You're So Vain

Whilst Nishane Hacivat and Cedrat Boise Intense are my preferred ‘Aventus’ dupes this, performance wise is another better alternative to Creeds benchmark. With a woodier dry down than it’s competition (which is not what I prefer over Aventus) it’s price and quality brings it in third place over the above mentioned ironically making Aventus Amy fourth choice lol

On paper, a dance of Aventus and green accords. On skin, it transforms into something richer. Hacivat kissed with tobacco and a abit chocolate-y(?) to my nose. Unexpected. Sophisticated. Utterly unique within its fragrance DNA. 10/10! 100% Unisex. Exceptional longevity 8+ hours on my skin.

It's a aventus type of cologne and the smell is great I love it there's one thing that I Don't like about the fragrance (the longevity is bad) Smell 10/10 Longevity 6/10 Performance 5/10 The longevity is not woth the price

Fruity, green, zingy, masculine, classy. This italian fragrance will get you compliments.

My thoughts without looking at notes/pyramid/accords: Sweet men's aromatic upon first spray in the air. Getting mild Aventus hints. I take that back, it has some other type of fruit, but it has an Aventus-like profile with a sweet fruity top backed by other tones. Up-close I think I'm getting papaya or something tropical. As it dries, comparability to original Aventus kind-of fades. Greener tones are starting to pop, and the more time you give it, the more it becomes a green-citrusy skin scent. General profile I'm going with fruity-green-aromatic-sweet-citrus. After pyramid and accords: Looking at what others have suggested, perhaps it sits somewhere between Hacivat and Cedrat Boise, at least at the open. "You're so Vain" doesn't really do anything unique. After like 10 minutes I'm already left thinking poor performance. €235 for 100ml... just buy Hacivat or Morning Chess (we aren't supporting Creed due to product inconsistency).

Admittedly drawn to sample this because I love Carly SImon and You're So Vain is one of my favorite songs. Very green, kitchen-y, with fruit present throughout to keep it from smelling too herbal. It's a bit mature, and I expected something more explicitly masculine based off of the name. Smells similar to Aventus and I think it's a great option for those who don't like the aggressive projection most masculine scents have.

“You’re so vain” - yes, Luca Gritti, you are vain to think anyone should buy your half-assed Aventus clone at an exorbitant price. What’s the thinking here? If you want an Aventus clone, you can get Club de Nuit for £25, why would anyone buy this? It doesn’t even try to hide its Aventus-based bodywork, it’s like badly copied homework. It’s got all the elements of Aventus: clean woody musks, bright citrus and juicy blackcurrant, and yet it smells less refreshing than the Creed. It’s denser, more cloying and far inferior. It smells pleasant, of course it does, because Aventus smells good. If you’re prepared to spend money on this scent profile, the original does it best. There is no need for this to exist.

Just another Aventus clone with a bit of grapefruit added to it in the opening which lasts about a minute.

Cannot wait to get my hands on this perfume! The notes sound amazing! I think it would be right up my alley... I absolutely adore You're so Vain song by Carly Simon. I hope Ms. Simon will get some sort of 'residuals'/'commission' - for each bottle sold! Kidding... but not really. Personally, I'd buy this fragrance because I love Ms. Carly... and they are not even mentioning her song as inspiration. Hmm... That's not right. Give credit where credit is due!!!! Great... yet shady marketing move...

Lol someone said poor performance. This lasts just as long as hacivat. Great aventus dupe, but with black currant on top instead of pineapple. Lasts over 7 hours. As a fruit forward scent it's projection and longevity are great. Literally don't get cumin at all, so really no clue what the people below me are talking about. Fyi this is am exrait, so comps to Hermes or cedrat Boise are not accurate

Aventus with a fruitier open and better performance that somehow dries to a leathery base. Would have been an interesting proposition like 6 years ago. Not a bad choice to fill a need for that sort of thing if you found it at a very deep discount or something. Claims of cumin further down in the reviews are crazy. Maybe that would have actually made this interesting.

oh this is gawd awful stuff. I couldn't wait to wash it off, then it wouldn't come off, like a tattoo I lived with it for hours. Zero percent Sexy. it made my head hurt and stomach turn. How can the same brand that made beauties like Gossip Night and Because I'm Free also make this? If you like an acrid citrus patchouli bomb, this is for you.

Fruity and aromatic. It reminds me of Aventus for her, mixed with Aventus for him. With a slightly greener undertone. Nice, but I already have Aventus for her.

opening is grapefruit, sandalwood and lemon. Then comes the kitchen part: cumin. Like a mix of Hermes Eau de Citron Noir and cumin.

It has that JHAG chemical that smells like ammonia. Very masculine, generic, sharp. Not good.
