Esplendor

What refinement and care... proving once again that Granado is light-years ahead of much of international perfumery. I recently purchased my bottle, largely influenced by dear Nat, and when it arrived, it was exactly what I had imagined — actually, even better. The opening brings a luminous floral wrapped in a refined vanilla, nothing gourmand or overly sweet. It is an elegant, truly luxurious vanilla. As it develops, warm floral nuances begin to emerge, enriched by resins and benzoin, all accompanied by a woody, slightly powdery, vintage-like base. After a few hours, the fragrance becomes creamier and more vanillic, incredibly comforting. And even though it is a warmer, more intimate fragrance, I can perfectly understand this solar and extroverted concept inspired by the beaches of Rio. It smells like life, happy memories, affection, experiences, and intensity. On my skin, it feels like an extremely unisex fragrance.

This is a great feminine ambery-powdery mix of a dominant vanilla and a hint of a very sweet rose. It’s a “pink scent”, if you’d ever get me, and I love it. Gives off a very rich clean girl vibe, but it’s not very unique. In fact, I think I’ve smelled this before. Not challenging at ALL, crowd pleasing but I don’t think this’ll get you many compliments. The most versatile fragrance I have from granado, but my least favorite. That doesn’t mean I don’t love it. Note: A more accurate version of vanilla, not much the Bare Vanilla vanilla from VS, okay?

I’m sorry what? This absolutely floored me... it’s beautiful. You have to love amber to enjoy this, but wow it’s unbothered and ethereal at the same time. I honestly don’t think I’m cool enough to wear this! This is what I imagine someone with impeccable and effortless taste would wear, probably someone who has been called a muse before and reads the NewYorker and talks about mise en scene in french films. It’s understated, but so well presented. Wow

This for me smells so much like Vanille Antique, by Byredo, with a certain improvement. I always wanted Vanille Antique, but there is this metallic note that put me off a little from spending that much in 50 ml. This metallic zing is not that apparent in Esplendor and the price is great. It scratches my itch, without breaking my bank

Woody, reminds me of an antique store. Vanilla isn't a prominent note but you still can smell it. Very classy, i think it smells like an old rich woman

One of the best indulgent, strong, powdery vanillas I have tried. its like an elixir!!

Vintage ambery-vanilla bean (not sweetened) scent style. Good mixture of powdery vanilla with ambers/benzoins. I don't get strong florals, they are probably just there to round up the edges on the ambers. The base of it smells like blonde tobacco at least to my nose. Its pretty unisex, probably more feminine leaning as it smells very good on my wife. Overall pretty good scent especially for the price you can get it in Brazil, from a very solid house that not a lot of people (at least in the US) know about. Good fall time scent, with solid performance. Edit: yeah up close (on my wife) its smells like ambery vanilla. In the air all I can smell is a light tobacco Cuban cigar. Prehaps the freesia (spicy/powdery) with benzoins give it a light tobacco smell.

A quite pleasing warm-sweet vanilla-amber smell (reminiscent of making caramel or baking a cake), but just not my type of scent. Got it as a tester and will use it until it's finished as everyone around me enjoys it a lot and I like it okay, but I prefer sweet scents to be a bit more interesting. Agree with @filipebarbui that this might be one the most versatile, crowd-pleasing Granado scent. I'm in awe of how they made the lingering base notes smell like coconut without it being in the notes lol

Grandano Esplendor drapes the skin in quiet luxury. It is a cashmere sweater, washed in lilies and creamy vanilla then folded into warm benzoin resin. The sweetness is gentle rather than sugary, and the amber gives it a comforting warmth. It doesn't overly project and lasts 8 hours at least on skin. It feels like velvet brushed in slow motion. To me, this is like a distant relative of Tom Ford Vanille Fatale and PdM Althair, with its own solid personality.

I like the fragrance but it has no longevity. Starts off bold and people will know you are wearing it for the first maybe 5-10 minutes, then after an hour you can barely smell a whisper of it. Really disappointing performance and that’s why I’ve marked it as overpriced.

Really enjoy this - it is very similar to BTSO Dirty Heaven to my nose but somehow a bit more wearable for me. I love DH but as with most BTSO its so intense that I end up not wearing it often. This also leans a bit more vanilla I think.

Warm, vanillin amber w/ an elegant vintage vibe. Florals bloom in dry down, melding smoothly w/ musky cashmeran. Quite a lovely, nostalgic blend.

This perfume is a throwback to me. Not to true vintage perfumery but to a time noughties to tens perhaps? (Okay that’s vintage enough) The opening is a boozed, dirty vanilla blast which moments later descends into exactly what this perfume is throughout a dry, dusty amber with a creamy vanillic rose and cashmeran. Personally I think it’s okay and get something from wearing it but I also understand how this can cloy and it’s quite a one dimensional, aroma chemical amber compared to others I own.

quando senti na loja da granado um tempo atrás amei, mas comprei uma amostra e tive uma experiência péssima. a baunilha é bem presente e agradável, porém não sinto o floral, e sim um atalcado bem forte que me dá dor de cabeça e vontade de espirrar 😵💫

It smells just like Rose Gourmand, from Zara. I mean... It's just a little less feminine but still really similar. If you have the Zara one, you definitely don't need this. It's a lovely fragrance, though. Spicy, vanillay and great for fall.

If you’re looking for a cheaper version, this was like a more gourmand, less incense-y, less smoky version of copal de Terre by le Monde gourmand. Too sweet for me, but I expected that.

a powdery amber-vanilla floral with a soft, warm, slightly tropical glow. Benzoin adds resinous vanilla warmth. Not a bad perfume at all; just not my preference.

I'm mad at myself I paid for this sight unsmelled. So far, it's just another patchouli bomb.

Loved by many, sadly not by me. This opens very promisingly gourmand and rich and it is actually very nice, but then it develops a dirty, musky back note on my skin that pulls it firmly out of “comfort” territory — once that note appears, I can’t un-smell it and it is game over for me. Summary: Definitely skin-chemistry dependent!

I barely feel any flowers here. It hits me like vinegar, can distinct nothing but benzoin, vanilla and amber.

not soft, not smooth, not creamy, headache inducing.

To me, this smells a like a woody, slightly smokey vanilla, that's not overly sweet. Smells like there's tobacco in there. I feel that it leans more masculine for my personal taste. It's not really my cup of tea, so my search for a vanilla fragrance will continue.

Absolutely intoxicating in the the best way. It's a like PDM Althair and Donna Karen Cashmere & Palo Santo. It's a little more floral than Altair. I wear Altair all winter long. These two are a lot a like. There are some gorgeous nuances to this that I don't get in the DK Palo Santo one but they both carry that deep resinous and chewy sugar cane aspect I love. I have a travel spray of this I've had for about a year and the liquid has turned dark brown and delicious. I wore it tonight and got stopped by a stranger and she asked if she could write it down. It's so gorgeous. I'm becoming a big fan of Granado. I just ordered their new release Yes Nós Temos Banana and will report on that one as well. I adore Fervo Intenso, Oasis, Flora Mistica, and Citrus Brasilis. If you like Altair in the least bit, you'll love this.

A spectacle. It is everything I was looking for in a perfume. The first word that comes to my mind when I smell it is antiquity. The note of cashmeran combined with that of benzoin creates a talc-like atmosphere of an old house. It almost reminds me of a memory, but a pleasant memory of a cozy and happy morning in an old house with new sheets. Splendor gives me a much more nostalgic atmosphere than nostalgia itself. Not to mention the longevity, which is eternal! My clothes hold the scent of the perfume for days. It has become my signature fragrance.

This perfume is fabulous, it has a beautiful mix of amber, some florals, resins and vanilla, but it is making me feel upset because I can't remember what it is reminding me off! it smells familiar like something I had many years ago...I have tried Vanilla Antique and it is not that...oh please... Anyway, this is a gorgeous golden resinous fragrance. It feels nostalgic and elegant.

I got this one in Liberty London advent calendar and I'm glad I did, as it seemed too sweet for me in the beginning, I know I wouldn't buy it if I only tried it first in a shop. Since I had a whole bottle I gave it a try, and it wears so beautifully, creating a cosy cloud around you. Definitely a winter scent for me to wear with a warm comfortable sweater.

a simple and elegant vanilla — good for days when you don’t feel like trying that hard. also a great value for the size of the bottle. i wish more of the lily of the valley came through!

delicious ambery vanilla, woody sophisticated fragrance that makes me feel like a woman. lovely, lovely. two sniffs of it and it's already one of my favorites.

VERY similar to the Mercedez Club Black, but I prefer Esplendor as it has a little more oomph
