Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme

Stunningly beautiful on my skin! Can’t stop sniffing my wrist. Longevity & projection not bad! I have had compliments from strangers even a good 4h after although I couldn’t smell it on me after 3h. One thing I can not stand is Dupe brands recommending their own brands on Frangrantica pretending they are reviewing but recommending their own dupe brand! Unacceptable! Don’t fall for dupes & recommendations here as it is the dupe brand themselves plugging up their mediocre dupes! There is one such dupe brand below being recommended! This is not the place to advertise your dupe perfume brand! I used to think dupes were a good bargain initially until I tried the original! Never again! In my experience dupe perfumes rarely ever smell the same throughout it’s scent journey on your skin. They may get it close to the original in top notes but usually the heart & dry down of dupes smell cheap or very different! This is because often the dupe brands will go for the cheaper alternative aroma molecules rather than the more premium aroma molecules/Absolutes/essential oils/natural resins that a designer brand can afford to use & will use in their formulas. I studied perfumery & I can see this in many dupe Scents! My advice would be rather than buy dupes or buy decants ( which can often be dupes too),if you want to try a sample, instead test samples in department stores or original brand shops or duty free airports & let the scent develop on your skin throughout the day before you commit to a purchase & when you decide to purchase, rather treat yourself to the original & if it is too expensive, save up to buying the original as a treat for your birthday or Christmas etc There are sales sometimes over Christmas period so you can get a better deal. Or instead of wasting money on dupes & decants, go for niche perfume brands that don’t cost a fortune but make their own stunning scents but do not make copies of other brands. Or brands like Zara who have collaborated with Jo Malone,the perfumer & entrepreneur herself to come up with a range of stunning,super quality yet affordable Perfumes! Go for original be it designer,niche brand or store brand,never support dupes!

Just got this as a gift.. so you know I had to hop on to see how people feel about it. I really wasn't expecting half the flak. I get green.. but I also get leather, fruits, and an aquatic accord that surprised me since its "Black". It reminds me of a darker less sharp Aqua Di Gio. Maybe ADG Ultimate Black. It has a greenness of Lanvin Oxygen, but way toned down. I'll also say this, it smells really good. Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. For the ladies it's sure fire. My girl said this beat out all the big guns at Macy's (JPG, Paco, Chanel, Prada etc). I wouldn't consider this a light fresh scent like some people have said. I would say it's an all year rounder, leaning fall/winter.. or a spring/summer evening/night fragrance. Clubbing or a dinner event this could be a great option. It's fairly heavy and sweet to my nose, with a little spice, but not spicey. Now as far as being generic.. I would say I have smelled this before. I can't say what, where or when exactly, but this is done much better than what it reminds me of. Longevity is good and projection is good, and I enjoy the clean/soapy dry down. The note pyramid looks empty to me. I get depth and sweetness, but I can't really separate the notes. I'd say it's blended really well, and I get a smooth but strong leather note at the opening to mid. It dies at the drydown. Definite crowd pleaser, and all the negativity seems to come from the fact it isn't groundbreaking or niche.. while all the love comes from how people find it "sexy". Age group is highschool and up.. may be too sweet/generic for more mature noses. Casual to semi formal, but I wouldn't wear it to work. Might be too heavy/cloying. Overall great juice. Edit: What GGB reminded me of is Nautica Rush Gold mixed with a bit of Kenneth Cole Black. Own gold.. and I'd rather have this black. KC is still good though. Just not as good as this.

What can I say about this fragrance, it's a nice and safe Green fragrance suitable all year around. Everyone will love this fragrance, whether you are big into fragrances or not, it's a safe bet and gets quite a few compliments. It does smell a bit synthetic like people have mentioned, but it's not the overwhelming synthetic smell that other Green fragrances have. As briefly mentioned, the versatility of this fragrance is phenomenal, all year around for any occasions, no matter the kind of man you are. Masculine? Go for it. Flamboyant? Yes sir. It is a long-running line of Gucci - even having a new release this year, Gucci Guilty Parfum Pour Homme. It is a safe blind buy fragrance, ignore what the negative comments are saying, it is fully worth it. If you can, go for the 100ml. I'm saying this for the mass versatility you get with it, it doesn't have the best longevity, but again you can overspray, and it won't be offensive. It is mass appealing and nothing unique even within the Guilty line, but it is a safe entry and starter scent to both the Gucci line and to start your fragrance collection. I have had many compliments wearing this scent from friends and family to people who I walk past, it's not an attention grabber by any stretch of the mile. Overall, a safe blind buy for all age ranges, for all occasions and seasons. I would lean into it being ever so-slightly uni-sex, but that's just my opinion. This was the first fragrance I had bought, so it has a soft spot for me and I could never hate on it.

Gucci Guilty Black was the only fragrance I owned for years and although I've since discovered many scent profiles I enjoy more, it'll always hold a special place in my heart. It's an interesting mix of green / blue to my nose and to me just makes me feel like a fresh, clean well-put-together guy. My wife fell in love with it while we were dating and still prefers it to this day due to the nostalgia factor, so it'll stay in rotation in some form forever. It's versatile and can be used really for any season or occasion. If you enjoy this scent profile but are disappointed with the performance, I feel confident recommending the Dua version (Dark Guilt). I'm not the biggest fan of Dua's stuff in general but had to try it since there's not too many houses doing "inspired by" fragrances for this DNA and have been hoping to find something that last longer than the ~2hrs GGB does on me (and was also disappointed by the performance of Fine'ry Alleged which is another dupe). Happy to report Dark Guilt is dead on to my nose and offers a vast improvement on performance being an extrait de parfum.

This is hands down the best fragrance i ever owned , girls ADORE it , i have received hundreds of compliments about how green and refresing i smell and how much girls love it. On the downside , the longevity was pretty good when i first bought it when it launched (2013) , but as all big houses like Dior or Chanel , Armani and so on do , they watered down and now is pretty weak after 1 hour I also received a lot of compliments from Bleu De Chanel EDT which is also my favourite and use to linger all day on me much more than Gucci Guilty Black , but Chanel also did that and diluted the concentration sadly and it gets very weak sillage after 2hours now i really do not understand why can't hey make an identical version of this Gucci Guilty Black and call it Perfume or Perfume Extract charge more money but make it WAY MORE CONCENTRATED like it was when it launched or even more Anyway another favourite of mine was Gris de Montagne Dior amazing longevity ,projection and sillage best i ever had but for a huge amount of money almost over 300$
