Very Irresistible Eau de Parfum

An extremely silky, lightly spiced rose/vanilla potion. I envision a silky slip-on dress with thin spaghetti straps, high heels, and a sexy fur or trench coat. Maybe some sequins somewhere. A deep red or plum lipstick. Glossy manicured nails. This fragrance gives me the feeling of just walking into a chattering, lively party crowd at a bar downtown in the autumn or winter... New Year’s Eve vibes where you may be a little more dressed up than usual, but you’re fully down to get drunk and sing corny songs and dance like a lunatic with everyone. A mix of glamour, naughtiness, and romantic charm. This is my favourite evening wear perfume. I feel so sexy, romantic, mischievous and ready for a night on the town when I wear this. As another reviewer noted, the mixture of anise and roses creates this intoxicating floral and lightly spiced blend. The vanilla note keeps things smooth and sexy. The lasting power and projection are excellent, and the bottle is beautiful. (I do like the colour purple though so I am biased.)

I purchased Very Irresistible eau de parfum because I have been looking for a beautiful fresh rose scent to wear often. My favorite for years was Joy, but it has become just too heavy in indolic jasmine for me to wear often. In Very Irresistible I love the way the green apple and clove combines with those beautiful roses. Rose can be a difficult note for me. I love it, but it can turn musty on me.I can see myself wearing this often, and in any season, unlike so many that I own. I usually couldn’t care less about the fragrance campaign model, but I love Liv Tyler. I felt she was an interesting choice. I’m from Boston and I have been a fan of her dad’s band since I was a pre teen. I would love to read more on the roses used, including the Liv Tyler. I also love the eau de toilette and have ordered the Sensual.

This fragrance reminds me a lot of Rose by L’Occitane, with that same deep, multi-dimensional profile of roses, but it’s definitely sexier. The star anise gives it a spicy, more mature edge that really sets it apart. The patchouli in the base adds a grounded, earthy touch that complements the entire profile. It’s not the most complex perfume out there, but it lives up to its name, because it’s truly irresistible. The rose feels fresh yet bold, and the spicy notes keep it from being too traditional or overly sweet. I find it perfect for winter and spring, and it works well as a daytime fragrance, but can also transition into a seductive night scent. It performs really well and lasts long enough to make an impression.

This had been my signature perfume years ago I used to found it extremely sensual as the name also say it. Absolutely every time i used to wear this all men asked me what I use because i smell so sexy and good. I remember that I went on a date with a guy, he said he is falling inlove with me because of how good I smell. Than after few years I met the love of my life and I was thinking to use this one again at our first official date and he also said the same. I think it contained some pheromones because I can' t find another explanation. Anyway now I changed my tastes but I still find this seductive and unique, not a common fragrance at all and still use it sometimes. The longevity and performance are moderate.

I am plain & simply in LOVE with this! I own very few (like maybe 8 or 9) fragrances and wear maybe 3 of them (2 of them don't last on me) I don't have time or patience for perfumes that don't have longevity. I was trying to find a new signature scent because really, Obsession by Calvin Klein doesn't portray who I am even though that has been my scent for 30 years. Obsession was the only fragrance that lasted on my skin. I have just started testing and playing with scents. This was the 3rd sample I've tried and I have found exactly what I was looking for. My search has ended, this is it! Now I need to find a decant of this! I think this is the most beautiful scent in the world!

I remember as a teenage girl I would walk into my older sister's closet just to spray some of this good good. This scent does a number on me in that I have not come to anything close as impeccable as this gorgeous scent. I have worn this the last, I would say 12years and is still a favourite of mine till this day. Its hard to describe the notes as I am not 'perfume eloquent'. But, I will say for those that have not tried this and love to feel/look womanly and walk in confidence. This is it baby! Longevity 9/10 Projection 8.5/10

It makes me happy, up lifted and feminine. I personally find this good for daytime, it’s sparkly, transparent, almost soapy, absolutely floral. Yes it is quite strong, just two sprays will give you a full day’s wear, but I don’t relate it to a night gown (dark) but more to a spring day bright color outfit. An energetic scent. Wakes me up and just gives a good day mood. Not for people who dislike very floral scents. I love it.

This is a beautiful perfume, I have both the EDT & EDP. The EDT has that citrus note in the opening that makes the scent cleaner and sharper. The EDP has a creamier more rounded out scent.. This one in particular is very nice clean, fresh spicy. I'm enjoying it. Both will get you compliments and both very long lasting. The citrus is just more prominent in the EDT and the vanilla more prominent in the EDP.

I received this in a swap...I love it and I'm surprised because patchouli is rated as a dominant note (which I generally don't like). This is on my top 5 list and definitely worth trying.

Very Irresistible EDP is special to me. It's one of the first perfumes I smelled in a magazine as a girl and was taken by its glamour. I was completely starstruck. I had to have it. However, it took me quite a long time to figure out that this is NOT the same formula as the more popular version (listed simply as Very Irresistible in the database). In my opinion, this version and the Sensual version are by far more delicious and striking. I think Very Irresistible is spoiled by the verbena note, which adds a note of freshness that simply doesn't work. In this EDP version, though, without the verbena, the rose and anise are the real star notes. It's a sensual, feminine, spiced rose. There's something youthful and confident in this, and I think Liv Tyler represents the fragrance perfectly. She's gorgeous, yes, but a little mysterious and unusual. Like this scent. If you can track it down, it has the name printed in white on the bottle, which the other version does not. I hope this helps someone out there. This is a beauty!

Wow, this Givenchy line has so many flankers! This version is very feminine and lady-like. At first, I was intimidated by all the rose notes, but it doesn’t smell oriental or rosewater-heavy at all. However, there’s a sharpness I don’t like — I think it’s from star anise. After a few hours, it develops into a very feminine and beautiful floral scent, but I really don’t enjoy the opening. The opening also has apple tartness, a hint of spicy sharpness, and rose. Its longevity and projection aren’t strong. Overall, it’s an interesting perfume, but I don’t think I’d ever want it in my collection. خیلی فمینین و خانومانست. اولش ازین همه نت رز ترسیدم ولی اصلا بوی شرقی و گلاب گونی نداره. البته یه تیزی خاصی داره ک دوستش ندارم فکر کنم برای استار انایس باشه. وقتی چند ساعت بگزره ی بوی گلی خیلی زنانه و زیبایی داره ولی ابتداشو اصلا دوس ندارم. هم ترشی سیب توشه هم تندی ادویه یی و هم گل رز. ماندگاری و پخش زیادیم نداره در کل عطر جالبیه ولی فکر نکنم بخوام توی کلکسسیونم داشته باشمش

One of my top 5 scents and the BIGGEST compliment getter (especially from men)! This is sexy, mature (not in the old and cranky way but in the confident and skilled way), seductive, alluring, hypnotizing, frankly I could go on and on about how amazing this is. This is more of a special occasion perfume for me, as it does seem to turn heads and grab attention like crazy. There has not been a single time I wore it and people did not compliment me for it. Even strangers! ABSOLUTELY SPLENDID SCENT! The anise just does something wonderful to the composition. Back in the day I was a VI Sensual lover, but then Givenchy decided to change it's name to the EDP version. Now, people claim that it's not the same, but I swear it's the same to me, it's not at all any less good than what it used to be. Projection and lasting power seem good to me, it's not weak but also not the strongest.

Very Irresistible feels like a very vintage perfume - it is a heavy, heady floral with a spicy, opulent bouquet of roses. It reminds me of the perfume my grandmother used to wear, and I don't mean it as a bad thing - she was an elegant lady with a great sense for fashion and love for that specific brand of French chic. I bought this perfume planning to make it my everyday scent, but after a while, I found it too strong - it does have a great silage and longevity, but after a while even the drydown becomes too strong. I wouldn't give away this perfume, but I moved it to the *special occasions* shelf. And I don't mean all special occasions, just those nights or days when you want to feel really elegant, chic, and a little bit old-school and distant.

I have it for years, coming back from time to time, because it perturbs me. It isn’t just a lovely rose, spiciness is present, raw exotic kitchen, digestive unsweetened tea, stubbornly awaking my nose, forced to notice the fragrance again and again. Aniseeds enhance rose’s metallic cold tones, they are searching each other without finding a peaceful accord. But this gentle cacophony could be the single way to prevent a rose scent to become quickly as natural as unnoticeable, like a boring naive film. So I keep it and wear it again. Just for the pleasure of being willfully disturbed by it and enjoying this game.

Is it just me,but it is sooo light so undetectable that i have to burry my nose in my wrist to smell something.people say it has sillage,it has lasting power,but i think it is the most non lasting fragrance in the universe.I am so sad,because i really like it and i want it

Fresh realistic rose, crispy, with a touch of green verbena. This aromatic touch makes the fragrance very alive, a smell of petals and chlorophyll, of garden, of sap, an hesitating rosebud in the mornig in of the rose garden «roseraie ».

This is the current formulation of Very Irresistible, one of the few sexy womanly roses in an ocean of pink girly princessy roses, mainly because of the fresh soft spicy anise, which gives it a mature oomph.

Very seductive, floral scent that I wear at nighttime!

I think I am in the minority here, but I am not crazy about this scent. For some reason I thought it would be sweeter than it is and more traditionally spicy. I blind bought a .13 oz bottle very cheaply, so it is not a great loss, but I am very disappointed in the fragrance and doubt I will wear it again. Not sure if travel or weather had affected it, but it is a chilly, rainy, late October night and I am dreaming of sweeter scents. I like the EDT, though, but not this one.

Reformulation is barley a faint whisper of the OG I rocked back in 2007...

This is definitely mature scent not my cup of tea.

Either I am anosmic to it or it does not smell as much as it should. I did smell something nice half an hour after bathing myself with it, but nothing strong enough to allow me to identify the notes. I applied it on my wrists too, and five minutes later it was gone. EDIT: Thank you, Socorrosouza. I'll try that. Its longevity seems to be pretty good -I can smell it on my sweater, But it's funny, it's faint and overwhelming at the same time.

I’m not great at breaking down notes, but I don’t need to be. This is the kind of scent that speaks for itself. If you love feeling womanly, polished, and magnetic, the kind of confidence that turns heads without announcing itself, this is that fragrance! It wears beautifully, lasts all day, and leaves just enough of a trail to be remembered. Longevity: 9/10 Projection: 8.5/10 Still a favourite. Still unmatched.

Anosmic. Try spraying as little as possible at weekly intervals, sometimes the nose gets used and the anosmia lifts, sometimes not. But spray as little as possible because the nose is overwhelmed by some note (or mix of notes) and the objective is to get the nose used to it (them)

I am anosmic to most of this, which is unfortunate for me because the part I can smell, I like. I did, however, layer Delina Rosee over this and it enhanced DR in some way. I can't even describe how really but the two together are lovely.

Not crazy about this perfume but I’ll say it’s perfect for days you don’t know what to wear... kinda love / hate relationship with this... sometimes resistible, other times Irresistible

I liked more the older 2003 version. What a pity that it's so hard to find anymore. It's so beautiful. I got both versions.

This new bottles looks similar to the new look of Dior Addict... Oh, both brands are owned by the same company. Surprised?

It's lovely. Feminine and indeed irresistible. Long lasting, elegant, and stylish. I am surprised it has so few comments.
