on this flanker. I wore original on one arm and NJ on the other, and OG beats this one by a mile. I have to admit that i am not a fan of that dry down, there are better jasmines out there. I adore Givenchy perfumes but i am debating on sending this one back. A big disappointment. They ought to stop with L'Interdit flankers. UPDATE-I am wearing it again, and yes, I am keeping it. It's like fresher, more wearable OG L'Interdit (current version).

@vitaminvici, i think the real reason why most people are saying that they dont know why this is called Nocturnal jasmine is because this is 99% similar to the original. I think we all know what nocturnal jasmine is, especially being into this hobby and being members of Fragrantica. It's just that, in all honesty, this flanker was just a quick money grab for Givenchy due to being almost identical to original EDP. Only reason i kept my bottle and did not return was due to the fact that i adore Givenchy and this is Milessime edition which is sure to be collectible years down the road.

The Givenchy website lists clearly a Warm Apricot note in their description of this. Why isn't this note listed on Fragrantica is beyond me! This is what's in their description: "With a single spritz of Givenchy’s L’Interdit Nocturnal Jasmine Édition Millésime, you’re instantly transported to the label’s blossoming exclusive harvest. With powerful, wild floral notes that envelop you while hints of spice and warm apricot are released, the label’s iconic floral fragrance is enhanced with olfactory beauty for a scent that will surround you for hours."

A so-called nocturnal jasmine or the jasmine that is picked up at night is NOT the same flower as ‘night blooming jasmine’ which smells distinctively different. It just provides more aroma compared to ones being harvested during the day for certain purposes such as making jasmine garlands and adding fragrance to some traditional Thai food (Khao Chae rice). In fact, that nocturnal jasmine is pretty much the same as normal jasmine if used as a perfume ingredient. Oh, marketing tactics... Leave L’Interdit alone already.

This feels like a lighter version of the original L’Interdit. Like if it was thinned with watery jasmine. I love the original and love jasmine, but this is a disapointment. The only reason to choose this is if you want a less offensive, more office appropriate perfume.

You guys really don't know why it's called nocturnal jasmine? It's called that because the jasmine is picked at night while the flower is closed, that's why it smells different do normal jasmine. It smells wonderful.

I finished a 50ml bottle of this in 2 months- it was that good. I think it is much bettee than the original and any flankers.

10/10 for the performance, gosh, this won't go away even if you beg for mercy

I love this line. Just take my money, Givenchy!
