A Nocturnal Whisper Perfume Oil

In the collection 'The garden of the alchemist' Oil version, ode to melancholy is no longer available. I was intrigued by this name, whose subjects correspond to my favorites. So I chose this night murmur, filled with sweetness and poetry. This time it is the leather with the saffran accompanied by incense scrolls against the background of Oud whose oil makes its name wonderfully. The idea of including the glass applicator like Arab perfumery is daring for this very commercial house. Admittedly, this range is of a higher level whose choice of Alberto Morillas is no coincidence. The Atkinsons house, with its Mystic Essence collection, had released in its time some perfumes in this format of oils, which I have Oud Save the Queen. With this method, we perfume ourselves with details, the perfume is just deposited by applying the glass rod behind the ears and on the neck by small touches, instead of receiving an often clumsy wavy with sprays except for people who flavor the clothes, yes I say the clothes, by them. But now, the Prays broadcasts the alcohol in which the oil is there but only it is not feasible. A shame that other brands do not offer this means, just to revive the pleasure and the art of perfuming. It is therefore a real pleasure for me with this perfume. The oud here must be that of Laos, already used by Morillas for its original Oud to mizensify accompanied by a sumptuous geranium, and which I find here this lightness surrounded by saffron, giving this impression of leather. The outfit is very good and the wake is light, as its name suggests, since this perfume is not intended to attract attention but to seduce the one who carries it and not strike a very little receptive entourage in the OUD in general. And moreover, a very beautiful collector's room, with its glass bottle dressed in its silk pocket, in a pretty box and all with green and gold green colors.

Gucci is sinking.... who do you caaaalll??? Ghost-bust....No..... AL-BERTOOOO! Yep. After 10 years of creative desert (with the excpetion of the great Gucci Intense Oud) in the fragrance department, Gucci woke up 2 years ago by calling Alberto Morillas to save the ship. This started with the non-mainstream beautiful Gucci Guilty Absolute. (even if probably highly inspired by Terenzi Ursa, released a couple of years before..) Now, Gucci wants to capture value by launching is high-end line to compete with Armani Prive, Dior La Collection, Tom Ford Private Blend & co... Well... I would suggest: keep cool Gucci. One can not go "dalle stalle alle stelle" from one day to another... (an italian expression litterally meaning "from the stables to the stars") That said, I have to say I tested a couple of their Alchemist's Garden line, and these where very nice blends. This oud oil is a beautiful oud-centered fragrance, made with real oud oil (from Thailand I would guess). Will I buy it? At $415 (for just 0.5oz) retail, that's simply a no. If I was rich, would I buy it? No, because while it is well blended, it is not unique and thus not worth it. If I had to spend $400 on a fragrance, I would choose a couple of beautiful and really unique niche fragrances for that price, or just double the $ amount to get Frederic Malle The Night (at $900/1.7oz, it ends being less $/ml, and it's much more potent - need just one spray, will last much longer- and unique). I have the felling here that what the price counts is the unicity ( of the beautiful old style bottle - personally I care about the juice, not the bottle or label). Far from a whisper, this is a quite intense take on an oud/leather-combi. I'm not a fan of oud in general, but this is very well blended with a hint of sweetnes from the saffron and benzoin. Imagine one of them andalusian equestrian clubs with polished leather saddles, elegant horsemen and the finest breed of horses. It sure smells lavish and the bottles in the collection are very beautiful, yet I don't find it distinctive enough to warrant such an exorbitant price.

Oh shit- this is straight gasoline smelling (in a good way, of course). I received this as a gift from a friend, but I do not think I'd ever purchase it myself, and certainly not for that retail price. However- for what it is, you get amazing quality ingredients and an absolutely gorgeously decorated bottle and glass dropper applicator attached to the cap.

At the opening this is a blast of leather, which softens up very nicely. I found the dry-down to be largely woods, with a slight leather in the background. It's blended very nicely. However, to me this DNA isn't anything new, and certainly doesn't warrant the price tag. Although, the bottles are stunning.

Beautiful skin scent, nice balance of leather, real oud, spicy saffron and slightly sweet benzoin. I’d never buy it at retail price, discounted yes, I blind bought it heavily discounted and I must say that yes it has real oud, not the best quality oud but nonetheless real oud. This perfumed oil is way better than all the other trash Gucci has offered before so I’m very impressed and happy with the way they’ve gone with Alberto Morilla. It leans more masculine than unisex because of the heavy oud presence but if you like pungent, daring, leathery scents this will provide a nice backbone for layering. BTW this ain’t no whisper.

So I dabbed Nocturnal Whisper at Dubai airport while waiting for my flight. The heady incensy dark notes just hit me straight in the heart and I was in lust. I nearly fainted when I heard the price so it was a pass. But unfortunately I couldn't forget it on returning back to London and as the days passed I couldn't forget that intense love that literally mesmerised me as did the beautiful enchanted bottle and name. So I bought it and we have been in love ever since. I've layered it with A Reason To Love since the perfume oils can layered... And well that burning love has just become eternal.

The new Gucci Alchemist's Garden collection just ticks all the right boxes. The naming, the flacon, the color, the mood... Very traditional and Italian/English. Perfetto, Alessandro Michele! Bye Vuitton! -AB-

Can someone help me? I own voice of the snake, is this redundant? The notes seem so similar. But I love voice of the snake it makes me want to branch out and acquire this as well

Im totally in love with this one! Can I hear some advices about where to put it and how much? The main target is to smell this masterpiece nearly all day long
