Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense

I'm surprised there are no dark fruits like a berry or other dark notes like amber and patchouli listed. I do see why the magnolia flanker was originally voted as similar since it has those dark notes made in a fun shampoo way. As the intense dries, the hedione musk and sandalwood shine more creating a lightness in here that will work for some parts of spring and fall weather. Lush gardenia was not something I really picked up in the original, but I do pick it up a little more in the Intense and it has a nice sweetness. For the brown sugar, it's not quite the same as the original; imagine berries being cooked and sweetened by brown sugar. As I wear it more, I also get a juicy orange in the opening. Very interesting to see what other people get. Like the original, projection on my skin seems to dissipate into a closer bubble or maybe that's the airy hedione quality, but longevity is better at 6-7 hrs. But that could just be me, since others think differently about performance. For the bottle, I love that you can still see the liquid inside, but the glass color is still dark. This is also the first Gucci fragrance I've felt inclined to add to my collection, that clicks for me. From the line so far, Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Intense is the best, then Gorgeous Magnolia, the Orchid which was a bit underwhelming to me (I now love this as for me it is a less dark, more light airy version of this intense), original Gardenia, and lastly jasmine which I just didn't care for.

I've been on a white floral bender lately...mostly tuberose & gardenia. I've always owned and loved jasmine perfumes, specifically Amouage Portrayal Woman. Someone suggested I try Gucci Flora "Gorgeous Gardenia Intense" and I did. So, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia intense opens with pleasant, strong floral notes, which I suppose are the gardenia accord and hedione. The initial application is strong, white florals. And I detect fruity, or berry notes that I recognize as the mandarin orange accord. The fruity note lifts the fragrance providing a bit of airiness and fizziness to the opening. In very short time, FGGI wears as a tart, super-sugary, uber-sweet, dense floral perfume. Unlike the plethora of current sweet fragrances flooding the perfume market, FGGI has a lovely woody dry~down with a slight smokiness and some orange zest. The drydown is a nice departure from the current trend of super-vanilla, musky, benzoin landings. I switched to "Gorgeous Gardenia" for a bit and found I actually prefer Gorgeous Gardenia Intense. With Gorgeous Gardenia, you have an enormous, super-sweet, dense, brown sugar dry-down. And to my nose, the florals in Gorgeous Gardenia Intense are more pronounced and evident versus the florals in the Gorgeous Gardenia version. While also quite sweet, Gorgeous Gardenia Intense's dry-down is resinous, woody, quite thick, a bit bitter from the orange and a little smoky, which I really appreciate and prefer.

Testing Gorgeous Gardenia Intense from a 1.5 ml Gucci official sample. As someone indifferent to whole Gorgeous line, not just the OG Gorgeous Gardenia, I am quite taken aback by how beautiful this Intense flanker smells like. It’s certainly more rich and deep than the original, and actually smells like a high end designer scent for once. If you’re a fan of white flowers and sandalwood it’s impossible to dislike this. Is it anything groundbreaking though??? No, not at all. But it’s a very beautiful, well blended and balanced scent with a good longevity and moderate sillage. I have bought/tested recently some gardenia dominant fragrances and Gucci’s gardenia perfume does smells different than what I have/sampled. I might be tempted to buy a small bottle of this at some point when the price is dropping significantly because it’s just too expensive for what it is! And personal pet peeve, I don’t like this line’s bottle shape and the cap, I find them looking plasticky and cheap...

After smelling so many intense versions of perfumes that smell nothing like the original, this is truly what I had hoped the intense version of Gorgeous Gardenia would be like-- 100% met my expectations. Gorgeous Gardenia has a fresh and clean undertone alongside the bright fruity florals, and that freshness is totally missing here. BUT as a freshie girlie, I was actually surprised that I didn't miss those facets! This version is less clean and a bit more deep and rich without losing the initial DNA. It is still a sweet, fruity white floral, but the sandalwood gives it a creamy, spicy depth that is really pleasant. I enjoy it so much, and I really would like a full bottle! The sillage is not beast mode but certainly you get a decent scent bubble, and this lasted 4-6 hours on me in a dry climate-- definitely has more throw in humidity! I love this perfume because it is truly just a slightly more intense version of the perfume we all know and love.

Went to test the Flora Gorgeous Orchid and fell in love with this one. To me, it really stands out in the Gorgeous line – it's not artificially sweet but warm and cozy, the sandal is such a great pair for the gardenia-hedione tandem! The mandarine just frames it all, you can smell it on its own only if you really make an effort and I really love it this way. This fragrance is so deep and chic at the same time, I'm obsessed. Bought a 50 ml after testing for 10 minutes which is super fast for me, I usually need to wear for sometime to be 100% sure. The classic Flora Gorgeous Gardenia is lighter and more powdery, comparing to the Intense, a candy-powdery sweetness I'd say and this one – zero powder but woody instead. P.S. Careful if you're scent-sensitive, a microspray would be enough, if overdone could be too loud and headache'y. Still can't stop smelling it from my wrist though 😁

When I smelled it for the first time at the store, I immediately put it on my wishlist, but since it's not a cheap perfume, I wanted to be sure before committing. I purchased a 2 ml sample the other day and, boy, it didn’t let me down. This is such a beautiful fragrance. Don't let the flower design deceive you, this is not ideal for warm spring and summer days. It's a gorgeous woody scent with luscious gardenia. It's deep and moody, a truly well-rounded scent. I would wear this during autumn, winter, and at the beginning of spring, when the days are still a bit cool and cloudy. I would say the projection and longevity are both moderate. It performed nicely on my skin; at night I couldn’t really smell it anymore on my wrists, but I was catching whiffs of it as I moved around (maybe from my clothes). I love this so much, it's such a comforting, yet uplifting scent.

I love the natural fragrance of gardenias, but I've never been a fan of them in a perfume until now. This is not at all what I expected. I was expecting a tropical Hawaiian kind of scent, but instead was provided a deep, rich, warm, almost masculine cologne fragrance, with deep floral sweetness that melts beautifully into the prominent spicy sandalwood. I did not expect the unisex nature of this fragrance, as again, when I think of gardenia perfumes, I think of light, tropical feminine fragrances. Yet, this one stuck out as unique from all the others in my sampler kit, and I kept coming back to it until I finally I realized I needed a full bottle of this. When I want to feel sophisticated and elegant, but approachable, I put this on and I have been really happy about this choice.

This is not a more intense version of the previous flanker. You really smell the gardenia and jasmine and it smells so luxurious. There is a fruitiness that lasts throughout the wear of the fragrance but I get a more berry feel than mandarin but it is fresh and not juvenile. The sandalwood is perfect, it's anchored deep and really keeps the florals from being to heavy and dense. This fragrance is perfectly balanced being warm, creamy, but fresh at the same time. This fragrance is a head turner for sure and I'm really impressed. Definitely sexy and screams luxury, but you must like your white florals. Great performance at least 8hrs with beautiful scent trail. I love this fresh take on gardenia it's beautiful!

I got this as part of a set that includes the original Flora Gorgeous Gardenia. I enjoyed it more than I anticipated; I love the original but don't typically enjoy "intense" versions. This is the night to GFG'S day, the fall to GFG'S spring. If I wear GFG during the day, I layer Intense over it to transition to evening. It has a creamier base that makes it feel warm and inviting. Like the original, I find it overpriced for what it is. And on others the longevity is questionable, but on me it lasts for a long time and I need very little. Is it a favorite? No. It's pretty basic and inoffensive. So I'll keep wearing it when I have it. But I won't rebuild unless it is a very good deal.

someone sent me a sample of this with a purchase I made and I avoided spraying it as I just figured it wasn't my thing. however, I am trying a new way of using my fragrances so I am doing an alphabet challenge. When I got to G I decided to give this one a go and boy was I wrong. This fragrance was an absolute delight from first spray. Slightly darker in tone and something that could be worn not just on a hot summer evening but a fragrance that would suit the autumn and winter months as well. I could smell this on myself most of the day and only topped up once. This may just have to go onto my list of full bottle worthy fragrances

Sweet, juicy mandarin beautifully complements the intensely floral gardenia, while woody notes remain quietly in the background as a warm foundation. The composition is rich, almost dense, like a flower saturated with fragrant, honeyed pollen. It is a night seductive floral: feminine, confident, and powerful. At the same time, it is sufficiently refined and composed to work beautifully during the day as well. Longevity is very good, and the sillage remains strong and clearly perceptible for a long time.

I loved the original gorgeous gardenia and plan to use this as a base to layer over since that one doesn’t last long. Same dna to me in the intense but this is stronger brown sugar through out. When I sprayed the back of my hand, there was a sheen from the oils. The juicy fruits at the opening are mouth watering. I never really smelled the gardenia in the og, But here in the intense, the florals are creamy and enveloping like a hug. I’m asking for this for Christmas.

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I do considering that I don't really care for their previous releases with the exception of the yellow one. This one surpasses them all, deep woody scent, very addictive especially in the dry down, long lasting. They are improving. The scent reminds me of Barenia from Hermes, deep, classy but more wearable. I ordered a full bottle immediately, luckily it is on sale as well during this period 😍.

This reminds me of Midnight Fantasy of Britney Spears but less dark and softer. The smell is like a fruity breeze, it is delicious and gentle, but the durability is strong. When it dries down it smells floral but not like white flowers (which at times can be obnoxious and too much), but more like "delicate smell" of flowers. Something about this screams "expensive fruit queen" in an elegant, softand rich way.

This is the grown up mature version of Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy line. Better than the original Gorgeous gardenia and more deep and surely better than Gold Couture. This lady is flirty and carefree with sex appeal . I admit that the opening is more intersting than the dry down as the dry down is a bit gold couture vibes But I love it. Its signature scent worthy except in the heat of summer.

sweet and soft to begin with. yes, it has „intense“ in its name but it’s not too overpowering. perfect for a warm spring or fall night. it smells like a fruity cocktail. i find myself smelling it from time to time cause it’s just so lovely. people will definitely give you compliments and the scent lingers for hours! if you love sweet, dreamy scents, this will be for you.

I just bought this perfume and I'm in love. It smells so strong, my brother immediately asked me what perfume I had. It's expensive, but I think it's worth it and I think it will last me a long time because I only need to spray it once or twice. It's perfect for the autumn days ahead. Of all the Gucci perfumes, this one is definitely the best for me.

Smells ALOT like Angel by Mugler - and that is literally my signature scent. Bought this today (30ml) and I fell in love all over again! I love this one equally as much as Angel and I never thought that would've happened - the difference is that this one is more floral and gourmand, warmer. Expensive, but it was definitely worth it! Love it!

I am big fan of the original flora gorgeous gardenia, really wanted to try this one. Especially after read all the feedback here. I can find raspberry but not mandarins at all.little later some faint flowers... However it’s a cute fruity scent and personally it’s reminds me for CH good girl I could wear it all day long in every season

This is interesting. I can detect a pepper rose note in this. I also get a very syrupy drydown with notes of berries. This is more of a bold floral fatale night scent. They took the intense very seriously with this one. Intense gardenia is not your typical fluffy white floral. Not a blind buy. I really enjoy it though. A unique scent.

I'm not very aware of the scent profile on the original Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci, but I can def say I really like the profile on this one. Very heavy with patchouli, but also incredibly sweet and rootsy from the mandarin and sandalwood pairing. Of course, this is INTENSE and has an incredibly strong silage and wear time.

i have all five flora flankers and love them all. I can recognise the gorgeous gardenia dna in this one, but this one is more complex and deep, it is a bit more fit for the colder months in my opinion. For some reason this is my husbands least favorite out of all the floras. I love it tho.

i looooove this perfume. unlike the other flora’s, i wouldn’t recommend wearing in spring or summer weather. the smell has a really nice fresh, feminine and cozy feel to it, making it perfect for fall in my opinion! bottle is lovely too, and longevity is pretty good. would 10000% recommend

Just sampled it and I think it's really lovely. I'm not a fan of the Flora perfumes but this one is pretty different to me. It's flowery but in a grown up way. It's sweet but not too sweet. The woodiness works very well in this but the dry down on me is mainly gardenia and a hint of rose.

Love it. All the Floras smell amazing on paper but do something strange on my skin. This is the first one to not do so. It stays smooth yet slightly uplifted. It’s a bubble bathe scent. Scented and fragrant but not heavy. Just pretty and clean. Will def need a bottle!

This had the potential to be a top ten for me...but alas, it just doesn’t last long enough. I love the woody vanilla floralness about it but Gucci are having a right laugh putting the word ‘Intense’ on the bottle. It was an intense waste of my money.

Wow this is really good and strong, immediately this reminded me of Calvin Klein Euphoria. I don’t really like Euphoria that much but this is like a better version of it . I typically don’t like gucci perfumes but this might be my new favourite.

I bloody love this, the dry-down is so nice and woody leaning unisex, and lovely white floral tones softening the edges. It smells clean and fresh instead of too sweet or high floral. This is my favourite of the line by a wide margin.

I really like this!!! I kinda like the whole line of flora scents and this one doesn't disappoint. It smells fruity and berrylicious. It's for a happy person, the type that always manages to smile.

I layer this (Gardenia Intense) with the OG Flora Gorgeous Gardenia and I am freaking addicted to smelling myself. It's the best of both worlds and it's amazing!

Sweet floral with a jammy twist. The notes don't mention berry but it has that vibe... maybe strawberries in a flower garden. It's my favorite from the series

As a former Florist I worked a lot with flowers of all kinds and I always loved the smell of Gardenia. The flower itself can be indolic, but not with this perfume. I managed to get a great deal on the 100ml (89€) and been wearing GGGI for quite a while now. This scents starts with a burst of mandarin essence. It feels tart and refreshing, uplifting. After a few minutes it dissipates into a creamy white floral. Lovely! Not overpowering, but dense enough to feel the gardenia radiating. After an hour or so it turns woody-creamy and I don't know what it is, but this perfume meshes with my skin chemistry so well, that I feel like it smells like me, just better, if this makes sense? The drydown feels so intimate, familiar and comforting. It might be Hedion, which is scientifically proven to evoke familiarity, cozyness and trustworthy. Very interesting read! As a psychiatric nurse I, of course, ask my patients what they think of it. All 21 of them told me they liked my perfume. It's definitely noticeable, but not overwhelming, they say. I usually wear beast mode fragrances and they're relieved about my new obsession :D. Even tho the scent is dense the projection is radiating at max an arm's length. Which is still fine. Sillage is good, people will notice the scent trail. Longevity is mediocre - good. You'll get 6-8 hours of wear. I can smell it after 9hours of work on my skin. Love how I get a waft of it every now and then when moving around. What I don't understand is that I've read several times, that this is also a gourmand? To me it definitely is not. Nothing edible about GGGI. Also don't get the berries. Maybe the red bottle unconsciously suggests berries? I don't know. Anyway, Will I repurchase this? Yes. Will I recommend trying this? Yes. Is it worth the OG price of 180€ per 100ml, no.

This one has left a mark on my memory. I first fell for this line when a student of mine gifted me Flora Gorgeous Orchid. It was the first full size bottle of luxury fragrance I’ve ever owned. While not suited to my tastes, it’s undeniably pretty and summery. Then I tried Gorgeous Gardenia, and while I found it equally pleasant, it was still just a bit too light, fresh, and airy for my personal taste; though again, very, very well-balanced and pleasant. This is my favorite of the line I’ve tried so far — it boasts a depth that elevates it the past body-spray status I feel other scents in the line sometimes veer towards, especially in the drydown. This one, on the other hand, is a harmonious force of sturdy sandalwood and fragrant white floral, with the watery and vibrant gardenia note taking center stage and bursting through the papery woodiness, all topped in a jammy orange marmalade. Love this one — will definitely get a small size of it someday!

I received a free sample of this and it was love at first sniff! I have a body mist from Impulse called Purple Petals and Smokey Sky that smells quite similar in my opinion and will layer so beautifully. This is super woody but in a sweet way if that makes sense and dries down to such a nice vanilla smell. I can also smell really fruity berries (blackcurrant like) but can’t see it listed in the notes so not sure what I’m smelling. I would definitely wear this during the evening and probably the winter time as I think it suits colder weather a little more.

This is for your elegant vampire princess. Everything about this is so Autumn coded, even that gorgeous cranberry, blood-red bottle. It's fruity with a spicy woodiness from the sandalwood, which is the dominant note for me in the drydown. A bit reminiscent of wine, and somewhat similar in vibe to JPG La Belle Parfum. This is definitely its own entity from the original Gorgeous Gardenia, they're nothing alike. Out of the whole range, I'd say this one is the most elegant and perfect for a date night.

If it wasn't for niche perfumes I'd be obsessed with this (and I'm even on the other side of the fence about buying this eventually) but one minor thing putting me off is (now don't if you're not a mum let this put you off) it smells like a mumsy designer perfume. It's definitely a good blind buy though if you're not sure on what mature-ish smell to buy. I'd say this fragrance suits someone best around their 20s

It's very sweet sugary with flowers and woods in the background, it's like the original but way more sweeter and stronger which I really like, it's a 10/10 for me, but I don't know I'm gonna get it or not cause lately the price of perfumes are going insane. longevity is more improved but still bad. For the price point and as a brand, I need more than 5-6hrs not like a few mins. /crying lonely

Very much like Baciami and Crystal Noire Parfum to me. More woods and less vanilla in comparison to Baciami. Warmer and more ambery than CNP. The white florals are creamy with a slight peppery bitterness, which I like. The woodiness is more like guaiac instead of sandalwood to my nose. I like it but it would be redundant as I have similar scents. Beautifully done nonetheless.

smells like a grown up version of taylor swift's wonders truck. as soon as I smelled it I felt incredibly nostalgic. it leans very fall/winter, which I love because I find that it's super rare to find a floral that feels like fall/winter. its got this woodiness and spiciness that I just really love. I can't wait to wear this more in the fall.

This Intense version smells exactly the same as the regular one (to my nose, mostly sweet red fruits), but it lasts longer. If you like the original, you’ll probably like this one too. For the record, I tested it at the same time as the original version (one on my left arm, the other on the right).

A sexy yet versatile perfume. Florals not to sweet. Lovely in the cold, suffocating in the heat. Moderate longevity on skin, but lasts a good deal of time on clothing. Nothing special, pretty inoffensive, and a little overpriced for a relatively basic scent with no incredible longevity.

I do not dislike this at all however this reminds me of grandma soap. I love white florals but I would not wear this, don't ask me why. And I know this one is being compared to VLJ but there's some kind of fruity note or maybe the actual gardenia, that smells a bit off to me.

Damn, it would be perfect if there wasn't this "hairsprayness" in it. It's a bit screechy to me. Reminds me of Good girl Blush because of it. If anybody knows something very similar to this but softer and without hairspray/screechy feel feel free to message me

Nice, very different from original Gorgeous Gardenia. But you can definitely snell gardenia and hedione note which I find a more sophisticated and balance then jasmine. Woody, warm, goos for fall and winter or as evening perfume all year round .

This opens very green and settles into a warm, soft sandalwood. It reminds me of the gold Playboy perfume. I am a gourmand girlie so this is not my cup of tea, but maybe someone who likes sandalwood or floral fragrances would like this.

I will have to sample this again, but somehow on my skin it smells strikingly similar to Jimmy Choo EDP (the original). One of the few perfumes I've tried that lasts all day and has crazy sillage though! Impressive.

I have a sample, and I kinda want the full bottle now. It is the intense so I’m not surprised, but it is STRONG like only one spray and I can’t breathe. Smells like the color red in a bottle to me, but sexy.
