Tutù Blanc

Finally I have it in my hands...I love the house of Gritti. To describe this fragrance in a few words I would say that at first glance Tutù Blanc appers to be a coconut centered perfume but the real soul of the scent is revealed in a heart made of raspberry, black current and rose, served on a base of vanilla and musk, and made enchanting by pulsating warm heliotrope. It opens with just a touch of pink grapefruit and apple for a juicy and crispy effect, soon however the coconut becomes the star! It present itself as similar to coconut flour, very powdery and sweetened even more by the vanilla in the base, but also with a brief mentholated/fresh facet. When the coconut settles a bit, we are hit by an intense dose of flowery heliotrope, very warm and intense, almost pulsating...it lends to the fragrance a strong sweet almond vibe and much powderiness. This is really just the beginning though, because the true nature of the scent resides in the raspberry, black current and rose menage a trois! The black current was supposed to be in the opening but I think it has a star role beside the raspberry. The fruitiness is very strong in this stage but it is posh, elegant, nor juveniles nor overly sweet; the marriage of this three notes smells like a purple fruits + rose candy that is sweet but yet manages to stay fresh. In this, I think, lies the true worth of the perfume! The raspberry is very high quality in this creation, both the material used and the way they used it, so the childish/body spray effect that the note can sometimes have is averted here. It's juicy and ripe but not overly sweet. Very louminous, glossy and mature. Really a high end raspberry. Base notes of vanilla, musk, and amber frame the composition in armony without competing with one another. I was expecting a more vicious vanilla, sickly sweet...instead every element of the base is measured, very well blended. The musk is fuzzy and warm and has a sort of whipped/spun sugar texture; the amber has some balsamic quality about it (I am thinking of a mix between sweet benzoin and perù/tulù balsam); the vanilla is sweet, milky and a little woody. . It's so feminine this perfume, the name fits quite well, but I would picture more a powdery pink tutu then a white/blanc one (Gritti has another perfume called Tutù Pink, reported on Fragrantica as just Tutù, and it smells almost the same but it has a fizzy/sparkly opening of champagne and it is even more powdery). The imagery it recalls is indeed feminine, gracious and fairy tale like...think of tulle, lace, bows, dancing shoes...sugared almonds enclosed in organza, the one usually given away with crystal ceremonial's favors. Think of young, clean, precious elite's girls... spoiled girls, send to the most expensive ballet studio to learn good posture and how to control their "exuberant" sensibility. I can imagine that very own dancing studio smelling like this...the bored elite girls who attend it were pure of heart but with time they are beginning to understand how the world works...sensuality, jealousy, competitiveness, all arise in them. And something malicious. Infact, the beauty of this scent is that it doesn't speak only of candor and innocence, it's not just a serene, tender and gracefull smell but it has, to my nose, a sensual, sophisticated and malicious part as well. Just like those precious girls would have. One other perfume I can think of that manages to convey the exact same duality is Tresor Midnight Rose by Lancome, which is very similar to Tutu in the posh and glossy usage of the raspberry note, moreover they share a very similar rose although much dark in the Tresor Midnight; that one too smelled very high end/high maintenance but it is less powdery and sweet though. When the rasberry/black current and rose combo is done in a mature way it always speaks this dichotomy to my soul, something very peculiar (and probably, in Tutù Blanc, the jasmine in the heart's notes contributes to amplify this effect). If any of you has seen the Italian movie "A game for Girls" [Un Gioco da Ragazze] or read the same titled book by Andrea Cotti, I see this perfume on the protagonist, Elena, a bored rich joung girl; she seams so innocent, otherworldly, lost in self harm, distant but so hurt and full of emotions...in the end she reveals herself to be malicious and altogether stone cold when she, and her subjugated friends, play a dangerous game, sabotaging without repair the life of a naive new teacher.

I'm so surprised at the relatively low rating, this was love at first sniff for me. Is it groundbreaking? No. But it's smells so divine. I get a lot of black current at the opening and it holds decently throughout the wear, which is one of my favourite notes of all time. It's really smooth, just a hint of coconut (i dont get tropical vibes from this, which is my preference) and the projection is pretty good for this type of fragrance. I love it so much i want to get the Tutu pink extrait version even though they literally smell the same on the dry down, just ever so slightly denser. Can get this at a great price on the discounters online as well so I HIGHLY recommend if you like girly, fruity slightly floral perfumes. Screams spring time to me.

The berries and other fruits here are juicy yet they manage to be a touch creamy. Certainly not a fragrance to be taken seriously or worth the retail price in my opinion but nonetheless I do really enjoy it and it surprisingly does quite well on my skin. It may just be me but for some reason it puts me in the mind of Sweet Pea or Pearberry from BBW. I can't say for sure which one, since I haven't smelled either in a while, but it definitely conjures fond teenage memories as those were my "signature scents". For that reason more than any other, I absolutely love this nostalgic (although basic) fragrance.

If Barbie would have a signature scent pretty sure it would have been this. This is so soft, girly, clean, pinkish, summery and fruity. It reminds me when I was a little girl and back then I owned an original barbie, it smells so similar to dolls especially when they are brand new. Do I love it? Yes bc it reminds me my childhood Does it worth the price? I don’t think so bc there is not much longevity or sillage, it sits very close to the skin. Even though I would purchase a full bottle just to go back to my childhood when smell it.

Just picked up this fragrance and I love it. As it sits on my skin, it dies down to a creamy rose. Reminds me of a creamy raspberry rose. I know people say that it sits near to your skin, which is true, as I can smell it anywhere I've sprayed throughout the day. But I went out on a breezy day today and everytime the wind blew through me, I would smell the scent dancing around. I also sprayed this on my hair and the scent has lingered the entire day. As a rose lover, this was different enough for me to add to my collection.

A very smooth and refined fruity creamy delight. This is the only fragrance I’ve tried that retains a delicious berry scent throughout the life of the fragrance. I’ve seen a few reviews saying it sits close...I find it to have a very prominent lasting scent and nice sillage. My kids love it. I’ve felt pretty and and enjoyed sniffing myself all day wearing this. I’m not normally a fruity fragrance lover but the added smooth creaminess in this one makes it a home run and happy blind buy for me!

This is a creamy-fruity gourmand, feminine, ,,good mood" scent for spring and summer. It starts with a sparkling, very well done apple-blackcurrant-note, the coconut is just there to give it creaminess.It later evolves to a lovely, soft skin-scent with relatively good longevity.All in all, it can be a ,,blind buy" if you are a fruity gourmand lover.

The perfume opens with sour fruits and at the same time, it is sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. The dry down is powdery. It is very close to the "original" Tutu. I cannot detect any differences. Very light spring feminine perfume! However, it is not mass production. Love from first sight! The one and only!

Pretty, fluffy, and ethereal. I fell in love the first time I sniffed it. It is so well blended, so smooth, there's not a harsh note to be detected ever. It all just flows into each other, while at the same time I smell something different everytime I try it. Highly recommend.

Sits VERY close to skin, without any projection or sillage BUT - it is surprisingly good. Delicate and powdery, with very "cold" musk note. Sophisticated and "clean" without any freshness. Tutu Blanc opens up with tons of fruity notes - apple, sour black currant and coconut. Then, a very non-synthetic raspberry comes into the mix and stays forever. It is not girly or edible here. It doesn't smell cheap. With powdery heliotrope it becomes what it is in it's core - a very elegant and sophisticated smell for summer evenings or even office friendly. It lacks performance but it has all the elements of a good every day or even signature perfume.

Nose Note #224 I haven't yet smelled OG Tutu, but this one is interesting. Very interesting coconut-heliotrope combo. The musk is in the right place here. The opening was a little buffling as it felt a little too heavy, but when the fragrance settles it basically smelles of something light, floral and mildly sweet. Kirke watered down three times + coconut and heliotrope as two prominent notes. It has potential. To me Kirke is a forgettable scent, if it wasn't for the hype. This one is much more memorable. Performance is at question, but it's not cologne level, it's just OK

I got a sample of this when I ordered Gossip Night....I like it. It kind of reminds me of a less sweet/creamy version of GN. A little more floral on my skin. It's giving me very feminine Spring/Summer day vibes. This is also giving me that daytime wearing a sundress/delicate, approachable, girly vibe. Not sure I will purchase it because it does remind me a little of GN, but it's def nice for sure. Like GN, it smells strong, but sits close to the skin. I would def suggest spraying this on both skin and clothes for projection.

Seemingly simple (or deceptively simple?) but a happy fragrance that I feel is actually expertly blended. Admittedly I haven’t tried the original Tutu yet so can’t compare. It’s sweet and spunky and has a bubblegum quality to it but the jasmine and heliotrope save this from going too juvenile. Surprised by how much I like this. I’d say it’s relatively blind but safe but at the same I think many people wouldn’t be able to predict what this smells like judging by the notes alone.

A polished and polite creamy raspberry musk scent. The initial sparkling tartness of the fruity top notes are balanced well with the sweeter milky coconut. Then quite quickly the delicious bottom notes round out this soft fruity powdery-ness. I don’t pick up on the floral mid notes at all. Tutu Blanc is gentle and classy for a fruity fragrance. Such a refreshing change from the fruitchouli bombs that are everywhere.

a very pleasant coconut, perfect for the beach! edit: tried this on my mom since i thought it was something she would like, and she didn't get coconut at all, which was surprising to me since that's all i got when i tried it on... but i was right, she loves it :3 it developed beautifully on her skin, sweet in a way that's not nauseating, a little creamy but with the fruit notes to balance it out

No one has said it so I’ll be the first. This is very similar to bond no 9 Madison Ave. The only difference is the heliotrope, coconut which I don’t get much of & the base notes. Other than that they give the same vibe. That vibe is “clean girl”. This is a very easy reach non offensive everyday scent. It’s very pretty.

I wish the delicate perfumes from Gritti (Tutu and Adele) like this one had more sillage and staying power. The scent disappears on the skin in less than an hour. The bottles are beautiful, and the scents have a lot of promise, but reformulation, perhaps an oil option, would improve their staying power.

Tutu is my favourite perfume, Tutu Blanc is a firm favourite too but there’s something in here that’s smoky that I don’t detect in tutu which makes it less enjoyable.

Reminds me of Coconut Cove by Skylar but more musk and the coconut acts as a top note here! Very nice

Tutù Blanc aims to create a brighter, more delicate version of the original - an ode to femininity as the marketing goes. Primarily, this scent is dominated by the stark contrast of coconut and apple. The coconut is dry and nutty, whilst the apple is juicy and refreshing. The juicy aspect is heightened through an array of other fruits such as blackcurrant, grapefruit and raspberry, whilst the dry sweetness keeps up thanks to vanilla and musk. This is a pleasant and refreshing scent but I wouldn’t say it’s anything groundbreaking. There seems to be a reoccurring theme in Gritti’s White Collection - and that is the contrast of sweet, juicy fruits with a base of sweet vanilla and musk. To be fair this does smell pleasant, but I find it very forgettable.

This fragrance is very fruity from the opening to the dry down. While the coconut note is shown as in the opening, I don't really get a coconut scent at all. Rather, it smooths out the fruits a bit so they do not go in a tart direction. To me, this is blackcurrant and raspberry forward. It sits close to the skin as an extrait would do, though this is supposed to be an Eau de Parfum. I find it much heavier, so keep this in mind if you're looking into getting it. I personally do not enjoy the amber dry down. It is reminiscent to me of Erba Pura, where the dry down screams amber. I don't personally enjoy this. I do not hate it, but I haven't found total love for it either. It's a good fragrance, but not distinct enough to be a love.

A very creamy fruity musky perfume. Tutu Blanc, more like Tutu Bland

*This is just another perspective, it’s not law.* Very faint green apple and pissy black currant which I’ve never experienced, but now I understand when folks say it. It’s very faint however, so that note doesn’t cause an adverse reaction. The top transforms into a simple but true sunscreen scent. Like the literal coconut sunscreen thing in Mancera Holidays but with less salt, a sharp musk and an added medicinal raspberry. It gets a tad better, avoiding the dislike mark, and creamier as it dries down but still retains its sunscreen accord. Lasts like 5 hours, but thankfully the projection is poor. I wanted to like this so bad because of the name. Maybe I’ll try the original Tutu if it ever becomes available in the US.

It smelled bad... but I genuinely can’t compare it to anything else. It’s uniquely bad. Strange and confusing from start to finish.

I'm getting a luxurious sunscreen vibe on me....the type that costs a really pretty penny. It's giving Clean, fluffy, fruity, creamy, spring time, or summer beach sunsets. It's so beautiful. Almost reminds me of how another 13 radiates off me. Its as if this is just how a Beautiful womans skin naturally smells like. To my dismay, the scent dies down relatively quicker than expected. Its still there kinda but at this point am i even imagining that its still there? I dunno. I feel like Not even 15 minutes of reapplying my sample to skin and its gone again. 😪 that was quick. I can't spend an arm and a leg just to smell amazing for 15 minutes unfortunately and I don't want people to stand inches close to me just to smell it either. Oh well. 😆 it was pretty while it lasted. Scent: 10/10 it's so freaking prettyyyyy. Longevity 2/10 really sad Sillage: 1/10 crying rn. Verdict: will admire from afar but will not buy. Edit: surprisingly it's still on my arm after having to apply half of my sample though. 🙃 it's definitely a skin scent but longevity seems like it would be better if I had a full bottle.

I was about to give up on this house! Tutu Blanc is bubble gum princess in the best way possible. It's super creamy, floral, and cloudy. The fruitiness reminds me of artificial bubble gum flavors from the 90s and 2000s. I thought this would be subtle and clean enough for the gym but I was wrong. It gets stronger as you sweat. By the end of my session I was getting a headache. I like my perfumes to be an intimate thing because I get a headache from myself otherwise. I don't know why people are saying there is no longevity. Summer perfumes should never be beast fragrances in my opinion. While I love the scent, I cannot get a bottle of this because it makes my head hurt and I wouldn't wear it outside of summer. Tutu Blanc is definitely a heavy hitter for summer - I can't really see anyone wearing this in colder weather. All in all, it's very nostalgic, reminiscent of a 90s shower gel/body spray, artificially flavored candy, feminine leaning, lasts 6 hours or more to my nose

Comparison review Tutu OG vs Blanc So I love the OG tutu but there is something in the dry down to me that is firmly ‘rubber gloves’ or ‘wax’ scented that I’ve noticed develops over time. I don’t like it when I catch my own scent bubble sometimes and that’s a huge disappointment. I was tempted to see if Tutu Blanc as a flanker might compensate for this and I think the stronger black currant note does remove the ‘rubbery waxy’ notes. I actually watched a YT video comparing the OG to Blanc and the reviewer and most commenters said they preferred Blanc. Owning both now I have to agree... The opening for this is harsh and not as beautiful as OG tutu but the longevity and overall scent on dry down is better. It definitely has more acid likely from amped up grapefruit too. This is a classy and sophisticated fragrance that has fruity and musky vibes. Office safe. Not blind but safe, it’s definitely more niche. Verdict: Blanc > tutu 8/10

It's a YES for me! This smells good - it has a light texture; it's not a beast mode fragrance AT ALL! I would call it an intimate fragrance, not necessarily a skin scent though b/c even as I move around, in my current dry and winter environment, I can still get light, beautiful whiffs of Tutu' Blanc coming from the single test/wear spray on my arm. There is a delicious and creamy, fruity mingling in this fragrance. My nose grabs at the milkiness of the coconut, the dark berry accord from the black current, and the light sweetness of the raspberry...it's yummy, it's good! There's fruit, but I don't feel like it's juvenile fruity. As well there is "sweet," but it doesn't feel like cheap and childish sweet.

This is pretty. To me it’s a clean girl spring/ summer, amber fragrance. However, I’m very sensitive to amber, and my nose always picks it up immediately, so don’t get too stuck trying to wrap your brain around reading clean, summer, and amber in the same sentence lol. You can wear it in the winter, but it’s not dense and very dainty so can have trouble cutting through the frigid winter air. It’s pretty unique, as I have nothing in my vast collection to even try to compare it to. It’s not beast mode, but I caught whiffs of her on my clothing even the next day. She gives quiet luxury & soft girl energy. This can be worn to the office or dressed down its a perfect everyday scent! I really like this

This is another one that wasn’t what I expected. By the notes, I was ready for sweet and light and fruity. On me, I got pretty much straight florals and musk. And almost zero longevity. I put a healthy dose on skin maybe an hour ago and I can’t smell it at all now. But I really do want one of those bottles on my shelf one day. It just won’t be this one.

Smells nice for a few minutes, and then it's just gone. I first tried it on a test strip, and 10 minutes after spraying this fragrance all but disappeared completely. I'm sure it's nice, but I have no idea what it is even supposed to smell like after the opening.

Fantastic for summer. Coconut clean fruit!!! Love it! Longevity great on me and sillage comes in close to skin (reviewer below said dry down is quick and they are right) Imagine Bali having a beautiful sunset dinner! My kinda a scent!

this smelled like an over the top artificial fruity / coconut hairspray. overpowering & cough inducing. i was hoping for a gentle, creamy, and sweet fruity - coconut gourmand. didn’t get that at all, not a fan.

I got a sample from Lucky Scent which were those tiny dabber samples that I don't really like. You can't really give it a proper wear test. But to me this smells like Mancera Holidays when it fully dries down.

Very fruity. Tropical fruits galore, a little bit similar to Erba Pura but much more airy and somewhat diluted. Girly and relaxed.

the drydown sadly turns rancid on my skin- a far cry from the opening's lovely yet overdone 2000's lipgloss nostalgia.

This is fruity, powdery, and musky. It's sooo good!
