Mémories de Montagne

Mémories de Montagne is such a beautifully unique scent. Right from the opening, you're greeted with a soft, comforting aroma that instantly reminds me of the Filipino delicacy Suman (sticky rice). It carries that warm, rice-like sweetness from start to finish — but in a way that’s never cloying or overbearing. It’s more of a cozy hug than a loud statement. The citrus and ginger in the opening keep things fresh and inviting, adding brightness before settling into a smooth, gentle skin scent. My fiancée and I genuinely love this fragrance — it’s become something we both cherish. I truly hope production continues and this doesn’t become one of those hidden gems that disappears! I’d say it’s blind-buy safe for some, but let’s be honest — blind buying is always a gamble in this world. Still, this one might just be worth the risk.

On the opening, it smells like buko pandan and suman, which is a Filipino dish usually eaten as a snack/dessert. For me, it is kinda creamy, lactonic, and a little sweet, but could still be worn in the summer heat. Then, when it dries down, the mango is there, and it smells intimately nice. This can be oversprayed, and you'll smell delicious throughout the day.

It's good. The opening smells like suman, not heavy or overly sweet; I'd say it's gourmand-adjacent. The drydown smells like crisp morning air in the country side. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Longevity: 6.5/10

My favorite GP fragrance. Really does smell like kakanin. Imagine mango sticky rice but remove the sauce and make the mango green. How is it gourmand and fresh at the same time hahaha honestly a fave.

Hmmm smells delicious, I really love it, but it needs more power! More longevity, but for the price and scent it's all worth it! Give it a try!! And smell delicious!

One of the very interesting smelling in the GP Line. With that suman (filipino stick rice) note in the opening brings me back memories! Very nice for daily wear, just right below moderate projection.

I was really excited after buying Eclat Noir and seeing in the previews that Mémoires De Montagne had a green mango note. I'd used up a sample of this Dubai/India-based designer, NXN's Green Mango, and that's probably the nearest I'd go for a citrus-leaning fragrance, since I'm usually much more into gourmands and spicy, woody, boozy notes. I do enjoy Mémoires De Montagne--it's not Green Mango, but it does land in similar territory. I think its main feature is that nutty, powdery rice (the "suman"), which I'm usually not one for, but the tart notes do cut through and freshen the fragrance up so that it's not too creamy or lactonic-leaning. I'd say the composition is pretty unique and "Filipino," given the entire GP line. I think the projection and staying power are fine, maybe just an intimate bubble of scent, and for a nice few hours? Given the fresh, somewhat green scent profile, I wouldn't expect it to stay the whole day, and I usually spray on clothes anyway and I think that would help with performance. Honestly a great addition to our local fragrance milieu.

Never heard of this brand specifically this fragrance until my Dad bought it for me from the Philippines. Smell just like what the label tells you. It's amazing! I don't know how it's possible all I can say is that the perfumer perfected it! Less on the green mango note but it's just suman to the bone. A year rounder is a understatement, I wear this to sleep. Back up bottle worthy!
