Cocco Bello

This is so unique! I have been so impressed with the Villeggiatura collection, that I now own every single one. I honestly wasn’t expecting Cocco Bello to be anything special, but I was so wrong. Cocco Bello opens with the mix of coconut and banana, but I also do get a touch of the sea breeze without it verging too much into aquatic territory. This reminds me of my Italian Grandad actually. It’s fun, sweet and comforting. This is exactly like having a banana ice cream with chunks of freshly chopped coconut by the sea, in the absolute best way. This is a grown up gourmand that you have to smell to appreciate. I can see myself going through this bottle very quickly. This is refreshing and creamy. Sweet but not sickly sweet. The coconut in this is unlike any coconut fragrance I’ve ever smelt. This isn’t suntan lotion coconut, it’s a freshly cracked open coconut off the tree! Even the banana note is fresh. I tend to avoid Banana scents as find them a bit young for me, but not here. I adore it! As it dries down the scent softens. This is a very long lasting scent and the cloud of fragrance it envelopes me in is very relaxing. This will definitely be on my repeat purchase list for the foreseeable future! Well done Gleam! This is an absolute banger! Cocoyster - This smells absolutely nothing like Cocoyster, which was an instant scrubber for me! Heavy, heavy marine notes and no coconut. I sold that as fast as I could! I love every scent from this entire collection, but my favourites (in this order) are: #1 "Scottatura | Gleam" - A unique aloe Vera, green tea and ocean breeze. UPDATE (June 2025) - Ive already used 1/2 of my bottle and have a back up on the way! I wear it daily for work as a Nurse. It’s light and amazingly cooling in heat! Out of my full collection of over 100 fragrances, this is my ultimate favourite currently. I just can’t get enough of it! #2 "Domenica | Gleam" - The one I thought I wouldn’t like. A relaxing, solar/ocean breeze and clean cotton scent. Stunning! #3 "Cocco Bello | Gleam" - A beautiful coconut water and banana scent. Also very relaxing. Shared #4: "Afa | Gleam" (the most unique one. It creates the scene for me of sitting with a glass bottle of Coca Cola, surrounded by flowers in the summer heat, sounds weird but it’s a must try. It’s addictive!), "Camporella | Gleam" (hay, camomile tea & wild flowers) & "Gelatino | Gleam" (An ice cream cone dipped in hazelnuts, melting from start to finish. Amazing dry down!) Each scent is super unique and takes you on a journey in the heat of summer sun. To me these are olfactory masterpieces! I have reviewed every one of these in depth. I highly recommend trying these. I get the coconut and the banana. It's nice and tropical. It has a lactonic feel as well. Very creamy. Nice.

So I get no powder when I smell Vanilla powder. This though a completely different scent, is the definition of powder, but not until a 2-3 hours later. At first I got a pungent banana which I am not a fan of, but the coconut was there so it wasn’t all bad. After it dried down, the banana went away thankfully, and it smelled like a possible contender for a coconut frag, but the recent ones I’ve been sampling have had less ooomph, making them too subtle, (drink coco is a great example, it’s simple and it doesn’t need much, but for the price point it’s such a skin scent, no matter how many sprays, and that’s a bummer). This I only sprayed once on my left wrist, but what started out as ech, not banana, then phew, good coconut, turned to super powdery sweetness of no particular note, just a overly sweet powder dry down. I did order a sample of another one by this brand, and almost regret not getting one of the ice cream one, but didn’t for some reason. The other one I got is much more fresh, not coco focused, but airy and semi aquatic. I will try this again, but will say I get no sand or sea notes (maybe very beginning I get the sand), but it leans much more milky and turns to powder. I saw cotton candy is a note, but I never picked up on that. It is definitely a chameleon frag and I’ve had it on me for the past 8+ hrs, so I will say it has great longevity but the overly sweet power dry down I’ve been smelling for the past couple hours only seemed to deepen, semi reminiscent of the main Chanel frags (no 5, coco, allure- tbh they all smell terrible to me but i know one is worse than the other, a powdery sweetness that I’ve so tried to like, esp when they’ve come out with the shimmery body oils and such, but once I smell the scent I instantly gag. It’s just a mix of old people perfume and sweetness gone wrong, but I live for the former Chanel gardenia before all the reformulations). Anyways, I think that’s what I’m reminded of, as I was once in my dads Porsche and the smell of the passenger seatbelt smelled like Chanel and it was starting to rub on my clothing too, making me so nauseous. He was dating someone at the time but not faithful and I had to keep pressing who the hell was in his car cause the seatbelt reeked of too much Chanel. He tried to dispute me but I wasn’t letting go, so bad that we had to return home as he forgot his phone, and I begged for us to switch to his Audi as that damn seatbelt was killing me. He refused and I then found some women’s lipstick which I know wasn’t mine, and he had to fess up (I didnt know the woman nor did I like his current gf at the time, I just wanted him to confess), and also just feel bad enough to buy me something cause that perfumed seatbelt was my enemy. I’m pretty sure I may have not worn it back home, or tried to slide it away from me but yes, this is bringing me those vibes, so if you don’t like those scents, stay away from this (it could be better next time, but if I’m getting that reaction in 40 degree temps with just one spray on my wrist, I worry how an 80 degree day would take to it). I know I’m still new to reviews, and sometimes I may not have given them enough chance before writing, but when I try something for the first time and it’s bad then good then I can’t wait to get this off my body bad, it’s kind of hard to get excited about trying it more. Points for longevity and it definitely isn’t subtle, 2 things that I like, just not this fragrance.

This opens like the baby diarrhea in Stercus then quickly morphs into the bubbles Palmolive soap made in the 70s. I don’t like this at all. I write my reactions before reading the others. I wasn’t going to say it but the one right below mine states it so I will say it because I experienced the sensation as well, nauseating. IDK about the cost or quality of the ingredients but Bitter0range got the overwhelming and unpleasant part right. Did they not focus group this? This sample is going right in the bin.

I like the banana note but the rest is a mess. I find this composition as cheap even if the price isn't like that... super powdery and artificial.

It just smells like banana pudding and cosmetics. If Smithfield's sold this as a limited edition I wouldn't be surprised.

This fragrance was an instant no for me. It opens with a harsh blast that smells like a cheap plastic toy mixed with coconut suntan lotion. The synthetic coconut note dominates in a waxy, artificial way that feels cloying rather than tropical. Within seconds of spraying, the plasticky sweetness turned my stomach—I actually felt nauseated. Unfortunately, instead of evoking summer or beach vibes, it came across as cheap, overwhelming, and unpleasant.

This fragrance reminded me of my first time sampling Battito d'Ali by Profumum Roma. I was new to niche at the time and was taken aback by how challenging it was. The main takeaway that I got was that it smelled "very italian". Like I imagined an italian man in the country's colors with moustache and all when I smelled it, but I never understood why. The closest relation I had to the culture was the italian festival my city would have every year. This fragrance brings it all full circle as I read the description and got the same exact experience. I suppose I say all this to say, despite sharing no notes whatsoever, this is very reminiscent of a younger and more fun version of that fragrance. Very sweet, salty and ozonic. A very confident fragrance too, don't let the notes fool you. This isn't one for shy people. Those banana hard candies that were like powder in the middle? They used the same exact scent molecule but cleaned up the chalky aspects of it and just left you with the candy banana scent. The way the notes hit me with an almost astringency like Battito is so uncanny though. They both come to a screeching halt in the same spot at the edge of the cliff. Like a light salting with the ozonic notes, evoking memories you never had of sitting on the italian coast. These are fragrances that elevate beyond the formal concept of fragrance to the level of an "experience". But I can also see how someone like the person below me can find it nasty as I originally found Battito d'Ali unappetizing til months later. Absolutely feminine kind of scent profile but if you have fun energy about you as a man, you can pull this off without a doubt. This is a scent that demands light color/uplifting attire otherwise it will wear you. There's nothing "decidedly" feminine about this scent besides the kind of banana used here being certainly fem friendly and "juvenile". Juvenile but refined in such a way a child would never wear this. This wears best on 20-40 year olds, but really anyone that's outgoing and mature with a fun personality would knock this out the park paired with the right outfit. You're a walking entity at that point - this scent is that confident in itself.

This smells like a day at the beach. The coconut is fresh and not too sweet and it's sandy in a good way, like when you've just applied suntan lotion but you also get sand on your skin. Those are the main two notes for me. I can detect the banana but it's not very prominent at all. Not my favorite coconut fragrance because I usually like a sweeter coconut but this is a stunning perfume, perfect for summer.

Someone mentioned baby diarrhea and now that's all I can smell lol...it seriously has a poop note I just cannot get past. I have a full brand new bottle for sale or swap, DM me.

The banana punches you in the face! But a banana that’s been buried in the sand? I get no coconut or cotton candy. It’s not bad but it’s not what I was hoping for.
