Miss Vanderbilt

I bought a 100ml bottle of Miss Vanderbilt as an online blind buy and it's become one of my favourite blind perfume buys, luckily! At first I wasn't too sure about it, although I definitely didn't totally dislike it either, as it's a little powdery compared to the perfumes I usually gravitate to but that feeling of slight uncertainty about it, and whether it would grow on me, has totally dissipated now and I really love it - it's definitely a gem of a perfume at a bargain price! It's soft, subtle, creamy, a little powdery, clean and versatile, suitable for use for any occasion, day or night, and during any season although maybe more in cooler, not horribly hot & humid weather (when I usually favour cologne type fragrances such as Gotas Fresca, 4711 and Acqua Allegoria). Also, on my skin it actually lasts quite a long time (many hours, and on clothes much longer!) and although it's a subtle, type of skin scent, I get whiffs of it subtly a lot of the time so I do feel it projects quite well without being annoying and overbearing! Also, although the name 'Miss Vanderbilt' suggests it's aimed at a young market, it's easily wearable for women of any age who have good taste in perfumes and who don't want to smell like every other woman out there (i.e. the ones who douse themselves in massively ubiquitous perfumes such as Alien, Daisy, etc! So, this lovely perfume is a big hit with me and it'll join my beloved Lanvin Oxygene and the inexplicably discontinued and utterly gorgeous Escada 2005 / Signature perfume (would have been a signature scent for me had it not been discontinued at the time I only just discovered it!) & Ivoire de Balmain as one of my all-time favourite perfumes! I just hope it doesn't get discontinued now that I've just discovered it (fingers crossed!).

On my skin, this hasn't got much sillage and only little lasting power.What I get is a delicate and sensual mix of cardamon, nutmeg and heliotropethat reminds me a litlle bit of YSL Nu. If I spray some on my clothes , it lasts twice as long and the green and flowery notes become definitely more noticeable. There is nothing harsh about it. The only citrus note is clementine orange, which is much more subtle and "quiet" than bergamot, lemon or orange. I really enjoy smelling and wearing this. It is a "feel good" scent, warm yet airy. Its spiciness and sweetness leave enough room for the romantic fresh flowers to develop. Although it is a "miss" fragrance, so rather aimed at younger women, I think it can please and suit women of all ages. Ideal for spring and summer evenings but thanks to its spicy-creamy side, it is also a nice cool weather scent.Perfect for a date ! My only complaint is that the bottle and box ( very similar to those of the Vanderbilt classic fragrance) can be misleading : This is not a lighter version of Gloria Vanderbilt. They are completely different scents .

Got it yesterday and tried it in the evening after taking a shower. Scent is very delicate and intimate. At first, I didn't smell anything until all shower scents dried and went out so that small cottony flower clouds of scent started popping up gently. It doesn't have strong aura, so people can smell it only if they stand closely next to you. Very powdery and floral. If you spray it on your clothes, it will last very long.... I have smelled it on my PJ early in the morning when I woke up but it was gone from the skin. It really reminds me of Naomi, that first claw she made, mixed with a drop of Kenzo flowers ... But very much lighter.... At the end you get soft powdery vanilla touch... Very lovely. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.

Purchased it for my collection out of pure curiosity, it was a blind buy, however, now it’s my go to fragrance. Smells really nice and soft on me, bit sadly the longevity is not so good. Still a great buy for its price.

Reminds me of a drugstore version of Rance Josephine. Not bad for my $15 investment.

First impressions, after about a day of wearing this (a rainy day, not cold, around 12 degrees). It's nice. I do kindoff get vanilla if I think about it, but it isn't too sweet. Mostly, it just reminds me of hair products with shea, or shea butter products in general. It's a comfortable scent, and a pretty safe blind buy. It is a bit mature and perhaps a little boring. That does mean that it will be safe for most workplaces, and it is pretty cheap, so you could easily toss it in your work bag or locker for a touch up. Scent doesn't last much longer then a few hours. I am spraying with reckless abandon now, and probably won't repurchase, but will likely finish it, its an easy grab, and might be nice to layer with some (yellow) florals or wood.

I like this perfume. It's a great aroma, warm and delicate. With its spicy and sweet elements blending nicely with passionate fresh blossoms. While it is targeted more as a younger lady scent, I believe it can satisfy and go well with females of all age groups. Perfect for spring and summer nights however because of its spicy creamy nature, it is likewise a pleasant cool climate aroma.

I love perfumes with cloves, carnation, cardamom. and i like this too. it's a soapy, magnolia, floral spicy perfume. feels clean and elegant. cheap and nice to wear. if you like dior - poison, Elisabeth Arden - red door (clear bottle) etc. you would like this too.

A sweeter version of JPG Classique to me! Quite sharp on the opening but quickly develops into a shower scent. Very vintage so not for everyone, I can’t imagine repurchasing but it’s a lovely cheapie- the swan bottle alone is cause enough for me.

Splash of ripe citrus turns to a vanilla floral, dries down powdery but there's enough freshness for it not to be a powder bomb. Perfect for hot weather, spring and summer is best.

I bought this perfume as a blind buy. It was only 6 euros for a 30 ml bottle, so it felt like a very affordable and safe choice. The reviews were a bit mixed, but the listed notes seemed safe for my taste, and since I wanted to experiment more with perfumes, I decided to give it a try. According to the description, this perfume is also supposed to be floral. However, on my skin I don’t get any floral notes at all. Instead, it comes across mainly as a vanilla scent with a very strong and overpowering powdery note. The powderiness is especially noticeable when worn directly on the skin. To be honest, I’m not really a fan of powdery scents. I usually prefer sweet, floral, or fruity vibes, so this felt like completely new territory for me. The powdery smell reminds me of a mature woman — not in a negative way, but it definitely gives a more classic, vintage feeling. That said, it is still wearable. I’ll probably layer it with something sweeter or fruitier to soften the powdery aspect. Overall, I don’t regret this blind buy, especially considering the price, but I wouldn’t repurchase it. This perfume helped me realize that powdery scents are not really my thing, even though it is slowly starting to grow on me.

Quite charming actually. Nothing extraordinary, but nothing offensive either, nothing sharp, and some days this is exactly what I feel like wearing. Comforting daytime scent for running errands on a Wednesday morning. I tried it in the local drugstore as it was on sale. Lower shelf, very unassuming. After a couple of days I returned to the shop and I bought it, feeling slightly ashamed for buying a fragrance I'm not even sure I would wear. But I've been happily reaching for it for a couple of days. Perhaps I would be happier without the clove, nutmeg, musk combo, as they tend to turn sour-spicy on my skin, and I don't care much for rose, but I'm very much enjoying its clementine-tuberose-vanilla-heliotrope-tonka line even in this summer heatwave. It is a completely different fragrance and message from its elder sister Vanderbilt indeed, so anyone looking for a younger version of that one will be disappointed. But it is a good and affordable choice as a present for your younger niece.

honestly, not a massive fan of this perfume. It was a blind buy for me as ive just started getting into perfume collection and wanted some unique and unknown brands. I found this on amazon and payed around £10- ish which i do think is worth it to try and keep as a collection. Does not last long at all with very little projection but than i have not put it to the work test. Does have a very potent smell of alcohol for a few seconds. I feel that this smell is for mature ladies bottle is beautiful with a swan engraved into the glass elegant but also smells and looks quite cheap great if you are new to perfume collecting like I am.

a proper 'clean hair right out of the shower' scent. Slightly salty, floral shampoo scent. Not a sweet perfume and I can not smell vanilla in it. Very nice for the gym or any occasion you want to smell fresh and clean. Appropriate for all ages in my opinion.

Reminds me of sheer beauty by calvin klein, which would be more worth it for an extra 10 euro. Miss vanderbilt is okay, but i love layering it with choco musk, even if choco lasts longer than vanderbilt

Pleasant drugstore type a scent. Watermelon, soft musk and gentle floral notes. Geared towards younger generation. Anyone could wear it obviously. Very affordable with moderate longevity.

What a shame. I really enjoy the original Vanderbilt and the NY Minute flanker. But this one leaves me very underwhelmed. A cheap blind buy that will be turned into air freshener. This smells cheap compared to the other 2 and not worth a blind buy. Very bad.

I loved the opening, which was sweet and nice, but then it dries down to a horrible musky powder that I had to wash off.

Didn't work for me. Smell too strong and woody! Not good!
