Queen Bee

I thought I would love this because I love peony as a note more than anything and I like amber too. But with this I'm It not sold. It vaguely reminds me of viva la juicy which I don't care for its synthetic berry notes. Over all as the inital spray mellows and more of the Amber comes out I like it a little bit. While this rides the line between a body spray and a perfume for me, as the initial synthetic berry notes fade and the amber comes out more it leans more sophisticated smelling than it started. It has an interesting green note that comes out as well. It has a brightness as well that I like. Overall its just a like for me but I could see how some women would love this. Edit: Alright its 3 years later and I have fully come around on this one. So rare to find an amber based aquatic scent. Its fun, its sexy and I kept trying it and just got addicted. Also you will get compliments with this. Something I've noticed as someone who owns more than a 100 perfumes is that after gourmands, people will compliment you the most on aquatic fragrances I swear. And that if you keep giving perfumes a chance you can fully change your mind in a different mood and suddenly its magic. Definitely try a perfume at least 3 different times before you judge it. Most my favorites like Lovely and Myth and this one, I only just liked at first then fell in love with. Also besides the notes listed, to my nose Id like to add Honey, lotus, cassius, bellini, peach and belladonna. If they added a patchouli note this could be a $150 designer perfume

Decided to buy this after hearing so many good things, and I am so happy I did. Queen Bee is such a beautiful sweet floral, with an amber citrus base. It feels like the perfect signature scent, and I feel like I will be wearing it quite frequently. The moment I sprayed it on my arm, it became an instant love. I've noticed a few reviews comparing Queen Bee to Elizabeth Arden's Sunflowers, and I have to say - I can understand why. In saying that, I actually don't feel they are similar in scent. For me, they both evoke the feeling of joy - both are just sunshine in a bottle honestly. I can't wait to layer this with the EOS Whipped Shea and Sugar lotion!

I’ve been looking for a good paraben-free spring/summer fragrance. I wasn’t sure I’d find one being as picky as I am, but Queen Bee made the cut. When I first sprayed this one, it was like a blast of Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. I suddenly had Jr High flashbacks. Then the black currant crept in, which was weird for a second, but it went right back to a modern version of Sunflowers. I’m looking forward to seeing how this responds to warmer temperatures this summer....hopefully the silliage will be better for me. I will report back. Long live the Queen...for now. ;)

I really have grown to enjoy this scent quite a bit. It’s clean and floral on the dry down and becomes quite soft, but on the initial spray, it’s sour and sweet. Definitely where that black current comes through. I was first introduced to the scent through a good chemistry sample set, and i really didn’t think i’d enjoy it out of the mix, but overall i think it’s become my favorite. I’m generally someone that loves a soft sweet fruity gourmand, so the fact I liked this says a lot. I’m definitely excited to try more from this brand :)

This fragrance is like being infatuated and experiencing exhilarating young love. Playfully sexy and full of youthful vitality, This is a fragrance I reach for often. I can never go wrong with this one, it wears so well and I never find myself feeling sick of it or just not in the mood to be smelling it anymore despite how long it wears. I believe it is true to the notes listed; the sour berry scent stands out the most and warms the back of the throat. Such a stand-out fragrance especially for the value.

Quite a charming scent! I would say it's probably my favorite from the Good Chemistry line. Smells more expensive than it is in my opinion, and is very well blended. The overall tone of this perfume is flirty and sweet. The lasting power is pretty decent too, about 5 hours just from a rollerball application. For the price I would say give it a try, it might surprise you. :)

based on the notes alone, this is not something i would usually go for as a skin scent/musky/gourmand lover. but i picked a travel size up at target on a whim and ended up lovinggg it. the name holds true— it feels like something a “popular girl” would wear— like an elevated, grown up version of a bath and body works fragrance i would’ve worn as a girl in the 2010s

These fragrance is so great, not just for the price but in general. I had someone at work say they smell my different perfumes but this is the one that they love every time. It’s fresh but sexy. I love this! The sillage is apparently pretty great because by coworker smells it walking by in a large hallway. I smell it on my clothes at the end of the day.

This perfume is beautiful and so juicy and fresh. It’s just the right amount of sweetness combined with freshness. The lasting power is phenomenal, especially on clothes. I can still smell it on my shirt the next day. I’m very impressed by this line of natural perfume, and I also have Daydream which is nice, but Queen Bee is my favorite.

This was my middle school scent for sure, and its always such a good uppity nostalgic fragrance to me. This goes bad quick if you don’t store it properly though. I need to get another bottle of this, its about that time to start wearing this fragrance again as spring is not too far from arriving soon

An absolute perfect dupe for Coach Floral, and even a little bit more fruity. If you wear this with CLEAN's Flower Fresh, it's the exact dupe. I really like this more though. The sour pear with rose is so refreshing and summery. It's not heavy at all. Plus it's economic.

This is a beautiful fragrance! Perfect blend of fruity and floral with just a touch of warmth from the amber. I found it at Target for a very decent price and I'm very pleased. I could see it being great for year round too! Just a very pretty perfume.

on my skin this smells exactly like v&r’s flowerbomb perfume. it lasts for so long and truly projects. i wore this to my 12 hour shift and was getting compliments throughout the entire day.

By far, my most complimented perfume. And maybe the cheapest. Honestly, love this one, it’s so fresh and feminine.

I love the Good Chemistry line and I'm glad I decided to try these fragrances after my friend told me about them. I can see why Queen Bee is popular. I like it but love Bluebell more. This is floral and has something juicy/sweet going on as well, but it's not cloying. You want to use a light hand with QB because it doesn't dry down as quickly as some of the others in the line. I don't quite get the amber with QB, but the blackcurrant and peony are dominant, especially when it opens. The dry-down is lovely, I could still smell the fragrance ever so lightly at the end of the day. I have to agree that there's something very EA Sunflowers about this scent. That explains why on first spray it smelled so familiar. I'll need to use QB a little more to see whether it would be a repurchase for me-- at this point, I'm leaning towards a no, but I may change my mind. I do think it's a safe blind buy. I love that this line is cruelty-free and doesn't contain the nasty, harmful chemicals that most all other perfumes have. I'm surprised it's listed as a Vegan perfume, though. Denatured alcohol is the very first ingredient, which means there's a lot of it in the fragrance. There are a lot of concerns about what "Alcohol Denat." does to the skin and internally as well. I hope that moving forward, GC will consider using alternatives that will lead to a truly natural/organic fragrance line.

Extroverted pleasure. It has fruit, floral and Amber notes but it’s not floral or fruity... its notes blend together to make an undefinable aroma with no powdery accord. A simply superb blend combined with its low cost accessibility at Target make this a unicorn I hope never vanishes. It’s strong feminine.. not girly feminine but still feminine. A cool boss that jokes with her subordinates but nobody forgets she’s the boss, then goes home to be the cool mom. I wish it performed to match the wonderfully rich yet flirty aroma. It smells modern and like no other fragrance I’ve had, which is why it’s still my favorite. This was my daily driver 3 years ago and finished the vial in 6 months. I recommend it to those who want to stand out in a very good way.

I find this fragrance really lovely but for whatever reason it makes me nauseous. Someone below mentioned it being an aquatic frag and maybe thats what it is, many fragrances that smell wet and sweet to me tend to turn my stomach. Like Swiss Arabian’s Oud Tonka. And its always so surprising because I’m a sticky sweet gourmand lover. My favorite note is honey, shortly followed by a list of other sugary sweet notes like whipped cream, marshmallow, caramel, spun sugar, cotton candy, praline etc. “Cloying” is usually what I go for: Honey & The Moon, Bianco Latte, Italica, Khamrah, LDBS. I legit fell in love with this in the store, brought it home, and my stomach turned. I still smell it every now and again to see if I can desensitize myself to it lol.

Queen Bee is a fresh floral aquatic scent with a touch of honey. There is a bright citrus note throughout the fragrance that smells like a juicy pear and grapefruit peel, but it's definitely not a gourmand. The scent lasts all day on my skin, but it's not terribly strong. I also love wearing this one to bed after a shower. Some have said it smells like Windex, and I do actually smell where they are coming from, but it's a good clean Windex undertone - not ammonia. I appreciate this scent because it's like a shower-y floral body spray with more pop, and it's widely available at a decent price. I will definitely try some other Good Chemistry scents.

I bought the body spray version of Queen Bee because...well it was on sale at my local drugstore and needed a spray to smell better after going to the gym. I've had more compliments on it than Delina Exclucif. I generally trend and tend to reach for floral, fruity and amber based scents and this one really delivers. It has absolutely wild staying power, especially on clothing and hair. It reminds me so much of the perfume popular girls in high school wore in mid '00's and everyone was obsessed with it. The floral note dies pretty quickly but the juicy berry scent literally lasts multiple days. Definitely a great spring and summer scent!

I bought this blind after reading great reviews online. And boy am I glad I did! QB is fruity, warm and aquatic in the best way. It smells like freshly-baked currant scones, warm and crispy from the oven. And then the aquatic notes wash over you like a Hawaiian wave. It settles into your skin and evokes honey and amber. Saccharine warmth oozes out in the dry down. This is a great cheapie that plays well with others — so far I’ve layered Choco Musk on top & want to try it with MJ Honey next! 🐝

This is such a sweet, likable scent. But I have to say that I don’t enjoy it on the skin all that much; it becomes just a bit too ripe and juicy. I often spray this fragrance on my clothes only, and usually when I’m running errands in the heat, working out, or just putzing around the house. I also love to spray linens and clothes hanging in the closet with this scent! Really can’t go wrong with this wonderful cheapie!

Sweet, floral, fresh. I’m not a huge fan of the fresh scent profile, but this one is slightly fruity, which keeps it from veering into laundry soap territory. Layered with ouai’s Melrose place body cream, this is perfect for spring. If you need a boost of freshness, queen bee is your girl. And for what, $12 for the spray? What’s not to like.

Has a honey-esque scent. Not very overpowering. Light enough for everyday wear, but doesn’t last long. I’m usually a fan of green and/or aquatic notes, so this is the rare warm, sweet scent that doesn’t irritate me. Great for Summer. I definitely love that it’s so affordable.

I love this perfume, it's fresh, floral, fruity, it smells sweet without being overbearing. It does smell kind of "boozy," I'm not sure that's the right word, but it kind of reminds me of being 22, in college, drinking a fun little cocktail

A no-nosense ....simple...but "smells great" fragrance. I also get a "honey vibe" from this. Great dumb-reach scent. Hard not to like this Inoffensive....all-around scent. Low to medium sillage/projection. A big like !!

smells soooo good, like a very sweet honey vibe. very easy go-to for when i don’t know what to wear. lasts a long time, has pretty good projection, easy to like and gets a good amount of compliments

I was given a sample of this today. It actually smells good. I can detect some honey in it, but it's not in the notes at all.

Smells good OOB, but I could do without the patchouli and amber.

A really good perfume for the price!

i had never tried good chemistry before, so i thought i'd give it a shot!!! this is definitely a bright, spring/summer fragrance. maybe a little too bright for me 🫨🫨 i get the blackcurrant in the initial spray and before it dries down completely, but after that all i get is the peony. i'm not super into florals, but when i sampled this in-store i thought it was nice! i also thought the title was really cute. unfortunately it turns way too floral for me later on in the dry down. not quite headache inducing, but it's almost there. it might be good to layer with something darker, but it's not really for me. i also bought unknown legend from good chemistry, and i definitely prefer that one.

Upon first spray, it reminds me of something I would have worn as a teen. It was a bit screechy & citrusy. There is pear in this fragrance, although not listed here - it is confirmed by the brand. As it dries down it develops some warmth and becomes more tolerable. Casual wear.. around the house for me. For the price, this is better than I expected. It doesn't disappear on skin and the sillage is moderate. Longevity wise, I get a little more than 4 hours. They also recently updated the packaging for this product and started offering travel sprays. I probably won't buy it again, but it's not a scrubber.

This scent is a perfect example of "growing out" of a perfume. I picked this up when it was first released in 2018, long before Target started carrying the brand. I loved it, and wore it all the time. Now, however, while I don't find it unpleasant, and I'll use the rest of the bottle that I have, I find it pretty screechy. Maybe the formula is different, but I think my tastes are just different. Perhaps it's the peony that I find off, but it could be the black current. Both are scents I still love, but it just comes off as too sharp now.

I bought this perfume blind which is something I dont typically do but it's actually a pretty nice scent. The only note I really notice on this scent is the honey smell which I guess makes sense since it's called Queen Bee. Definitely not my favorite smell but it is pleasant enough to wear. This is a pretty safe blind buy and it's perfect for spring and summer with a hint of warmth with that honey and amber

This is a very linear, deep berry scent--a sugary, syrupy black currant. On the dry-down, it has a vague hint of something plant-like, but I wouldn't really call this a floral scent. It's a fruity perfume through-and-through, so tooth-achingly sweet it's a bit overwhelming. A few minutes in and I already have a headache. By the end of the day, I'm four pills deep in the Tylenol bottle.

i would've loved this as a teenager

First off, hate the name Queen Bee. I dislike it so much i didn't even want to find out what it smelled like. I finally decided to give it a try after reading some of the notes. In the store, the perfume bottle smelled nice. But they only had it available in the body spray. Once I was home and sprayed it, I had instant regret. It has a very sweet, juicy, berry type of scent, that smells very juvenile. And most of all, it smells cheap. I can barely make out the amber, the fruity note overpowers everything else. In general I don't care for fruity scents and the black current is just too much for me. Like others have mentioned, it does remind me of VS Warm & Cozy but they are not quite the same. They both have that very sweet fruity scent but VS warm & cozy has a nicer fragrance overall, and surprisingly smells a bit more mature than queen bee. I'm not the biggest fan of VS WC but compared to GC QB I think it has a better scent profile and the longevity is better. Queen bee starts off pretty sweet and fruity, it dries down to a much softer finish and then poof, it disappears entirely. Total waste.

the top notes smell nice, like an aromatic musky citrus. but then it becomes this sickly sweet honey which is too sweet for me. it doesn't smell bad but definitely doesn't suit my personality. not getting any peony.

This is a delicious light & fresh floral scent with some sweetness & fruitiness. For some reason I get some fresh citrus from this in the opening although it is not a listed note. It smells youthful yet not overly juvenile like VS fragrances. The dry down sweetens up the longer you wear this and more of the fruitiness comes out. It's a relatively simple scent that's perfect for warmer weather. Plus it's affordable! It's inoffensive and I think most people will find this to be very pleasant. You can test this at target but if you can't I would say this is a safe blind buy if you like simple, slightly sweet & fruity florals. This is like a step up from Victoria secret & BBW mists. I can imagine this being a nice daily casual or post shower refresher scent but probably not for evenings, nights out, or special events. EDIT: I can still smell this on my clothes a few days later and while the florals are gone, there is still the fruity sweetness that lingers. 😍

I had to sample this one as I heard so many people talk about how much they love it. It's a pretty floral fragrance. It definitely does not remind me of Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers. I immediately thought of Estee Lauder Pleasures though. To me it's a dead ringer for Pleasures but does not have any longevity. I couldn't smell it at all after two hours and fragrances usually last on my skin. Not bad for a fresh light floral or someone who doesn't like heavier scents. Smells lovely but it's a hard pass for me.

Surprisingly green and a bit watery! Don't get me wrong, the fruity florals take center stage, but when I first smelled I could've sworn there was some mixture of grass, honeysuckle, and pear in this. The dry down is a pretty, warm floral with a jammy aspect from the blackcurrant; it's not sharp like some blackcurrant notes. Simple, but nice. Great for the price.

I got a sample of this in Target's Beauty Box. As soon as I smelled it I knew exactly what it smells like - Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers, like a flashback to the 90's. I actually wore Sunflowers but back in my middle school/jr high days so I would def not consider purchasing this now as there are so many more sophisticated fragrances to choose from.

Queen Bee is the Good Chemistry line's take on the modern fruity floral. A very juicy currant accord reads almost honeyed by the amber notes. This does remind me of Coach or something along those lines. I'd think that a little bitty spray should go a long way with this one.

Delectable to my nose, something about this fragrance makes me salivate like I just took a bite of fresh lemon, I get a lot of citrus but also a lot of sweet here as well, but oh! can I smell that rose behind it all! I understand why this fragrance is so popular.

This is one of the better "cheapie" fragrances I own and added bonus on being vegan. It took me some time to get used to it but now I love wearing it around the house. A nice honey vibe...it's not Miele by Kyse but probably my second favorite honey perfume.

This is not one of my favorite from Good Chemistry, but that's because it reminds me of my Coach perfume that I dislike...it smells like sweet + floral. Seems to have great reviews online, or for anyone who likes a trendy floral scent, but it's not for me.

This scent (especially in the body mist) is a gem. This is the prettiest and most feminine clean/sweet/fresh scent I've been looking for forever! It's super long lasting while staying light enough to embody that fresh vibe. New go to!

This is nice but the fruity note is tart and strong on me. On my mom it smells more ambery and warm, so I guess it can depend on your body chemistry. This is another scent that I outgrew. Mid.

This is so beautiful on other people, smelled kinda like sour windex on me... I don’t have good chemistry with Good Chemistry unfortunately 😔
