Play in the City for Her

For most of my 20s and early 30s I had a Givenchy signature scent one after the other; Fleur d’Interdit, Amarige, Organza. Then I started explore other houses and got addicted to this expensive hobby. But I would occasionally come back to try Very Irresistible, Dalia noir and divine, Mariage and Indescence. While most Givenchy creations are unique and sophisticated, Play in the City is less than mediocre. It is a soft feminine floral sweetened with red berries and vanilla. It has a pink powdery creamy feel to it and a very tame but interesting licorice note. Overall it is pleasant but generic. It is a very intimate skin scent that is not as unique as other perfumes from Givenchy. Note: my bottle is more than a decade old and the first spray smelled of a latexy citrus similar to what I got from my old Clinique Happy bottle, but it lasted for only 5 minutes (unlike Happy).

Longevity and sillage are almost non-existent! A complete waste of money, never again! What a pity licorice was nice anyway ...

This sounds very intresting, and better than the first one. Play in The City sounds more unquie, than repeativie like a lot of perfumes do. Plus I like the bottle. I'm crossing my fingers, and hoping this is one of the great perfumes of 2013? If anyone knows when this will be available, and where it will be sold at please let me know, thanks.

This smells like a bowel if salsa with strong lime and maybe strawberry. I’m getting pepper for some reason... smells like a Mexican restaurant and even my 2 kids both agreed!

I would really like to try these one, I've tried the other editions too and I even have the Play EDT. Totally lookin forward to it!! =)
