Cabotine Floralie

If you are still hunting for last minute stocking fillers, or wanted to introduce children to the wonders of fragrance, this darling little budget fragrance is a great choice. The bottle is one of the prettiest I've ever seen and I can't imagine that the scent would offend many. Floralie is nothing like the original Cabotine, in case you were wondering at the plethora of flankers. Floralie is a far more subtle floral than her parent, with an absolutely beautiful salty note. Flowers and salt? You wouldn't think it could work, would you, but it does, because neither is overwhelming. Despite the overtly feminine bottle, I think this is a Unisex scent. Men would smell incredible wearing this - I can't test it because He Who Must Be Ignored in All Things Perfume says he has unspecified "allergies" and can run surprisingly fast when motivated. Floralie is a good choice for hot days, but I do wish it was stronger. The house of Gres should be congratulated on consistently releasing good quality budget fragrances.

Update: I’m actually getting Crystal Noir vibes from this 🤔 Love at first sniff! I wanted to start the Cabotine experience and this bottle appealed the most to me. I found it the most suitable for the coming warm season, so I blind bought it. For me and on me it’s marine salty coconut-y sunscreen-ish, it gives vacation vibes, a light creamy but long lasting scent, it’s very comforting.

Got this for 10€ without smelling it first and it ́s lovely. A fragance of white flowers and a bit of coconut, lemon and musk. Sweet but not sickenly fruity. It ́s a pity the longevity is moderate and sillage is weak but it ́s a lovely skin fragance for the hottest days of summer, fresh, clean, uplifting and light and won ́t bother people in public transportation. A nice one.

First of all, this has nothing in common with the original green Cabotine. It is very fresh, watery and has a clean vibe. It reminds me of the times when I used to add a few drops of white musk essential oil in the washing maschine before I did my laundry. Nice, clean scent.

I bought this at a special low price yesterday with no tester available and don't regret my purchase at all. The bottle is so pretty and the scent is delightful; warm, sweet and a bit musky without being sickly or cloying. I'm so happy with my bargain! YAY!

I blind bought this because I love the house , the perfumer and definitely because I love the bottle! I’m not usually the person who cares what the bottle looks like but this one just wowed me. It’s delicious and airy , soft yet present A+++++

I'm rather astounded at how beautiful this perfume is. Salt, cedar, and lily of the valley all wrapped up in a gorgeous little bottle that looks so pretty next to the original Cabotine. How does Perfume Gres do it?

I bought this wonderful perfume because of the pretty bottle, and, I was in for a surprise... I wasn't taken at the first drops, but than, it developed on my skin, and now we are BFF for ever!

Floralie is, no surprise, a flower bomb on me for several hours. Feminine, and of course well-blended considering the nose. I bought it because I Iike Christine Nagel and her Mauboussin, which is a true and intriguing EDP that costs but a few shekels. I am also a fan of Gres, and Cabotine. I was intrigued that this might have a sea note and be somehow an aquatic Cabotine. Mind you, I don't get the fil conducteur through the Cabotine line. They seem like individuals, not a family. Maybe the relation is more abstract? OK, S I X D O L L A R S for a Christine Nagel frag. And it's every bit as perfumy as Mauboussin. I like it, and I like it more when it dies down. The Salty Sea Note might emerge after the bottle takes a couple months and some oxygen. My 2 wearings did not reveal it. Perhaps come late spring I'll layer it with aquatics, which are now wintering in the dark cellar with the hibernating geraniums. I don't see this as a summer spray, nevertheless. If only Gres would paint the name on these flankers like on Rose and Cabotine, which are so cute and humble. The shrink wrap is disappointing.

I recently discovered and fell in love with the Gres Cabotine line. Given the low cost and adorable rosette bottles, the four fragrances in my collection (I honestly want every single one now) were all blind buys. Of the four, Vivide, Gold, Original (green), and most recently, Floralie, I love Vivide and Gold, hate the green, and like Floralie. Floralie is much more subtle than green (thank goodness), with a much lower sillage, which I appreciate, and the woodiness mellows the overall effect. Sitting here typing, sniffing and resniffing my wrist, I'm liking it more and more. Going against popular opinion I think I'd wear this more in the evening than as a daytime scent. It's sophisticated, understated, gentle and inviting. I do wish the bottle was painted instead of the plastic cling wrap labeling, but I'm sure this is where Cabotine saves $$$ on bottle production. The translucent pink rosette cap makes up for it.

I have loved Gres perfumes ever since I was young. I admit I did buy this more for the bottle than the juice inside. I nearly have the whole bouquet and they look so pretty bunched together on my shelf. This is a very light sweet tart fragrance, one I like more sprayed on a flowing scarf or shirt when I am out and about in early spring. It brings a lightness to your step and the promise of sunny days ahead. On my skin this is more floral but on my clothes there is more tart citrus so it is worthwhile spraying this all over to appreciate all the gorgeous layers this perfume has to offer. It is light and refreshing and hopefully everyone around your will appreciate it and lift their spirits for Spring Days to come.

Floral woody musk, Christine Nagel AND another gorgeous floral cap?!? It's a conspiracy I tell you! I think I must be among the world's most drooling fools for Cabotine flankers. All are lovely and some are truly marvelous. I'll be anxiously waiting to find this new gem, especially since it marks the first time a flanker cap will be pearlized! Edit: Today, May 31, 2015 this has FINALLY hit the on-line discounters. Scentedmonkey's ebay store has 100mls for $21.01 with free shipping. I'm dizzy with anticipation!

A Floralie egy gyümölcsös virágbomba több órán keresztül. Nőies, és jól kevert. Én rajongok a Gres-ért és a Cabotine-ért, ez nagyon más vonal, semmi hasonlóság, ami nem is gond. Ez inkább ellenkezője a cabotine-nek, markáns, virágos, vizes, gyümölcs. Kifújás után nagyon markáns, de száradva csendesül, és gyümölcsös fehér virág marad hosszan. Kicsit olyan érzéssel, mint egy jó minőségű, de erős sampon. Melegebb időben lesz ez kellemes, most januárban hiányolom a melegséget /mélységet belőle.

This made me chuckle upon first spritz because I instantly got reminded of Versace Crystal Noir. It is like the watered-down, cologne or mist version. This is gonna be perfect for layering. If you are on a budget and want a scent that somehow resembles Crystal Noir, then this is a good alternative. The bottle is very cute though it doesn't really represent the scent.

It is a musky delicate spring rose with a hint of sea water, fresh and flowery in just the right proportion. Perfect for spring or summer, when the weather gets warmer, but you don`t want to reach for the usual `summer` edt-s. And a lot of people will ask what scent are you wearing!

Makes me think wearing it while going out walking in the snow, Its coconutty white bouquet would keep warm, give some bright and energy. And this, when it settles, don't be fooled by opening freshness. Better outdoor; Cabotine stayla streght and good radiance.

Bought it because the nose is Christine Nagel but I didn't like it. Reminds me of the cheap fragrances we used in Greece in the '00 (Sarantis), full of generic musks. It was inexpensive, so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised...

This one is quite alright. Thankfully, it doesn't turn into the kind of manic sensory assault as the OG Cabotine does. I usually enjoy black currant in perfumes (Tiffanny and my sister wears Si by Armani), but I don't think it gets the chance to shine here. The opening is a little odd, which seems to be a recurring trait across the Cabotine line - I assign it to the overall price segment and thus quality. The composition also doesn't feel particularly refined. It's clearly not a fragrance built around high-quality natural essences, and the materials come across as more budget-oriented. I don't think the listed notes are misleading - I believe they're all present - but they're blended in a way that makes them difficult to perceive. Instead of a clearly layered composition, it reads as a slightly sweet, fruity floral. Despite the marine notes on paper, I don't get much of an aquatic character. The drydown is pleasant. Nothing spectacular, but easy to wear. It also develops a faint beer-like undertone that I've noticed in Cabotine. Perhaps that's part of the Cabotine signature. I wouldn't buy this, but I will not consider myself assaulted if you sit next to me wearing it. Edit: After a few more hours, this is giving a Central European administrative worker in a slightly dated, but pretty formal attire. That's not bad! It's vibe. Edit 2: Next day drydown - the aquatic notes are prominent now.

Fragrance Review For Floralie Cabotine Gres Top Notes Lemon Black Currant Freesia Middle Notes Rose Lily of the Valley Sea Notes Base Notes Peach White Cedar Extract Musk Amyl salicylate Floralie is a unique aquatic floral scent which surprised me. Sure it's cheap but the fragrance is more sophisticated than meets the nose. I could go on and on about the Cabotine line but I will keep this short and to the point. Like other perfumes in this line, this is a floral fragrance. Fresh flowers with a citrusy lemon. It reminds me of old fashioned toilet water in a Victorian home. Once the citrus notes fade, a light fruit begins to emerge and it's the grape or currant note but it's not very strong. The floral notes arrive before the currant can form more fully. It smells mainly of white lilies and freesia to me with a little bit of rose thrown into the mix. The dry down stage is woodsy with cedar, but in a very subdued and subtle fashion. Amyl salicylate is an extremely rare chemical note in perfumery but not in shampoo and body wash. It smells of orchid. With the peach and and cedar wood especially fruit peach mélange it give this scent a shampoo or bath product aura. It is very enjoyable as an after shower fragrance and easy to wear on an spring or summer day. Lovely

Freesia, lily of the valley, and peach--three of the notes I find most aggressively synthetic. But it is a fun fragrance, Floralie. I enjoy the green tang of the black currant note. It needed something, so I layered on a natural, greenish jasmine perfume oil. I do get the sea notes, nice and magnetic. Love the musk. Amyl Salicylate, I guess, is another green and fruity-type influence. Strong and long-lasting, especially if I layer it with a musk or jasmine fragrance oil. Fruity fragrances are not my favorite, but it is still fun. Enjoy. Later, on 2/21/22 Something kinda funny: Floralie Gres layers nicely with Moschino Moschino--not that Moschino needs anything added to it, it was just a what-the-hell moment that I ended up wearing them together. And it works! Floralie on me is not the most long lasting, and Moschino helps with that. Surprised how they manage to echo each other in some way. They do not smell alike. Also, I will say, months after first wearing Floralie, I am much more used to florals, and even peach is not my total enemy anymore. So this is changing to a love, and I recommend it to anyone who likes these kinds of notes.

I collect Gres fragrances because they are one of the few classic houses still around and I lover their bottles. The original Cabotine is among my favorites. I like this one a lot because it like an airier, frutier version of Versace Dark Crystal, which I love. The bottle is soooo pretty on this one, I love it. The box is absolutely gorgeous, Only complaint is it doesn't last long even with an unscented cream on my skin to hold it, it becomes more of a skin scent after an hour or so, not strong sillage either. It's inexpensive enough to respray over and over though. I wish there were a matching body cream or lotion available. It looks awesome on a vanity or wherever you display your perfumes. Just don't keep them in direct light or heat or in a damp bathroom if you want to maintain their freshness.

This is not one of those syrupy, fruity, slightly too sweet and sickly fragrances. On me, it's beautifully woody, with the blackcurrant and lemon existing happily alongside salty driftwood, beachy, musky, slightly rosy/somehow creamy notes. Well blended, not screechy, very comforting. The woody notes seem more sandalwood than cedar to me. It's very nicely done. I do think this is the kind of fragrance that has the potential to smell very different from person to person, depending on individual chemistry, perception and olfacactory experience. I truly love it. The beachy vibes say summer, but the creamy woody side of it works well in fall/winter. It's versatile!

I love this everyday scent. Smells exactly like kenzo fleur de magnloia , staying power is good. smells white flowers but a bit overbearing to me and with a hint of citrus , dry down is musky .. i also smell coconut which is not even mentioned in the notes !! Update : well after wearing this for a couple of months I t got too much for me unlike fleur de magnolia which was never too much for me but the coconut note is too loud in a sickening manner .. I still wear this but on occasions and especially when my sinus is inflamed so i wouldn't mind this loud perfume >>>

The bottle screams "girly". I was surprised then that my first impression was sunscreen. Not all bad. Evokes good times on Hawaiian beaches. I knew that impression would quickly disapate, and I was right. The fragrance developed to a sweet floral, with very faint citrus. Through its course the musk showed itself, not unpleasantly, mitigating to some extent the overall sweetness. Yes, it is girly, but I say worth the money.

I had a sample of Floralie EDT. I will describe the contact with this scent. Major notes are rose, freesia, lemon, blackcurrant, peach and sea notes at least what i can detect, these notes create a warm, friendly composition. Average durability, but pleasant. When i smell this from my skin i found associate with almonds. Yes they are not in there but i noticed something like that. Nice perfume, suitable for summer season.

A fruity fresh floral perfume. Its sweetness is barely there. I cannot detect separate notes, just a pleasant cool breeze, that is pretty soon replaced by a more metallic aroma, probably the base notes that I am not very sure my nose entirely agrees with. If you get it on a promotional price,as I have, it is definitely worth a try, the absolutely cute bottle should encourage girls to grip it

I was very pleasantly surprised that I could smell the salty note right off the top and throughout the wear of it! Fun, salty, citrus heavy, lots of lemon on the top, a bit of musk as it wears, not a lot of floral to me stands out with this fragrance. Perfect for spring and especially summer all occasion wear. Sits close to the skin lasts on me about 2-3 hours.

This is so crazy!On me it smell like Versace Crystal Noir ,but like a cologne version.The smell is just linear ,but the same.If i knew it,i wouldnt buy it ,because i am fed up with Crystal Noir.Floralie has almost none lasting power and the sillage is poor,but i have 100 ml ,so i will pour it on myself .I am on a hunt for all Cabotines,i love the bottles!

A creamy gourmand coconut like Deseo. I feel tropical in this, not citrusy or floral. OK, it does have grapefruit for just a few minutes, then becomes a coconut macaroon bakery. All in all it is lovely. It also reminds me of Wrapped With Love without the sickly melon. If Marie Antoinette were alive today, she would love this bottle.

Reminds me of Gucci Flora Jasmine. I really liked it. In fact/ I liked it better. On me the dry down is a bit sour, I smell mainly jasmine 3 to 4 hours after spraying it. But it's a great value for the money. Not girly at all. It smells like a woman's perfume. All in all, I love Gres perfumes.

This is an nice, modern, light and warm sweet scent. Well done by Christine Nagel. The only teardrop in my eyes is the lasting power, in my oppinion this could be better. But for this price it is ok. A fine summer scent with a youthfull spirit. I like it.

This is a "Pretty" Scent. Very safe for the office, or any occasion. It's a lot like Cabotine Rose, just half Rose, half Peach in place of the full Rose. I have loved Rose for years, & will enjoy this pretty bottle as well.

I don’t get any of the listed notes, but I clearly get a soft tropical feeling, like fresh coconut wafers and caramelised pineapple. Also, sweet abstract flowers on a green background that might seem too synthetic.

As much as i was excited to get this in the mail, all I can feel is regret upon first spray. I was hoping for florals like magnolia, but this is salty marine with old fashooned floral nuances. I will pass it on...

On me, the cedar is very prominent in the opening. This eventually fades to the background and the peach and rose take a soft center stage. Lovely, light clean fragrance.

Pretty bottle. Looks a bit vintage, but that ́s just positive. The notes sounds good too. Will try this when it comes out.
