Époque Tropical

This is an absolute beauty for those who love smoky, resinous and balsamic scents. The notes used in this composition are mostly sourced from natural ingredients. It opens with citrusy mandarin and nutty cashew with a touch of cardamom. As the opens rapidly fades the flowers stars to shine. Magnolia, Rose and Geranium are well blended and they work very good together, Magnolia being the star of the show to my nose. Then we have tonka bean, guaiac wood and sandalwood and WOW! It couldn't get any better, elegant and almost creamy. The dry down is gorgeous. Classy, close to the skin and with astonishing longevity Epoque Tropical reminds me a lot of Santal 33. A cooler cousin I would say, but here the suede/leather aspect doesn't exist. Not on my skin. This is a signature scent worthy (no doubt 😉) and if you are in Europe, Granado is easily found in Paris. @deepgreenbeauty

I like the santal33 profile, but the leather note of the original stands out too much on my skin, which becomes overly masculine and off putting. I am so happy I found this, because it has the same profile but with a feminine touch (note: I am also not a big rose fan, but this one is very inofensive). Found this on sale in brazil for around 35 euros 75ml love love love!!!!

Very nice! It's what I wished Santal 33 was, while Santal has a Very woody dry down, Epoque is definitely woody but there is a flower accord that balances better. I like Santal 33 however it smells not good after a while. I don't like to get in the lift and people are using S33. This one is smoother and more pleasant.

My big bottle just finished and I’ve already purchased a 25ml of this that comes in a Christmas gift set. Possibly one of the best scents out there. It’s very well blended. A citrusy, fruity (sweet fruity but also tart fruity) woody fragrance.

This is one of the best fragrances for day and night wear. Truly refreshing scent!

I was expecting something a bit more nutty, wooden or grainy given the ingredients, but Epoque Tropical is citrus fruity and floral light. I was intrigued by the cashew, but couldn't really catch the note, juicy mandarin and uplifting magnolia come to the stage as a wonderful duo and the wood plays a background character here. A well made and well blended perfume that performs better than expected.

Smells better on paper than on my skin. Unfortunately on my skin this smells a bit generic. Like any designer fragrance (at 80% of the price though) that contains mandarin and some woody accords ... It's fresh and zesty. Good Summer day fragrance. Long lasting and smells much more expensive than it is. A good frag for 25$.

I swear I smelled this on many girls in RDJ - very fruity scent with a very woody base. Very fresh - the cashew is very unique and it smells sweet yet a bit tart! Very youthful and fun scent

The top notes are intriguing and beautiful - I didn't knew if the cashew note was the fruit or the cashew nut, so I gave it a try: it's the fruit and it's lovely! Unfortunately, five minutes in and it turns into 212 Men on my skin - nothing wrong with it, but it's not the fragrance that I wanted to smell on me. One hour later Époque Tropical turned out very masculine, and all I can smell is 212 Men, plain and simple. For me it's a no. Scrubbing it off and giving it to my husband. I came back to say that even on my husband - I don't wanna smell this. Decluttering it.

Has the DNA of something from Chanel and the longevity. I don’t get a tropical vibe but I do enjoy it and I was curious about the cashew note. It’s like a lemon growing on a tree in the height of summer.

Decent performer. Came as a free 25ml sample with my Tropicalia purchase and now I gotta buy this, there is no choice. Never smelled cashew fruit before so can't verify the note but I like this better than the full bottle of Tropicalia that I purchased. The free 25ml sample alone is a steal. My bottle of Nudiflorum was over $100 for a 30ml bottle. Go figure. Unisex, but can't decide which way it leans, possibly more fem. Longevity is weak sauce. Would buy a bottle if it projected more but this is more of a personal/intimate scent.

Very good and comforting. I am not familiar with the cashew fruit. This is a smooth fruity woody scent. The magnolia and rose are discernible for a little while, the drydown is mostly a slightly sweet sandalwood. Unisex, fresh and very well balanced. Unfortunately, the longevity is lacking on my skin. Maybe 3 hours max.

Mouthwatering! Very fresh, zesty grapefruit with a bit of pink pepper as it opens - that's what I get. Lovely. And then we go into the elegance of rosy flowers and a comfy musky base. Very good fragrance.

Magical scent, with all the notes I love. Not very strong though so can be easily used in the office as well. Is available in Belgium department stores.
