Siracusa

A sweet, watery freshie, but not sharp like other freshies can be—the creaminess cancels it out. I am completely obsessed. I cannot think of anything else that I have that smells like this. As far as a feeling, TF Neroli Portofino is the closest I can think of, but only because they both give a cooling & refreshing effect (and the bottle similarities, of course). TF is like eating a pineapple. Siracusa is like drinking a pina colada. It is strong on me and last 5+ hours, but my body likes a sweet freshie (Sunscape, Zenne). It’s a unique and not yet overhyped find for me. Full bottle worthy. As beautiful as I think this is, I don’t think it is a safe blind buy. The musk & solar notes might still pull too zingy for some. I did, for a half second, smell something slightly Erba Pura about this a little later in wear, likely because the creaminess of the whipped cream had worn out by then. It’s a compliment-getter too!

This perfume opens with a bright freshness that instantly reminds me of stepping outside on a warm morning. The scent feels clean and airy, like a gentle ocean breeze drifting across sunlit sand. I totally understand why the opening might be challenging to some people, but I don't mind it. I get a lot of almond and sweet vanilla-citrus with a hint of something slightly green, so beautiful. Lemon sherbet next to an air conditioner in a fancy hotel lobby in the best way possible. I feel like if you enjoyed the bright, almost-soapy opening of Yum Pistachio Gelato, you'd like this too. Really contemplating splurging on this because I feel like it's so versatile <3

Right off I get a fresh, smooth, almost sugared lemon. Not cloying or heavy. As it settles, the sweetness of the whipped cream comes to play. It’s so refreshing.. This is totally unisex, but due to the sweetness, more feminine leaning. Something about this fragrance is very addicting. It lasts so long on my skin. It’s just beautiful imo. Not a safe blind buy though. Sample first. But I love it for Summer! Very bright and uplifting.

This is a winner. Bright and fresh on the first spray with the floral almond coming through, the mid toes come in about 20 minutes later and are creamy and sweet but not saccharine. The base notes evolve after about an hour as creamy, bright powder (it must be the solar notes, as I normally wouldn’t expect a powdery base to feel soft but bright simultaneously).

An absolutely stunning fragrance. For me, there is a slightly minty note (perhaps palm leaf) in the top that throws me off, but as that dissipates the vanilla and solar notes really step up and man are they beautiful. Giving off expensive spa vibes for sure, and I’m not complaining.

Idk however as it develops it’s more of the air freshener vibe I spoke of originally but it’s NOT pleasant! It reminds me of an older lady’s guest bathroom 😩 I don’t know what changed! Update 9/1/26 Starts off the most beautiful warm summer scent! Italy in a bottle. Buttttt at the end all it’s still that bathroom air freshener scent I can’t fall in love with.

For my nose and on my skin it’s a happy and well blended combination of gourmand and fresh profiles, leaning slightly more to the first one. I can grasp only a bit of sandal and I do not really know, how palm leaf is smelling. The rest of the notes are there. Projection and longevity are ok, I can smell the fragrance on myself 3 to 4 hours, people smell it up to 5 hours. I believe, it’s a decent rate for hot days, more projection would be complicated to combine with the heat. If you are ok with vanilla fragrances and bring also a lover of fresh profile scents (rather neurology/orange blossom, and not grapefruit/vetiver/pink pepper), it could be a blind-buy-safe option for you.

I don't understand why this is rated kind of low. To me, this smells very similar to Ithaque by Memo Paris except I prefer this perfume to that one because I find Ithaque to be a little more masculine leaning and this one to be more unisex. This is a very citrus foward fragrance that almost smells drinkable to me? Lol I don't know but I do know that if you are looking for a summer gourmand perfume because this has a whipped cream note, I'd say that it adds a level of creaminess and some sweetness but this is mainly a fresh perfume.

I really like this! It’s definitely a fresh summer scent, on me smells very clean and crisp, I definitely get the fruitier crisp notes and that last all day for me. It would be amazing in summer (winter where I am currently) and I would love to try this again when it’s hot. It made me feel clean. I really liked this, it lasted on me all day and I kept smelling my wrist. Hubby also liked it so that’s a plus! I can definitely agree this as being unisex almost leaning feminine. I would purchase a full bottle!

This is a light airy gourmand scent. Think smooth, slightly creamy vanilla & lemon sorbet. Although this has a whip cream and vanilla note it still happens to be fresh as well due to the lemon. The lemon is very dominate and lasts thru the entire duration of the scent. This smells like a luxury hotel lobby. Clean and expensive. It also has great lasting power for a freshie. Sadly I had to declutter because sometimes it can give air freshener vibes and that’s not the scent profile I like to go for.

I have a sample of it. Interesting fragrance, I haven’t tried anything similar to it! Smells like tropical green plants, but with sweetness. Don’t be afraid of green notes, they are not sharp at all in Siracusa, this perfume is smooth and little bit floral. Not your typical “vacation” type of scent, but it has a vibe of you are on tropical island, it was rainy 5 min ago, but now it’s so sunny and hot and you are walking between the palms 😅 Don’t get any almonds

I like this scent. The opening is a bit strange as it does smell like one of the cleaning products you have under your sink. However, the dry down is very pleasant. It is not long lasting and you can barely smell it after 30 minutes. I think that it leans more feminine and it would be perfect for those hot summer days when you want to smell clean.

Smells like some kind of house cleaner or shampoo on initial application. It’s not a bad thing per se just what my scent association goes too. It’s very fresh but also sweet. I get the solar/sunny vibe, along with the lemon/almond/tiare. It’s very different from other things I’ve smelled. On the fence if I like or not.

If you’re looking for an interesting freshie that actually lasts on skin, try this one out. It does open kind of strong with the fresh citrus and green notes, but very soon the warm notes come through to balance it all out. This is a unique one. It’s not a safe blind buy, but definitely worth sampling!

Very solar, very green, very fresh. Has a faint smell of sunscreen but not in a bad way at all, it’s like a creamy, vanilla sun screen. This is a top tier beachy scent.

Siracusa Is an interesting scent, kind of sweet, kind of floral and kind of tropical. There’s also an effervescent quality to this perfume, and it stays this way throughout the duration it’s projecting, about 90 minutes. Unfortunately this also conjured a tropical dryer sheet imagery for me. And once that happened, I grew tired of Gritti’s Siracusa. Not a bad scent, but go into Siracusa knowing it leans synthetic.

Siracusa doesn’t really remind me of any other fragrance that I currently own. However, it definitely is not out of place either. I have a couple that I own, Aaron Terence Hughes Carbon which was discontinued this year, Queening, The Forward, and Castling from Mind Games. Meaning, this is a beautiful scent, completely and utterly inoffensive and is a perfect addition to my collection to be worn in the summertime, although it could also be worn in the spring and perhaps in the early fall. I don’t think I would use it during the winter as I’ve some more appropriate for that climate. I would grab Siracusa when I don’t want to be in a beast mode fragrance. Fresh out of the shower after cutting the lawn, and want to relax, this would be one that I grab. Going to the beach, a day out an about, strolling through a park. If I wanted a fragrance before bed, I think this among the others mentioned above would be one that I would grab It’s wispy, light, airy, full of white florals and; in particular, that lemon blossom comes immediately through upon first spray. The whip cream Lactonic added with the creaminess of the Sandalwood in the base is there throughout the life of the fragrance. Honestly, this is a delightful fragrance that can be enjoyed by anyone, although it may be slightly too feminine for some people, I liked it upon first spray which is why I bought a full bottle.
