Rose Pompon Eau de Parfum 2020

Raspberry-Jam Sweet Treats Diffused by Rose... Think jambusters, raspberry compote & empire cookies filled with raspberry jam and glazed with confectioner's sugar icing. This reminds me of the Raspberry Smacks my Nana made when I was a kid, which is a dessert made with a sweet shortbread crust, homemade raspberry jam (which was a freezer jam halfway to compote) for filling, and brown sugar meringue on top. This is a gorgeous tart & jammy raspberry-rose layered over a petrichor rose, with a vanilla that leans to toffee and a faint incense note (not listed) in the base. Tartness catalyzes the jamminess of the rose & raspberry, while violet is there in the background, but it's overpowered by the jammy raspberry-rose until a few hours into the wear. While this isn't a dupe of anything, there are distant similarities to Delina Parfums de Marly with a tart & fruity rose over a petrichor rose, but this is jammier, sweeter & less tropical, and probably falls closer to Delina Exclusif of the two. It actually reminds me most of Lovely Garden Mancera with it's tart & jammy sweetness, although this doesn't have the tuberose. Performance is excellent, and although I just have a tester, this is FB worthy for those in the market for a tart, sweet & jammy rose. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

This is my new favourite perfume! Im not normally a big fan of rose scents but this rose pompon in EDP is a dream (i also can standvelvet rose from jomalone). Its not overly floral but more sweet like the nector from the most beautiful rose. Also im sure there is grapefruit essence which gives a fresh feel too and ties all of the notes together nicely. Definitely recommend this over the EDT

Rose Pompon Eau de Parfum 2020 () I find Rose Pompon (EDP) is well deliver across its life. Rose Pompon in EDP is slight Rose with Fruity under with cohesive stage of transition. When spray, you are greeting with powdery Rose, Lychee-like fruit undertone. Not so-long after, I smell potpourri undertone slightly but it come for a little while in opening and will reduce significantly in later stage. It is fairy pungent and give out strong projection for about 1 hours before transitioning into Middle note which reminds Sweet rose with fruity aspect reduces significantly but linger. This stage is pleasant across the board without anything extra to mention to mention. The powdery tone also tamer, but it is still fairy Rose with Powdery and subtle Fruity undertone. When it move to the last stage which take around 3 hours, it is reminds me of Rose scent Shampoo which I still find in pleasant as clean ambient also reminds me of petite cherie with more Rose/Powdery undertone when it is dry down. I personally classified as Vintage rose; not in the essence that is this smell bad. But strong powdery aspect, beautiful potpourri like are just reminds me something from older year. When I get a whip from cloth; scent reminds me of fragranced paper I use to write letter to unknown friend from another school in 1996. I finds Rose Pompon really worth the price. And the scent is truly significantly stronger than other offering. If you need something more fresh dew rose; I think the EDT will be better offering (haven't test on that yet). Score 8/10 Projection: Moderate leans strong for 1 hours, become skins cent at 3 hours. Longevity: 6 hours, skinscent reminds me of FdP by Diptyque Classification: Femme (Male 30% / Femme 70%), I find this vintage rose not particularly imply with masculine side or pretty boy genre. but for Fragrance lover; I think this is ok to wear. Edit : Aug 2, 2023 I will pass Rose Pompon (EDP) to my Declutter sales as I don' think this is live up to the point of satisfaction in Rose fragrance genre.

This is a sweetly light, fresh rose that turns into a skin scent after 3hrs. This is the lightest jammy rose scent I have ever smelled. When I say it’s “fresh”, I don’t mean it in an aquatic way. The best I can describe it is as a freshly watered garden rose - you can smell the sweet center of the rose, but the slightest hint of the stem is also there. The dry down is a rosy, sweet vanilla. I’m honestly really enjoying this, it’s very feminine and dainty. It’s a good every day scent, bed time scent, or even office scent. It’s easy to wear, but if you don’t like florals you will not like this one! 7/10

Indulgent rose - Rose De Taif is different. It is like jam. So sweet, almost like syrup in a rose form. This is absolutely gorgeous.

I found this perfume very disappointing, I expected more rose and definitely more projection. On my skin I could hardly detect it after 2 hours (and that’s being generous). Such a shame as I love ❤️ Songes (not the reformulation) it’s one of my faves and that lasts a lot longer.

Awww, I was so excited about this one, but all I get is dried rose petals, bordering on potpourri. Not bad, but I was hoping for a juicy, jammy, yummy rose and this is not it at all.

Starts out with the raspberry, which does not linger. It's followed by roses with violet and something disagreeably harsh of which I cannot discern. The dry down is still rosy but generically sweet, not of vanilla, to my nose. This is one the least favorite rose I've tried to date. I see this is compared to L'extase Rose Absolue, which also has Taif Rose as a shared note. I checked my shelf; I don't find this particular rose variety in any of my other rose fragrances. I have tried Rose Extase which I enjoy. Rose Extase, while having more powder, has some warmth and retains some of the fruit accord. Weird, in my prior review I said Rose Pompon was vanillic in the base, maybe due to a seasonal difference.

Perhaps if Stella (2014) by Stella McCartney had a sister who likes vanilla base notes.

This is probably my most failed blind bought. I sprayed this and it gave me the headache I have never had from perfume before. I was expecting fresh rose bubbling around me but I just got very synthetic floral hitting my nose. The scent was so extremely strong and still stuck on me even after rubbing off with soap. Maybe it’s because I live in a hot country? I envy people who enjoy this as I’m stuck with the full bottle and will probably have to give it away.

I've only tested the edp, from a LS sample. I was hoping for fresher rose/peony, but this is mostly about a very sweet raspberry/vanilla that revolves around a rose accord. I don't get any freshness that others have mentioned. To me it's too sweet and a bit too dense to feel fresh. It's definitely a fleurmand or fruitchouli type of perfume. Ultimately, it's beyond the level of sweetness that I can tolerate in a perfume and just not my thing. I guess what I was hoping for was a slightly brighter version (and perhaps more modern) of Nicolai's Rose Pivoine. I'm hoping to find a sample of the edt to test!

I love rose but normally as a darker note, with incense or patchouli. This - and most things in a pink bottle - would not be something I would tend to reach for. But when I do want to smell of a fresh, dewy rose, it is very hard to find somethint that works, as many are either too screechy, too powdery or just don't smell like rose. Rose Pompon brings an instant smile, with a rush of fruity rose that maintains its quality. The end. Simple but lovely. This joins Rose Flash and La Fille de Berlin as favourite rose soliflores. Rose Pompon is probably the easiest to wear, though.

I underestimated rose pompon. Got given a sample after buying a bottle of Songes, and initially dismissed it out of fear that it would be similar to my nemesis van cleef rose rouge... but samples beg to be sampled, so I tried it and was pleasantly surprised! On me, the raspberry rose combination is sharp and jammy with a slight vanillic resin powder effect in the dry down. Honestly a very pleasurable scent to have wafting into the air around me. Nothing trite or overbearing to be found, it's a nice mood lifter!

The raspberry and rose combination instantly gives off a Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming deja vu. Rose Pompom EDP in its drydown however is more refined and less screechy than MD. The gourmand-ish vanilla basenote peeks through fairly early, in about 1-2 hours. But the raspberry and jammy rose never went away either. Longevity and sillage is satisfactory for an EDP. The Rose Pompom EDP and EDT are pretty different scents so I would recommend testing both.

This is beautiful and very feminine. I will purchase a bottle. I have a few other rose leaning fragrances, this it's like a soft rose and raspberry powder. If you can find it at 75.00, get it. I'd wear this around summer, during the day. I'd even layer it with something like angel nova. This is very pretty.

Trying this again after a few years and I had forgotten what a tangy rose this is. It really is cheerful and soothing and fortunately for me I don’t get any patch or violet. I had forgotten how pleasant this is.

I was disappointed with this, it's just rose and vanilla and a tiny bit of something else that's not discernably raspberry or violet Then I realised it's how I had wanted Rose d'Amalfi to smell

Slight sweet, powdery rose with raspberry violet. The violet overpowers the rose in the drydown. Gives off baby powder vibes.
