A perfume that makes me lol in incredulous, slightly appalled, delight every time I wear it. Downright offensive hyrax-and-leather that makes close relative Dzing!'s animalics seem sedate smashes right into strawberry (per the notes apple) jelly beans, caramel and pink candyfloss. I'm fairly sure I smell a bit gross to others when I wear this, but it has the same fruit+animalic that I love in things like Nudiflorum and Luxe Calme Volupte, and I can't stop applying squirts from my sample. As it dries down, it begins to meld with skin but the focus continues to swing between fading animalics and fruity jelly beans. Extremely powerful - one spray from my sample is enough to blast out animalic fruit candy for ages. It's a fun and reckless scent, a potential FB for me.

This smells like bubblegum and leather. I find it edgy and different. It really does evoke fun fairs, candy floss and toffee apples. Yes it is on the sweet side, but the leather balances it out. This was the first ‘niche’ perfume I bought as I adored the sample at first sniff. It may not be for the masses, it’s not a ‘safe’ floral perfume (which I personally find dull. They’re two a penny) Side note: it smells great layered with Ariana Grande’s Cloud (or the similar but pricey beloved Baccarat rouge. The two combined smells like a day at the seaside. Salty sea air, ice creams, toffee apples...takes me back to childhood carefree summers...sigh

Sexiness in a bottle. In the opening, it smells unapologetically artificial with notes of bubblegum and cotton candy. Then, musky leather makes an appearance, and this tension between notes that have nothing in common becomes surprisingly captivating and meaningful. Innocent yet dangerous. Not a safe blind buy. On the feminine side of unisex. Potent. Two sprays are more than enough.

All of Gri Gri perfumes are inspired by some tattoo technique. Sideshow is based on the ‘old-shool’ anchors and mermaids, romantic, colorful and a bit kitch. Opens with a very lighthearted bubble gum accord but surprisingly proceeds to a very animalic and sensual leather made with one of the few material of trully animalic origin: hyraceum.

I was really looking forward to sampling this, what I was hoping for was dirty, raunchy animalicness mixed with an over the top sweetness, but sadly it only deliver's on the latter. It opens with bubblegum, then comes apple juice, caramel & other sweetness I didn't find instantly recognisable... after a while these all just merge into each another & end up smelling like an overly sugary sweet well known energy drink; in the background is the smell of new car leather, that has that clean,tight, shiny plasticyness about it, in the late dry down it's more about the leather, but that sweetness lingers on. I found it fun & an interesting idea, but it's not really for me. I think I'd have enjoyed it more if it were a rougher, worn & dirty leather, or maybe if it just had something balancing out the sweetness a bit more, or didn't end up smelling of redbull.

Cherryade Panda Pop mixed with beer in a pub that still has a faint scent of cigarette smoke. The base has a warm, dark & powdery nature to it that you do find in many perfumes with Hyraceum in them. I feel like there might be small amounts of civetone in this as I sense a yeasty feel to this that gives it that beer vibe. I do think though that Hyraceum might not be the animalic of choice for a fruity animalic, or at least not being the dominant force. I feel like some more civet would have really brought out the fruits. Edit: Got sad when my small sample ran out. Got a full bottle. No regrets.

The name, the backstory, the notes, I'M THERE for a sample. Day one had me smiling at this novelty fragrance and I wouldn't consider a bottle it's just too juvenile. Remember blue WKD drinks? Day 2 yes I'm appreciating the darker side now and on my skin it's so well balanced I get neither note on it's own. It's uplifting and inquisitively sexy at the same time which suits me because I can wear it anywhere. Yes my bottle is on the way. BTW it lasts 12 hours with a big scent cloud.

To me this has the exact smell of freshly pressed apple juice. It dries down into something that smells like fruit flavoured gummy candy, candy floss, with only a very soft leather smell coming through. I....I...like it? It has above average longevity.
