Vanilla Orchid

A beautiful fragrance, almost smells a bit fruity to me. Kinda like passion fruit and vanilla. It isn’t just a warm, fresh, overall fruity or even just floral scent, it’s like an in between sweet/fruity/floral with a hint of freshness but it’s mixed so well. I love this for the spring and summer since it isn’t overbearing whatsoever. It doesn’t project a whole bunch but it’s not a skin scent either.

I love this scent! Very strong vanilla with a yummy touch of floral. My biggest complaint with this perfume is its brevity, which isn’t too surprising given its price point. This is one I like to spray on before bed to feel cozy and pretty.

This is a good inexpensive option, smells divine and you can wear it without offending no one... just an innocent and daily pleasure.

Oh, how I have grown to LOVE the Good Chemistry line! Affordable, diverse, and lovely scents. I have 9 so far and love some, like others, and have teetered on "dislike" for one or two. I pretty much purchased all the scents as blind-buys, and the Vanilla Orchid fragrance makes me wish I'd tested it first. I would not have bought it. I plan to give it a few more tries before passing it on to my sister. I'm fairly certain this scent is right up her alley based on the notes. I agree with Carnelian. This perfume does not have the correct name. I have perfumes that are just vanilla and others that include the vanilla note, whether dominant or subtle. So I know how it smells on its own (can be cloying and sickening, or nuanced and lovely), and how it smells in fragrances with other notes (creamy, delicious, balanced, and tastefully sweet, etc). I don't smell the Vanilla in Good Chemistry's Vanilla Orchid *at all*. Also, I have two/three perfumes with orchid in them. I don't smell the orchid in this fragrance either. This fragrance is spicy and goes on sharp. It smells better on the dry-down, but even then, not sure I want it on my skin. It may perform better on clothing, I'll have to see. Bottom line: this is one fragrance you do not want to blind-buy. Go test it and if you can't find it in stock, maybe try the roller ball first. You don't want to buy a 1.7 oz EDP or 8 oz mist and find out you don't like it. Edit (March 14, 2019) I knew I needed to give this time because I changed my mind. I've actually grown to really like this fragrance and even spritz it before bed. It won't be a repurchase for me but I've been reaching for it often.

This is a sweet sultry perfume with relatively low projectivity, but not quite a skin scent, the scent is strong for the amount I applied. I think the orange blossom was the most noticeable part of the perfume, I didn’t really smell tonka in this. I wouldn’t repurchase but will probably use what I have of it. Even though orange blossom is a crowd pleaser I can’t recommend this as a blind buy but I do believe target sells this brand if you are looking to sample it in store. I recommend checking the target app or website to see if they carry it in store

This isn't named well, unlike the others in the line (Violet, etc.) It doesn't suggest vanilla or orchid to me. The orange blossom gets center stage, and vanilla is in the background. It's pretty, but if you bought online hoping for a sweet or stronger vanilla, it would be disappointing.

I had to snatch up this new fragrance line when it popped in target!! So the vanilla is very subtle in this scent and it's more green notes especially when it's more warm outside. This is such a cute scent.

I think this would be my 3rd favorite from the new Good Chemistry perfumes available at Target. Vanilla Orchid is just that...you get a scent of vanilla, a scent of some floral notes...I think I also smell the tonka that is listed in this after the top notes dry down a bit, as it does have the slightest earthy sharpness about it. Lasting power is 4 hours + for me. This one reminds me of Express #5 perfume which isn't in the database here ...both have a similar non-gourmand vanilla/tonka blend. I think this is a great, warm scent!! 2 thumbs up to Target for offering this line of fragrances!

This one surprised me! Vanilla so often does not sit well with me in perfume, too sweet or heavy. But this was really fresh!! Almost like lilac or heliotrope with a small dash of milky vanilla underpinning it. Two thumbs up, this is very nice and even refreshing.

Smelling it straight out of the bottle, it seems to be an almost exact dupe for Dana Buchman's "Luxury."
