I was on a search for proper hot weather scents, but with lasting power and a scentprofile which is not based on ambroxan, sweeten citruses, candied ginger... You know- the usual bunch found in summer frags. Well, this next to Nishane's Ege and Essential Parfums' Bois Imprial aremy summer staples. Let me be more specific. Antalya is an interesting compositionwhich starts with something salty and herbally- I guess the myrtle and sea notes. Then it transitions into something more woody( in about 20 mins or so). I personally can't tell the individual notes in the mid. Soon after cones the base- the seeweed and amber is clearly there as the frag warms upafter an hour so. That's the end result of the note development- a herbally, salty frag with seeweed and some warmth from the amber. Nothing screechy, synthetic. A very interesting combo I might add. Longevity- easily 8 hrs on my skin and maybe 10 on clothig. Keep in mind that this is with *heavy* applications- atleast 8 to 9 sprays!! 2/3 don't work with this frag. The projection is great for the first 2/2,5 hrs and after that it stays within a close scent bubble around the wearer. It's clearly noticeable during the 8 hrs of life. After that it becomes a skin scent. For whom is it? Mmm, probably a tad more masculine, but a woman could wear it for sure. Seasons- warm/hot weather, therefore spring,summer and warmer autumn days. It doesn't have the strenght to push through the bitter cold, nor the scent profile to be appropriate. Occasions- as versatile as ot gets. Casual, bussiness meetings, dates( as it has some playfullness). Whatever. You name it, it'll be appropriate. In conclusion- an intersting semi-aquatic with balls. Salty, herbal, slightly sweet. Super interesting imo. Classy. Great longevity for a warm weather frag. It needs HEAVY application to work though. tilted to the masculine specter of scents, but still unisex. As versatile as it gets. Can be found for a bargain online- got a full presentation bottle for 70 USD. Personally, would not pay retail. Would repurchase. A gem among a screechy, synthetic, dull fragrances. 8/10

Wow, Antalya smells amazing! It’s in my experience the richer, deeper and darker fragrance twin of Salina by Laboratorio Olfattivo. A fragrance that I already have and love deeply and one of my favourite summertime scents: marine, aquatic, aromatic, salty, woody with a slightly sweet vanilla dry down. And 100% not smelling like seaweed at all, for whoever has such concerns... So, if you’re like me, and love this kind of scents, Antalya will be right up to your alley! It’s not the typical vacation type of scent, that every house releases every summer, but it has a vibe of “you are on a posh Mediterranean island” for sure! Is this better than Salina to justify the price difference?? I am not so sure... I am planning to test them side by side to see if besides the packaging, which is obviously more luxurious and eye catching on Gritti’s side, it’s worth purchasing Antalya in the future, once I finish the half of my bottle of Salina that I am already using. I will come back in a couple of days with an update on this review about my conclusions after I have some time to wear them side by side! But if you don’t have already Salina and you want a scent that sounds like this, Antalya is gorgeous and long lasting. And looks expensive and chic!

To set story short I'm getting more muscular Profumum Roma Acqua di Sale. Not so linear as ADS,can be worn not only in hot summer days, little bit dense than ADS. Very nice fragrance after all taken in consideration.

6 Feb 2019: Got myself a sample. It's strange but nice. I keep wanting to smell and compare, never smelled anything like this before. I might just buy it but I'm gonna use all of the sample first and see how it performs. Definitely not ordinary. 10 Feb 2019: 2nd time I'm wearing it and I like it more. I'm certain it can last over 5 hours because I only sprayed twice from the sample and after 6 hours I could still smell it on myself. (sprayed twice on my neck) I don't know how to describe it though; the idea of seawater is there but the rest is quite mysterious to my nose. It's definitely not for everyone. The scent is a bit vague but keeps me wanting more, even if out of curiosity. It is not a "strong" fragrance that radiates and it's not instantly recognisable but so far I can not compare it to anything else. I guess it's safe to say that there are no sharp notes that will irritate others or trigger sensitive (allergic) noses. It may not be for everyone but I would definitely recommend getting a sample or trying it in a shop.
