I LOVE THIS PERFUME!! Top note is a very BOUGIE grape soda. Creamy I would say. First impression was OUT OF THIS WORLD. It warms up to a smoky CIGAR & Fruit Stripe ZEBRA gum. OMG!! It doesn't end there... It only gets better as it settles. I'm completely intoxicated by such deliciousness, bougie GRAPE SODA, caramel, RUM, smoky CIGAR, ripe BANANA & ZEBRA gum.. A milky TONIC. Its dark (not too dark) sweet but ENIGMATIC and sexy... Lasts all day, but I prefer to wear it at night 10/10 Chefs kiss. This perfume makes me want to write XOXO on literally everything. Santanico Pandemonium (1996 version) smells like this. On her days off from being a dancer and a total B I T C H. I'm sure of it. Draculaura from MONSTER HIGH (all grown up, probably in college) obviously wears this. MAVIS from Hotel Transylvania is buying it too. Got this a few days ago, blind buy based on notes and good reviews. Let me start by addressing the L’Interdit rouge similarities: yes the opening is very similar to LR but more refined less sharp and less spicy. The opening lasts about 1.5 hours on me. Then mid and dry down is where it’s at. The fruity notes and the caramel come through and just make it so delicious. I wouldn’t classify this as a Gourmand despite the caramel and banana notes because it definitely smells perfume but in an expensive way but it’s delicious at the same time. It lasts so long on skin and it definitely takes you on a journey. The bottle is gorgeous. I have heard the spillage is beastly but I haven’t worn this out yet so I can’t comment on that but it does last long especially on clothes. On a side note: I tried it side by side to L’Interdit intense and they smell nothing alike not even a little bit.

Tuberose creamy sweet and tropical. Gorgeous scent. Lots of sweet notes, but without the tuberose contributing by being overly bubblegum sweet, if that makes sense. The overall scent is very creamy and a little powdery but leaves a beautiful tropical tuberose trail. It does have just a little bit of that perfume-y quality (that is not an ageist comment, and it is not bad. iykyk). I really love the tuberose jasmine and hint of banana in this. 🌴 🌺 - if you like Hili by Widian you will most likely really like this one.

Addictive & high on my Want List! It opens with bubblegummy white florals with a creamy banana note. The drydown smells like caramalized nag champa. I love every stage of it and have been wearing it on and off for a few weeks. A complex, unique, masterpiece tuberose that’s likely to be my next full bottle purchase. Decadent, rich fragrance that's stunningly beautiful in every way. Update: I did buy a full bottle! Sillage is enormous with just one spray. Lasts the whole day.

This fragrance is so fun. Not all fragrances need to be complex and mysterious. It immediately reminds me of Big League Chew bubble gum and Root-beer. I know that sounds really strange but It puts a huge smile on my face and makes me happy every time I wear it. It also has great silage and longevity. I work outside and in greenhouses all day so I appreciate a fragrance I can still smell after a couple of hours.

This stuff is so so good. I’m not a big tuberose fan and it is the main flower here, but it’s done so well, I love it! It has some bubblegum characteristics but also it’s a little dark, woody, a touch animalic. It’s tuberose for grown ups and I’m here for it. It lasts pretty well on my skin, but it’s the first 3 hours where I get the best whiffs of it. Great stuff!

Wintertime, cold weather, cold skin and I'm running to test new perfume... I'm afraid of tuberose here, but what I sniffed is totally a masterpiece! All notes playing as one, from the beggining fruity, floral, green, ambery, savory- like that its stayed on the blotter for hours, but on my skin its opened into the creamy floral gourmand adorable scent... just wow 🥰

Bold, warm, and addictive with real presence. It reminds me a lot of Givenchy L’Interdit Rouge in vibe, sweet, creamy, slightly spicy, and unapologetically feminine. This isn’t a skin scent; it projects and lingers beautifully. Fun, confident, and mood lifting, the kind of fragrance that makes you feel put together and powerful the moment you spray it.

Tuberose Bomb w/ a twist that I’m supposing is the banana leaf. This is beastly. I did 6 sprays (3 body, 3 clothes)—that was too much. I got 13 hours out of it, and it was radiating even at the end. I have to scrub this off. It won’t go away on its own. This is a top tier fragrance worth every cent, but you must like tuberose.

Love at first sniff. It's a delicious, tropical tuberose. One of Gritti's better-performing fragrances, I get about 6/7 hours on the skin with a strong silage. So fun and feminine, simply gorgeous. If you like Ambrosia Imperiale and/or L'Interdit Rouge, you may enjoy this as they have a similar scent profile.

Soft, smoky, sweet, enveloping!!! It's so unique, yet so familiar. I actually get a resinous nag champa in the dry down that is TO DIE FOR. This reminds me of something you would smell walking into an indie crystal store next to the local smoke shop in a small hippie town in CO. Def worth sampling!!

Gorgeous. Beautifully done jammy tuberose, very alluring and sexy scent with a little bit of greeness and sharpness. Weirdly enough I get a little bit of vanilla jasmine rice in the beginning, but I love that. Cozy, sensual, feminine, sultry.

I tried this scent and thought ehh, I fell asleep and woke up to this alluring sensual trail that smelt so good. It was THIS omg, I immediately purchased a full bottle. I get a lot of the banana flower. Definitely a date night scent!

Candied tuberose! This fragrance is floral and sweet. Absolutely lovely and feminine! Got a sample from Luckyscent and now I definitely need to get a full bottle.

Reminds me of Hypnotic Poison in character. Not a dupe, but hypnotic and sensual to the maximum of cheerful ingredients. Very modern and gourmand.

This is very white floral....the jasmine and tuberose really stand out and then it has a slight sweetness that gives it balance. Def a spring floral scent, and has a slight density to it making it something I would not over spray. It is giving me feminine/inviting, any time of day, spring vibes overall. Because of the strong floral and slight sweetness I would pair this with a sweet fragrance or body cream to add more depth and balance. It's not a love at 1st sniff for me, but it does have me continuing to reach back to smell it which normally means I'm probably going to buy it. Gritti is normally a hit or miss with me, and I haven't smelled anything that blew me away at 1st sniff. But it also is a brand that every time I smell one of their fragrances I continue to go back for more because there is always something about it that is intriguing. Right now I own Duchessa, Rialto, Gossip Night, and Tutu, and I more than likely will be adding this one as well. If you're a strong white floral fan you will probably like this. If you are not, then I would get a sample before purchasing.

Very strong tuberose scent at the opening, which is complemented by hints of tobacco ( I know it’s not listed but trust me) and a sweet candied vibe. There are also subtle notes of banana and soft, fluffy jasmine. As it dries down, the fragrance evolves into a pleasant fruity white floral. While the opening is perfect for tuberose enthusiasts, the overall experience didn’t quite wow me. It’s a nice scent, but it didn’t keep the excitement throughout. If you’re a fan of tuberose, you might find this one intriguing. ☁️🍌🍓🍦 I rate this a 7/10 and it’s kind of growing on me so who knows!

Oh man this is nice. The sexiest tuberose i have tried so far. Ahhh I need this! Makes me want to try My Way. I have never smelled that one lol Edit: Performance is terrible and i am not as wowed in the dry down. The banana flower shined in the opening but once that disappeared the fragrance lost its shine. Became boring generic sweet grape-y tuberose skin scent. Not fb worthy at this price, sadly.

Calling all sweet tuberose lovers!!! This is simply gorgeous. I can see the comparisons to My Way but this is just 100x better. Juicy, sugared fruit in a sticky sweet caramelized vanilla, creamy tuberose glaze. Like a dessert you would get at a tropical resort. The performance is killer as well, easily 8+ hours on my skin. Can’t wait to wear to the beach this summer.

I’m disappointed little bit. The perfume is good, creamy sweet tuberose, sexy and smooth, BUT 🤔 You can buy very similar perfume, but cheaper 🤷♀️ It’s like a dupe on what already is on the market, but more expensive. Sexier and deeper than My Way. Those frag more on the fresh juicy side, while Gritty is more about sugary caramely fruits, with a lot of tuberose

I have a love hate relationship with tuberose. When it goes into that bubblegum territory I can’t stand it. Thankfully that doesn’t happen in this fragrance. The blend of white florals and banana leaf note makes this fragrance creamy and slightly sweet but not in a cloying way. I really enjoy this fragrance and will be adding to my collection.

Jovoy Paris informed me that they would start carrying this end of Feb/ beginning March.

A huge dose of almost oily white florals. You really need to enjoy them to enjoy this perfume. If you do, you'll be in luck. Unfortunately for me the only thing that blooms on my skin is the tuberose and jasmine, amped up by the banana flower. On it's own, banana flower smells softly of something similar to ripe bananas but with a slightly savoury undertone. Couple that with the white florals in this fragrance, especially the tuberose, and it becomes almost suffocating. It is still quite warm where I live and I feel that this fragrance may benefit from a cooler season. Will need to try it again in a few months.

Dense oily white florals is the main note which makes it a bit too mature (and I’m 43) and “perfumey” for me. Tuberose does this to my nose so ignore this review if you love tuberose! The dry down is quite a bit better, lighter, sweeter but I can’t make it through the initial blast.

I get the candied fruits caramel and vanilla. It's playful and simple. Very fruity gourmand and lasts a few hours. It is not cloying. I think fruit fans will like it. It sours in the heat though. I do get British old lady tea party off of it but not in a bad way.

The notes looked so promising but this does absolutely nothing for me. It just smells like a perfumey nondescript concoction of notes. It's also powdery and quite dry. I'm glad I found a decant instead of purchasing a full bottle.

I agree that this fragrance feels unique, yet familiar. L'Interdit comparisons are spot on, only Because I Am Free smells like a calmer, softer, a bit more interesting version of L'Interdits (Rouge or Black).

I received a sample of this and I can’t decide yet if I need a FB of it. On one hand this is exactly what I wanted my way to be like and on the other hand... it smells similar to my way which is obviously a lot less. I find this blend to smell more refined and sexier which is why I am considering it but I’m still undecided and need to play with it a little more. This blend isn’t as synthetic smelling as my way is to my nose, it’s blended better but is it worth it for the price? Maybe... Performance wise it is a bit better than my way, that one didn’t last on me but an hour. This lasts longer but it’s not at the performance level I want it to be, just moderate/low. The first hour is fantastic but after it seems to stay closer to the skin. If it had better performance I probably wouldn’t hesitate to buy the bottle since scent wise, it’s an upgraded version of my way to me that I’ve been looking for. Keep in mind I’m trying from a sample size, perhaps the fb would be better. I would hope that’s the case but from what I’ve tried already from the brand I have little faith, they haven’t been known for great performance and they have put out copy cat like scents like this - albeit this is done better and I just happen to like it a lot, it’s still a copy cat fragrance to me. They have at least 4 other scents that closely resemble other popular designer & niche fragrances. Scent wise, you have to really enjoy tuberose to like this fragrance and I do but I can’t lie and say the similarities to my way aren’t apparent here. The differences are the banana flower accord & the caramel sugar like effect I get which I really enjoy honestly, gives it a sexy edge if you will but yeah for now I’m going to wear it a few more times before deciding. Just know if you are wanting to blind buy this, it probably won’t blow your socks off. You’ve definitely smelled it before in some way. Still, I really like it. If I end up with a fb I will comment back again to see if the performance is anything different.

After wearing my sample more I caved and got a FB, wore it another time and ultimately decided to sell it because it just didn’t wow me. The unique part I loved was in the opening/mid phase but as soon as it dried down it became very lackluster to me and at that point smelled pretty similar to my way. The magic is in the opening of this fragrance and I just wished that part stayed around. I will say the performance I initially reported on did improve, I got better performance when worn from the full bottle. Still it isn’t a loud fragrance by any means, it stays in your bubble and can be smelled by those approaching you which makes it office safe and I would definitely call this a mass appealing scent. I got about 6-7 hours from it with the first 3-4 being the most noticeable and from then on it was a skin scent but a persistent one as I still smelled it slightly after a shower. It is a pretty scent but just not unqiue enough for my tastes.

The scent of a woman you would die with ✨ Even if she dies first, you will fight to be buried with her 💕 I got myself a Hypnotic Poison by Dior a few years back and I could only get my hands on the EDT back then from where I'm from. I loved the scent so much but it was lacking in more ways than one, and a friend fell in love with it when she smelled it on me so I sold it to her bc the projection was weak. I didn't expect much reading from the notes, but when I first sniffed it on my skin... My brain switched off and it felt like for the first time in years, I was in a complete relaxed state. This was everything I wished Hypnotic Poison was when I first got it back then and the projection and longevity is so strong that I woke up the next morning still smelling it on my clothes and it created this heavenly bubble around me. I'm not saying this is a dupe at all, but this is by far the best take on tuberose I've sniffed.

The initial spray of this fragrance was not what I was expecting a burst of heavy white florals that I didn’t quite understand. Then I started to get the tuberose which began mesh with vanilla. Afterwards I began to get some type of banana like vibe projecting off my skin.. idk if it was coming from the Banana 🍌 leaf note but when I got to the dry I completely understood what this fragrance reminded me of a certain tropical treat🌴 that is wrapped a banana leaf with a caramelized inside! I forgot the name of it, but omg it’s so delicious I can’t wait to wear this in the summer.

Oh my...how can I say it? this is a dense floral scent, with a huge fat tuberose mingling with a very indolic Jasmin, surrounded by some dried fruit notes and a heavy amber. This makes me think of a woman that has enjoyed a lot in her life, she knows how to seduce, she has actually seduced many men, she knows how to impress a man in the intimacy, she definitely has been dangerous. She also has the love of her many grandchildren. She still enjoys the heavy naughty floral scents that remind her of her very explosive youth.

Just like L'Interdit Rouge, very surprised to not see the note of orange blossom in this. Very reminiscent of Neroli Blanc Intense (which is actually an OB fragrance). The tuberose is that bubblegum tuberose, not like the tuberose in Rouge Malachite or Fracas. Definitely getting the almond blossom and candied fruits. IDK what banana flower smells like so I can't speak to that. So envision bubblegum L'Interdit Tuberose, almond blossom, candied fruits, and a strong tonka (from the vanilla, caramel, amber accord).

I thought I would hate this because other sweet fragrances I've sampled from the house of Gritti have this harsh and chemically musk. Because I'm Free is surprisingly lovely, a straight-down-the-middle flormand that dries down to smell like a flanker of L'Interdit, but perhaps a bit more smooth and luxurious. There is a hint of banana that adds a nice, tropical touch without being obvious. Not sure I need this in my collection, but I will happily use up my decant.

This doesn't smell Grandmotherly to me like some others are getting. I get caramel+vanilla with the tuberose (some jasmine) and a little fruit. This reminds me a lot of LUMI Concipio, but the Lumi is more gourmand-leaning. I like this one. I was hoping for more banana but even without a strong banana I am still feeling this. Will keep trying it.

It is dense and for my nose has “too many notes” it comes off as confusing rather than complex, if u are sensitive to scents and have a migraine, this definitely triggers a migraine for me, if u do use it, one spray is moore than enough! I can imagine it would be annoying and cloying for people around you if u overspray (and to you😂)

Reminds me of Barq's rootbeer candy. Nostalgic and sweet. Will stay on your clothes for days. Almost identical to Banana Republic Velvet pomegranate ( which is roughly $20) but Because I'm free is more powerful and creamier. I'd also say this is very feminine smelling, not really unisex in my opinion.

Literally all I smell is Tuberose!!! I don’t smell anything else. I thought I’d love all of the notes but this one isn’t for me. Should I let this one Macerate? This is NOT a safe blind buy. It is very strong. Only 1-2 sprays needed. In my opinion this is a more mature fragrance.

This is generally a beautiful sweet scent, but i cannot get rid of a subtle but present toilet airfreshener mixed with a hint of medicinal notes (almost a mix of licorice, minty, eucaliptus cough syrope). Not going for a full bottle with this one.

Smells like a traditional designer tuberose with a cologney vibe. The unisex cologne vibe makes it fun and helps it stand out. Still more feminine leaning. Definitely a must have if you’re trying to branch out of the traditional white floral dna!

How is there no tobacco note listed? This smells so spicy, sweet tuberose and tobacco to me.

First impression: This is the crossover between L'Interdit Rouge, La Belle, and So Scandal.

Lasts forever on clothes. Fruity, fresh, floral, and a little sweet. Really enjoyed it.
