The moment you spray this fragrance, you feel you have sprayed something special, something exclusive.. something off the beaten track of sweet synthetic fragrance that we have been fed over the last few years. This is a bold, high-impact men’s fragrance that marries floral brightness with creamy warmth and gourmand sweetness leading to a more assertive and expressive take on a growing trend - masculine florals ; think YSL Y, Amouage Lyric, LV Ombre Nomad and Amouage Reflection, which this fragrance is compared to most closely. Floral masculine fragrances are not easy to pull off so, credit where credit’s due, Quentin Bisch, well done sir! The orange blossom in this fragrance opens and threads through much of the scent’s personality. Unlike lighter citrus notes, orange blossom here brings a rich, warm white-floral sweetness and chalkiness , not purely fresh but more sensual and honeyed. It gives the fragrance its floral signature while avoiding a typical “fresh cologne” impression. The way the note has been used here also reminds me of Armani Vert Malachite’s use of white florals over vanilla and making the composition very sensual yet highly wearable. In the heart another superstar floral ( and Bisch;s favorite) Osmanthus enters the fray. Osmanthus has been used to provide a soft fruity facet converging with a tea and leather / suede like scent. It’s gentle but impactful. The base is where the fragrance diverges from what I really like to what I can tolerate; heavy vanilla + ambrofix + benzoin combo. It becomes sweeter and gourmandy, not my favorite scent territory, but I still enjoy it. I would have appreciated a bit more leather and patchouli to keep it more on the masculine side, but that’s just me. If you enjoy scents that project and leave an impression without being timid, this feels confident and expressive as this one’s a room filler without breaking sweat. The blend of orange blossom and vanilla isn’t typical in strictly traditional masculine perfumes, so, if you like gourmand florals that read as modern and stylish rather than classic barbershop, this will click. While not strictly youthful, its sweetness and warmth often appeal to people who want energetic sophistication rather than conservative floral styling although it comes at a price that puts it strongly in the niche fragrance price range. This really feels rich and cozy, the warm vanilla and florals truly shine in cooler air, making this a great evening scent. This is a vivid, contemporary floral-amber gourmand for men where orange blossom gives it identity and a floral warmth, orris butter adds creamy sophistication, and vanilla smooths everything into an enticing and sensual dry-down. Compared to Amouage Reflection Man, it is less classic and formal, more expressive and sensual, making it ideal for modern wearers who want something for those special occasions and evening out situations. In a nutshell, If you’re after a confident bold floral that straddles charisma and sensual warmth and you’re not opposed to impactful projection this is a compelling choice, and, for me an 8/10.

This fragrance gives me hope that perfumery can still be great again. I am so tired of these weak ghosts they sell today. Once, they knew how to make a scent that stayed. Now everything is watered down, washed out, nothing. And then these two appear—Guilty Elixir, Sauvage Elixir. Proof that it is still possible to make monsters, if anyone still cares. Today, "Elixir" only means what used to be normal in the eighties or nineties. But what does it matter. Guilty Elixir is like the male face of Hypnotic Poison. I am not a man who loves Italian fashion; for me, the French reign over this art. But here, an Italian house has earned my praise—though of course, the nose behind it is French. You can draw your own conclusions. The main thing is vanilla. But not sweet. Not that bakery vanilla that makes you think of women and children. This one is roasted, dark, sharp, dry. It has no mercy. And the white florals—they hit you like a slap, like a fist in the stomach. You don't care if anyone is offended. That is the point. You wear this because you have given up on humanity. Now you live for yourself. It reminds me of Cabanel’s Fallen Angel. That moment when sadness turns to resentment. The tears are from anger now, not grief. And his face has that greenish tint—like the bottle of Guilty Elixir. Inside this scent, something is fighting. Good and evil, maybe. The smoked vanilla wrestles with a soapy musk that keeps appearing to confuse you. In the background, leather waits. So get your bottle soon. Before they ruin it with reformulations. I have little hope this quality will last. Nothing does.

I recently purchased this one. I’ve smelled it when it came out back in the day and I didn’t like it at all.. I don’t know if my nose changed or my taste or what exactly changed but now I love it. To me this is so fresh and clean and there is something green in it. I don’t know why but I don’t get the extremely strong vanilla at all. I think that hast to do with the fact that I’ve had Covid like 4 times and since than something changed. (For example I used to think SWY intensely by Armani is way too sweet and now I can’t smell it that much). So anyways I get do get the sweetness that comes after 5 min but it’s more like honeyed orange blossom if that makes sense. Also I didn’t know what it reminded me of but than I got it.. there is something extremely linden blossom or linden tea or like lindeny about it. I know there is no linden in it and I know it’s not exactly linden blossom but it kinda reminds me of linden blossom a lot. But yeah hey my nose is pretty weird the last 1-2 years so who knows maybe I’m the only one getting that linden blossom in it. Performance is really good and price wise I got mine for 79€ on discounter which is pretty good ! It definitely is not for everyone. Not a safe blind buy! Not many at all. I’d say it’s kinda unisex leaning more feminine. At least to my nose. But I do love it exactly for that. I’m kind of a lover of powdery slightly feminine fragrances. One more thing is I usually don’t like neroli at all I can stand a bit of orange blossom but in general I don’t like it at all.. but in this one I love it!

First impression at sephora: Cloying, sharp, somewhat herbacious and dry on the nose. reminds me of smelling hair bleach(?). Didn't like it at all while i was in store sniffing the testers on the paper strips. A day goes by, already forgot about it and i took another whiff of the paperstrip and damn. It smelled almost gourmand, really sweet and vanillic. The powderiness really came out which smells to me like a clean but soft women's makeup blush/cushion. It stood out to me because it's so harsh at first making it super cloying but the longevity of this is no joke. Eventually buying it: I use it sparringly with only one spray to the chest and 2 sprays on my wrists. Complimented twice on the first week. It lasts DAYS i kid you not i walked pass my laundry room with my day old dirty clothes and can still smell it. I won't hype the sillage and distance up like how arabian perfume radiates it but this is insane. The smell to me is a sharp herbal and spicy peppery note at the start. It dries down very slowly into a loud vanilla and amber that's powdery somewhat similar to many iris fragrances like dhi, prada l'homme, but super powerful and stand up compared to those. The vanilla is more of a burnt vanilla which is tad bit bitter compared to gourmand vanilla thats sweeter. Overall smells to me like a unserious but strong willed dad. Masculine but doesn't come of as super aggressive Scent: 7.5/10 Top note 8.5/10 Drydown Longevity: 9.5/10 Sillage: 8/10 Versatility: 6/10 Overall: 8/10

This is quite an interesting one.. I got a decant of this with an order last year in the middle of winter, knew nothing about it, tried it on strip first and thought it must be a summer fragrance, just because it has this bright, floral quality it. Somehow a bit got onto my hand and I was amazed at how ridiculously strong it projected off of it. I went outside at night, it was freezing cold and I could detect it very distinctly just from that little bit on my hand. I ended up giving the sample away, because at the time I was only interested in very dark, woody stuff, but it certainly left an impression on me. I ended up testing it, among other stuff, on skin and it still blows my mind how much stronger it is than everything else. It's loud, but not screechy, bright, but not abrasive, sweet, but not overly so, floral, but not too feminine. Some of it got on my shirt, when I sprayed in store over a week ago and it still projects off of it. It takes several showers to get it off my skin completely. Sweet, buttery, slightly bubblegummy iris/orris with orange blossom and vanilla - that's what it mainly smells like to me. It smells like a memory of summer in the middle of winter. In my opinion a must try for anyone who is into fragrances. I'll probably not buy a bottle, because it's just too strong for my personal liking, but it's definitely something I want to smell again in the future.

Take the White Florals of Amouage Reflection Man, the Iris/Vanilla of LeMale Le'Parfum, the Almond/Vanilla of PDM Pegasus, & the Orange Blossom/Vanilla/Spices of PDM Althair, & rest them all on a base of Joop Homme. ..... thats what Gucci Guilty Elixir smells like. In fact, this fragrance literally smells like so many different fragrances all at once, that It doesnt make sense to say that it smells similar to any one fragrance. Concerning Reflection Man comparisons. It smells absolutely nothing like Reflection Man, & the White Florals in the opening are so fleeting, they'll be gone before you can even have a thought of comparing the two. Honestly, It smells like it would be better titled "Joop Homme Elixir", or a flanker of "Liquid Brun". Now dont get me wrong, It smells good. It gets compliments. It performs like a beast. But its not at all elegant like reviews have stated, & its definitely not worth its Retail, or Its Discount price tag. Gucci Guilty Elixir smells like a $30 fragrance in a Gucci bottle, & for that reason I didnt find it worthy of a review. DO NOT BLIND BUY !

Apart from some (only some) Tom Ford releases, this is one of the absolute best designer fragrances out there. Now what do I mean by best regarding something as subjective as fragrance. The ingredients' quality, the scent profile (which takes something like Pegasus and Reflection Man while making important additions to them), and performance to name a few qualifiers. This is flowers forward, like Reflection Man, but performs better, it is also sweet in the same way Pegasus is, but unlike Pegasus, you can pull this one off during cooler summer evenings and all other occasions except the high heat mid-summer days. I have both Pegasus and Reflection Man, but I reach out to this more often, and that says a lot. Again, apart from heavy hitters from Tom Ford, as a designer fragrance, this is on par with two fragrances from some of most well known niche fragrance houses out there...Amouage and Parfums De Marly. Just ordered a backup bottle, which I am sure I will need soon.

Whether you’re a fan of it or not, it is a commendable and impressive designer release. I have a hard time thinking of another recent designer release that smells so niche. This is quite close to Reflection man. Reflection man is sharper, more handsome, more mature. The vanilla is quite a bit here. It is nice, but you cannot overspray this. I really, really, like just 1 spray of this to the chest with a plain white old spice deodorant. It’s absolute cash money. Smell like vanilla clean laundry without overpowering. I think this is for a well dressed 30+ year old man. For the love of god dress kinda sharp when wearing this. I can’t imagine under dressing and wearing this. No shorts. I think this fragrance really plays to a man who’s relaxed, well spoken, and quiet. I think if you’re loud and overspray this you’re gonna put people off. Simply a fantastic designer release. I love the bottle, but just like everyone else I do wish for a larger size.

My current signature scent and the first perfume I've gotten since I was 15 y.o. The opening is quite citrusy butter and spicy on some skins, it can be polarising but I absolutely love it. It dries down to this slighlty sweet floral vanilla scent with a not so subtle hint of ambroxan. On clothes it tends to be more powdery than on my skin so I always spray on my neck This perfume has always been a massive compliment getter for me especially from women. However projection is crazy loud and overspraying can lead to headaches so I definitely wouldn't recommend going for more than 4 sprays if you're in office or closed settings. The perfume is versatile enough to be worn at all occasions and I find myself wearing it on a day off at home just because I love it. With that said, I still believe that the retail price is quite expensive but it can be bought from discounters for much less due to Gucci's "unpopularity". 9/10

Gucci is a funny brand. Loads of really basic generic stuff and every now and then a genuine niche-standard top-quality number. Guilty absolute. Intense oud. Guilty elixir de parfum. These gems get panned at times for their association with the blander stuff - but it’s crazy unfair as few designers offer up such ground breaking and unique scents. Guilty elixir is pure quality from start to finish. It’s different, it’s complex, it’s a stand out in the sea of forgettable designer releases. It’s also not as expensive as you might think - honestly 2 sprays of this is more than enough for anybody! For me therefore the 60ml bottle is essentially a 120ml as I’ll use 4 sprays minimum of most other frags. It’s worth every penny and if this was a PdM or Amouage it would be held up as a modern classic. Fair play Gucci - you’ve done it again and this takes it place alongside Absolute in my collection.

This scent is weird. At first I thought it smelled horrible, but then i gave it a few weeks and tried it again and I think I understand now. This is basically like the fragrances released in the 70s and 80s. It's a powerhouse style of scent. It's not supposed to smell amazingly mass appealing, but rather meant to evoke images and a vibe of "old money" and sophistication when you wear it. Gucci in many of their products have an association to old money (I don't like this phrase but I don't have any other way to say it) and sophistication in their products, and this fragrance fits well with that brand image. This works well with their old style loafers and crocodile bags. Makes me think I'm in an old mansion in the 80s. On a sidenote I also think Gucci Guilty Love Edition also has this sophistication about it. Made for valentines day but has a heft to it.

I love it, but it’s polarizing for sure. The opening has this talcum-like pungent wall that is impossible to ignore. It sticks to the inside of your nose and colors everything you smell for the next hour, or so. This is actually the magic of what happens later. This stuff clings to clothes, for days. I had my flannel hanging on a hook near my bedroom door, and with my window open, I would get these wafts as a breeze would come in, and it was so intoxicating each time. All different scents and smells throughout the house, melded with the sillage from my hanging shirt was exciting. Dinner that was cooking, cookies and a cake in the oven, freshly mowed grass, whatever else was going on and combined with this fragrance was.. magical. Is it nice to smell from someone 3ft away? Sure. But this is the one that gets you like a tractor beam from across the room.

I’m new to the designer and niche fragrance game — I’m about 20 bottles into my collection so far. But I will say this: Quentin Bisch is my favorite perfumer. As far as Gucci Guilty Elixir goes, it’s a monster. The projection is crazy. It’s similar to Amouage Reflection Man, but a tad bit sweeter and creamier. The florals are blended beautifully while still remaining masculine. It can be worn anytime, in any weather. It definitely stands out and will fill a room if you overspray it. It’s not office-safe — it’s more of a “make a statement” type of fragrance. Buy it before they reformulate it. It’s a powerhouse and, in my opinion, one of the strongest niche-quality designer fragrances on the market. Back-up bottle worthy. 9/10 -projection 9/10 sillage 9/10 scent profile 9/10 longevity My only gripe is for the price it's a small bottle!

I was one of the first to write a review of this and I still love it. I now own Guilty Absolu and wear that more often as it's more "me" and it's an easier semi-casual wear, whereas GGE demands you be sharply dressed and preferably an event of some importance. To offer a counter opinion to so many below, I own the OG Reflection Man (non magnetic cap) and it was once my favorite scent, but I can say I prefer Guilty Elixir in every regard. It is more upscale and rich with the semi-oldschool leather note and almost dry/bitter incense note that comes out on my skin. Reflection is more elegant clean laundry, while GGE is just "elegant man." I concur with the opinion that this is one of the greatest designer scents in decades, but I see no need to make the "designer" distinction, it stands toe to toe with the very best niche.

oh you gotta love it this has been a good driver for me during the August - October stretch in Boston right before it gets cold enough to wear my cold weather fragrances, the first spray gives you a mystical opening that people either passionately love on your body or deeply hate with a passion. they either believe your scent is wildly feminine (who cares?) or teeter-tottering on masculine. its creamy, its powdery, its beautiful, its easy on the nose, it checks every single box on the checklist and its absolutely worth smelling if you get the chance. this has singlehandedly chanegd my mind on all gucci fragrances, and encouraged me to grab Gucci Guilty Love Edition Pour Homme. whatever they're doing over at gucci, they have to keep doing it, because they'll keep getting money out of me, thats a promise.

From “Meh” to Absolutely Nuclear – Gucci Guilty Elixir Delivers When I first tried Gucci Guilty Elixir a few months ago, I have to admit I was a bit disappointed. I loved the scent—it’s rich, warm, and intoxicating—but the performance didn’t match the hype. It faded too quickly and didn’t project like I expected. I thought maybe it just wasn’t for me. Fast forward three months, and I came back to it—and WOW. Everything changed. The performance is absolutely nuclear. The scent has fully macerated, and now it’s a powerhouse that fills the room. I even went into Sport Chek with just three sprays, and my mom could smell me from the other end of the store! The projection, longevity, and richness of this fragrance are insane. Gucci Guilty Elixir is now officially a beast and worth every star.

My favourite Gucci Guilty it smells so delicious. Would wear all day every day. Sophisticated, old fashioned powdery orris, subtle vanilla, pimento and slight Cabbage Patch Kid plastic forehead smell that turns into Bazooka Joe bubblegum (people keep saying root beer) in the dry down. It's similar to a bar of soap. Lavender. A more sophisticated and verdant Guilty Love without the salt. The spicy drydown lingers forever and it's a dream, the orange blossom like a sweet licorice root recalling Gucci Intense Oud, but with a more nuanced developing animalic and amber, more like a dry patchouli. It is not overpowering at all and you only need a few sprays. Drydrown could almost be described as a bitter lactonic. Wonderful. Truly masterful.

I’m a big fan of floral fragrances that feel masculine. In my opinion, every well-dressed, well-groomed man should definitely have a fragrance with this kind of DNA in his wardrobe. It smells very good, has strong performance, and feels like a special scent. The only criticism I have is that instead of a fresh floral, it leans more toward a dense, raw floral note — which is actually what makes it unique. The only reason I don’t have it in my collection is because I already own Pegasus and Reflection. For a regular user, having a third fragrance that overlaps in this way would be unnecessary, but if you’re a true collector, it could be evaluated differently.

I actually love this fragrance, but honestly i do get a headache everytime i wear it. People around me seem to love how it smells and it last! i think easily projects for about 6-8 hours, sillage is amazing as well. and it stays on the shirt until you wash it and on skin easy 18hours but becomes a beautiful skin scent by 12th hour, we cant be asking for more from a fragrance. but that headache inducing part it stays true with everything goin on with the fragrance. I do wear this one mostly indoors ( climate controlled) environment but basically where i m from it is always 30C plus and pretty hot and humid through and through.

My thing about men’s fragrance is that I never feel like they stand out enough, THIS ONE DOES. I often say I like things that “stink” and I’ve found that usually means I like those aggressive and slightly offensive scents that give 70s/80s grandma/grandpa vibes. Dated I guess lol, gotta be the orris. Out of the bottle this is so loud and assertive, but the dry down is a nice masculine and super herbal vanilla vibe. I was just really surprised by this and I didn’t think I’d ever NEED a Gucci scent but too many people have told me I smelled good today and it’s went to my head I fear. Also I love the bottle so bad.
