Yes, Nós Temos Banana!

“Yes, Nós Temos Banana” arrived at the beginning of January 2026 causing a stir—which already signals the success of Granado’s new fragrance. It truly became the talk of the town! And I’m enchanted. It’s a creamy perfume, not gourmand at all, that opens with a very prominent banana—sweet, but one that loses intensity in the first few minutes. As soon as the banana softens (but is always there), a chic iris starts to emerge, not powdery, yet leaving an earthy, green tone, a hint of makeup. You know that plasticky skin of an old doll that still holds a scent from the past? Soon enough, that “vintage” quality turns woody. And at no point does this perfume lose its creaminess. The musk stays there the whole time, bringing a sense of comfort. It seems to me to be one of the longest-lasting perfumes from the Granado house, alongside "Rosa Sublime" and "Apotecário", even though it changes quite a bit throughout its evolution. On my skin, I get a soft wood (cedar with sandalwood), truly creamy. It’s as if we had rubbed banana tree oil (which I’ve never actually smelled in my life) over very raw cedar, just to polish it up a bit. Picture a cabin in a very tropical forest, surrounded by plantations and bunches of bananas. This banana is neither ripe nor green. The banana here is far from a Cavendish/banana-nanica (bubblegum-like, candy-sweet), for example, but it’s also not a green plantain. It’s fruit at its peak, blended with water and oats. A smoothie without milk. Sweetened only by fructose. I also feel it’s a great perfume for layering, since its base notes (iris, cedar, sandalwood, musk) are the backbone of many fragrances and appear here in a soft way. I’ve tested it with many, and it worked. Examples of Granado and Phebo perfumes for layering: Íris, Cedro, Sândalo, Nostalgia, Santalum, Fava Tonka, Déjà Vu. I also tested it with Molecule 04 by Escentric Molecules, and it was divine. It’s not an easy perfume. But Fragrantica is full of silly perfumes (and so are we).

I get banana with the Granado Nostalgia with it. Old powdery dated make up with creaminess either from the banana itself or fig. I love Nostalgia so this was a no brainer for me. Pity the soap smell like NOTHING, like not even soap base. And I could only get the smallest bottle kit with the soap. This is a love.

I was very excited for this release and bought a Decant but I am still on the fence. Banana at the opening is so sweet and flavorful that I wish it lasted longer. On me, the hay and the banana leaf are more prominent ( and me being mexican, smelling like wet banana leaf only reminds me of tamales, but not in a bad way ). It creates this gray, dusty and dry bubble that lasts for about half an hour and although the base should be more creamy, the fig, the banana and the iris create this violet aroma that can be found on Penhaligon’s The Favourite (that’s why I suggested it at the reminds me of section). Now, this is not a bad thing, because in The Favourite, the violet is amongst so many flowers that it can be migraine inducing, but if you take only the violet note, is amazing. And that’s why I am still on the fence, this is, for me, what The Favourite should be like, it would be perfect, but we are talking about a Banana scent by Granado so... I will finish my decant and see what happens. Sillage is weak but oh boy does it lasts on skin. I can smell it even after 8 hours of wearing. And I am not complaining.

It opens up with a loud banana note, it is exactly like banana flavoring, very sweet like banana chewing gum. This lasts just a few minutes. After that orris and sandalwood are the most noticeable notes. It becomes a skin scent. The banana note comes back more like the actual fruit, but is very very subtle. This is very nice.

A super nostalgic, fake-banana scent from childhood in the best way possible, balanced with a unique green quality that’s likely fig. A fantastic mix-up from heavy leathers and resins, but it breaks your heart with very short longevity and sillage—relegating what could have been a big-number score.

A unique, banana-forward scent with a noticeable sweetness that gives it a fun, almost addictive quality. It layers well with other fragrances and makes for an easy, everyday wear if you’re after something a bit different.

Nauseating, hideous. In my skin it smells absolutely terrible, though the top notes smell good on the scent strip. I don't know why anyone would want to smell like this. Good luck to Granado selling this.

Tem perfumes que você escolhe. O Yes, Nós Temos Banana foi um perfume que me escolheu. Você entra em uma loja da Granado sem grandes pretensões. Acha tudo bonito: os frascos, a decoração, o charme quase nostálgico do ambiente. Os atendentes fazem você querer experimentar "só mais um". Quando percebe, já borrifou metade da prateleira. E então chega a vez do Yes, Nós Temos Banana. Como descrever esse perfume? Honestamente, é mais fácil sentir do que explicar. Ele tem um acorde de banana que poderia facilmente cair na caricatura... mas não cai. Lembra uma bananinha doce, dessas de infância, só que vestindo linho branco e sabendo usar talheres em um jantar chique. É gourmand, mas sem exagero. É frutado, mas não infantil. É confortável como um abraço, mas tem uma elegância silenciosa que faz você querer aproximar o pulso do nariz o tempo todo. Em alguns momentos, a banana parece mais verde; em outros, mais madura e cremosa. É justamente essa transformação que torna a fragrância tão interessante. Ela foge do óbvio e entrega uma assinatura olfativa que dificilmente passa despercebida. É um perfume versátil, daqueles que funcionam numa manhã de domingo, numa tarde de trabalho ou numa noite tranquila. Não depende da estação do ano nem da ocasião. Depende apenas da vontade de cheirar algo bonito. Se eu pudesse resumir o Yes, Nós Temos Banana em uma frase, seria esta: é a prova de que a banana merecia muito mais respeito na perfumaria. A Granado olhou para uma fruta tipicamente brasileira e fez dela um perfume elegante, confortável e surpreendentemente viciante. Depois dele, fica difícil acreditar que a banana nasceu apenas para virar vitamina. 🍌

Followed the sillage to its wearer today, a Eurostar employee. Lovely creamy orris, musky. I had to stop him to ask what he was wearing, and it was this. He even brought out the bottle to show me and give me a couple spritzes. Such a lovely man! After he showed me, another woman nearby also asked for the name of it. I never would've guessed banana, but I see it now, and it works! Also, nice restrained use of what I think is a superamber. Funny that the ratings here are relatively low since it's clearly such a hit in the wild. I bought a bottle to remind me of my trip.

Got this at the airport as a farewell gift to myself from Brasil. This is STRONG!! Definitely opens with a realistic banana note that lasts for about 30min then it turns into a modern aldehyde scent. I can definitely smell the musk and woods as well. Pretty long lasting, would say about 8h on skin. I will definitely be breaking this baby out as soon as the weather warms up!!

It smells interesting, it does not smell like straight up banana. It smells like that soft banana candies. It smells like some kind of artificial candy fruit but with creamyness. It has the creaminess of banana with a base of musk and soft sandal wood. I don't know it ill go out of my way to buy it, but its definitely an interesting one.
