Gardenia Palm

I am a dry skin girly, even in the humid miami weather I am D.R.Y, and I absolutely hate to moisturize ( i know call the cops now) so finding perfumes that last on me is a really difficult task. This performs incredibly well on me. I spray right after my shower on my pulse points and it lasts me 12 hours. The smells is a prominent gardenia. It registers on my PH very green and ozonic with a floral soapy undertone. This scent brings to memory a very clean aesthetic. It makes me feel like the kind of woman who always sleeps in crisp white sheets and has ice water with every meal. It's clean, crisp, fresh. I absolutely adore it, and for the price point its definitely a constant rebuy for me.

I bought this a few years ago back when Target used to carry it. I'm wearing it today after only wearing it probably one time since then, and I'm liking this more than I thought. It's a "like" for me, only because I prefer deeper, richer, gourmand sweet scents, but I can't wear those easily in the Texas heat so I HAVE to find something else to fit our weather. Gardenia Palm is actually working out really well. I'm training my nose to like more white floral scents... as long as they have something a little sweet or buttery to them they're fine for me. This one does have something slightly lactonic/buttery, as well as a hint of a green note with should be the palm. This really is a great Spring/Summer scent.

The tester I tried did not smell much like gardenia, but I did get the palm and ozonic notes. It reminded me A LOT of Clean's Air and Coconut Water (which is not in the database).

After wearing this and intimate fantasy back to back, i can hardly tell the difference. Maybe fantasy is a tad sweeter? Must be the iconic note I'm smelling in them both.

This does not smell like gardenia. It’s not a bad scent otherwise but sniff and it’s gone....

Gardenia Palm by Good Chemistry is a safe and clean floral, and while not my favorite, the price makes it a good catch. Again, it is very, very clean, and if you’re a big floral fan looking for an elegant gardenia fragrance, you might find that the soapy ozonic note is too overpowering for your tastes. There is a slight bit of sweet waxiness in between the zingy clean and the white floral, and just a small hint of green palm. I think this would be my preferred professional setting scent— not too rigid or serious and not too delicate or free-spirited. Daytime spring fragrance that would also work very well for early summer.

This is going to sound so strange, but if you’ve ever been to Walt Disney World in Florida and have stepped into the lobby of the Grand Floridian hotel, you have smelled that beautiful, wonderful, clean, soapy, floral smell. Well, this perfume is almost an exact dupe of THAT SMELL! That’s the only other scent I would know to compare it to. It’s a light, clean/soapy scent. Not overpowering but it lasts on my skin. It would be perfect for Spring and Summer, although I feel with a “clean” scent like this, you could really truly wear it in any season. I often consider “clean” and soapy scents to be sort of “neutral” and seasonless. Target stores have testers available for all Good Chemistry fragrances so you can spritz while you shop which is awesome!

I tried this today and I liked it quite a bit. It’s a rich, buttery gardenia with just a hint of something more; a little sweet AND a little raspy. I’m thinking that was the Palm. I did not notice any ozonic notes, but I’m used to a more traditional approach. It is very possible that they were just subtly used. All in all, great gardenia scent that kept me sniffing my wrist.

I have this in body spray format, or I did before I gave it away. Doesn’t smell anything like gardenia. Smells like laundry detergent. Very intense staying power. When I sprayed this into its own plastic cap, it had a tea tree note, but that’s completely nonexistent on skin and clothes. A very fresh clean scent.

A gardenia scent that isn't just a pile of tuberose. Lots of aquatic/green notes in here to keep the gardenia fresh and not cloying. It doesn't fall into the sunscreen gardenia trap either. It's a nice new take on gardenia, really.
