Clean, fresh florals ~ when I say clean, imagine it's refreshing greens with a tiny hint of floral...maybe white floral? as someone who adores L'Ombre Dans Leau, I can resonate with this one. Im a sucker for anything PEONIES but I dont get much peony in this one? nonetheless, I LOVE IT, and im considering to buy a bigger bottle. I feel Gucci always does bring out the best in their perfume line..(also Gucci pls bring back Gucci Parfum II and Gucci by Gucci EDP) UPDATE: this is my new signature scent. im bummed that it is sold out in my area and the waiting list for this perfume is now 2-pages long! i just love it so much i spray it on even before going to sleep. when i do spray it on my body, i'd take numerous sniffs on myself coz i love smelling it on me. people complimented me many times and i feel the perfume sings to me and calling my name hahaa..it's haunting as its name suggests! Oh GUCCI PLS DO NOT DISCONTINUE IT! UPDATE Feb 2025 ~ im still loving it. it's a gem, a rare find, it's 2025 now and i havent found any perfume that smells like it. =) also , i just discovered that Gucci Tears From The Moon won the 2023 Fragrance of the Year - Universal Luxury Category ... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

This is quite unique, I don’t think I can compare it to many fragrances, few that come across my mind that are slightly similar but yet still different. HFC Dancing Queen but it’s stronger than Gucci and slightly sharper, Gucci is much softer yet still has that slight spice sweetness that I remember from HFC. And also Kingkydise Laurent Mazzone Parfums but I think this one has more musk and citruses so again I do prefer Gucci over this one as well. Tears of the moon is very gorgeous, and absolutely ultra feminine fragrance and first fragrance from Gucci line I actually truly love and wear. I think the Lily of the Valley really adds that green quite note, softness and uniqueness to this fragrance that differs from other peony center fragrances. Also I would classify it as clean clean fragrances, it definitely has some slight spice and sweetness to it but just perfect amount not to be overwhelming. One down side is I don’t think it’s great performer, I get may be 4-6 hours before I have to reapply. All in all love it and definitely happy I bought it.

I love this scent, happiness in a bottle! It has a lightness and carefree vibe that is quite special, while being very sophisticated. The dry down reminds me of getting whiffs of a luxurious body cream from your skin throughout the day. It was on my wish list for years and I put off buying it because I let others’ opinions that it’s a high price point for this profile put me off. I eventually found it second hand but I wish I had bought it sooner - even though the notes might look generic, there is something special about it to me. If you like something, trust your gut. We are all different, and it not being worth it to others, does not say anything about what it will do for you. The joy I get from this scent is so worth it! Lasts fairly well on paper and skin and the bottle and box are pieces of art. I see similarities with Armani Privé Pivoine Suzhou, but they are each their own thing.

I finally got this in the mail! its a lightly powdery delicate dry rose scent to me. When I say delicate, I mean very delicate which may bake it lean feminine however there is no sweetness to this. Im getting less Peony and more Rose as the notes say Peony but it a very natural floral oil and not an imitation of a floral note. This is not a strong fragrance at all more of a skin scent. I do like this a lot thought, however it may not be a crowd pleaser or compliment getter.. you will never bother anyone with this even if you spray 100 sprays. Its a white linen type of scent but maybe fit for a queens bed... it does remind me of royalty. A white satin pillow of a princess or queen :) Very fluffy and dry like a coconut husk type of dry but balanced out with the natural light floral oils in it. Really worth trying if you like light, delecate white T kind of frags.

Admittedly, I’m a sucker for any floral. But this has to be my absolute favorite. I wore Coach Floral on the daily for years, and this is her more sophisticated older sister. It’s not at all an aged floral in my opinion, it’s very light and I’d say friendly for nearly all ages, while some florals can smell dated or age you. It’s a very fresh scent, you’re paying a lot to smell like you just took a shower and lit some candles, sprayed some rose water and walked through a garden of jasmine. It’s a very pretty scent, but quite light. There is no sweetness to it, it’s a dry floral scent. Fades nicely, and lasts many hours, but more of a skin scent than one you could smell projecting a mile away.

It has Feathery light kind of creaminess you'll get to beautiful florals notes. It is one of the most exquisite, elegant dainty floral delicately blends. its like melting naturally sweet floral dessert on my skin. I feel like if one of the floral note got amplified, the beautiful blend will be ruined. It changes my mood every time i wear it. I think it will make the bride look more ethereal and radiant if she wears it. The downside is it's price and longevity. I have to test them more. Please make a more affordable, better longevity version of it.

Such a gorgeous floral perfume. It’s very well blended and I can’t pick out one flower over the other. It’s delicate, has the perfect amount of sweetness from the florals. There is just a touch of powderiness. It’s a very feminine perfume and I always feel pretty when I wear this. Longevity and sillage are moderate, but for how airy and light it is, it performs surprisingly well. Every time I’ve worn this perfume I get compliments, it really is so very pretty.

This is an ethereal beautiful soft floral scent with very light citrus notes and a powdery feel. I agree with the previous reviews that it is not long lasting on my skin and does not have great silage beyond arms length; however I do find it to be potent for the first hour it is on. Definitely recommend a smell. Added this to my collection as I didn’t have any lily of the valley fragrances, and I also needed a new spring freshie.

I tried this at Gucci yesterday and from the scent pillow they had I got a delicate feminine cloud of powdery white linen in a light perfectly delicately blended way... "whoa, amazing" was my impression. I had to order it because they were out but I cant wait to get it. It could be a game changer which is why I forked over the 350 for it. To be contd.

Smooth and creamy white florals. Dreamy yet elegant at the same. This can be worn for any occasion. The subtle and delicate nature of this perfume requires multiple applications throughout the day. Smells best when applied on skin. 9/10.

It smells amazing. Really dewy and the right mixture of fresh and flowery. However it doesn’t last long and the price tag is just insane so I can’t justify buying it...

I don't expect designer brands to stop making Peony fragrances, given that they sell exceptionally well. But I do hope that the perfumers try to present the note in a novel and refreshing setting. Gucci Tears From The Moon and Creed Wind Flowers are two recent releases from established brands, both prominently featuring Peony. The Creed plays it incredibly safe and does absolutely nothing out of the ordinary, delivering a floral, caramelized perfume laying on a gigantic base of coumarin. Typical pink floral. You've smelled it hundred times before; you know which scent I'm talking about. The Gucci however, does start somewhat disappointing, but as it dries down I discover a wonderful take on Peony. The contrast of a floral note with lily-of-the-valley reminds me a lot of Dior Lucky, but not as much "zesty" and more delicate. What I LOVE about Tears From The Moon is that I smell next to no sweetness in it. Sure the peony itself does have a sweet accent, but it comes off in a totally natural and floral manner instead of a sucrose-type sweetness that I'm not really fond of. As far as relation to the moon goes, I'd say this resembles a waltz under the moon: peaceful and elegant but still with some energy, rather than a quiet alone stroll or romantic dinner under the moon which are more melancholic and mellow respectively.

This one from this line stand out to me maybe because of it simpleness, has a very sweet light floral scent, but it kinda nostagic in a way that makes me think about that one time I went to a picnic to watch the night stars in the cold forest that I didn't have. Anyway in a more simple term I think it's simple, skin scent, blooming flowers, good for everyday wear, suitable for those that want a soft, leaning feminine sweet light floral scent. But would not buy full bottle because of the price

Despite the beautiful bottle and name of this perfume, this is not in any way celestial or emulating "tears from the moon" in my opinion. It is a beautiful light peony rose fragrance with very subtle clean soap like nuances. There is something slightly watery about it. It's light, pretty, and feminine. I don't think it was at all worth the price because it's expensive as heck. I bought it on sale and tried a bit before eventually returning it that month.

the name does not match the smell. this is a rich, soapy, almost syrupy feminine floral. very “fresh out the shower” as someone said below. it’s a basic shampoo scent and may be too sweet for some, but I think it smells great and most men would love this on a woman.

Starts off pretty generic and messy Drys down to such a boring fruity floral something in the same family as irresistible givenchy and Attrape-Rêves LV Im a big fan of muguet an I absolutely don’t get any Its not bad but the price point is unbelievably ridiculous

If you are feminine, innocent and might cry if a Karen started an arguement in front of you, this might be your scent! Clean, intimate, innocent. Too pricy for its longevity, 2 hours max on me.

I really like this but if oversprayed it can give a slight dash of a hairspray vibe. Does resemble Bright Crystal but not the same sweetness. Mediocre lasting powder but better than BC.

This smells very melon-y to me-- like a similar vibe I get from Lancome Idole -- dewy sweet fresh warm.

On paper, very lovely. I was completely blind to the top notes for some reason, and smelled the bottom and they were sooo good. Soapy and then a musk at the end that was so good. I ordered it after smelling it in a duty free. I wonder if the blindness had been because I had been smelling other perfumes.. but the dry down was so beautiful on paper. I didn't spray myself because I wanted to smell how it developed on the paper in case I didn't like it, I didn't want to be trapped on a plane with it! It was so pleasant. Soapy and a light musk at the end. Then looking at the notes I thought I could imagine the opening, because I love white flowers. Well, I just received it in the mail and.... I don't hate it as in, need to wash it off but.. I just sprayed it on and it's been.. 45 minutes and it already smells stale. The elements are there. And very pretty. But there is a sharp note that someone above described as "magazine paper" and I know exactly what they meant. To me, that sharp note, like an out of tune violin, smells to my nose like pleather. I wanted to smell like a cloud. I wanted light and comforting. I feel so dumb for buying this blind! I can see it giving someone a headache. All the lightness of the Lily of the Valley is dragged down by this dense pleather smell. It's fleeting, but enough to turn me off. I am so glad I didn't buy a full bottle. It doesn't do the rest of the line justice and I have no idea what happened. It smells the same way on paper. Sweet, then pleather, then stale perfume. I am so bummed. I wanted to love this so much. Edited my harsh review.....99% of the reviews I read were positive and the other 1% are reviews saying it's nice, or ok, but too expensive. If the fragrance delivered and smelled magical, as I was anticipating, then the price would be worth it. I guess I assumed because it was the higher end of perfumes, it would be good. I might wear it to bed occasionally.

I was at the botique when they first brought out the bottle so I got to smell this before the employees did 😂 Florals and fresh but super feminine to my nose. The sales woman at the botique liked it but I could tell she didn't know anything about perfume (she tried to tell me that niche fragrances should be linear) so take that with a grain of salt. I got one spray on my hand and it lasted about 1.5 hours before it was gone. I'm getting close to giving up on this brand. Another 350 dollar disappointment from Gucci. This house is all style and no substance.

I had high hopes for this white floral blend. Whenever I get my nose on these types of scents, I always hope for naturals, but instead get stuck with synthetic, cleaning products aromachemicals. One day, I'll find something that stands above the rest. As it is, thus falls into "the rest" pile. Meh. Even if slightly better quality than other chemical white floral concoctions.

I got this as a sample with my purchase of Winter's Spring at the Gucci counter at David Jones at the Queen's Plaza Mall in Brisbane, which I love! (I'm talking about the Gucci scent here, though I love this high-end mall too with it's Chanel and Dior boutique.) I liked the opening of "Tears From the Moon" at first and I thought that it had a fairly pleasant smell, but that it really lacked any "oomph" to give it that extra boost. It's a very soapy, sweet and girly fragrance and smells like you just came out of the shower. I get a hint of citrus at the top, but it's more an almost sickly Glade rose air freshener smell. I guess that's the peony and the lily-of-the-valley mixing together. I don't think that it is a good combo at all and I usually love lily-of-the-valley. As it develops, it gets closer and closer to the skin rapidly, until you smell pretty much nothing just under two hours later. I would NOT spend more than $500 AUD for a perfume that hardly lasts at all like this and smells cheap. I don't know what Gucci was thinking with this...

The name Tears from the Moon already feels poetic almost abstract, like it belongs to a dreamy, “lunar” category of fragrances that are more about mood than structure. On my last day in the city, I felt this strong urge to buy a perfume something that would hold the memory of that place for me. The kind of scent you spray years later and instantly get transported back. The sales associate was very persuasive, insisting how beautiful it was, how much I would love it... and eventually, I gave in. And honestly I’m glad I did. The first time I wore it was on my first day at work, which makes the scent even more personal now. It carries that feeling of new beginnings, a soft kind of nervous excitement. The fragrance itself is very light, feminine, and delicate. It doesn’t try too hard it just floats. I would describe it as: • 🌿 Green, but in a fresh, clean way • 🫧 Slightly “shampooy” but the good kind, like freshly washed hair • 🤍 A subtle creamy softness underneath • 🌸 And a gentle touch of peonies, adding that airy floral elegance It’s the kind of perfume that feels soft around you, not loud or overpowering. Almost like a clean aura rather than a statement. I actually got compliments wearing it, which says a lot considering how subtle it is. If I had one complaint, it would be the longevity I do wish it lasted longer on the skin. But somehow, that fleeting quality also matches its character. It’s like a quiet moment... beautiful, but not meant to stay forever. Overall, it’s a graceful, comforting, memory-filled scent for me now. Not just a perfume, but a little piece of Edinburgh bottled up.

Notes listed are not complete. The base notes are missing, they are showing the beautiful top and heart notes. I smell incense and patchouli, just the faintest bit but it's there. So top notes are light clean and lovely. It's the dry down as usual, that doesn't work for me. Coco Mademoiselle base notes and it's mixed with the top notes but I still get the faintest ghost dry down it's the very very last notes of Coco Mademoiselle. This is wayyy lighter version so if you like that fragrance and it's just too strong for today's world or you work in healthcare but want that smell this is it. This is a wispy fresher ghost of that scent and suitable for healthcare. I don't like Miss Coco, don't like incense or patchouli but it's a crowd pleaser it seems.

This fragrance is very pretty, it really is like all of those from "reminds me of" section together but lighter and more transparent. Carefree, sweet (just the right amount of sweetness), pleasant. Dries down to a slightly sweet jasmine with a hint of musk. Lasts about 30-45 minutes. I've never tested a $450 bottle of Eau Fraiche (not even a cologne in my opinion) before. I picture a young wealthy woman in a flowy floral dress on a sunny morning heading down to the terrace in her mansion to have breakfast. She only needs this Eau Fraiche to last about 30 minutes because after breakfast she will be wearing a different fragrance heading to the city to do all those important but unnecessary things she needs to do :-D

Ultra feminine, that peony is intoxicating. Most people associate peonies as fresh flowers, but if you've buried your nose into one you would understand what it means to get drunk off of a flower. This captures the peony blooming right in front of you beautifully. I disagree with people calling this clean because I am understanding that to categorize this as fresh. I wouldn't call this a fresh scent. This is very floral forward from opening to dry down. It'd not even like you're holding a bouquet, it's like you have flowers blooming in front of you, behind you, right next to you, and you're smelling it all at once.

I got a sample of this a few days ago and tried it out, the initial opening was very floral, the jasmine and peony really took over, I first thought no way I can pull this off but after I let it settle for a few hours it was almost powdery with a very light musk note coming through, it did grow on me as the day went by and I really would consider buying a bottle, It is however a little more on the feminine side so it all depends how it sits on your skin. I would however highly recommend getting a sample to try if you can. It is very long lasting and the projection is great! It is for sure a complement getter!

This feels like a departure from the rest of the collection. The majority of the scents are quite evocative, fitting, with names like A Gloaming Night and Love at Your Darkest. Tears from the Moon is almost too pretty to fit in with the rest of her melancholy siblings. It’s a beautiful floral that starts off bright and airy, with a little green from the lily of the valley, and dries down to soft spiciness from the Stephanotis. The peony is very subdued here. While I really like the scent and the overall aesthetics of the collection, the longevity leaves much to be desired.

@Antoshka2 From the looks of your shelf of perfumes you own, you're not afraid of feminine leaning fragrances so why the archaic comment? All perfume is unisex and it is such a silly delusion to think otherwise. This is a beautiful floral bouquet that any man could rock if their fragile masculinity isn't at stake. We all have the right to smell good, and I think any man that wears peony or any other floral focused perfume is still a man through and through, just one that may smell extra divine.

It is not a unisex fragrance whatsoever. They’re just to do woke thing and not label them for men or women anymore but making life harder for their long-standing customers. Is is so politically incorrect to do a decent mens fragrance? Why is everyone labelling things that are clearly not nor ever intended to be unisex, as unisex? I’m so tired of blind buying ladies perfumes labelled as unisex.

smells like you're drunk and happy. lily of the valley is one of my favourite smells ever. the bottle is beautiful. it is way overpriced but i don't care because I smell amazing, but i have to do this one in small doses. I feel like it could be worn all seasons, honestly.

Light and unobtrusive. I got the sample and honestly couldn't identify any specific ingredients. It just smells like flowers. It's almost old fashioned, the way a lovely grandmother might smell. In a way of reminds me of Anais Anais.

Whoa, very pretty. I was wondering if the lily of the valley would be heady and it is not. To me, this is well blended. Sweet and juicy floral. There's something candy like to it, but its not cloying. I love this 9/10

Tears From The Moon, by Gucci, smells like peonies and Lily-Of-The-Valley. It is a very refreshing, floral, spring bouquet. The scent is very pleasant and very easy to like if you like refreshing floral fragrances.

Dominantly rose and peony to my nose. I put this in the same category wirh Irrésistible Eau de Toilette Fraiche by Givenchy and Pivoine Suzhou by Giorgio Armani.
