Chat Perché

OMG! I freaking LOVE this perfume! I got a sample of it for free. Chat Perche wasn't even on my radar to sample, and I am so glad I got this freebie to try. This is spring perfection in a bottle. I agree w/ the review below this does smell like blooming black locust. We have locust trees in our area, they are beautiful but haunting w/ their sharp and nasty thorns. Every time I come upon them in our local park I always think of the Passion, and I stop and contemplate. When they bloom in the spring the smell is heavenly. I find flowering trees of springtime to have a very floral yet musky quality to my nose. I call it the musk of springtime. This perfume captures that smell in a bottle. I can't stop smelling this perfume it is so beautiful. Womanly and girly at the same time. I can picture a young woman wearing this while walking along a path filled w/ blooming trees of spring. The pure white petals gleam in the warm spring sun and that sight and all the beauty of being surrounded by nature brings a happy smile to her face. It puts me in a completely joyful state of mind. It reminds me of my Linden Blossom perfume (not in data base here) from Provence Sante called Linden but it isn't a dupe. This is springtime flowering trees and the joy and happiness of spring in a bottle. Just stunning. I need this and will be buying a bottle ASAP. Well done Goutal Paris!

I agree with reviewers who say this smells like Locust blossoms. It smells like Locust blossoms to me too. At my last home, there was a forest off my property, and a stand of old, ancient looking Locust trees. In the winter, with their black scaly trunks and gnarly, twisted branches covered with ferocious looking thorns, these malevolent looking trees could have been used for a scene in a horror movie. But come spring they transform and burst into life with white racemes of the most intoxicating scent that filled my garden with their fragrance. That is what I strongly smell in this perfume, ushered in by a light, sweetly fragrant lemon blossom. That's sort of crazy because Locust is not listed in the notes, but sweet peas are. I don't know about that, but then again, not all sweet peas varieties smell alike. I know, because I used to grow many varieties of them, and there was a lot of variation in the scent. Some seed catalogues will even describe each particular variety's fragrance. Maybe there is a variety that smells like locust blooms which could account for that, otherwise comparing this fragrance to the note profile just doesn't make sense. Regardless of how that note was achieved though, I am so happy to finally find a fragrance that brings me back to smelling the beautiful blooms of the Locust trees once more.

I never formally reviewed this. I first purchased it during the colder weather after I received a decant from a friend. When the bottle arrived, I sprayed some on, still loving the scent, but terribly disappointed by the longevity. Being a Goutal, I wasn't all that surprised. Well now that springtime is here, I decided to wear it yesterday. Thinking it would be weak, I sprayed rather generously. I could not believe how much greater the longevity was! It lasted all day, though I did top it off once even though I could smell it. Then something happened that seldom, if ever, happens to me. I was able to clearly smell it when I woke up this morning! On top of all that, it's just simply a beautiful warm weather floral fragrance. I wasn't familiar with the smell of lemon blossom, and it really blew me away with how fragrant and delightful it is! I appreciate it much more than orange blossom, which sounds somewhat sacrilegious coming from a white floral lover, but it is so much lighter, and dare I say prettier - at least on me - than orange blossom, which can get a bit funky on my skin. This will be part of my rotation this spring and summer. I still can't believe the difference between now and when I first received it.

LOVE THISS!!! It's beautiful, green floral. Almost an orange neroli type but not quite. It's different than the usual neroli petitgrain, it is hard for me to describe. It reminds me of many neroli orange scents ,this has some strong floral added so it's unique to my nose. I like the name, although doesn't really correspond to cats in any way but it's what grabbed my attention and made me want to try this scent and I'm really glad I did. Imy favorite goutal is this

I love this so much! I first tried it in winter and liked it enough to buy some because I didn't already have a perfume with nasturtium in it, and that's a favorite flavor from my childhood (the flowers are edible) and it's a flower I have not been able to grow or obtain in my local area. I've been wearing Chat Perche this spring and loving it more and more. It's now very warm weather though not full summer heat yet and I just really really love this perfume!

The sample card has pretty flowers inside. Where is the cat? Am I the cat? I'm the cat, because I'm wearing the perfume. cloth test: lovely florals. The cat is perching in the flower garden. skin test: still lovely florals but not as strongly. The cat is curled up for a nap. I will have to put on more sprays than usual and also try it again in warmer weather. I like it.

I was on a hunt for a realistic lemon blossom perfume and Chat Perche is really close to it! Especially in the top. If anyone is love with that note they should def try this one since most of the time perfumes that has lemon blossom note ends up smelling like lemon fruit instead of an actual flower.

The rating said it all. This seems to be appealing more to older women. I used to be okay with Anna Sui -like very strong sweet juicy floral scent, but as i'm getting older myself, I tend to lean towards fresh-citrusy-softer scent, even the unisex one, preferrably one that gives out unique vibe. This is the latest of my long journey of "going softer" which does exactly that. Just complimented mine with the newly released body milk as well, it will be my signature scent till I find next one.

oh man, this one is beautiful at first spray. a light musky lemon blossom. i am finding i really love goutal's light spring floral scents (of the few i've tried) and this one is no exception. it's bright, soft and uplifting. a sweet fragrance in terms of emotions, not smells! i worked for a bit at a caswell massey store in 1999 or 2000 and we carried some children's lines, and this reminds me of them. this is comforting and uplifting-a wonderful combination.

This just smells like an American department store. Inoffensive, safe, dull. I had hoped for a realistic floral fragrance but the floral notes are all stunk up with unnecessary musk.

Just bad, like very old powder laundry detergent

Annick Goutal is a brand I have a ton of respect for. Whilst I don't love every fragrance that is released from this house, I see merit in each and every one. Those few that I have enjoyed over the years have been bought promptly and without so much as a glance at the price tag. I'm on the fence in regards to fragrances for young children. They are born with such soft, unblemished skin that it almost seems strange to want to apply alcohol-rich perfumes or preservative driven chemicals to their delicate bodies. Chat Perché is marketed however as a fragrance for anyone between 3 - 99 years of age, so it doesn't necessarily have to be worn as a children's fragrance. As would be expected, Chat Perché is a soft, delicate fragrance with a clean musk focus. The heart is comprised of softly sweetened lemon blossom, sweet pea and nasturcia. Chat Perché isn't a very long-lasting fragrance, nor does it have a lot of throw. It would be a great fragrance for someone that has an allergy or a tendency to get migraines when wearing perfume. In being a fragrance suitable to be worn by a toddler, I would assume that its ingredients are non-allergenic, even possibly organic. My favourite Annick Goutal fragrances are those with rather strong projection and bold floral accords, so it's of no surprise that Chat Perché isn't one that I will be adding to my collection. I do appreciate it, however, for being soft and unobtrusive, which is something I find the current fragrance market to be severely lacking in.

This has been on my wishlist for years and I finally made a purchase last weekend. I am absolutely in love with this one. It is a perfume for children but it smells exactly like acacia flower on my skin. It's one of those perfume that smells completely different on everyone. my friend tried it and it smelled like grapes on her and it smells like honey on my mom's skin. It's not overpowering and I'd say that it's suitable for every situation. I don't know how to describe it but it sort of blends really into your skin and create this magnetic scent. It's one of those perfume that makes people lean in out of curiosity. The only downside is that it has very weak longevity. Still, I can confidently say that this is my favorite signature perfume.

This is straight up neroli and orange blossom to me as it opens ... I cannot pick up on any other notes in the beginning ... but the white musk eventually over powers everything and kind of makes it intolerable to my nose. Initial impression when I spray this is grass, but gentle smelling, along with floral notes. The dry down reminds me of a very soft Eau Des Sens from Diptyque. All in all it's a scent that evokes a care free feeling running in a grassy floral field in the early morning sun.

Gawd what a beauty! Can't stop smelling myself. Unusual, someone below said this a a "darling" scent, and I agree. Update 5/8/2023. Same experience as Churini above. Sprayed before bed, and this morning it is very evident on my skin and PJs. Definitely a warm weather scent.
