After reading many comments on hte longevity of this fragrance I find it interesting. I am not used to Ylang as a scent as it is more feminine but I must say that it lingers on my skin for hours. Maybe when someone is too used to a particular scent this person becomes olfatively blind. This can happen to people who wear the same scent each day and can't smell it on them anymore. Having said that, I just received my bottle today and I must say that I really like it. It brought me back to memory lane, end of the 80s, beginning of the 90s on the French riviera. It is so reminiscent of this era. Maybe it was Amaraidge that I was smelling at that time without knowing it. But I must say that I would happily wear this lovely fragrance as it contrasts very much with what I usually like.

Ylang Austral - a new take on the classic Givenchy Amarige. Modern, feminine, fresh, exotic and not too sweet thanks to the leaf and wood. I love it so much. Unfortunately it doesn't last long on my skin. To improve longevity I layer it with the original Amarige.

Intense ylang-ylang scent. At first it is very fresh and nice, but unfortunately after a while it starts to be sultry which is typical for dominant ylang-ylang scents. A scent for sultry sirens I guess. Not for me as I like freshness.

If you like Ylang Ylang this is your perfume. I purchased this particular fragrance because I wanted a ylang-based perfume that was to be offset by sandalwood and orange leaves. Reminds me of Chanel 5 and I am having a hard time to detect either the mandarin leaves or the sandalwood. I was hoping for a muskier and more masculine take on ylang and such is not to be the case. A lovely perfume but a disappointment for masculine wearers. La Labo Ylang is more to my taste.

Wonderful pure ylang ylang fragrance, exotic and woody...I tried it this morning at Sephora on the Champs-Elysées. I really thought I d discovered the Holy Grail I had been looking for for so long...I have been trying to find an ylang ylang soliflore for ages. But NO! Zero lasting-power! It was all gone from my wrist within ten minutes. 170 euros/ 100 ml...what a disappointment! So sad...
