Flora by Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia

This smells absolutely delicious. It is impossible to dislike this perfume. It is one of my new found favs. I have tested this many times before -but usually I have tested this on my clothing while out shopping along with about 30 other fragrances so for that reason it didnt shine or stand out to me for a while maybe it was overpowered by all the others. However a lady sat infront of me on public transport the other week and she smelt divine- i was so tempted to ask her what it was she was wearing as it smelt vaguely familiar-then it came to me like a lightbulb that it was gucci gardenia- so to cut a long story short i ended up buying this diamond that same day- luckily it was payday haha! Anyway, ever since, i have been using this perfume for work along with special occassions- it is so fresh and fruity and somewhat aquatic also. It is such a beautiful fragrance to me. Pear being my favourite note- it is especially delicious- all pear lovers must purchase this! It makes me feel romantic spiritual optimistic and hopeful for the future- it is such a springy positive uplifting fragrance. I smell some slight tuberose in this too along with cranberry. I simply love it- it might be the pear bias- i dont know but this perfume is beautiful to me- it is in one of my top 5. scent- 9/10 lasting time- 6.5/10 radiates-7/10 Packaging=7.5/10 Truly beautiful romantic spiritual hopeful inspiring scent. Wouldn't say this one is directed towards young girls infact I would say it is more aimed at middle aged women. But it is beautiful for any age because it is beautifully blended and gorgeous. It epitomizes femininity. Not that familiar to La fleur- only on first spritz the dry down is completely different. This lasts much longer and has better silage than la fleur and smells more floral and aquatic and is for an older audience.

I am completely and madly head over heels with this fragrance! I haven't bought this yet so maybe I should refrain from writing a review but I have sprayed it on in quite generous amounts on several occasions and the result after each time is me sniffing my wrists like a madwoman until it fades. I'm really bad at describing scents and to be honest I don't even know what most of the notes are supposed to smell like. But I can tell you the scents I can't smell. First of all the pear is really non-existant to my nose, and luckily so since I deteste everything pear especially the synthetic kind you find in fragrances. I also wouldn't describe this scent as sugary, sweet yes but my mind doesn't go to sugar, more like fruit. The floral part is beautifully done and very light. It brings my mind to white flowers maybe light pinkish ones which I adore because it gives the scent a very feminine touch without becoming old and headache inducing which most florals do. The overall impression is quite sweet, fruity and summery yet not overly so like say the Escada summer perfumes. It's sweet and succulent and also refreshing more like a summer garden full of ripe fruits and flowers during nightfall when the air begins to cool then a tropical beach under a soaring sun. It's just the perfect fragrance and even some of my male friends that hate almost all perfumes really like this! This review actually prompted me to order it even with the steep price and I can't wait for my new Holy Grail perfume to arrive!

If this scent was a lady she'd be: elegant,composed, always polite never rude,stylish and sophisticated, and is the epitome of a sweetheart. The kind of lady everyone loves and wants to be, She has that classic beauty e.g Kate Middleton, Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn. So the hunt began. In Debenhams I find this little beauty, 10-15% off its original price of approx £75,(approx $120-$125) paid like £65 (approx $106) for a 100ml bottle, (3.4 ounce); I was sold could not resist. It has a subtle sweetness I've never come across like it before, maybe because I'm used to a sweetness of Britney Spears Fantasy range. Subtle sexy classy, feminine, just what I wanted and needed for stage I'm at in my life. I've never gotten so many compliments wearing a perfume as I have with GGG. It is sweet, but it is a grown up subtle sexy sweetness, not cloying at all. Very versatile scent, easily could be worn: to work, to class, cosy night in, on a night out or on a romantic date. It is a 'close to skin scent', but that is what makes it sexy, because it isn't so evident and out there like a lot of scents out on market. out of 10, (for favourites): easily a 15-20, I love it , it's my new signature scent.

What can I say? I couldn't believe in my nose! I am not a huge fan of Gucci perfumes although I found them great for the youth and not good enough due to their lasting power. This perfume smells exactly like my first signature, Viva la Juicy La Fleur from Juicy Couture. I was so scared that my signature will be discontinued as it's hard to find in a Juicy Couture stand anymore, but now...who cares? Delicious red berries, sheer and light white florals (gardenia actually), pear? Hmmm what about patchouli that I can't detect and frangipani that I am not familiar with? All I know is what I said. I should have been angry because of the copy of my favorite perfume, but to be honest can't wait to try it on my skin and examine it more. I thought I wouldn't write a lot, but what I want to mention is that maybe I am growing, I am changing my taste in perfumes and why not try a similar one with a bit different notes? It's not scary, I wished that I will never change, but it's natural and maybe I like it. Romantic, young, sheer, flirty, tender, fresh, playful, this is Gorgeous Gardenia Flora by Gucci!

This is my first love in a perfume, can't remember ever loving a perfume before this (like your first boyfriend/girlfriend), and it has to be the first proper, grown up perfume I owned as well. I convinced myself I needed it as the number of times I would regularly go into Boots to spray it on myself before owning was actually rediculous haha. In terms of the smell, it's fruity and contains another scent I cannot detect apart from the pear/apple (guessing it's the gardenia or patchouli as I have no idea what they smell like?). For an EDT, the lasting power is amazing. This lasts pretty much all day for me. I'm still in love after having this for 1/2 years with the classy, clear hexagonal bottle and the feminime pink perfume liquid. The bow under the spray is cute too, but gets annoying as when you pull the lid off, it can take the bow off as well. EDIT: Rang out of this at the end of the summer and I NEED IT SO BADLY, this juice really is gorgeous. Since it's on sale at Boots and Debenhams, it's making me want to justify buying it when I already have enough perfumes :/

I remember being so exited the day this came out. I love gardenias, the look of them, the smell of them, everything about them. My all time favourite flower in general. Gardenias were also the main flower used in my wedding bouquet!) Being a scent called gorgeous gardenia I was expecting to be overwhelmed with a gardenia scent straight up, but when I smelt it, I don’t remember the gardenia being particularly specific and it being quite faint a smell. Although smelling it now, a few years later, it seems a lot nicer than I remembered (maybe the gardenia is more noticeable in summer?) I’ll be noting this because wearing it now in summertime I remember the gardenia smell standing out a lot more, although it still has quite low lasting power and sillage. I feel like the name gorgeous gardenia (while I take the term ‘huge overstatement’ back) is is still a bit of an overstatement. But it doesn’t mean it’s not one of my favourite summer scents for those days you are opting for a light scent. Still a beautiful spring and summer option.

This is a such a beautiful sent! It’s floral, fruity sweet but fresh. It opens up with sharp flower. The sharpness smell might come from a laundry sent, like freshly washed cotton but it’s probably the red berries. This is what makes it special and not a normal fruity, floral sent. Then under that you smell the fruit, a sweet fruit. The sweetness isn’t overwhelming, but it’s there. It calms down in a sweet, warm sent but it still has that fresh berries somewhere. If this were a woman I would see a fashionable one with a minimalistic but girly style, she doesn’t scream for attention but everyone recognise her sweetness and she’s impossible to not like. Something about her is like almost magnetic, it’s something that you can’t find anywhere and is impossible to let go of. This is indeed a special sent, the red berries is so enchanting and reacts beautiful with the fruity florals. My 2 go 2 and all time favourite. Easy wear and not heavy. But still last 6-8 hours. Recommend this to everyone!

Not a gardenia fragrance, but still a good one. GG is the first perfume I loved and purchased, and to put it frankly, I got bored after a few times wearing this, so fruity, so sweet and girly, like flowers soaked in sugar, still like it but not me at all; so I just put it in the corner and forget about it. When I came home one day, bringing a few paper tester for my mum and asked if she liked those. To my surprise, she asked me why I didn't wear GG anymore? It smells so good on me and it's the scent that she loved most. So that's why I come back to gorgeous gardenia. And fell in love with it again. So subtle, so fresh and lovely. Gorgeous Gardenia is a young quiet pretty girl, not loud or stand out from the rest, but still a lovely friend that you can count on. This is the one that I will always reach out when I don't know what to wear. GG would never be my signature scent, but always be a must-have in my perfume collection.

This is a perfect day fragrance. People mostly seem to wear it for spring and summer but I have also used it during winter. This is a beautiful floral scent. There are some scents that when you put them on, calm you down. but this perfume just gives me that boost of confidence when i put it on in the morning when getting ready. this is a perfect scent for when you need that extra bit of confidence touch after putting your make up and outfit on. the bottle is finished now but there is still some fragrance scent left that gives me so much memories related to this beautiful scent. Definitely a scent for young girls. its not too sickly sweet or citrus. just perfect sweet floral scent. it is worth a buy for trying out or even collecting. i am very likely to buy it again just so i have this with me for whenever i miss this scent. i still have the bottle and the box with the design.

It starts very pleasantly, with sweet notes, suitable for a sweet girl. However, after some time, on my skin it develops into very subtle, ladylike scent, perfect for a young lady. Moreover, base note is really magic, delicate sugary patchouli. I will definitely add this fragrance into my 'want list':) Update: I've tested it again today and I am deeply impressed. What a charming scent! I am in love with it. Update2: I've tested it once more to check if it is not too sweet in high temperatures. Happily, it is not! However, patchouli can be really intoxicating in warm environment, so it is important not to over-spray in hot summer. Update3: final test in mid summer: it smells like a blooming garden! Awesome. Update4: I've bought it and I have to say that it smells good either in high or low temperature. It is suitable for all seasons. Rare feature.

I consider this one of my top 10. It is an absolutely gorgeous, ultra-feminine, gentle perfume. In my opinion, anyone not liking this should stay away from perfumes, period, I mean, what is not to like? Sweet, floral, fresh, all at the same time, absolutely stunning. I was not a big fan of the original Flora, because of the weird dry down after a few hours, but I was wearing it religiously because my husband gifted it to me. However, GGG is a stunner. It stays on me for about 10 hours, good projection as well, I think Gucci fumes in general love my skin, or my skin loves Gucci, whichever way it may actually work. And, whoever is voting that this smells like Viva La Juicy, you have problems. VLJ is so cloying and thick that it is almost unwearable for anyone over 20, not to mention that they do not smell anything alike. People are weird.

I posted a review quite a while ago., just wanted to update review. I still really like this perfume. I can't say I know what gardenia smells like but there's a floral element to this perfume, it's softly sweet. This isn't candy sweet like Britney Spears' Fantasy range, this is a natural sweetness. I definitely smell frangipani, juicy sweet pear and a tiny hint of patchouli. I don't get any berry notes at all. I still stand by in saying this perfume is elegant & classy. It doesn't shout, scream or yell, but rather softly whispers or hugs. Perfect all year round, in any situation: work, night in/out, date day/night or just in general chilling at home ect. I don't think this will offend anyone. Will I repurchase once my bottles used up?... absolutely without hesitation, this really is a classy beautiful perfume.

Do you remember in 'Sex and the City' when Carrie see the shoes she covets in the store window and says "Hello Lover.." ??? This is the exact reaction I have every time I see this bottle. I love the bottle, I love the bow, I love the pretty pink juice color...and I LOVE this scent. I have a lot of trouble with floral sometimes and had thought Gardenia may be one of my trigger flowers. But for whatever reason on my skin I get hardly any Gardenia at all. I love that it's a sweet floral as opposed to a powdery one which I cannot handle. I love that it's fruity. I LOVE the way I feel wearing this scent. Happy the instant I smell it. It seems to last on me well. If you have trouble with florals you should give this one a sniff. Not offensive to me at all and my nose is SO sensitive.

This was a great find as I could have easily missed it with all the other Gucci Flora's as I felt to be honest a bit tired of the line as they all seemed the same and a bit too safe to grab my interest. I have had Gucci Flora in the past (the original one) but found that while it is lovely and nice it just was a bit generic (in a good way!). So a sales lady showed me Gorgeous Gardinia and it struck me as having that lovely Flora vibe but added that missing element that made it more interesting to me. Something to note is that it is not too strong on the gardenia so don't let that put you off. It is really nice, the pear, frangipani and berry accords really make this something special. It is definitely my favorite of the line. Recommended.

I just spent a gorgeous weekend in Miami - warm sea breeze, tropical turquoise water, enchanting orchids, plumeria and jasmine growing on every block, but what struck me most was the scent hanging in the air and projecting from the beautiful ladies on the beach. It was sweet yet fresh with a slight crispness. At the airport DutyFree, I looked for a fragrance that would remind me of my Miami holiday, and this is the one I found. All of the scents of the beach, the sea, and the city seem to meld together into this harmony of a fragrance. You can smell the flowers growing on the sidewalk, the beautiful people walking by, the crispness of the sea breeze, and the warmth of the Miami air. Beautiful beautiful fragrance

I thought this would have been classified as a floral-fruity-gourmand with more sweet notes listed! Wow, this is delicious. I'm detecting marshmallow similar to the one in "Ari" by Ariana Grande (sweet but not a toothache). I'm reviewing the EDT, it's very light, bright and sweet with mild-to-moderate sillage and longevity. I think this would be a safe choice for someone who would like to get into gardenia scents but doesn't want anything headache-inducing or offensive. Honestly I wouldn't have even guessed that "Gardenia" would be in the name of the fragrance. I'm personally all for a loud white floral but I'd wear this any day! Sweet and delectable, would be good for spring, summer, day or night, any age.

To many odd reviews of this perfume here, I don’t recognize the descriptions in my fragrance! I just post my review about the special edition 2020 purple bottle here as the perfume is the same (only bottles differ): I can just say that the more perfumes I collect, the more enamored I feel with this particular one 🥰 It is so so so uplifting with the beautiful gardenia, just enough of juicy sweetness (never ever cloying), more from a juicy pear than red berries to my nose, and great staying power! It doesn’t loose it’s freshness! It is spring in a bottle 🌸🍐🌸🍐🌸and it is forever etched in my olfactory memory (despite having 30+ other great perfumes at the moment).

I completely agree the opening of this smells ALOT like Viva La Juicy without the caramel dry down. Viva La Juicy has a strong caramel dry down which, in my opinion, makes it perfect for year round wear... BUT this fragrance has the sweet dry down of gardenias and sugar which makes it perfect for spring and summer wear. It is definitely more "sophisticated" than Juicy... This fragrance also has the stronger floral fragrance which triggers headaches for me. For this reason I will stick with Juicy because the sweet caramels water down the florals making it more bare able for my head. However, I do love both of these! Just wish I didnt get the headaches!

ahh i miss pre-reformulation gorgeous gardenia so much :( i've been wearing this since i was a teenager (15 i think?) and it was my signature scent, floral but sweet and a bit fruity. the pear and berry notes really stood out on the old version. i have purchased the newer version in the pink bottle several times, but when i went back home and smelled my old bottle of this i realized how different they are. they're similar enough that you can tell they're supposed to be the same fragrance, but the newer version is much less fruity and fresh... it feels a bit more mature to me, which is maybe fitting bc i'm 23 now lol, but it's still a bit disappointing

I smelled this in Nordstrom a few months ago and it's really beautiful. The scent is really sophisticated, definitely my favorite in the line. I don't own it because it's incredibly expensive, but if the price goes down drastically, I'll definitely buy it. It's very soft, romantic, and feminine. It's much more interesting than the others in the line that I smelled. Unfortunately it's an eau de toilette, so it probably doesn't last very long, which is ridiculous considering the price. I still definitely recommend it if you can afford it!

First when I smelled Gucci gorgeous gardenia while I through the mall I thought this is the same scent as Viva la juicy that I have and I didn't buy it because I have no reason to afford for the same scent. But one day I got a sample, sprayed it on my skin and found that they are different. I think Viva la juicy is more bright and sweet but Gucci gorgeous is more flora, relaxed and have a hints of elegant. Finally I bought Gucci gorgeous and fell in love with. I always wear it when I want to feel comforted. Happy scent for me. ❤

The combination in this is beautiful! On my skin this fragrance stays sweet the whole time, but doesn't get sticky or cloying. There is a certain maturity about it's sweetness - and that makes it stand out. The aroma stays mostly the same from beginning to drydown and doesn't cahnge much. I do however feel that this is not quite a perfume for young girls - it is more for a grown up woman and someone who wants to be taken more seriously. Sillage is good on me and longevity also, but you have to be careful not to overspray.

It's very fresh...? I don't know how to describe perfumes since my nose isn't that accurate compared to everyone here but this is a very nice and clean scent. It reminds of nearly the end of highschool where girls are beginning to pay more attention to themselves and their scents. when I smelled this, it reminds me of a older female classmate that I admired who's very proper...if that make any sense. Just a very clean and simple scent, perfect for anyone who's just starting to get into perfumes.

really really fresh sweet fruity note for the opening. pear note is last more than an hour on my hands. and then gardenia and frangipani take parts make it flowery all around. what i get for top to bottom are pear and gardenia. i am not really happy with the longevity. it's doesn't last on my skin. i have to replenish it twice. the good news is, it is very wearable and suitable for daily perfume. teenagers definitely love the scent. overall, it was pleasant, very safe scent and nice gardenia.

Oh what a gorgeous fresh strong gardenia! It's so beautiful! I love it so much. It's completely stunning! It's totally heavenly! The gardenia is so strong and pure! Elevating! So fresh! So alive! It's truly a great perfume! So few notes, and yet SO powerful! The blend is perfect - everything works together to make it a masterpiece!!! GORGEOUS!!! I would love to DROWN in it! I can't get enough of it, it's so tantalising! So delicious! Lasts for absolutely ages too; and great sillage!

Much much better than the Viva La Juicy ones;alot more intense, more depth, silage is fantastic, staying power is superb. It smells divine. Id say its the grown up version of the Viva la juicy la fleur which I don't care for anymore. This is a fragrance for 25+ women who love a rich fruity white floral that smells expensive and not cheap or teenish. I use it on date nights or evening walks on the beach. The price is "assgrabbing" aka abit high but its so worth it.

Iam really spruced I like this one, this perfume was a gift. A once I smelt it from the bottle I thought I wasn’t going to like it. I am not the flora, flowery type at all But once I got it on my skin. I loved it! I think it has a powdery touch to it. French and feminine. A bit girly, but not too girly. I am more into seductive perfumes, I can not say this is seductive. But still like it. Perfect to were with your flowery dress on a hot summer day

Gorgeous Gardenia is definitely an instant love for me. Been eye-ing this for quite a while and I am happy I finally made my purchase today. I normally wouldn't really settle for floral perfume but this is just too pleasant to resist. It is not overwhelming with a balance of fruity freshness to it. Love love this one and lasted longer in colder temperature. This is definitely my new daily office scent.

This perfume is unique in my collection. While other of my perfumes remind me of sophistication, grown-women and femininety, the Gorgeous Gardenia reminds me of Tuscany hills, bare knees, citrus trees, reading poetry in the shadow, summer kisses and late night walks in Rome. For some reason this perfume reminds me of a young woman in Europe. Not Italian but in italy. Like in that movie Stealing Beauty!

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GARDENIA!!! Perfectly named perfume. It IS gorgeous! It's SO gorgeous! Gardenia became my favourite flower as soon as I smelled this! Oh I LOVE it! It's heaven! Beautiful! So......gardeniary! What a beautiful scent you have, you gorgeous flower! It was beautifully strong on me all day; lasted till the next morning -that's a good 24hours! Fantastic. THE most heavenly scent!

I love this scent! It is very similar to Viva La Juicy just less sweeter. I've sprayed both of them on my coat and this one has dissapeared wile VLJ is still prominent. This is more floral and fruity but almost the same DNA probably because it's made by the same perfumer? I'm not complaning, Honorine Blanc is a talented perfumer. I would rather buy VLJ for the price and longevity.

This one will always hold a special place in my heart as it's what I wore on my wedding day! I am the first to admit that I don't usually go for floral scents (in fact I despise most floral scents)but this one really surprised me! There is a bit of a fruity tang to it and also a slight sweetness too! Definitely one to try if you find some florals too over powering.

WOW! Don't let the word "gardenia" make you think "white floral" because this is as tame as full-fledged gardenia fragrances are bright. This is a softly sweet, well-blended, floral mix that starts with a pop of fruit. This is a "maybe" on my wedding perfume list. Very nice, pretty and inoffensive. At $100/bottle, it's a bit over-priced though.

Flora Gorgeous Gardenia on me lasts long (7 hours plus) with moderate sillage for 3 hours, an uplifting gardenia/frangipani/red berries combo, sweet but not annoyingly sweet, refreshing, dreamy, makes me think of dew on gardenias, jasmines bushes in a garden with fruit trees nearby. Lovely, can be used in summer and in cool temps also,

If femenine have a name this will perfect to describe it, it sweet, clean , classy, sexy, is powerfull , but no loud!! Is perfect for day or night, I dont like gardenia, and dosent smells like, is a perfect ladish in a bottle, just love it ,,, rOmantic , elegant, femenine,sexy, master piece!! goshhh too much!!

I've just noticed there's patchouli listed as a note. Surprised to say the least as I do not detect this note at all.I am not a patchouli girl...never been never will be. When I think of patchouli I think of TM's Angel, that's honestly vombomb inducing. So happy with this scent beautiful, classy and sexy xx

It smells like your in a milkbath with flowers all over you n some honey in your bath just a bit for some sweetness and then you dropped a tiny bit of patchouli essential oils in your bath . So comforting and kinda yummy ! The pear Is super dominant aswell I love any pear dominant perfume . very pretty

The first time I sprayed Gorgeous Gardenia was like being caught in a fine mist shower of berries, pink petals and pear. Sweet and easy, like sitting outside after everyone has gone in for the night after a long, hot day. This scent is essentially a garden of summer nights in a bottle.

I really like this, but wish it was stronger and lasted longer. Light, pretty, feminine scent. Crisp, fresh, and floral. All the comparisons to Viva La Juicy... must be something to it, but I don't care for Viva, but I love this. Happy Smelling! :)

This is such a pretty light scent. Perfect for summer. In the past perfumes have turn on me, smelling peppery or soapy but tested this one and is just lovely. Husband loves it. now both my 29 and 16 year old daughters wear it too. It is a delight.

I really can't distinguish Gorgeous Gardenia from Viva La Juicy. It's a very nice scent but gives me high school flashbacks because it smells exactly the same to my nose... I wish the gardenia was more prominent to make this scent distinct.

I absolutely agree that it's very similar to Viva La Juicy. Very warm and sweet. The difference is it's more floral and lovely and it lasts longer on my skin. I loved this the most in the Garden collection.

I like this more than the the Gucci Flora. A little sweeter and lighter. I just wish it lasted longer on myself. Packaging is cute and price is reasonable. Perfect for daytime wear or on a date.

Gorgeous scent, love it. Sweet, warm succulent juicy berries and pear. After juicy Noir this is my second fav scent. Only downside is it doesn’t last! I need a stronger version of this

It has Marc Jacobs daisy eau so fresh vibe, but this is maybe more sweet and lasts longer. Very airy, fruity. Just gorgeous.

Juicy red fruits and gentle gardenia, this is a girly and cheerful scent. It makes me happy everytime.

I think Gorgeous Gardenia is completely heaven in a bottle. Such lovely gardenia! Superb.

Smell very badly. Like sugary benzoin or something, very synthetic. Very dissapointed.
