Nothing

It has an apricot note in it. I don't know why that wasn't mentioned. Rose, Jasmine, orange flower, and lily of the valley, according to the Danish description on matas homepage. I definitely noticed that apricot note on my skin when I used this in my teens. Gosh is a Danish brand and is widely sold here in Matas chain shops. I don't know if it's sold outside of Denmark, in brick-mortar shops. Nothing was available already in 89 or 90. I don't know why they think the brand wasn't available pre-2011. Maybe I just misunderstood the fragrantica brand description for Gosh. Gosh includes cosmetics, skin care/shower gel. Update Nov. 1st. 2014. I'm now wearing 'Nothing' for the first time since 1990 or so. It used to be a bit strong and I remember the Peach note being what stood out primarily. That was fine for a teenager. Here a little over an hour, it's the same as when I applied it and I appreciate that because the Peach isn't dominating on my skin. Instead it's as if the notes are simultaneously simmering around in a very refined blend. If it doens't do this on others, then I genuinely feel very sorry for them. Gosh Nothing smells very mature on me now which I don't mind since I'll be 38 at the end of the year. It's a shame that it only comes in 30ml. With the exception of warm Summer months, I could wear this year round and for casual occassions. Heck, I think I've smelt this at formal occassions like Christmas dinners on a few of the 50s-60s y.o. wives of some of my husband's colleagues. At least whatever they wear, this is how they smell and it's so classy yet happy! I'll most certainly repurchase and it's so rediculously cheap. If I tire of it, I'll take a break, but I think I'll always make frequent returns to 'Nothing' from now on.:-) I also think this is classified wrong. It's not a fruity gourmand. I'm still too new to doing more than casually appreciating fragrances, to say what it should be classified as. 2nd update, same day: Fades from the strong soapy, sparkly fruity, between 1st -2nd hour. Nice, warm, sweet,woody drydown. Nothing can be used as the inoffensive day fragrance I was hoping it would be.

Update July 2023: I have to stop re-applying. 1. I'm tired of fruity notes for now. 2. The base is gorgeous on me. I'll have to look for more fragrances with sandalwood and amber (just recently discovered that "amber" note really suits me) and perhaps also musk. But definitely amber and sandalwood. Update: I don't know if I think Absolutely Nothing is lighter than Nothing. It's stronger when sprayed on fragrance but just a light and clean fragrance on my skin. So, Absolutely Nothing is even more everyday friendly than Nothing. Absolutely Nothing also seems more popular, but that might be down to novelty factor. Review of Absolutely Nothing: Gosh describe Absolutely Nothing as green-floral-fruity. Maybe I just associate green too much with grass, but it's a softer floral fruity - more floral than fruity on me, than Nothing. The liquid is clear unlike Nothing which is peachy-orange. Basic clear square bottle. I'd say it's an everyday scent. One reviewer of 3 on matas complained that it's too soapy. I'll update this review when I've had time to test it some more. 50ml of either Gosh Absolutely Nothing or Gosh Nothing (newer packaging than the bottles shown on fragrantica) cost DK kroner 200,- at normal price. I bought both bottles for 160 each. So very cheap. Home delivery from Matas. That's the only place I know I can buy Gosh from. Update: The new EDT is a much lighter version than the original Nothing. Very user friendly. I can understand why it's so popular with ordinary, mature women like myself here in Denmark. Cheap too. It's so light that my nose becomes desensitized to it within minutes, but others can smell it lightly on me. The new Edit Gosh Nothing: A lighter Summer version according to a woman who's a decade younger than me, but apparently have tried the original, who reviewed Gosh Nothing Edt on the online shop of Matas here in Denmark. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to update this review when I do. Gosh Nothing Edt only comes in 50ml but it's VERY affordable; DK kroner: 200,-/50ml. Matas doesn't list the notes. I like the modern bottle better aesthetically, but it'll probably take up more space in my cabinet and I don't know if it's as handy as the old bottle. Jup, I had it. It was a pressie and I gave it away later on, and I regret giving it away.. :(
