True Story

Really nice actually. Gourmand in every way. Fruity, pineapple, tonka and patchouli. In my option its well balanced and delicate. It definitely has som acidity from green apple/ pineapple which is refreshing and sweet. Silage and longevity is average. I like it but I dont love it. Its a decent everyday perfume in the gourmand section. Its not noisy or messy...definetely has its own a kind of charm. Its the kind of scent that possibly could turn from like to love over time... The drydown is heavenly on me...this has definetely turned into love over time.

The extensive list of notes is so all over the place that I wouldn't really know what to expect from True Story. It sounds like it could be either a real mess or something interesting and special. But in reality, the scent is surprisingly generic. It starts similar to Armani Si, though toned down - with less sharp patchouli, and blackberry instead of cassis. The main notes in the beginning are the juicy blackberry, rose and patchouli with some underlying vanillic sweetness. For a while the herbal notes becomes noticeable, and at this point I think the scent is unharmonic. The herbs are a weird background noise instead of an interesting addition. They're at the same time the only unique and the worst part of the perfume. Luckily, they fade away. The drydown is sweet and creamy with a hint of tart fruits, lots of vanilla and tonka and some chocolate. I get no moss or leather, it's very mainstream gourmand. Does this smell bad? No. But it doesn't smell good enough to wear it either, there are so many better choices. Meh.

this is Armani Si with powder on top. my mom uses Si and I steal it whenever I'm paying her a visit and let myself drown in it, it's comforting and close. unfortunately True Story ended up being a sad story, it started quite nicely but the powdery part took over and I had to literally scrub it off my skin after one hour or so. looks like I'll have to stick with eating chocolate rather than having any on my skin :)

I should start by saying that Armani Si reminds me of Christmas time. I must have first tried it during December festive season and keep seeing it being promoted during this time, with generous samples being given out. I like Si, but on others. No, I actually love it on others, but not on so much on me. I was even lucky to receive a body lotion, which to me smelled a bit different than the perfume, but again it was delicious on others and not so much on me. You're probably wondering why I'm talking about Armani Si if this is supposed to be a review for Glamfume True Story? Well, because True Story is like Si. To me it smells like Si. Like Christmas, like a beautiful woman perfume I love on others and not so much on me. The number of the notes of True Story is like of perfumes from the 80s and even further back in the past. Huge, unlike today's perfumes. When I saw them I never expected True Story to be this close to Si but when I tried it, all I could think about is Si. Si with chocolate in the drydown. Unfortunately only at the time the perfume is barely there. I just haven't decided which I prefer. True Story or Si. I think I'd go for True Story. If only the chocolate emerged earlier and be there for longer. However, if you're looking for Si, this is a wonderful alternative.

I also got this with my parfumdreams package and it smells so good i may have to purchase a full bottle its very fruity, not in a girly summery way but in a really sexy winter night out kinda way. UPDATE : I RECENTLY BOUGHT ARMANI SI , AND I REALISED '' IVE SMELT THIS EXACT SMELL BEFORE'' and i saw a comment below stating the same thing so i know im not crazy This & Si Are Nearly Identical haha

Very generic and boring.A hodgepodge of Fruits. For the Price, you can get much better Fragrances.
