Melbourne Muse

So this started as a mistake - I honestly thought that it’s vanilla and coffee combination, because it’s called Melbourne, duh :D but it’s actually coffee flower, which is a very intense white flower note. There is no actual coffee note - just FYI, if you’re confused like me :D As a white flower and vanilla perfume, it’s beautiful. It’s not sickeningly heavy, and just perfectly sweet and soft. I like this a lot, so I bought also a shower gel with this fragrance :) It doesn’t stay extremely long on my skin, maybe 2 hours-ish, but I don’t expect miracles from Glasshouse fragrances.

I am rarely into sweet scents but this fragrance is LOVELY. Rather than synthetic vanilla essence, somehow Melbourne Muse smells like cutting open a real vanilla pod. It's not overwhelming, and the coffee flower balances it out so well. The only problem with this fragrance is that when I am hungry it makes me crave coffee and pastry. I saw that it is marketed for women but honestly my close male friend wears this and I think it smells great on him! 10/10 cosy hug material. I'd say gender neutral even though it's sweet.

Love this one for wearing to work. To me this is a very delicious realistic green dry coffee gourmand scent that is not too sweet. It is fairly linear in smell where it opens with coffee blossom and maybe a small hint of vanilla. Doesn't have massive projection but i still love it.

Vanilla bean and coffee flower through and through. The longevity is terrible but for the price I don’t mind carrying around a bottle to reapply. Not my favourite from the range but I’m an absolute slag for fresh vanilla scents so it’s still a 9/10 for me.

I love the smell, it has a very specific vibe, like the smart, sexy, cool girl at work. I think it's the coffee notes that make me so strongly associate it with work, I think it makes you smell like you've just come back from a coffee break, but in a good way! Although I associate the smell with work and mostly wear it to work, I think you could easily wear this perfume on any occasion. It has that kind of "I woke up like this" off-duty model vibe. However, the sillage is so intimate and it honestly lasts maybe 4 hours before totally disappearing. It's so disappointing because the smell is great. I won't repurchase it but I will be looking for a better quality version of this smell, I'm happy to pay more for that version of this scent (I'm looking at you YSL). I'm also highly tempted to buy this scent as a candle and moisturizer which Glasshouse also sells. Also, just as a little side note, I am finding Glasshouse's perfumes to be very inconsistent for me, some perfumes last all day (albeit subtly), and others disappear in less than 4 hours. I also find that I either love or hate their scents which are all very different from one another. All their perfumes have quite an intimate sillage on me though. EDIT: I have tested Black Opium and I actually like this better but it is much weaker.

It's nice enough, but has no coffee despite being a Melbourne scent, and doesn't well. It's a sugary gourmandy white floral while it lasts and it amused me to pick it up while in Melbourne. I have the travel spray so I can reapply. Honestly... It doesn't surprise me that it's from a candle company. It smells like the candles my mum.amd brother like. I absolutely don't get the similarity to Black Opium and I'm wondering if people just project (unlike this perfume) coffee notes onto it.

Really like this one - have had lots of compliments on it too. I had YSL Black Opium years ago but prefer this, it's a lighter and less "dirty/earthy" smell! Definitely a cooler weather scent, perfect to wear to work during the fall/winter. I was trying to find something similar to Maison Margiela's Coffee Break, which I love - but don't want to buy a full bottle of it, and could not find it in a travel size. Was delighted to find this instead - I might even prefer it!

To me this is identical to YSL Black Opium, they both last the same amount of time on me. I really like this fragrance for cooler weather, in saying that though I smell Black Opium on every second person so I won’t be buying a full size of this. It’s a warm, cozy vanilla fragrance, it just doesn’t smell unique to me.

Smells pretty much identical to the candle but has such poor lasting power and projection. Sits so close to the skin after 30 mins. Smells like YSL Black Opium. Overall nice but I wish it lasted so much longer and was stronger too...

Definitely one of the best out of the new glasshouse fragrance line. It’s clean, a little sweet, little gourmand and a perfect musky base. It’s quite airy, definitely not headache inducing (personally). This would be a perfect signature scent all year round IMO, I haven’t worn this enough yet to personally know the silage and longevity, but my Mum has tried it for a week because she loves it and it lasts forever on her and the silage is average. If you’re wanting to try the Glasshouse fragrances, I highly suggest purchasing the samples of the perfumes (as always) and wearing them for a few days to see how your body chemistry blends with the scent. This is a great, clean, sophisticated, slightly youthful perfume.

The opening was very sharp and super alcohol but sweet, like rum? After that it just turn into soft flowery notes. I barely smell the jasmine note. Yes you can smell the coffee-vanilla-flower but I need more! The longevity is super dissapointing. Good parfume for office since it's not offensive.If you really like it, you can overspray. I love it but the longevity made me leave.

This is super feminine, sweet, strong. It does remind me of black opium but it’s a bit less in your face. This has more confidence and bad gal vibes. But, the lasting power is not there. I spray it on my clothes and I notice it all day, but on my skin it’s gone in 30 minutes. Still love her!
