Rustic Woods

I absolutely love this fragrance, especially in fall and winter. I wear it around the house and to bed, but that's completely fine because of what a great deal it is. I spritz some on my sheets a couple times a week too and my husband likes when I do because he says it's a cozy scent but very clean smelling too. Imo it's at it's best in the body mist form, I get out of the shower and lotion up with a non perfumed body cream then spritz it all over then hop into some snuggly jammies. The body mist has essential oils in it too so for me that's another plus because I have eczema and this is something that doesn't irritate my skin so when I find something that I can spray on myself in my bday suit and I love the scent it's something that I will keep in my rotation on the regular, then add that it is an amazing price and it's something that I will own and use always. P. S. I never wear it outside but I believe it would perform decent in warmer weather as well. 🌲🍂🪵 P. S.S. I forgot to mention that I am aware this is discontinued but I was able to find four of the body mists at my local Burlington for $2.99 a piece and I bought all four of them of course. I still have a bit left in my rollerball but I can't say how happy I was to find four at Burlington they could have been 19.99 and I still would have bought the last four LOL Just a fragrance PSA for people who like this you might have a good chance of finding some at Burlington's out in the Chicago suburbs fyi. ❤️✌️

I bought this in the little roll on bottle at Target several months ago. It just grabbed me for some reason but then I got home with it and didn't wear it much. It smelled a little sharp to me but still, there was something in it I couldn't let go of. It reminded me of something...couldn't put my finger on though. Maybe like Cacharel Noa? More soap than woods to me. So then the other day, about two or three weeks ago it was warm and I just wanted to smell fresh and clean all day so I reached for the Rustic Woods bottle. It elicited a BIG hug and a "you smell GOOD!" from DH. Interesting! I don't wear perfume for anyone but myself but it's always nice when you get a compliment. Rustic Woods is a soapy fragrance to my nose. It's clean and has a soft wood note to it but it doesn't dominate the fragrance by any means. My late father had an unused soap on a rope in a box that was covered in a wood-grain printed paper when I was a kid and it smelled like this. I think it was Avon or something. I'm going to be wearing the Rustic Woods more often as it dries down and mellows to a really nice scent. Edit: This bears some similarity to Bvlgari au the Rouge, but in the dry down phase. Rustic Woods starts off sharper than BatR does.

This must have been discontinued. I picked up a bottle of the spray for just under $8 at Target. This and Glacier were on clearance. I like this one and I think it's a nice scent even in warmer weather. I got the last bottle that was sitting on the shelf. It's just a really nice fragrance and I think I'll be glad I have it. Edit: Comparing this to a sample of Philosykos, it has some of the underlying woody atmosphere but without the sweetness. They give me a similar "feel" to wear, a kind of airiness.

I'm sad to see this one discontinued. It's such a fresh and clean unisex scent thanks to the bergamot. The leather dominates for me, but it is a "brown" leather, very soft and lived in - almost crumbled or powdery. If you dislike leather notes that smell like a fresh black handbag, this one may suit you. The woods are soft as well, not coniferous and the sillage is quite good. It lacks in longevity, but it's so cheap it doesn't matter. It reminds me of dry mountain air in the American west.

I got the rollerball of this fragrance at Target years ago, and it's still one of my absolute favorites. Fresh citrus, warm leather, like looking out the open window of a cozy cabin into an alpine forest. Feels really unisex. It's one of those fragrances that smells like what it says it smells like without smelling "like a perfume," you know? It seems like the bottle is discontinued, but I was happy to find that the travel-sized rollerball is still available online.

On me the woods notes came out really prominent, and a bit sweet, in a way that reminded me of a pared-down version of Hermes Santal Massoia. I can definitely pick up the leather, but it's a gentle, very androgynous scent that I'm as comfortable wearing as I am smelling it on a man.

It's simpe but okay, though as someone else said, projection is lacking, so I don't see any point to it. I tried a couple of others and the projection was much better.

Had the opportunity to sample it at target even though it sits in the female section of the cosmetics. I like it, it's an overall minimalist composition that isn't overwhelmingly feminine. It isn't uber masculine, but that's part of the appeal. I would love this on a woman. Scent: just like the listed notes, citrus, woods, and leather. I didn't get handbag leather but more like a piece of leather had been laying out in a coniferous forest. Performance: decent esp for its price. I got about 4 hours out of it and it survived a light hand wash. It has somewhat soft projections, but it was a bit noticeable. Season: works in all of them really with the exception of a blistering summer day. 3/5

I can smell all three notes listed - bergamot, leather and wood. But it’s a very pale, slightly chemically, almost aldehydic scent - like an older style Chanel, but not as rich and complicated. It reminds me slightly of Bijan Nude for women, the woody note is similar to my nose but not as interesting or as well done. I feel like this needs a richer natural chemistry - my skin is dry right now and I feel like dry on dry leaves it too one dimensional. I’ve not shopped at Target in a while and they have what looks like a fun line of fragrances; this was one. Fun to try, I won’t be buying this but will be back to try more!

Rustic Woods is more of a soft, leather scent than a woodsy one. Comforting and sits close to the skin, completely unisex. The drydown is very nice, a little bit sweet and has that timeless quality.

The dark green packaging and the name Rustic Woods had me expecting pine but no, instead I got LEATHER. Straight up soft handbag leather start to finish. Unexpected but I do like it!
