Kill The Lights

Funky, smoky, herbal, raw leather & birchtar. A surprisingly daring and interesting offering from a brand that I'd normally categorize as an overpriced clone house. The closest thing I can think of is Black Afgano. Essentially, this is to leather what Black Afgano is to oud. They both contain a very prominent smoky birch tar note. They both convey blackness, but this isn't an oud scent, this is an animalistic, angry leather, and then there's a deep, dark, bitter greeness from the hay, the davana and the artemesia. This is somehow even meaner, more twisted and more demonic than Black Afgano, which seems almost meek in comparison, but there's genuine beauty in how it wears.

FINALLY, I got fragrance from this HOUSE to join my collection after I tried it accidentally by Attar. In fact I found it magic and unique Perfume that deserves to be in Top but unfortunately This PRAND is underrated despite of having a high quality of notes and new vision of creation. Kill the light is wonderful and unique leathery Scent the note that I adore it is strange and deferent from all leathery scents that I already have, it is starting smooth leather then dry down some sweet and animalic notes beautifully blended comes slightly with intoxicated leather. Yaa Marvelous combination I do recommend to wear it and give it a try.😋

Kill The Lights! Aah, initially, i did not like it. However, after five months or so, my appreciation for the fragrance has grown considerably, evolving into a genuine fondness. There is an inexplicable and mysterious uniqueness to its aroma that I find captivating. Longevity: 10 hours or so.

it does have leathery vibes but it doesn’t the same as TOM FORD Tuscan Leather, it’s a unique composition more of a “hay” and "birch tar" in middle notes then of a “leather”. It’s truly long lasting with great performance. A jewel in a collection.

A balsamic, herbal, slightly absinthe opening of davana, artemesia, and juniper. A touch of juniper freshness and smooth balsamic herbs. It phases out here, almost disappearing. It is beautiful while it lasts, but there is literally nothing beyond the opening notes. A bit later a slightly leathery and bit of hay drydown. Nothing else. It's nice, but it does not live up to its promises because it is so weak.

It smells like those cheap car fragrance trees. Not my cup of tea.

I try to respect a perfumer’s vision when it comes to the inspiration for their fragrances, but the description for Kill the Lights from Gritti Fragrance, with its story of a one-of-a-kind leather-clad, out-of-control rule breaker roaring through the storm on his beastly motorcycle, doesn’t do it for me at all. Nothing in those words resonates, and, respectfully, that’s not my story while wearing this scent. Instead, this musty balsamic woody floral takes me to a very literal place, the song Kill the Lights, from Canadian darkwave synth-rock band The Birthday Massacre’s 2007 Walking With Strangers album. This lush, melancholic song always sounded like someone found a dusty book of fairy tales and paraphrased those enchantments through a gothy, gloomy world-weary, jaded 20-year-old's “them’s the breaks, kid” kind of lens. There’s a miasma of last night’s perfume and smoky bars about it, coupled with bitter, brittle pages plummy with the poison of hope and happy endings. It’s another scent in my pink pepper journey and also has enigmatic inclusions of artemisia and davana–two evocative notes which always catch my fancy– and though I’m not necessarily getting out of it what the creator had in mind, I’m still finding it an intriguing and enjoyable scent.

Agree with dysect - where's the iris in the scent pyramid? I know it's not listed, but something smells powdery/makeupy about this composition. Leathery base tones with mild smokiness. Had a mild fruity pop in the opening which disappeared quick. Also had some mild cola hints - I think that's the vibe Gritti's artemisia adds, since their Alexandria 2 dupe "Beyond the Wall" has that same cola vibe. Performance is surprisingly poor for a leather profile.

Wow...this is a weird one. It starts slightly herbal, maybe a tad sweet, but rapidly evolves into a maniac covered with birch tar and leather straps. It feels agrestic and little bitter. The mastic, leather and Birch tar are difficult notes. It ends up smelling like something that is not friendly, almost like hot asphalt. A sample is more than enough for me.

Smells EXACTLY like Byredo’s Black Saffron. Which I love. That’s all! Do what you will with that info!

To me it has some Black Orchid vibes, tbh (not that the scent is the same, but some nuances)
