Pomelo Sorrento

It's starting to become difficult not to sound repetitive. I am attracted to Italian citrus fragrance. I have tried so many that I think I have to go to Group therapy. I prefer Italian because of the quality. At first I was hesitant because I read the reviews before I tried it for myself. Never do that. I thought this was going to be artificial and cheap. It is far from that. Perhaps if you don't give it time and you judge it simply off of the first five minutes, yes I can see that. It has a green tea by Elizabeth Arden vibe. I suggest you wear it again. What happens afterward is quite beautiful. A very realistic and supple grapefruit and pomelo are introduced and there's no turning back after that. It is a memorable citrus. A citrus that you will crave instead of forget. With as many citrus fragrances that are around approaching 2024, consider this an exceptional compliment. I am testing this out in the middle of December in California when it is about 40°. I can only imagine what this will smell like in the summer afternoon. Pomelo Sorrento, at the very least, deserves a summer afternoon.

No idea where I saw this originally, but I finally caved and blind bought it due to the glowing reviews. This is blind buy safe if you like Italian citruses with light florals. This is in the same vein as Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi or Sole di Positano, but I think they're quite different. If it were a family, this is a first or second cousin. It's closer to the latter of those two if I had to say. It's quite easy to imagine walking around Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast of Italy and smelling this in the air. It perfectly captures that mood. I got a full work day in the office performance out of it, with sillage dropping to less than arm's length by noon. After I showered when I got home, it could still be slightly detected. For a fresh citrus scent, that's great performance. The bottle is quite nice, but the cap is the star of the show. Very pretty and appears handmade. This is among my best blind buys, and I absolutely love it! This is happiness in a bottle.

I’ve been on a quest to find a tea fragrance that my skin chemistry will accept, ever since my cancer meds have made my hormones go haywire the last couple of years. Black tea notes now smell smoky and tobacco-like; green tea notes smell “overripe,” somehow. I’m not even sure how many tea fragrances I’ve tried in the last 2 years, but Pomelo Sorrento is the only one that finally didn’t smell weird and “off” on me. The opening has a candy-like sweetness to it; it actually reminds me of zesty, spicy Fruit Loops. Despite its name, I’m only getting grapefruit from this. We have 2 pomelo trees on our property, and this smells like neither the flowers nor the fruit. While the citrus notes are rightfully the stars of the show, I’m actually here for the dry down. That’s when the tea note really emerges for me, and it’s soft and comforting. Definitely a skin scent, but it actually lasts for hours on the final stage and is exactly what I’d been searching for.

Parfem je toliko dobar, lep, opojan, toliko svež - razgaljuje, pa zanemarujem njegovo kratko trajanje zbog ogromne lepote mirisa. Ovo je parfem definitivno za toplije proleće, leto, čak i naveče dok je vruće, može i za teretanu, sportsku odeću, farmerice, patike, šorc, majica itd. Parfem ima toliki moćan udar da je to fantastično u prvih 15 minuta, kasnije narednih dva sata malko spadne oblak, ali se itekako oseti da ostavlja trag za vama, nakon 3 sata on ide uz telo. Nekoga će to kratko trajanje odbiti, ali verujte mi da se to apsolutno zanemari kako je divan miris, samo doprskaš opet i sve zviždi hahaha, moja preporuka, nema osobe kojoj se ovo neće dopasti! Kupovina na slepo bez probe je sigurna 10 od 10, ja ga često koristim i u drugim godišnjim dobima nakon tuširanja, jer obožavam taj miris, dešavalo se čak i pred spavanje da ga našpricam :-)

Beachy summer vibes. I often struggle to appreciate fresh scents, as they are often flat and one dimensional, but this gem was a delightful surprise. It starts off with a gorgeous mix of pomelo and grapefruit, both juicy and delicious, while the floral notes provide structure and depth to the overall composition. Eventually you get a hint of that salty sea breeze, that feels like an oceanic element in the blend, likely coming from ambergris(ambroxan), which I truly enjoy - but the foundation is all about the tea, which is crafted beautifully here. I live in Los Angeles, where temperatures can fluctuate randomly between 70°F and 100°F degrees making it perfect for those hot steamy days. It indeed reminds me of Mandarino di Amalfi with a touch of Bulgari Pour Homme mixed in, due to that tea, but much more natural and refined.

Absolutely beautiful citrus bomb with just the right amount of sweetness added so it doesn’t feel like air. The tea note is there but not front and centre, it just adds the right about of something to cut through the citrus and sweetness. It was pretty hard to find in Canada and one of the only niche perfumes I’ve ever paid full retail price for. I fell in love with the sample and knew it was worth the investment. The nice thing is gritti’s regular line is relatively affordable in the niche world so it was doable. Definitely going to be my favourite summer scent this year. Love love love.

UPDATE2: Bought a full bottle. Underscoring this is excellent for the hot and dry days of mid to late summer. The simplicity and freshness is wonderful, the twist of a grapefruit zest, some of the fresh juice. Makes me want to order (or make) a greyhound drink, or perhaps a paloma cocktail (sparkling, per favore). A spritz will do too. Don't be fooled by the name...this will work on Capri as well 😀 UPDATE: I am finding I enjoy this one when the days are hot and dry, worth a decant A clean citrus scent, would be great for me except weak and does not last long

Beautiful citrus. Bright, juicy, spacious, punchy. The green tea really opens up into an iced, creamy almost floral movement in the middle of the scent. Soft rose and amber bed it down. I love citruses, and this really stood out. Peel, pith, and flower are all present in this scent. I highly recommend it, especially for citrus lovers.

This is one of my favorite scents. It's very bright, fresh, and clean. It's somewhat similar to Wu Long Cha X but this one is just better and brighter. My only gripe is that I wish it lasted a bit longer but I still don't regret this purchase. One of my favorites in my 120+ collection.

This is my new go-to summer scent! It's so fresh and zesty thanks to the pomelo and grapefruit, but it also has this lovely green tea note that keeps it from being too sweet. The dry down is sophisticated with a hint of vetiver. Perfect for day or night!

Pomelo is not a favorite note of mine, but here in company with grapefruit it truly shines. Delightfully tangy, with tea and just the tiniest touch of white flowers keep things from tilting sour. The base is also not woody, which I appreciate. Unisex.

Is without exaggeration, the finest fresh-citrus aroma in the world. It’s so bright, juicy, sparkling and perfectly balanced... I’m honestly shocked at how good it is. This fragrance feels like bottled sunshine, and I adore it completely!!!!!!!!!

I find that this house uses a lot of scratchy aroma chemicals but Pomelo Sorrento is blissfully free of them (or they're blended much better). Really nice and fresh tea/citrus scent. Bought a bottle and will be using this a lot during the summer.

Soft, sparkling grapefruit with a splash of iced tea that puts a smile on your face. Pomelo isn’t a note I usually hunt out but here it’s so perfect. Ideal day-wear for summer heat and holidays in the sun. Uncomplicated and joyful

Extremely good! Similiar scent profile to mandarino di amalfi but it’s just way longer lasting and even a tad bit better smelling. This is a gatekept gem dont hesitate to buy, I blind bought and dont regret it at all!

Very clean, fresh and somehow soapy. Reminds of herbal shampoo, steam room and green tea. Not your typical citrusy, light blue kind of fresh. Smells EXACTLY like quince fruit. I enjoy it a lot!!

My gosh this is so good. It’s a tea scent with a slight icy feel to it, it’s like fresh air hitting your face and the citrus in this is INCREDIBLY smooth. 9.5 could possibly be a 10/10

The juiciest citrus fragrance I have ever tried, if you are looking for the perfect natural citrus scent this is it. The performance is between 4-6 hours with good projection

reallly nice scent, the citrus at the top paired with the tea is like a faint candy like scent and almost iced tea scent really enjoyable and pretty fresh
