Fruit de La Créativité

This is one of the hidden gems in my fragrance collection. The raspberry opening is sweet and juicy with the most gorgeous rose surrounded by leather and cedar. The orris root adds depth and interest to it in a way I'm still trying to get my nose to understand. It is great value, interesting, moderate lasting, versatile, and it is also smart- think crisp ironed shirt paired with black tapered trousers and boat shoes, business casual and office appropriate. I sprayed a little on my straw sunhat, wore it four days later and it smelt like sweet leather. Also stays on clothing for days. P.S: I adore this fragrance but the cap is just a downer! This really needs to be improved. It also doesn't last on skin for very long: 3-4 hours.

Just got my 100ml bottle of this beauty... Smells delicious! I get fruity leather, like the name promises. Top notes reminded me of an imitation of Oud Ispahan I own, immediately after I felt envelopped in a softer and lighter beautiful cloud. This perfume smells like money, trust me! And literally for a song. It takes me on a slow walk across luxurious galleries, in a baroque palace. Thick velvet tents, mirrors and chandeliers... Maybe I'm still riminescent of Beauty and the Beast Disney movie I watched on tv during Xmas holidays! Not a powerhouse, after less then two hours I've sprayed it I still can get a subtle whiff which nobody would notice. For her and for him, to feel elegant and treat yourself with something special.

A treasure and a steal. Bittersweet and dimensional. Leather; bitter, aromatic peach pit; airy and luminous raspberry. If Byredo Black Saffron is a roar of lipstick and leather, this is Simone de Beauvoir in a tweed suit. Classic, measured, but not conservative. Evokes another time, but uses contemporary language. Smoking is bad for you! But also, this would go great with a cigarette.

To my nose this perfume resembles a lot to Davidoff Leather Blend, except this one is leaning towards feminine maybe because of the raspberry, while Leather Blend, also a unisex, goes a bit more masculine. It's beautiful, niche feeling and the price is incredible, 15 eur for such a beautiful perfume is a steal. I'm testing longevity on my skin now.

Nice. On its own its leaning more feminine because of fruity component, but for me this is missing layering ingredient, used on top of western oud in order to have clone of Tom Ford aTuscan Leather.

I smell the leather note most acutely. But the leather note has a quality that is very like tobacco at times. Overall, I like it. You can't beat the price

Just got this and Puerté in the mail! Giving my first impressions, might update later :) This one to me is a rose, raspberry, saffron, and leather fragrance, and in that order. From the main accords I would not put leather as the first one. The opening is a bit... odd/boozy/fumey but it calms down pretty quick. I don't get any coffee, and I really have to think to be able to differentiate the leather from this. Mainly rose (not too mature, but not super jammy) and a raspberry that moves to the backround after the opening. Could work all year round and in many occasions! Something about this reminds me sliiightly of Inara Oud in the opening (well, they do share a few notes), but without the oud and the sweetness dialed down and just all around more mellow and easy. This is nice, but I was left missing... something? We'll see it it changes, since I just got it recently. It does have a uniqueness to it tho, when comparing to mainstream (designer) frags, and for the price (i got it for 20 euros) I would call it a hidden gem! EDIT: After testing it more, I'm getting more of that smooth soft leather(suede?) in the drydown and maaaybe coffee if i really try to imagine it :'D But it feels like a nice feminine leather frag, really pleasant :) Just enough sweetness. Something about this makes me think that you should look "put together" when wearing this, nothing too formal, but it has something classy about it.

Now that all shopping has to be done blindly, at least I myself would like more evaluations of these lesser-known scents, even at the risk that someone else might smell the same scent in very different ways. This fragrance came as a complete surprise to me, none of the notes with these two fragrances are not even the same and great nuances could throw a resemblance to some other perfume, but in my nose this resembles like the tamed Cartier Le Baiser Du Dragon. This lacks vetiver and this is more directly sweet, but unlike the notes noted, my nose get boozy amaretto, coffee/dark chocolate and lightly something dry, though perhaps agarwood than vetiver, but what still gives the scent an edge. I can't smell any soap here. I think this scent is beautifully blended and pleasant, sophisticated. Where this clearly loses to Dragon is complexity, sillage and longevity. A tamed Dragon, for me. 8/10

One of the better fruities, I smelled in years. Juicy, sweet and easy to wear. The raspberry is a little too sweet to my liking, but it pairs well with the saffron and the orris root. The saffron is noticeable and so is the leather in the base, though it’s a soft one. Not exactly a dupe, but the rose-n-leather combo is reminiscent of the one in Kelly Caleche and at a fraction of the price it's a very good alternative. Price-quality ratio really is outstanding, which is also true for the other two in the Les Signes de Gres-trio released in 2017. This is the one I like the least of the three, but it is still highly recommendable for lovers of leathers with sweeter undertones, as long as they don't expect something oriental-leaning.

I was so sure I had reviewed it before, but I didn't 😮💨😮💨 Although I have had it for a couple of years 🤷🤷 Anyway, it's a wonderful aroma, something strange the first seconds but that was a sigh, acidic fruits with Saffron and leather 🥰🥰 I love it, both of them, this one and Etat de Grace are 100% cooler/colder climate perfumes, seriously, do not even try any of them in hot weather, they are too strong, can cause headaches and nausea or dizziness 🙅🙅🙅 In addition, why risk discomfort by using them in heat?? when you can perfectly carry their summer sibling EXTREME PURETÉ 🥰🥰🥰 btw E. P. is total/real UNISEX

Powdery bouquet of garden flowers and fruits; to me it sounds "french", smth. on Channel's side. It is pleasant, but quiet. Good for a nice start of the day, a cup of coffee with croissant. Suitable for those who enjoy perfume showers and will be glad to renew it during the day (are there other sizes than 100 ml?) 💐☕ Maybe on a hot skin it will sound louder, i wish that well-balanced compositions would not be that light and quiet.

A wonderful scent and a twin with Byredo Black Saffron, but a bit toned down, softer. Beautiful. Warm Saffron, Rose and Leather. Not sweet - so I guess this makes it a bit unisex but no typical male feeling too it. If you find it - buy it, if you're into Saffron/leather-notes! Its a bargin. Really good priceclass, Grès.

This smells so rich and niche. Raspberry saffaron combo is yummy and elegant and sexy.

Mmm - tart, nutty, juicy berries.

I was highly intrigued by the comparison to la petit robe noir ( whichever flanker) and somone mentioned le baiser du dragon? well i was pleased with this, it dries down to a really powdery, fruity, leathery fragrance that smells middle eastern a bit. I kept getting little whiffs of it at work the other day even though i wasnt wearing it. It must have been in my hair. I couldnt wait to get home and douse myself in it. My only complaint is the lid feels cheap and not exactly ergonomic, but the fragrance is beautiful

I have all three fragrances and wish people would downplay this collection so I can save my coins and buy them all up! [insert villain laugh] All three are amazing (now reread this sentence in all caps). The sillage and longevity are not the best, but I really don't mind respray all day. So impressed with this house, I can't wait to try others. Fruit de La Créativité - rosy, woody, sweet, creamy Extreme Purete - fig leaves, bright, effervacent Etat de Grace - sweet, ambery, spicy, warm

Not my favourite genre but I sprayed some on to test the gres line. Not bad strong raspberry and leather. Minimal saffron. Fairly masculine and I don't get a lot of rose. A touch screechy and not really impressive if you're used to the niche alternatives to this scent profile it's like a massively watered down version of them. I don't get a load of rose and it's 90% gone after 10 min.

Sweet red roses, caramalized nuts and a light sprinkling of mellow, finely ground coffee - offered in a cone of very soft napa leather. The bouquet completed with a tart touch of juicy raspberries. This is my favourite berry-leather-rose combo: gorgeous!

Those in love with powdery, sweet florals are going to love it. I consider myself a fan of the genre, but it's nevertheless a bit too much for me. Lasts for days on the paper strip.

Very interesting sweet saffron with soft leather, the rose is in harmony, it is also slightly powdery and somewhat nutty and throughout its phases it often reminds me to Red Aoud.

Remaining a lot of Oyuny al haramain. Fruit de creativite is oriental parfum, whit boozy note of amaretto. Sweet and inviting, perfect for cold winter days

A perfect october scent, leathery, soft, warm and a bit spicy, without being too straightforward. Very balanced and elegant. Love it!

Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose and JHAG Lipstick Fever, same category, a powdery softly sweet rose.
