Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour Femme

This opens really fruity, and it smells like there's more than oranges singing before it settles. It smells as if there's something like raisins in here. My first impressions are that this is a decidedly feminine floral, and an understated nod to 1980s-90s florals...it's verging on bouquet territory, but not quite as heavy as some of the fragrances our aunties wore. This, to me, is a huge compliment and actually a welcome change from the thin, transparent, watery florals and white musk that dominate the market lately. The florals are very clean however, not aged and not potpourri. It's soapy, which I believe is probably the wisteria. It's almost piercingly clean, but it stays within it's lane without becoming "screechy". There's a slightly plasticky pool toy note that emerges along with the soapy florals though, so it needs mentioning. A little background with me though? I swam before I could walk (no exaggeration, I was a weird kid), swam competitively for years, taught lessons, coached, and lifeguarded. So...what might he annoying to some people actually makes me oddly happy 😅🤣 That synthetic thing, whatever it is, fades after about an hour and seems linked with whatever is top-mid notes. This simmers down BEAUTIFULLY! It's not a groundbreaking patchouli&rose combo, but it's a classic pairing that is executed well here. It's a little plushy, owing to this vanillic-leaning tonka. Sweet, but not at all too sweet, and not gourmond. Just...softened. Yes, wow. Really nice, and I didn't expect to actually love this. And really, this thing has horsepower and works in cold, damp air. Yet, I think it reminds me more of cold springtime at the very end of winter. 💕

I was wearing Bvlgari Jasmin Noir EDP since it came out in the late 00s, it was more than my signature scent, people would instantly recognise me when I was passing by. It was made for complimenting the mysterious but strict femme fatale, eternally her. Bold, dark, feisty, erotic, but never sweet. Ever since they changed the composition, I kept piling on leftover original bottles from anywhere I could find until I could find its replacement. It took me a loooong time, but 2 years ago I came across Gucci Guilty Elixir - it was overwhelming and so suspiciously impressive at first, which made me settle for regular Gucci Guilty for everyday use and my Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy as a transition perfume. I kept going back to test the Elixir, again and again, until I was sure. And 1.5 year ago I knew I was 100% sure. For me it represents the femme fatale that grew out of her feistiness, still mysterious but this time playful, still bold but confident enough to not be afraid to show her gentleness. I hate rose & vanilla fragrances, but here the wisteria, rose & osmanthus are blended so gracefully, that you can't even tell. The tonka is sweeter than usual because of the vanilla, but in a seducing way that makes you want more, while the patchouli blends perfectly not in an old lady way, but in a Vesper Lynd "I am the money" kind of way. It reminds me of nights in my fave luxury hotel roof garden bar, dressed in a silk purple Cavalli dress and patent leather Louboutins. Luxurious, sensual, untouchable. What a perfume!

Listen ... whenever I smell a perfume that smells like someone made it just for me, Quinten Bisch is ALWAYS at the scene of the crime. Always! Anyway, what does that mean for this one? The dry rose-patchouli combo smells like a very approachable gothy/vamp vibe, like a way more approachable and wearable Portrait of a Lady. The wisteria/rose/vanilla is so dreamy, and the tonka bean gives it just a small edge of maybe edible, like maybe dark chocolate buried in soil, but in a good way? Ugh, it’s so good. Then there’s a small whisper of powdery violet, but it’s not a star of the show, which is totally fine and well-balanced here. It’s not youthful, but it is flirty. It’s sensual without being “sexy.” It’s just very very good and I understand why some wouldn’t like it; this is very much a statement perfume the way Portrait of a Lady is a statement perfume, but like I said, it’s way less harsh and severe than that. 10/10, amazing, love it, full bottle worthy, would wear on my wedding day, etc etc. Just gorgeous.

Now this is something! This is love! I don't go for floral scents, I'm so picky on them, and it's hard to find a floral perfume, which is not mommy-like, or ageing the person who wears it. But Gucci created this perfectly! No wonder why this is the top-shelf cathegory perfume for Gucci-house. It's hard to define, what makes this scent addictive, for me it's definitely the balanced mix of tonka, violet and vanilla. It's a perfect creation from spraying until the end of the day. No respraying needed, it lasts the whole day. So modest, a bit dark, you have to wear an elegant outfit with this, otherwise the perfume wears you. Perfect for elegant events, date night, when you want to be recognised. It's worth every penny!

Very mass appealing in a good way it’s unmistakably a designer fragrance. You get a strong whiff of wisteria, osmanthus & vanilla upon spray very very strong initially. As for longevity I would disclose around 6-8 hours for me on skin the dry down to the start is fairly consistent though it drifts further more into violet & tonka. The notes performed beautifully as it is on paper a genuinely safe everyday wear fragrance. My Verdict Smell : 9 ( Yes It’s Actually GOOD Bottle : 6 Concept : 8 Value : 6 Safe Blind Buy? Absolutely this is one of those highly inoffensive fragrance that can be enjoyed by anybody unless you’re one of those people that hate florals.

This perfume is a vanilla floral with a slightly powdery base. It's sweet, but it's a chic, refined, and very elegant sweetness. It's a very pleasant scent. It opens fresh, with a greenish violet undertone. As it develops, I detect notes of sweet, powdery roses, and as it settles on the skin, I can smell the very sweet vanilla, but it's not a gourmand vanilla, but rather more adult, sophisticated, and even liqueur-like. It's a very pleasant, elegant, and at the same time very sensual scent. A more nocturnal and wintery scent. It has moderate projection and longevity. I really liked it.

I’ve sampled this on my skin quite a few times. There’s just something about it. The initial spray is beautiful, juicy and intoxicating and then about an hour later there’s a super powdery, creamy sweetness. The citrus is completely gone which I’m not necessarily mad about. It’s a powerful fragrance and I feel very similar to its male counterpart which my husband has and is my favorite scent on him. Truly, both of these fragrances have an addictive quality about them. Still deciding if it’s worth the full bottle. The men’s fragrance absolutely was worth every scent for my hubby.

my fave so far of the Guilty family, luxurious purple florals & warm Tonka Bean wrapped in elegant patchouli. it's a nicely done sweet floral, but the sweetness is not sugary or candied. heavy but not cloying, definitely not something to apply recklessly though. it's very 'formal' smelling; I think it's perfect for a black-tie event or some other evening soiree (it's become my go-to special occasion scent already!). i can get away with 4-6 sprays max, since it does have excellent projection & longevity, but I still can't justify paying full price for a bottle.

I’m in love with this scent. I finished the perfume bottle a while ago, and I think I definitely want to buy it again. Actually I’m certain because I was really in love with this scent and it’s still one of my few absolute favorite perfumes (the other being Mon Guerlain Intense) It’s like this clean, violet, berry, powdery, bubbly scent. I don’t know why but ‘bubbly’ comes up in my head 🫧 I think it’s because it has this elegant clean/powdery almost soapy soap bubble touch to it, I don’t know how to describe it. But I love that soooo much, it’s so addictive!

I've never smelled a perfume this juicy before. I bought a sample and tried it on, and immediately received compliments. That day, I couldn't concentrate on anything because I was so consumed by the smell. It's so beautiful, it doesn't break its rhythm at all. It opens juicyly, like a sweet orange juice, and continues with a sweet violet, and even though it's not in there, I feel the warmth of amber. There's such a thing as Gucci quality. I hope I can find it at a reasonable price.

Just pick up a bottle! I used some of my points to get it as it’s pretty pricey! Patchouly, vanilla, and Tonka, bean, are some of my favourite notes. Im a Gucci fan, Elixir has a similar intensity to one of my all-time favourites from Gucci called “Rush” which is discontinued now. This is definitely a fall winter fragrance, which I’ve added to my collection, projection and longevity scores a 10/10 .. stays on skin 8 hrs or more and on my coat, a few days!

This Elixir, as with the Homme version, is provocative, modern, unexpected, and devastatingly alluring. Get it while you can.

Sweet, smokey, deep vanilla perfumes are not my thing at all. If Notino hadnt sent me a free sample I would have never even tried it on. However, this has a distinct violet in it that reminds me of Gucci Guilty a lot. It makes me feel sexy and adult and put together but it is also quite soothing. It is a winter scent for sure. And my husband absolutely loves it. Great for Christmas party.

This is so good😍 It's an elegant ambery floral woody experience. It is marketed to women but it smells so good on my skin. The florals are pleasant and the tonka keeps it playful and sexy. There's a Tom Ford DNA in there but I can't pinpoint which fragrance specifically, maybe Santal Blush-ish or one from that line. Wouldn't mind getting this as a gift.

6 out of 10. Great longevity, and nice projection. I am not a fan of the original and purchased this one for the vanilla base note. Smells like a Las Vegas Casino women's restroom. Smells like you had a wild night with your crush, smells like glitter, fish net stockings, hair spray, mini skirts, fake gold jewelry and thigh high boots. 💜

I was just window shopping at the airport when I came across this scent. And WOW! This is the type of scent that would suit me! So I bought it and I'm in love! I tried the sample at the airport, and the scent still lingers on my jacket til now! I love Gucci perfumes but this one smells seductive and it linger.

This is my go to evening perfume. Its a very floral scent which i dont usually love, but you get a little bit of depth with the tonka and pachouli. It’s quite strong and lasts the whole night, it’s sexy and juicy but in a chic and sophisticated way. Cannot go wrong with this. Definitely a safe blind buy

Ooooooo, yummy. This is everything I'd hoped Hypnotic Poison would've been. It's floral, yet creamy vanilla as well. It can also be found as low as 45 bucks if you search long enough. My only complaint??? It only is sold in a 2 ounce bottle. I'd have liked to have been able to have a larger bottle.

This is slightly richer deeper more velvety version of Gucci guilty intense. They are very similar to one another maybe that one is a tad more woody and this one is a tad more vanillic. Both are amazing. There is a great dua dupe for this called elixir of her guilt

It smells like a sweet fruity drink at the opening. After a while it turns into a more floral scent. The scent of violets and other flowers.It is suitable for all seasons, I like to use in summer also. I love it!

Lovely soft creamy feminine floral with superb sillage and longevity. More of an Autumn/winter scent, but would work beautifully on a cool breezy spring day too. Very much a crowd pleaser.

Very similar to the original Gucci Guilty pour femme eau de parfume.I have both the parfume and the EDT ,so I'll skip buying it,but deffenitly gets love from me.

100% agree on generic but I love it anyway. I can't imagine anyone being displeased by it and it boosts my mood. Not worth the price in my opinion though.

This is a sexy bomb. This has a vibe of Guerlain Insolence from mid 2000s that came in a rose-shaped bottle, but even better. Absolutely adore this

Reminds me of blackberry jam with a lot of floral notes. Lilac rose apricot like osmanthus. As it goes a long it becomes more like a fruity/floral lipstick. This is a very very strong perfume. Overdoing it could give you or someone else a headache but I find that true of the whole guilty line male or female. These are all 2 sprays and done for the day perfumes. If you like strong fruity florals that are not to sweet but heavy on purple lilac/wisteria this cute little purple bottle is a good one . Edit: 11/16/23 As I examine this perfume more the dry down is really beautiful. The above accords are very true at least to my nose. I get this soft woody slightly sweet violet w/ rose. Very pretty. Again, I would go w/ like half sprays in strategic locations. I do like this perfume in the beginning and the mid but the dry down is quite heavenly. I am going to pick up a few samples just to wear and decide if I want to invest in a full bottle. I tested this in the store on skin and on paper. I kept the paper strip to examine this and the new LVEB Iris absolu and both of these perfumes have extraordinary lasting power. This Gucci elixer is my favorite of the line. Edit: 3/15/24 I've decided this is full bottle worthy. My husband ADORED this. I've worn it for 2 days now and it lasts, projects, and smells great from beginning to dry down.

It’s a joyful, distinctly girlish fragrance, like a pastel dress on a sunny day. It opens with violet and a softly sweet hint of citrus, flowing smoothly into intoxicating visteria touched with rose. The composition unfolds gently and harmoniously, like a pastel bouquet arranged with care. In the base, tonka bean with vanilla and a subtle trace of patchouli lend warmth and softness, wrapping the floral heart like a light shawl draped over the shoulders. Longevity is around six hours, with moderate projection, noticeable, yet never trying to dominate the room. It’s a pleasant, well balanced scent that lifts the mood like your favourite cup of coffee, a little bottled pick me up. At the same time, it lacks edge and depth, everything feels pretty, polished and safe. Instead of a true perfumery spark, we get an aesthetic, well crafted creation that appeals to many... but rarely lingers in the memory.

This scent is, in deed, Guilty ...of being painfully ubiquitous. It's decent but nothing new. Very familiar Gucci DNA. Similar to Gucci Guilty EDP, in deed. Soapy amber floral. Overall, pleasant, nevertheless (especially, if I manage to forget that I have smelled it over hundred times on other people). Gucci Guilty fans will probably enjoy it. I associate this scent with clubbing for some reason. However, it's bright enough to be wearable during the day if you want something stronger and more noticable. I don't think I'd find an occasion to wear it, however: too common for going out, too strong for an office setting or casual wear. Very potent. Just one spray is too much for me. I can smell it from a distance. Plain, but nice bottle.

Amazing fruity floral. It's a jammy fruity opening. Perhaps blackberry or simply "forest berries", maybe raspberry+blueberry. So different from the rest of the line, so I'm not sure it's a flanker per se, seems to me to be an independent scent. On a strip the lasting power is amazing, still going strong after 6 hours. However, the price point is ridiculous - 195€ for 60 ml? I would buy Xerjoff for this price. and I don't like the style of the bottle.... otherwisem it would have already been in my perfume cabinet.

This is syrupy dark, powdery and earthy. The florals add the powdery accord; the vanilla and tonka beans add the sweetness. I'm getting some syrupy plums and black currant (not listed) but none of the citruses. The patchouli is a bit too earthy and musty but thankfully the top and middle notes are stronger. It does have some Velvet Orchid vibes but this one is more wearable if musty patchouli doesn't bother you. Projection is STRONG (don't over spray) and longevity is moderate (6hrs). A like from me!

Got this as a Christmas gift. Definitely unexpected as the notes are not preferred by me, but it's one of the darker florals I really seem to like! First spray is definitely more prominent on florals, but the dry off mixes well with violet and citrus, almost giving a berry like scent. A bit sweet but nothing harsh. Sillage and longevity are amazing, I could smell this all day with one spray on my wrist.

Here are my 2 cents on it...First sprayed is so addictive, it's like a high dose of hot pink jasmine with a little bubble gum but that beautiful part goes away and it dries down to a soft patchouli and a little masculine smelling. I wish it would stay as the first spray and also it does not last either. I was surprised at the price of $175 for a 2 oz bottle.

What an interesting fragrance! Just dropped in Estonia. I am not the biggest fan of Gucci but I liked the bottle so tried it. Couldn't really put my finger on the main note but it was really sweet, tonka beans and violet most likely. Will go and try it again but won't be buying it because its just too expensive for a Gucci fragrance.

I really enjoy the opening of this fragrance - it's sweet, yet refreshing. The osmanthus balances the rose and wisteria nicely in the mid and lingers on towards the base. It's above average in my opinon.

This is very pretty. It’s creamy, sweet and softly powdery. It has a freshness that gives it a romantic vibe. It’s a good choice if you are looking for something safe and feminine for cold days.

As the biggest gan of Gucci Guilty Intense from mid 2010’s, in the mirrored squared bottle, I had very high expectations from this Gucci Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour Femme launched two years ago. But it’s kind of disappointing to be honest! Not because it smells bad but because it’s just soo far away from the original, very much loved DNA. This is just a middle of the road powdery, floral, fruity with a patchouli, vanilla base. Nothing interesting or intriguing, a bit weak and unremarkable. Disappointing release..

All I get from this is grape syrup, like Robitussin cough medicine. Even if you like that, the scent disappears immediately from both skin and clothes. For the price: ridiculous! I like the Guilty line. If you want a berry/dark version, Absolut is amazing and the best of the entire line. Speaking about the original formulation (tall bottle), not the new one (squat bottle), which seems to be much more expensive, but I haven’t smelled it yet.

I feel that right after spraying, the notes need some time to settle before they come together as a coherent flower profile. The opening seems rather airy and citrusy. Unfortunately, the flowery middle notes only have a short time before they are taken over by a screechy and rather synthetic drydown, during which a shy violet and wisteria make an appearance from time to time.

based on the notes i should love this and sometimes i like it but the majority of the time there’s this weird, slightly nauseating smell in it that’s off putting and synthetic. the dry down does make it better and allows the notes to blend however i still get that synthetic smell often. sillage and projection are great. i’ll keep it for a while to see if anything changes.

The potency is insane, although it's way too cloying, sweet, and overly mature for my taste. The biggest problem is the screechiness of the patchouli, which throws everything off balance. It's not the worst, but it's very overwhelming, and you can clearly sense the synthetic, designer feel.

I’m a man and I think this is awesome ! I have both the men’s and woman’s version and I sometimes get slight scents of the homme from the femme. Not too feminine leaning in my opinion and i’d say it’s pretty unisex. I’m not sure why the rating on this is as low as it is, it’s great!

This one is so sweet & fruity from my nose. Still have the Guilty DNA in it. Too pricy for this kind of fruity, sweet designer fragrance. There are so many similar fragrances in the market. The new Elixir Pour Homme in the same collection is much much better.

Quite a wild mix, but also interesting. Starts quite fruity, then the violet takes over and after an hour the warm vanilla base is dominating. Not my cup of tea but I can see why one might like it. More of an evening/going out scent in my opinion.

I see what they’re trying to do here, but I don’t think it’s executed as well as I’d want it to be. It just kind of smells like someone attempting to make a wealthy scent. And like ripe grapes for some reason. Huh!

I tried today at Nordstrom and it’s ok for me. Nothing special to get a bottle even though the color is pretty.

I tested it today at the airport. I was excited for this release, usually I like fresh floral scents. This is heavier than I anticipated it to be. It opens with citrus but it's somehow not very bright and quickly this citrus becomes bitter. I would've thought it had bitter orange not mandora. It smells a lot more like violet than wisteria. I was expecting airy and light wisteria flowers. To my nose it was slightly powdery violet, very present patchouli and bitter orange. The patchouli is not dirty in my opinion but it grounds the fragrance and make it more suitable for autumn. This could be a nice inoffensive everyday scent but it's kind of boring and not fresh at all.

Cons: This is very floral heavy on the scent card. I'm so thankful I did not put it on my person because just one spray on the scent card and irritated my asthma, allergies, and gave me a headache and itchy throat. That's no fault of the fragrance. It's just an irritation I have most likely from one of the flowers or notes. Because of this and because it's such a heavy fragrance, it's not for me. Pros: If you like these notes, this fragrance does seem to be decently blended and it packs a punch. I can tell the sillage and longevity will be out of this world. This fragrance is NOT watered down and for that it gets praise.
