You Soie

Creamy, dreamy, enveloping, sensual, beautiful. A floral rice coconut pudding. Opens slightly fresh but quickly becomes very close to the skin. Wish it projected a little more. Still want. I want to bathe in this. Can't stop inhaling it. I keep seeking it. The Walt Disney of perfumes - leaves you wanting more. Sits just on the edge of being the perfect fragrance for my current mood. I have a small sample but will definitely buy the full size. My second-favourite of the Glossier You range. The OG Glossier You smells linear and like nothing to me other than pencil shavings. I was always so disappointed that I didn't get the cosiness that everyone else described - just pencil shavings. You Doux - all I get is mouldy orange peel. Rève is ok but nothing special - a pleasant enough cherry-almond gourmand to my nose. You Fleur - I fell in love immediately with this one and have the full size. Soie is another love for me. I don't get tropical beaches or vacations from this. I get addictive coconutty musky rice pudding sitting beside a vase of white flowers and I want to dive head first into it. I find it fascinating that the Glossier You range is so different on everyone and so very divisive. Soie and Fleur are by far two of my favourite fragrances in my entire collection.

personally feel like this is the closest we've gotten to original You while being Not You. the cursed dill/pencil shaving notes are NOT present, and it relies heavily on ambroxan as the base. like many ambroxan frags, you won't get the full effect of this one unless you wear it on your skin. it smells like nothing on the sample paper but once it warms up, the notes start to open up. lactonic is correct - jasmine-forward with the creaminess of cold milk in your mouth and just the slightest hint of glutinous rice - but the bergamot is easy to miss as it's not immediately citrus-forward. on the scale of summeriness, this is closer to the transition between spring and summer; before things get too hot, but after the fresh rain of spring. this is very lowkey - i imagine it's made for the folks that like pre-reformulation you, diptyque, jo malone - and not really Apparent like doux or fleur. i wouldn't recommend this as a blind buy solely because you just never know how an ambroxan is going to react to your skin.

This was an immediate full bottle purchase. I tried it out a few times in store, and between tests found myself wishing I had it to spray at home. To me, I get a very soft rice milk and tiare flower scent with an undercurrent of humidity and fresh wood. It’s a tiny bit sweet, but also a bit mineral and salty at the same time. I’m surprised there isn’t a salt note listed to be completely honest. I get almost no jasmine in this except for on the initial spray. Jasmine usually pops pretty aggressively on my skin, so most jasmine-forward scents just turn into Alien on me almost immediately, but this doesn’t give even a hint of that. I hate the word “creamy” for perfumes, but I really don’t have another way to describe this. It almost literally smells like a body cream. Overall, it’s a lovely hot-weather scent that’s going to probably be abused relentlessly this summer along with its You siblings.

Oh. My. Gosh. OBSESSED with this. I follow a lot of perfumetok creators on tiktok who raveeee about milky lactonic scents and I never got the hype....until now. This is calm, sweet, a little powdery, and truly so beautiful. I don't lean towards these notes typically, so I don't have much in my collection to compare it to, but let me just say it's gorgeous and I regret only getting the travel size! I've seen complaints about longevity but it lasts a while on me! Especially if I spray on my hair and not just pulse points. I do totally recognize some of the comments that compare it to fresh laundry, but it's more floral than that. So soft and sweet, very pretty dry down. Inoffensive skin scent to wear at the office/in public year-round. Definitely a new fave (and this is coming from someone whose body chemistry does NOT work with the OG glossier you!!)

This is the perfect summer scent. To me it smells like water less in the beachy, oceanic way as promised on the Glossier website, and more so like swimming in a creek in the woods on a sunny day, a little greener and softer. It also just smells like really fresh, summery air to me, like when you're in the car driving to the lake with your friends and you stick your head out the window and just want to gulp the air down because it smells so good. Just fun and breezy and free-spirited. After 6+ hours I still totally smell it on me, but it fades into a really nice milky musk, the very classic "your skin but better" You base, but Soie retains some of the greenness, it's like the skin of someone who's been outside all day. This is probably my favorite in the You line besides the OG.

wow. as a You truther and Fleur disliker, this is the most perfect scent glossier has released. the first spray is a little harsh, a spicy bergamot and dry rice.. i understand the comparisons to fleur and doux. however its fleur without the screechy cologney apricot and doux without the pickly sandalwood and sweeping paulo santo. it combines the saltiness and creamy depth of the two, reaching a depth similar to reve after a few hours. however its light and gentle, it smells like clean skin and cashmere. the jasmine is dark and supportive of the rice milk and abroxan. i layer with Miu Miu’s Fleur de Lait and get the creamiest coconutty, deep, solar scent. beautiful for the coastal chill of early spring with warmth, flowers, and salty skin around the corner.

Love love love. I sprayed this on my skin while shopping on a few difference occasions and decided to go for full bottle. I wanted a creamy sandalwood I could wear in the warmer months. While there's no sandalwood listed, the rice and milk notes give off this creamy effect I was looking for. The jasmine and tiare flowers makes for a nice white floral mix while the rice and milk mimics summer heat. It gives the effect of getting whiffs of white florals through hot and thick summer air. The florals are faint enough to be unisex and while salt is not listed, it is so so salty. I love wearing Santal Blush in the colder months and I feel like I found a nice summer counterpart. I'm not saying they are similar scents but definitely both feel like creamy woods.

This is the newest fragrance in my collection, I haven't had time to give it a full wear test but I did spray it as soon as I got it and yes it is what I hoped it would be. I get rice from it, I get clean, rice, creamy, delicious and skin. What a fantastic fragrance. I don't like fragrances that open very green and I didn't get that from this. I sprayed at 4pm on Monday and I could still smell this at 10pm as I got ready for bed, that was on unprepared skin (no moisturiser etc) so I am interested to see how it goes today after a shower etc. I will come back in a few weeks to update and see how this develops, but for how this is a success.

Real perfume lovers know you never judge by initial spray. I was actually a little put off by Soie upon first spray. I remember thinking “this is not what I expected.” However within a hour on smelling it on my skin I had fallen in love. I went back to Sephora the same day to buy a travel spray. I agree with others that the marketing campaign is off. This does not give “beach” or “vacation” vibes IMO. It has a beautiful melancholy essence. It gives “relaxing, reading a book next to lit candles on a rainy day”. I also agree with those who say it’s similar to a mix of Fleur & Doux. Yes, but in the best way!

I read the reviews for Glossier You Soie and I was so afraid it wouldn't deliver. I'm not a huge lactonic fragrance fan, but this blew me away. Immediately the note that stood out was the rice and jasmine. On my skin, the tiare flower really shines through. To me, it smells like a summer evening, skin still warm from the sun. Definitely on the savoury side but I love these sort of fragrances. It is a skin scent but I would argue that's very much what Glossier You does. If intimate sillage isn't what you're looking for, then I'd say you can probably pass on this one. But I love it personally.

Tested this in sephora today in preparation to purchase online, and I loved it! Fleur is my favorite of the Glossier fragrances, and this is the closest to that one. Also my second favorite so far. I only get a hint of rice and milk, personally. It's more floral, the jasmine is super strong. Beachy, a bit sunscreen-y, creamy, clean. Settles into my skin warm, sweet and musky like the rest of the You collection does. It reminds me of laying down on the sand in the evening, where the sun is golden but you're cool in the shade... in more of a lakefront, surrounded by floral bushes sort of way.

I love this so much. On me this is a creamy white floral skin musk with a slight tropical vibe from the tiare flower. In my opinion, this is a stronger and more interesting Dirty Rice from Born to stand out, but with a milky jasmine note. I would agree this is unisex, but I disagree with reviewers below and think this actually leans a touch feminine with the noticeable florals. I know this type of starchy musk isn’t for everyone, but if you like dirty rice, white rice, sand and skin, sunny side up, or want a white floral You Fleur, then you should give this a sniff.

I picked up a travel bottle after hearing rave reviews from Suzy Nightingale and Nicola Bonn of On the Scent. And damn, they were right, it is so so good—I can’t stop wearing it. I’ve tried all the glossier you versions and this is the best one by far. It’s just as easy to wear as the original but with more warmth, intrigue, and sensuality. Who knew that bergamot + jasmine + rice milk + ambroxan would make me feel like the most comfortable, sexiest version of myself. Definitely full bottle and even backup bottle worthy.

Two months after launch, this is the first travel sized perfume I’ve emptied out in years, if not decades. It made me understand why people love a skin scent - but YMMV. The other You flankers were either alright or nothing to write home about for me, but Soie swept me away. It’s the first milky scent that doesn’t nauseate me, and coupled with white florals, I positively love it. 2-4 sprays will keep a close bubble that is only for me. It lasts for about 5 hours before needing a touch up. Graduating to the 50ml bottle.

I’ve tried the original you and the reve version, didnt like them so I thought I wasn’t gonna like this one either, but I got the travel spray anyway cuz I was curious and oh.my.god. The most gorgeous exotic, cozy, creamy, unique scent had enveloped me once I sprayed it all over myself. It does smell like you were at the beach, but not on a typical sunny day; maybe at night or under a cloudy sky. I kept getting whiffs of it for hours and I immediately bought the full size afterwards!!!

I love this. I get like a creamy, milky wood, even though wood isn't listed. It's smoother than Doux even if you considered it a wood perfume. I do get and appreciate the rice here, in most other rice perfumes it's been too savory for me and here it's just fluffy. I think this is beautiful To me it's more in the vein of L'eau Papier. Not a dupe by any means, but a similar vibe. I didn't like L'eau Papier though and I love this

this is stunning and as it is new i’ll just suggest i think it’s wearable all year round or at least a safe option for the period from winter/spring, spring/summer and summer/autumn with an optional layer. i also think the sillage is on par with my fav glossier, you doux, so i’ll be wearing them together, but soie has a special place in my heart already. i think my ranking is doux > soie > fleur > original > reve.

Ummm how is this voted so low?? It’s hella cinematic. This smells like falling in love with someone on an island during a monsoon. Its smells like the rain you’ve been waiting for during a long hot summer. This is absolutely incredible fragrance. It’s sexy, summer, island vibes without the stereotypical island notes like coconut. This is so elegant and these notes blend very well together. 10/10 for any occasion

Clean, warm and creamy. Very wearable all day and all year. A truly unisex fragrance. Really looking forward to getting a full size bottle. I am a big fan of the freshness of Glossier You. The two are different, but equally wearable. As far as family resemblance; think cousins, not siblings. And in the You family Soie is the cousin you want to "go out on the town" with. 😉

i was expecting to be unimpresssed with this fragrance based off of reviews. but i actually found it very warm and comforting. probably my 2nd favorite scent from the you line. it smells very different from fleur despite both being very summery fragrances. its definitely more unisex and musky, its longevity is fairly decent but it sticks very close to your skin.

Sampled it at Sephora. I like the way it smells on me outside of the shop of course. But it’s more Jasmine than I thought it’d be. It’s like if you watered down some Alien by Mugler by a LOT. Ok- I’ve been wearing it for an hour+ now. I really smell the rice and milk on me. I love itttt. I’m surprised by how much I like it. Keep smelling myself

I must not be smelling what everyone else is. This is way better than I expected. Creamy with a milky rice note blended really well with the florals. I wasn’t a huge fan of fleur but the closer to the drydown is when I catch the similarities. Im not sure this is the flanker we needed, but coincidently it might be the one I prefer the most

i don’t like the original glossier you, but i smelled this one at sephora and loved it enough that i had to just go ahead and buy a travel size. it’s so spicy and cozy without feeling heavy and without being at all sweet. the rice actually makes it vaguely reminiscent of kilian moonlight in heaven (aka my all-time favorite fragrance)

I JUST got this one because Amazon had it on sale and I already wish they sold a bigger bottle! It is AMAZING! It's a creamier version of You Fleur which is my favorite You until this one. I might share it with my husband because if he were to wear this, I would be ALL OVER HIM!!! It's THAT GOOD!

this is.. perfection. Creamy but at the same time watery coconut. I did not expect to like this, I usually don't like anything coconut. I wear this everywhere, especially right before bed. It's so cozy! Performance is so weak tho but that's alright. I'd rather reapply than having a headache.

For me this is cozy. I think it comes across as a basmati rice scent, a bit spicy. I've been wearing this exclusively to bed after a shower and it's lovely. I don't wear it out in the daytime because I feel like it might be cloying in the heat. I think it would be nice in cold weather.

Blind bought this and ohhhhh my god. Both the initial spray and dry down are so DELICIOUS!!!! I don’t know how to describe the notes but.... Addicting and cozy. It lasts about 2-4 hours so a travel or decant is necessary.

kind of reminds me of oddity's naked dance?? has the same musky milky rice bergamot thing going on. where naked dance is earthy, glossier's you soie is watery. and the bottle looks like sea glass. gorgeous!

Though the combination of notes looks strange, this smells just like it's flankers but even more beautiful! It's like kenzo amor only not sweet, which makes this my new favorite!

My favorite Glossier fragrance. I think it is more masculine-leaning. Very nice for spring/summer. I wear it to work often. Lasts pretty well on me and my clothes.

Softer, more feminine version of BTSO dirty rice. Rice and jasmine. Good for layering. On the bottle wishlist, but maybe after I finish my bottle of Dirty Rice.

This is really your skin but better. Really pretty. Only beachy scent I've ever really liked. The ambrox manages to do something very magical here.

Creamy coconut & savory rice. The Ambroxan & florals save it from being overly gourmand. It has the perfect amount of sweetness. Very sexy.

When I saw the notes, I had to try it. Just from studying, Soie looked like it was in the same vein as some of my favorites, including Poesie’s Soft and Floral Street’s Arizona Bloom. I’m surprised to say Arizona Bloom lasts longer, as that one’s longevity is impressively short as well. But no, Soie said “hold my flanker” and surpassed as one of the shortest-lived fragrances I think I’ve ever encountered. From the very first whiff, I’ll admit I couldn’t even detect it. Where was it? I just sprayed it! Right off the bat, this one’s longevity and silage are equally disappointing. Truly a shame how many times I had to spritz just to make an assessment. Four spritzes, and I could finally pick up the citrus on the opening. Not ten minutes in and poof— gone. On the offhand, from what I can make of the dry down, it’s exactly as I was hoping— a salted whisper of warm musk. (Obsessed with this and salt notes/profiles in general, lately; I find they flatter sweet notes in a way that’s understated and comforting, yet equally sophisticated.) For some reason, Soie jogs the collective memories of finding and playing with seashells, hands still warm from being in the sun all day. A bit nostalgic, a bit balmy, very innocent. Sadly, the shortcomings for Soie are too much to be swayed for a full purchase. Similar to the original (You), the travel size is perfect as a first-and-last treat. They just don’t last. All said, a safe blind buy (if you can smell it), naturally office-friendly, and easy to pick up if you’re into musks and skin scents. I would hope Glossier starts looking into longer-lasting versions in the future.

I've yet to purchase and a little caveat, this review is based on putting it on myself at the store where a tester was available and going about my day afterwards. Tbh smells like Glossier You Fleur to me without the fruity note and dries down creamy/sweet like Doux. If you aren't familiar with either of those, it's all white florals to me, maybe a bit of that soft musky ambroxan over the top. Smells like the drydown of a white floral heavy fragrance like Gucci Bloom where the headiness has kinda meshed with your skin's natural scent and whatever's left is a gentle whisper of the jasmine note. I don't get any of the rice or lactonic milk notes personally. It's all white florals for me. Since I have all the other Glossier You flankers atm, the collectionist in me had every intention to purchase at least a travel sized Soie right then and there but I couldn't help but do a wear test first. Overall, it's a pretty fragrance and if you are either a Glossier loyalist or don't know many perfumes and are looking for a white floral fragrance that isn't cloying/more skin scent like, Soie will do the job. I personally will not be purchasing at all as I have other soft floral fragrances I already use and like.

Initial review: this is from my first sprays ever of You Soie, so I reserve the right to change my opinion after more wears! The opening of You Soie reminds me immediately of Nuda Veritas from Atelier des Ors, mixed with You Fleur. I honestly was surprised by the comments saying this was a strong vetiver perfume and the comparisons to Violette FR Avec Amour (which I also own for comparison!) as on me it’s a soft solar floral... HOWEVER after about two hours of wear on skin the one and only note I can smell is vetiver, in the exact same warm-dusty-oatmeal smell variety as I get from Avec Amour. The florals hung in a little longer (about one more hour) on my sweatshirt but that too has since disappeared as of the 3 hour mark. I will be looking forward to trying this one on a hotter day (I live in New England and it’s March so... cold). Edit 1: I’ve been having this nagging feeling that I missed an obvious comparison based on how familiar this smells to me and it hit me today - Maison Margiela, Bubble Bath! Acquatic milky bergamot, clean girl summer fragrance. Bubble bath is stronger by a long shot though. This one is way more subdued.

There is absolutely a beachy undertone here, it just doesn't unfold until the drydown. To me, Soie smells like if you sprayed Reve and Fleur ontop of your sunscreen. The fragrance is definitely creamy thanks to the jasmine and tiarre, but I wouldn't say I smell the milk note particularly. If you like a solar/sunscreen vibe in perfume, then I think this is worth adding to your collection. But if you already have Reve or Fleur and don't prefer that vibe, I'd say skip it. I really like that there is a little bit more complexity to this Glossier release. I was worried it was going to smell like a funeral based on all the reviews. It's not bad at all! Rating: 7/10 UPDATE: I've had my bottle a couple of months now and it's gotten so much richer and creamier over time. Everything I mentioned before is now amplified. I think the projection and longevity have even grown stronger with maturation as well. Now that my bottle is more primed, I really really love this. Especially in these summer months of course!

A pale, silken riceflower. Or a dainty beige crayon. Very here for milks and starches (my favourite food groups) in the olfactory mainstream, and I think Soie will be the prime gateway for many. It’s a creamier, more gossamer incarnation of Oddity’s already whispery Naked Dance, and the least ambroxy of the You brood. The notes pyramid checks most of my all-time faves, but in execution I wasn’t floored. Don’t get me wrong: I like it. It’s such an easy wear: clean, cosy, perfectly balanced. But so transparent. I tried it on both flesh and fabric – over six spritzes – and it barely lasted through breakfast. Soie makes the OG You feel brawny and Fleur almost atomic. But if you’re looking for a veil of jasmine rice you can carry like a secret, this is your skin scent. Mental Snapshot: Strolling a white sand beach. Shy laughter beneath the bedsheets. Weaving a crown out of wildflowers. Peekaboo beneath a bridal veil. A sun-bleached dead wife montage. tl;dr: shy rice 🍚🙈

For a Glossier perfume I'm quite surprised at the lasting power on this one! Personally I find Glossier You Soie is quite unique from the other fragrances in the collection. If I had to compare, I would agree with the reviews that the scent profile does feel a bit similar to the Reve and Doux fragrances, however the notes on this one do lean more lactonic with strong jasmine and bergamot notes as well. It does smell a bit like sunscreen but not in an obnoxious, synthetic way, to me it smells like a beautiful summer day and would make the perfect summertime fragrance especially on those warmer days. If you like lactonic scents however you're not a jasmine note fan, I might suggest skipping this one and reaching for the Glossier You Doux instead. Overall really lovely fragrance.

This one pleasantly surprised me. Based on the marketing, I was expecting to have a piña colada thrown straight into my sunscreen-covered face. Instead, it's far more sophisticated and restrained. I get creamy coconut and airy white florals wrapped in warm, sun-kissed woods. There's a subtle salty freshness running through it that keeps the sweetness in check, so it never veers into tropical body mist territory. The sandalwood in the base gives it the smooth, skin-like quality that makes the whole composition feel effortlessly wearable. It's not overly sweet or overtly feminine—just a cool, laid-back unisex scent that smells like golden-hour warmth rather than a beach cocktail. One of the few tropical fragrances that feels genuinely understated.

As a lover of Glossier You Doux as my everyday winter wear, as well as a long time L’Eau Papier fan, I was extremely excited to pick this one up (in fact this was definitely the moment impulsive ‘big’ perfume purchase I’ve made). The jasmine is definitely the prominent note, but in this perfume it works with the rice/milk notes in the way that it leaves a creamy sweet sun-soaked trail rather than being more of a skin scent. It’s sweet and surprisingly strong for Glossier You, and on my skin it definitely lasts over 6 hours! I usually go for ‘unisex’ perfumes so this one is a lot sweeter than I’d usually enjoy, but that works for a sort of radiant, almost sexy summer scent and I’ve really been enjoying it as a counterpart to Doux!

People are being so dramatic about this one.. I personally love it! To preface, my favorite Glossier perfumes are Doux and the original. I like Fleur too but I don't think I'm going to rebuy a full bottle once I finish mine. Reve was the only one that has not worked for me. This one sits somewhere between Fleur and Doux. It has the summery freshness of Fleur but the cozy woody feel that Doux has. I know coconut isn't listed but I smell coconut in this. Maybe it's the rice milk? It kind of reminds me of that Method Simply Nourish body wash if you've ever smelled that. This might be my signature summer 2026 scent!

I love Dirty Rice, which is my daily driver, so had to try this. First, the branding is nuts - this is what Doux should be, and it has nothing to do with the ocean. I get lactonic rice, slightly sweet, and sweaty but not dirty skin. It is definitely similar to Dirty Rice, albeit less smooth. It’s closer to JHAG Sunny Side Up, but this has a much less harsh opening and wears slightly longer. Not as good as Dirty Rice (but close, and cheaper) and better than Sunny Side Up. If you have both, you don’t need this.

as the world's biggest you doux stan my hopes were very very high for this release. i literally just blind bought this and it genuinely smells like molly tea on my skin. i can imagine it layered with dedcool's mochi milk would enhance the jasmine milky vibe i get from this scent. unfortunately the last time i got molly tea the wait for my drink was 70 minutes (worth it tbh) and there's none in my city so until a branch opens locally glossier you soie can fill the snowy jasmine-shaped hole in my heart

I know this was advertised as a beachy scent, but it's nothing like that for me! It's gentle and intimate, smells like jasmine and sugared rice. A little creamy, but in a soapy way, like putting on fresh lotion after showering. This smells like a cool spring day, walking in a garden that's lightly raining, after you've just showered. I can't smell any citrus at all, and it doesn't feel like it has the usual glossier you footprint to me, but I still like it quite a bit.

Sweet Sweaty Summer Opens with a heavy bergamont note that fades pretty quickly, felt pretty masculine. The longer it sat, the more unisex it became. On my skin, the dry down is like a musky jasmine coconut milk. In harsher heat, I understand the sunscreen comparisons, but in a nice way. Not something I'd want to wear while sitting at home, but it's a perfect scent for going out on hot days. My second favorite of the You line, behind doux.
