Gucci Guilty Love Edition Pour Homme 2024

Not a Gucci fan, but this one is really interesting and made me get a full bottle. Definitely a male fragrance for men who don’t want to smell like almost every single guy in a nightclub. It has that unisex vibe. A versatile fragrance but should mostly be worn on warmer or neutral temperatures, especially daytime, but could be worn at night as well. On my skin it’s feels like a summertime creamy scent with a subtle touch of citrus and some kind of sweetness that makes you want to keep sniffing it. For some reason reminded me of Lacoste L.12.12. White, but with better longevity (around 8h). Projection is fine, nothing crazy but you probably wouldn’t want that with this kind of fragrance. It would be kinda nauseating. Even though the notes seem quite simple, this is an actual complex fragrance. The opening feels fresh and citrusy, then you begin to feel an intriguing sweet creaminess with fresh nuances. The dry down is a creamy, elegant and powdery with clean soap feeling. Overall, very well executed. It definitely carries the Gucci Guilty DNA, but I’m glad it’s not overpowering in any kind of way. The fact that it’s a limited edition makes it more interesting since it’s not really a mass-appealing fragrance (as you can tell by this comment section). Designer fragrances in general are getting too boring and similar on many levels, so I’m glad Gucci took the risk to experiment with the public who enjoy more unisex-leaning fragrances. Do not blind buy if you’re not into that kind of stuff.

Ok, I went to spray this side by side with YSL MYSLF EDP at a local ULTA in ATLANTA, GA. Yes they smell similar for a moment. Almost identical. Where they separate is the dry down and the opening. YSL MYSLF has a way better, smoother opening. But they both give the same orange blossom scent. Where Gucci Love Edition 2025 starts to win the race is in the dry down. That lavender smell is addictive. At first I wrote this fragrance completely off and said I will just stick with YSL MYSLF, which I love. But I kept smelling my wrist on the car ride home. Then I asked my lady to smell it again and then smell the YSL. She instantly said GUCCI WAS BETTER. I thought so too. Conclusion, this is sleeper fragrance. If you get through the opening, A WONDERFUL THING HAPPENS. LIKE PDM LAYTON. LAYTON STARTS OFF WITH THIS COUGH DROP SMELL AND THEN LANDS IN THE BEAUTIFUL WORLD OF VANILLA. GUCCI GUILTY LOVE EDITION IS A GREAT FRAGRANCE. What's better is that, days later I found it at Marshalls in Maryland for 59.99 in a 90ml... I bought it happily for that price and added it to the collection. And they all lived happily ever after.

I got a sample from the store when it was fairly new and the breakdown on that says: Almond Accord, Vanillin, Orange Flower Essence. Recently picked up a 90mL for $105 CAD on clearance. This scent is fairly linear, and is mostly just a creamy white floral mixing with a candy-like sweetness. It may not be very complex, but it just smells clean, sweet, and cozy. The first few sprays out of the bottle seemed to have a spicy and almost peppery blast, but that was gone after the first day of owning. I do also own YSL MYSLF and these 2 are really nothing alike once you get past the note breakdowns. This one is way more dense and sweet, and doesn't have the "fabric softener" feel that MYSLF gives off. It is definitely a lighter and stripped-down version of Guilty Elixir, but there is nothing light about this scent, it really lingers in the air and pushes out pretty good. Longevity is great too, it lasts on me all day long. I have seen many people complain about a plastic or rubber like smell, but I really don't get that at all. It is definitely synthetic smelling, but more so in a dense and creamy candy way.

I do like this fragrance a lot, although I think it may be a tad redundant if you have YSL MYSLF EDP. If you really love that DNA, go for it, but I think for the price, wait and see if it hits discounters or just get the MYSLF, which can always be found at a pretty reasonable price (I got the 100ml for just under 100.) Its a bit more masculine than MYSLF, which does lean a bit more unisex, although this could definitely be seen as unisex as well. So it's a good his and hers fragrance for date nights if you're into that kinda thing. This is a pretty good all year round wear in my opinion if you like florals. Not too sweet for the heat, not too loud for the office. The juniper adds a nice depth to the orange blossom, although the orange blossom is my favorite part. I like the way orange blossom hits in the cold weather, even if it doesn't project that well in the cold. I imagine layering MYSLF and this would probably be pretty good, almost make it smell like a floral Y flanker maybe?

While I have never been huge on the Gucci Guilty line this newest “Love Edition Pour Homme” has really resonated with me. What you have here is a very simple note make up but it’s done extremely well.. As the saying goes, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. This is an extremely smooth floral fragrance with a big dose of orange blossom and juniper leading the way. Interwoven in the mix you have the Ambrofix and it makes itself known too. The way the juniper plays on the orange blossom is really beautiful. You’re left with a beautifully blended creamy floral fragrance due to the heavy orange blossom playing on just a touch of light sweetness from the juniper and the ambrofix holding it all together. I highly recommend trying this one if these notes are appealing to you. As I said I typically don’t go for this line but there is something magical about this particular fragrance..
