Osmanthus Nectar

oh I wish I knew where to start with this. I wish I was making it up when I say "the sales advisor left the bottle into my hands, said "try", and the second I took a whiff, a wave of electric went through me, from my shoulders all the way to the tips of my fingers". this genuinely brought my eyes tears the second I tried it. I have been YEARNING for a sublime perfume like this, for YEARS now. after the discontinuation of Lancome Tresor A La Folie, I had been on the hunt to find my "incredibly sexy, dark and mysterious scent". I just couldn't. yesterday I went to one of the biggest perfume department store in Istanbul and connected with a lovely employee. I told her what I wanted. After helping me try some other things, she asked if I ever checked Gucci's special fragrance collection, and my answer was "no". This was the first perfume she gave me to check out. I smelled it, a wave of electricity went through me, and it genuinely made me tear up as this was the scent I'd "go to war" for. The war was finally over. And there the Empress was, named "Osmanthus Nectar" by Gucci. Right from the first second you just KNOW this is the "sexy time" fragrance. it's incredibly. it's a candied, but burnt candied nectar, with an incredible addition of osmanthus. the maroon colour of the bottle fits the scent profile like glove. the dry down turns into a peach with brown sugar. and on my skin it lasted at least 4-5 hours. sillage is great. the whole experience is incredible. just the other day I was saying I'd NEVER pay more than 300$ for a bottle of perfume, and even that was my top. This perfume said "think that again" as within only half an hour of meeting it for the first time, it was mine and we left the shop. I genuinely gave a hug of happiness to the sales advisor for this find. Every piece of the purchase of this masterpiece was a grand show in its own, and it was all lovely. Now lemme go fill in the customer satisfaction form the company sent in the morning about yesterday's in store experience too. This fragrance was the first one to introduce me to this special collection. And funny enough, even for a very picky customer like me, I left the store with the plan of my next purchase already, and having noted down a couple other names from this line ("Vanilla Firenze" comes to mind first, as an exm). I'm so happy my search for a dark & sexy is over with such a bewitching scent. Time to make people drop dead.

Love at first smell, later I will do a detailed review of this magnificent creation by Nathalie Lorson and it is automatically in my top 3 of this line, its performance above all has surprised me because the line suffers from having a "timid" performance for the most part, I haven't tried it in depth on my skin yet, but my husband put it on today and it lasted more than 8 hours and the hanging clothes still smelled almost like they had just been applied, a wonderful and fruity osmanthus with a peach aura, sophisticated and playful at the same time, that Tom Ford's Bitter Peach would like to have. Of the three new releases of this line, it is my favorite followed by Fiori di Neroli and Vanilla Firenze third, the latter I thought would be my favorite because I am a vanilla lover but there is a note like leather or something 'dirt' that does not allow me to enjoy it at 100%. Bravo for the new creative direction in the Gucci perfumery department, the two Gucci Guilty Love Edition 2024 are also great, let's hope the house continues on the right track.

Absolutely in love with this fragrance, I brought it in the beginning of December but I feel like it can be worn all year round. Projection, it feels the whole room....before you even enter it! Beautiful sweet floral (not your Grandma's floral), fresh and clean smell. I got excited and over sprayed the 1st time I worn it but for future reference, 1-3 sprays is more then enough to last all day. It reminds me alot of Soie Malaquais Dries Van Noten, which is on my top 5 all time fragrance, it is similar in the smell and they fall in the same family but both unique enough to own both fragrances (SMDVN has a sweet almond note that makes it different from this one). I am in love and best perfume purchase of 2025. site note: My best perfume purchase of 2024 was Soie Malaquais Dries Van Noten!

Genuinely one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever laid my nose on. It’s realistic peach and apricot pulp with slightly spicy, aromatic tea. Sweet, woody, and velvety smooth. Perfectly unisex and appropriate for any occasion. I couldn’t stop thinking about it and went back to the department store multiple times to smell it. It would 100% be my signature scent if it wasn’t so expensive. But I couldn’t resist and had to buy a bottle anyway. Projection and sillage is moderate (which I actually prefer for this scent profile) and longevity is great on my skin. I have truly never smelt anything like this and it will FOREVER be in my collection. I’ve owned it for 2 days and it’s already in my top 5. Thank you Gucci.

For me, this fragrance is pure sensory delight! It’s divinely soft, cozy, and enveloping, like an invisible silk scarf wrapped around you. Delicate apricot with a hint of sweetness unfolds beautifully, complemented by a refreshing tea note that adds a light, breezy touch. A gentle woody base and creamy lactonic nuance (thanks to the sandalwood, I believe) make the composition especially warm and harmonious. This is the kind of scent you want to wrap yourself in and never take off- made for comfort and pleasure. The longevity is truly impressive! I applied it to the back of my neck in the evening, and the scent was still with me the next morning 💪🏻

Nathalie Lorson is brilliant, and Osmanthus Nectar is a prime example of her work. Rather than leaning into the traditional leathery aspects of osmanthus, this composition highlights the flower’s fruity+floral character. It pulls ambery on my skin which I do not mind at all, I think its the Z11 HD accord used... It ultimately dries down to an elegant sweet sandalwood, with a floral nectary backbone. Out of the last fifty bottles I’ve added to my collection, this is honestly one of my favorites.

Love at first smell. A beautiful perfume. Opens fruity, like peach and apricot, very sweet, then mellows down over time. For me, the cardamom feels more like a base note, as I smell it most towards the end, alongside the sandalwood note and not in the opening. This lasts a very long on my skin, I would say well over 12 hours. I sprayed it once in the afternoon and I could definitely still smell the wonderful spicy/woodsy dry-down when I woke up the next morning.

Sweet and aromatic. Wasn’t expecting to like it this much but I just do 🤩 it’s beautiful and very different than any other scent out there and definitely different than the scents I usually go for. But this is a winner in my book 😍

The most leaning towards women fragrance of the line but I shouldsay that Bloomingdalws did not have full line. The rest among what they had from the line were mostly oudy and woody. I really liked this one. Classy fresh osmanthus.

This is a sweet osmanthus smell, very feminine. The dry down is slightly woody, but it has the peachy quality from the osmanthus that just doesn't add up with something woody and mysterious, it's more earthy than that. If you want a perfume that smells incredibly similar to this for a fraction of the price, and that lasts much longer, get Artemis by Soki London. In my opinion it's better: Greener, multifaceted and lasts much longer than this one. It's still a very nice perfume, but I do love osmanthus...

I’m mixed on this one. The opening is a knock-out-gorgeous apricot osmanthus. Maybe the best apricot I’ve ever smelled. The dry down is a disappointment to my nose, though. The distinct apricot fades, and what’s left on my skin is a generic and synthetic fruit, cardamom and sandalwood blend. I’ll give it more time, because Natalie Lorson is brilliant and this opening is so perfect, but it’s definitely one to sample on your skin before shelling out.

Very nice apricot smell with a blend sandalwood and cedar. But it's very quiet fragrance. I don't see the price being that high for so simple fragrance. It's beautiful and lovely to have in the wardrobe when you can afford it easily but it's not something to buy when you have definitely better scents for less price tag. Its super quiet fragrance for a daily wear on a hot summer day with a touch of juicy apricot.

The peach is lovely and it reminds me of a favourite childhood Fa deodorant (called Ice Tea). As some other commenters said, the osmanthus and tea notes with time gradually melt into sandalwood. Very nice. BUT: +300 euros for something that can be found for less than 3 euro? No.

Peach gelatine gummy scent bubble, with a lot of osmanthus near the skin. Not getting much tea atm. Nice enough scent, but if you're looking for fruits and osmanthis try DVN Fleur du Mal.

sweet sweet apricots and osmanthus flower. smells like a mix between sweet tea from osmanthus and an apricot compote. with some spices. reminds me of my childhood a bit

I enjoyed this on a test strip in store. I will revisit to sample on my skin properly.

Gucci’s Osmanthus Nectar is more a conversation between textures than a straightforward scent. It opens with a sharp, almost metallic pepperiness, sort of like the static crackle when you dry leaves rub together. A soft sweetness does start to unfurl gradually, not quite the syrupy sort, but a translucent honeyed peach juice, rippling through the rough edges. The sandalwood appears too, starting oh so jagged, like an unpolished surface, before time smooths it into something quieter, more worn-in. Floral notes weave through, not lush and blooming, but fragmented—spicy petals caught in the wind rather than whole blossoms. It’s an interesting scent, but its beauty appears more as fleeting moments of appeal, within a structure that never fully resolves. Wearable, but not anything particularly great.

I got a sample of this after smelling it in store and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Sadly, after wearing it a couple of times, it’s just not a wow. It’s lovely; apricot in a fuzzy soft sort of way, osmanthus bringing a floral edge that blends with the apricot, a warmth from the cedar wood somewhere in the background. But when you aren’t searching for the notes, it’s just a sweet apricot scent. It feels (dare I say) a bit cheap, I don’t think someone would think you’re wearing a £265 perfume. I do find it to last a long time on my clothes, but it doesn’t project much so I do become a bit nose blind to it. Glad I didn’t buy a whole bottle on the grounds that I loved it in store. My search for an osmanthus and tea scent continues.

The nice floral top notes quickly fade into a semi-synthetic, amberwoody drydown. Not sophisticated at all. Boring.

This is a beautiful scent, with a hefty price tag. I usually don’t like sweet or peachy fragrances, and make no mistake, this is A SWEET PEACHY fragrance first and foremost. Which means it’s leaning more feminine. But the cardamom, tea and osmanthus combo kept it interesting. Gave it a multi faceted warmth. I kept on smelling myself for hours while trying to convince myself it’s not worth buying. But I bought it! No Regrets. Not a safe blind buy. good projection upon spraying. Lasts all day on clothes.

Osmanthus Nectar by Gucci smells like osmanthus tea, green tea, peach pulp, smooth and fluffy sandalwood. I fell in love with this perfume instantly. I love tea scents, tea is one of my favorite notes. It smells perfectly balanced. Earthy tea, juicy sweet peach pulp, fresh tea leaves. It smells exactly like it's name: osmanthus and sweet peach nectar. Usually photorealistic tea fragrances are not very intense, but this one doesn’t have that problem.

At the Gucci boutique I sprayed Osmanthus Nectar on one wrist and the new Bloom parfum on the other. The opening of ON is wow, amazing, but doesn’t last long until the balsamic base became amplified on my skin. Interesting to me that balsamic base of Bloom parfum is similar to my nose. The perfumes are not similar other than that. Overall, I would have trouble choosing between them if I had to, but wow, the opening of this perfume is fantastic.

I was not fan of the initial opening. It smells as though there's ginger in here to add a warm spicy factor, but I don't see ginger listed in the note breakdown. I'm guessing its the sandalwood that's adding the spice quality. It smells smooth but I just wasn't expecting that to initially take over. The drydown is beautiful though. The osmanthus shines through during the drydown and lasts for hours on my skin.

Very beautiful peach/osmanthus scent with a balsamic undertone and a woody base. It projects very well, it remains fruity and dense for a long time. The amyris note can be a little too much at times but it makes it more special. There is tiny citrus note that also stays a long time. I see this scent can be cloying if overapplied, but it is truly beautiful if used correctly.

At first I'm noseblind to it. It smells like water. Then I get musk, and the barest hint of osmanthus. It's weird to me. It's like a skin scent from the beginning. If someone hugged me wearing this, I would be aware they were wearing a scent but I would have no idea what the notes were

was trying fragrances in the airport this october (as you do) and i sprayed this. a generous spray may i add. i have not been able to stop thinking about it! one of the most beautiful fragrances ive ever smelt i need to own this or idk what ill do

Best osmanthus scent I’ve tried yet. Has a peach tea vibe, very smooth. Sad part is the performance is abysmal. It’s a skin scent within 15 mins on me but it opens quite loudly and projects heavily for those first 15 mins then just goes ghost.

Selling a bottle of this. Sprayed about 5 times. Phenomenal but a little to sweet for me now that I’ve let it sit on my shelf for months. Won’t rip you off if you’d like to add this to your collection.

Leathery but bright apricot with a light floral lift to sweeten it. A tiny touch sweeter than I like but really really pretty without being Big White Floral or pink in any way. Very well done.

Smells alot like frangiapani to me. Also smells chemically, medicinal and very masculine. Put it on three hours ago and it still going... But yuck.

Love this! It is a sweeter more sophisticated version of Penhaligon’s Vra Vra Vroom, though it is like double the price!
