Gelatino

I don't want to repeat what other reviewers are saying, the first one by CaroleAnne81 is a spot on review of Gelatino, I also agree with other reviewers that this is a fall, cool spring and even winter perfume as it's warm, waffely, vanillery. To note: The biscuit / waffle note is very similar to whatever is in Creme Brulée by Theodoros Kalotinis and Creme of Clouds by Fragrance World. Gelatino is for die-hard dessert gourmand fans only. It's not a gelato but a freshly baked waffle topped with a huge dollop of melting, creamy vanilla ice cream, sprinkle of hazelnuts and hot caramel. The composition is so well done and balanced without being harsh or heavy. Also the lasting power and sillage is on the strong end for gourmands. I love this but wouldn't repurchase again. Note: I got this with a 50% off discount, but even then I believe the price point is too high. The box packaging is cheap cardboard, and the bottle itself is also not worthy of the $170 per 50ml price point. Sorry not sorry.

This one is really quite interesting and not what I was expecting. Gelatino opens with a hit of the whole ice cream, cone and all, dipped in chopped hazelnuts. As it dries down It’s as though the ice cream is melting in the sun. The scent gets creamier as time goes on. The vanilla ice cream note becomes more prominent, while the hazelnut sits in the background. I’m not usually a fan of hazelnut notes, however in this fragrance the hazelnut is absolutely delicious and really addictive! It’s been 8 hours since I sprayed one spray of this on my arm and the scent is still going strong.The hazelnut note has gone and I’m left with a delicious vanilla ice cream scent. It’s to die for. This fragrance is extremely long lasting. I do love this one, It’s gorgeous!! But I did end up selling it and replacing it with Gâteau à l'Ananas Tomavicci which to me is identical but with added pineapple. Both are amazing scents though! I love every scent from this entire collection that I now own them all. My favourites (in this order) are: #1 "Scottatura | Gleam" - A unique aloe Vera, green tea and ocean breeze. UPDATE (June 2025) - Ive already used 1/2 of my bottle and have a back up on the way! I wear it daily for work as a Nurse. It’s light and amazingly cooling in heat! Out of my full collection of over 100 fragrances, this is my ultimate favourite currently. I just can’t get enough of it! #2 "Domenica | Gleam" - The one I thought I wouldn’t like. A relaxing, solar/ocean breeze and clean cotton scent. Stunning! #3 “Cocco Bello | Gleam" - A beautiful coconut water and banana scent. Also very relaxing. Shared #4: "Afa | Gleam" (the most unique one. It creates the scene for me of sitting with a glass bottle of Coca Cola, surrounded by flowers in the summer heat, sounds weird but it’s a must try. It’s addictive!), "Camporella | Gleam" (hay, camomile tea & wild flowers) & "Gelatino | Gleam" (An ice cream cone dipped in hazelnuts, melting from start to finish. Amazing dry down!) Each scent is super unique and takes you on a journey in the heat of summer sun. To me these are olfactory masterpieces! I have reviewed every one of these in depth. I highly recommend trying these. Love the dry ice cream cone openning but hate the dry down of ice cream melting in the sun, yucky, sticky and a little spoiled. If you are not a fan of lactonic notes - stay away from this.

I have been dreaming of a vanilla gelato perfume for very long. I found this from fragrantica and ordered it even without watching any reviews. The notes were very promising BUT unfortunately this was a very bad blind buy. It opens with a very sharp and powdery waffle cone and hazelnut note. And by powdery I mean chalky. It is just super unpleasant for my nose. After maybe 1 hour I get that melted vanilla ice cream. It feels sticky and like you had left your ice cream cone under the sun for too long. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy any parts of this scent. With my order I got two samples from this house and I enjoyed them so much more.

This one is very warm, not a good match for summer. I loved it at the beginning but now I kind of cannot stand the smell of it. Will be finishing it soon and not repurchase again.

Wow! This smells nearly identical toTomavicci Gateau L'Ananas...Gelatino is Gateau without the pineapple. It's so similar that I don't feel like I need both. I wouldn't consider either option a safe blind buy, even for a gourmand lover. There is a perfume-y element to this and Gateau that I'm not sure I love. I'm going to allow it to sit and revisit. Edit: 1/15/26...this is not for me. Neither is Gateau D'Ananas. Again, they're so similar. I can't even explain what I'm smelling here but it's like a burnt sugar and not in a good way. This is a hard "no" for me. YMMV.

Wow maybe my sample is just really lousy or I am missing something entirely.. I get absolutely zero waffle cone but rather a foul burnt sugar dumped into spoiled milk, perhaps due to the hazelnut. This all devolves into a rather quick dry down which smells like a tanning salon--and not in a good way, it feels sticky, sweaty, and rather gross. Hard pass.

I sampled this and immediately it reminded me of Cheirosa 39. This is a slightly better version but I simply don’t like that DNA. Too buttery, almost popcorn vibes. It’s a no for me. If you want to smell like a fall candle that’s scented in cinnamon, pumpkin, butter and vanilla, give this a try.

This is the type of photorealistic gourmand that I cannot wear. First spray oddly smells like Bailey's Irish Cream or some sort of super decadent, creamy liquor. Then this starts to smell like budget vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone. I find it to be a rather unpleasant wearing experience and also quite artificial and cheap smelling.
