Figo Confit

Wonderful, addictive, I’m obsessed with the smell. Natural fig, slightly sweet — like the fruit itself — with green notes over a cozy cashmere base. The whole composition blends perfectly with the skin’s natural scent, creating that beautiful “your skin but better” effect, with projection at just the right intensity: noticeable but not invasive. It is a different perfume indeed, and maybe that’s why it feels unusual to some people. It doesn’t fit into those mainstream categories of heavy white florals loaded with tuberose or very sweet, strong gourmands. Nowadays almost all perfumes follow those same styles and end up feeling so similar. Figo Confit has personality. In my opinion, it’s the best perfume Granado has ever produced and my current favorite of all — whether national or imported, niche or mainstream. On my skin, it lasts 8-12 hours. Simply perfect.

Figo Confit was one of Granado's biggest surprises for me. At first glance, everything about it feels elegant. The deep purple bottle, the vintage-inspired label, and the overall aesthetic perfectly capture the mood of the fragrance inside: sophisticated, slightly nostalgic, and effortlessly refined. It feels like a stroll through a Mediterranean garden at the end of summer, surrounded by ripe figs, warm sunlight, and lush greenery. The fragrance opens with a beautiful burst of fig, immediately revealing both its fruity and green facets. There is the sweetness of ripe fruit, but also the freshness of fig leaves and the milky creaminess that makes fig such a fascinating note in perfumery. The opening feels luminous, natural, and incredibly inviting. As it develops, subtle floral nuances begin to emerge, adding softness and elegance without ever stealing the spotlight from the fig. The composition gradually becomes smoother and more rounded, while maintaining its fresh green character. What I love most is the balance. Despite the name "Confit," this is not a sugary gourmand fragrance. The sweetness is present, but it remains refined and controlled. The green facets and woody nuances keep everything sophisticated and airy. In the drydown, the fragrance becomes creamier, warmer, and more comforting. The woods blend beautifully with the lingering fig accord, creating a soft, velvety trail that feels both cozy and elegant. The notes include fig, fig leaves, delicate floral accords, creamy nuances, and a woody base that gives the fragrance structure and longevity. Together, they create a scent that feels natural, polished, and distinctly Mediterranean. Longevity is very good on my skin, with moderate projection. It doesn't dominate a room, but it leaves a graceful presence that feels perfectly suited to everyday wear. Overall, Figo Confit is one of the most elegant fig fragrances I've experienced. Green, creamy, slightly sweet, and beautifully balanced. Figo Confit is unlike anything else in my collection. It opens with a juicy fig, along with a purple plum, with light green touches, as if the fig had just been picked. Then, it transforms, and I smell dried fruits, somewhat chocolatey, which are actually the dates arriving and evolving on my skin. I don't smell any of the floral notes listed in the pyramid; I only smell these dates, which evolve, giving a slightly sweet, smoky nuance, like a very soft caramel. I even feel a slightly Arabic touch in the fragrance, but in its proper proportions. When it dries completely, I feel the fig coming and going. In short... this perfume is very niche and delicious. It's not a liqueur-like perfume, it's not a booze perfume, it's a fruity fig perfume, with dried fruits, sweet, unisex, tending more towards feminine in the dry down. Very different indeed. Granado nailed it again.
