Rose Ardente

Fiery rose. This is a very different rose fragrance. It opens up very spicy, fiery and I guess smells a lot of something like chillies that others mention, although not listed within the notes. Then you get a fresh rose with leaves and stem. The overall feel of the fragrance is watery and translucent. As it develops, it is tart like biting into blackcurrant. Then it smells like unsweetened fruit tea. In the drydown you are left with blackcurrant mostly and at the very end something a bit animalic, but very faint. It is an interesting take on rose. Very well blended and quite light. It doesn't last more than 5 hours on my skin and it's mostly a skin scent.

I once saw the advertisement for this perfume, and with a name like Rose Ardente, I thought that it's gonna use chilli or pepper as ingredients... But no... This is spicy rose fragrance indeed, but they utilise amber instead, and it gives off the nuance of warm, cozy, and elegant. A sophisticated rose perfume that suits cooler weather. The notes that I detect are blackcurrant, rose, amber, honey and vanilla (people need to find other ingredient to create sweet nuances, honestly vanilla has been overused). This scent projects moderately on my skin with above moderate longevity.

This is definitely a spicy rose, and one of my favorite rose perfumes! I love that it's so different from other, more traditional rose-based fragrances. The chili pepper blends so beautifully with the other notes. This is a fragrance I find myself reaching for year-round. It lasts a long time and has decent sillage without being overwhelming. The price is a bit steep and comparable to many other high end brands but it's for 100ml, which is double the size of a TF private blend for that price.

One of the best roses. Vanilla, honey, and jammy yet slightly tart and sour rose. It did remind me of Lettre De Pushkar, but unlike Lettre rose accord in Rose Ardente is much stronger. Smells divine, sillage, and diffusion are on top. Shame this whole line is discontinued. But if you come across it somewhere or on resale please take it and give it the love it deserves. In return, Rose Ardente will guarantee you endless joy and tons of compliments.

Beautiful jammy rose with a spicy twist of chilli, fabulous just fabulous, long lasting and great sillage. Worth every penny imo.

ROSE ARDENT from L'ATELIER DE GIVENCHY (Review on July 17, 2025) After many moons passed. I finally actualized that this is very provocative fragrance. No, not a way in aggressive, strong fragrance. But how scent arrangement. Purely designed to evoke the sexiness feel. Hot, Allure, Lust and Greedy. But in-control, substantial and intimate. You could use Empowerment but that not a case. The precise combination of Delina and Atomic Rose. Put in a most balance woman profile ever : Patchouli, Powered Amber and Floral Rose. Then you put most desired rose on top. "That is how Rose Ardente create". I reserved this now when I want to go to somewhere with extra emotional. Either Pub or Special Event. This will do. You gotta wear Rose Ardente. To feel how the scent walk. And You will really know. You doesn't really need anything further than this. And that's probably the most balance but seductive fragrance and I have tired. Don't put Nicolas Bonneville : a man who understand woman so well with Joelle Lerioux Patris : The female deity. That's scary. Let's keep Rose Ardente this way. ===== (Brief review on 21 Sept 2024) I think this is beautiful rose twine with honey amber and dry hot patchouli is very sexy manner. Kind of hot way. A hot girl in clean shirt. I like this for that. It have soft boozy spicy tone, smell like hot Liqour, veil of soft sweet vanill really never cover the patchouli nor rose. No overly shouty. Yeah I like this. I think "La collection particulière" slight more futuristic, sharp and mild metallic. I like both direction. ROSE ARDENTE is Floral Amber in my humble opinion covey very loose Chypre format. I like the fact that this is Spicy Ambrey Rose, which is very few in the market going this way. ======

This is a luxurious and refined rose. This is a sweet and spicy rose that has depth. This scent has presence but it will not over power you or others; moreover, the sillage radiates beyond a skin scent to about a two foot area and the longevity is about 2.5 to 4 hours. This scent is akin to Frederic Malle's A Portrait Of A Lady but Rose Ardente is lighter and not as complex. Overall, this is a beautiful and modern take on a rose scent. Rose Ardente is a fragrance that is versatile enough to wear spring, summer and fall.

A beautiful bright red, sunny rose. Pink pepper and some hesperidic (bergamot) in the opening and sandalwood, amber and some musky notes in the dry down. Almost a bit animalic and naughty in the dry down. A really pleasantly surprising release and addition to this successful line that I love very much. Spring has not even arrived yet, but I bet this will be a best-seller for summer! Something to look forward to. 8/10. Great, bright and vivid rose (with a raunchy after-taste).

Oriental rose dipped in sweet honey and vanilla. Warm, pleasant, quite intense. Lots of amber. It's not my type of scent, but I like it.

Opens like a rose lover, but it quickly fades into a watery version of flowerbomb. It loses all its tart brightness. Said to be spicy with pepper but it's straightforward and limited.

This is pleasant and definitely of high quality. I like the idea of l'atelier series of givenchy fragrances, the bottle design and of course the shape of the cap which resembles couture tailoring. Rose Ardente is a passionate, delicate and inviting warm rose mixed with a touch of berries that can never go wrong for anybody. This combination of the notes might not be the most unique,rare combination you've ever seen, yet it's extremely feminine and even though it is not unique, I wouldn't categorize it in the safe zone, as it has something more than being merely safe. I can name some perfumes that smell very close to rose ardente, but the long lasting power of this one is superb. It literally stays for days on clothes.

ROSE ARDENTE: Probably one the best Rose fragrance I have come across. Tried something like 30 rose scents before. The amber/chili pepper add a bit of spiciness and roundness to the composition, but the rose remains the main note. It is gorgeous! The spiciness calms down after 15 mn when a fizzy note brings some freshness to the fragrance for a while (lemon?). The dry down is to die for. Not the basic rose water scent you can find everywhere! Love it! Got a bottle for $90. What is not not to like? PROJECTION (nice): 7/10 LONGEVITY (several hours): 7/10 BOTTLE: very chic 8/10

This had to be a blind buy, since it's discontinued, so I'm happy to say it's a successful one! A beautiful honeyed rose on a bed of amber. There is a hint of spice I guess, but I wouldn't say that's the dominant feature here, just a subtle extra edge in the overall plushness. Fantastic on a rainy spring day. I'm sure this will be lovely for the fall too.

Litchy and over cloying roses... This is very lucious and juicy but over cloying. Litchy, black current, sugar syrup honey, bergamot, then Turkish roses.

I think they stopped making this line. So happy I bought this when I did!
