Vanilla Firenze

THE MOST ADDICTIVE VANILLA! Vanilla Firenze has THE BEST opening I have ever smelt! This is just an utterly gorgeous, resinous, warm and sweet, Coca Cola/myrrh & vanilla. It’s cosy, comforting and extremely addictive. The bottle is also a stunner. 10/10! The let down for me is this dries down to a skin scent. I can still smell it but it does become a lot fainter. I find it similar to Spiritueuse Double Vanille performance wise, although Vanilla Firenze is a much better scent by a long shot. I’m hoping it lasts on fabrics or gets stronger with time so I can justify the spend, but I ended up having to buy this because it is just so incredibly addictive, I just couldn’t not have it in my collection! I could literally bathe in this all day, every day! I’ve seen Vanilla Firenze compared to Black Tie EAU DE PARFUM, Lune Féline EAU DE PARFUM and Absolute Aphrodisiac. I have all of these and there are absolutely no similarities to my nose at all. It also bares absolutly no similarity to La Baguette. As for the rest of the “smells like” suggestions, this is just people trolling. In my opinion #Vanilla Firenze | Gucci" is a mix of Spiritueuse Double Vanille and 403 Myrrh Shadow which is slightly more aromatic, but very close. If you like this I’d highly recommend testing 403 Myrrh Shadow it is also gorgeous Overall I think it’s utterly criminal Vanilla Firenze doesn't have a much higher rating! This is so underrated! Out of all the vanillas in my collection, this is my favourite one! I truly love this and can’t get enough of it.

I saw the notes and ordered a decent immediately, then read the reviews and got all kinds of nervous... I shouldn't have, though, because after the first sniff, this easily became of of my favorite fragrances of all time. It started off as a surprisingly spicy vanilla, and eventually dried down to slightly smoky (though that could just be me) but otherwise almost photorealistic sticky-sweet scent of vanilla cola syrup, the kind they use in soda fountains. It brings back vivid memories of my first few nights working closing shift at a gas station, and smelling like dried soda syrup and new-job-hopefulness as I stepped into a the night air (after the local wildfire had been put out a few hours earlier, so there's still just a BIT of smokiness, but hey, it's Spokane, what are you gonna do?). It lasted FOREVER on my skin, even after a shower, without being too overpowering... I still wouldn't recommend it for office wear, though, just because I can see how some people may not like it. It's everything I wanted and SO much more, and if it weren't for the price point, I would go buy the full bottle now... Unfortunately, it costs half of a month's rent, so that's definitely not gonna happen outside of my dreams any time soon. Wait for me, Vanilla Firenze, my beloved!

I have been looking a perfume similar to Eau Duelle EDP by Diptyque. That has been my resinous benzoin cosy vanilla go-to for the longest time. There are people who will just keep repurchasing the same perfume because they know that it works for them and would rather stay there. My thinking is... These perfumes will either be classic and be churned out over and over if the demand is there... But if it is only a handful of people buying that perfume then it won't stand the test of time and perfume brands will eventually stop that particular perfume. I would like to explore fragrances of similar vein to what I like so to avoid disappointment. At the end of the day, it is a product that will cease to exist at some point in my life. We have to move with the times. These two paragraphs is a longer way to say, this is similar to a perfume I already love. Since I liked Eau Duelle, I also then liked this perfume. And it can be a replacement if they do stop Eau duelle's production. Eau duelle is a lot more nuanced and silent, but the myrrh and benzoin in this perfume is much more pronounced. It is distinct and if I pass by someone who wears this perfume, I will be able to recognise it. I love this perfume in the cold weather and the UK is never short of that.

Personally for me out of all the vanilla scents on the market I would 100% say this is the best SMOOTH and VANILLA PROMINENT fragrance. Gucci have clearly made this a mass appealing, simple, vanilla scent. The iris butter is a beautiful touch that allows for the vanilla’s sweetness to prevail. The black pepper and cardamom in this fragrance reminds me of the smoothness and spiciness of The Blazing Mr Sam Penhaligon's. This makes the fragrances more masculine leaning. The longevity is 7-9 hours for me and the sillage is moderate. This fragrance is beautiful but the price point is rather expensive. Neither less I am likely in the future to buy myself a bottle.

This is divine. It's rich and opulent vanilla with a boozy and earthy feel. It's not sickly sweet either. The cardamom gives it a chai tea vibe, and the longer I wear it, it reminds me of Dear Polly by Vilhelm... but better. I see it ranked as similar to Changing Constance and it is not at all. Constance is more caramely and goes cola with the cardamom. (I like it and own a bottle, but these two are like distant cousins several times removed.) It does very much remind me of World According to Arthur. To that point that I feel silly having both. Neither is cheap and they smell VERY similar... there are differences though. This is the richer of the two.

This fragrance smells like a cosy vanilla hug on a cool autumn night. I randomly sprayed this one when walking through Harrods not expecting to like it, but the sales associate said it was under-rated. And my God she was right. This is the most interesting vanilla I’ve smelt in a long time. I immediately bought in Heathrow Duty free the next time I flew without hesitation. I wish it wasn’t so expensive because this is the kind of fragrance I’d love to spray before bed.

a true vanilla. it's not nearly as synthetic as its peers, and its longevity genuinely astonished me. if applied in the morning, it will linger until the next day. there's a tinge of smokiness and depth from the myrrh, but it's not nearly as distracting or overwhelming as other similar formulas (e.g. spiritueuse double vanille). i layered this with changing constance and ascended into a higher plane of existence.

The opening on my skin at first scared me because on paper it was love at first sniff. Its been at least 4 hrs since iv sampled and i can still smell the silage, the dry down is sugary sweet vanilla, very warm, yummy and comforting. The spices in the opening did startle me a bit, its all i picked up on at first but the dry down makes this scent worth it.

Vanille Firenze is a beautiful myrrh vanilla profile. To me it is quite close to Celine Black tie but with a slight myrrh twist. It's equally light but ever present. If you own Black Tie this may be a bit redundant but there are differences enough to warrant a full bottle.

Cheeky vanilla... This is not your usual vanilla, it's spicy, amberic, and herbal vanilla... Myrrh. chili, and boozy vanilla It reminds me allot of "Anima Dulcis" by Arquiste with it's chili sweet vanilla. Beautiful.

Not exceptionally unique in the dry down. However, this remains one of the baddest vanilla fragrances I can think of to date.

Ignore the smells like section, this is closest to Roja Enigma Pour Homme.

Interesting vanilla scent. I usually don’t go for vanilla or sweet-smelling perfumes, but this was interesting. I immediately picked up on the vanilla and black pepper, and it was smokey! It smelled sparkly, like a Vanilla Coke beverage. I can see this being worn by an elegant and professional 40+ years old woman (although it is unisex), and in the fall/winter. Like some have said, I think this is one I’d wear to bed because it smells cozy and comforting. It is still too sweet for me overall, and at $400+, I won’t be buying this.

Finally got my hands on a sample of this as I’ve been curious. I knew off the bat from reading prior reviews it wasn’t going to be a super sweet vanilla, which I’m fine with. I sprayed it a couple hours before bed, and instantly thought of a friend of mine who’d love this and wouldn’t ever wear vanilla. It reminded me of something she wore when I first met her, and tbh it leaned on the masculine side on me, just a bit. What I got mainly upfront was a heavy dose of vetiver, which I don’t mind, but it seemed to overpower the vanilla, which turned quite green and wasn’t able to detect the boozy bourbon vanilla I hoped. To be fair, I had been testing sweeter stronger vanillas the past few days before, but the vanilla I continued to sniff wasn’t boozy or smoky as I had hoped, just a bit spicy. It wasn’t bad by any means, but just not feminine enough for me. It’s a nice scent for colder months and it’s definitely dark and mysterious. The vanilla unfortunately didn’t really mark its territory until the dry down hrs later in which I detected a boozy semi sweet vanilla that smelled beautiful. I’ll give it another shot for sure, but think I may have better luck with one of the florals I ordered from this line. I do recommend any man that’s into vanillas and /or vetiver (though it’s not listed) to give this a try. On the plus side, I’m glad I don’t love it cause it is (like all the ones in this line IMO) overpriced. Beautiful bottle but not worth $400+

Dear Fragrantica team, please list the accurate notes! You are missing many notes. So, finally I got to give this new creation a shot, and I have mixed feelings. Overall, the smell is pleasant and gives the luxurious vibe. However, it is (especially in the opening) too close to BDK Gris Charnel. There is a rather prominent cardamom accord, which I personally like a lot, but I think it performs way too similarly to BDK. I like BDK so I do like Vanilla Firenze, but the question is, should I invest about 400 euros in a similar scent? Especially that it is not something extraordinary. It is nice, but that's about it. The cardamom note vanishes in a few hours and mostly vanilla remains. In fact, ONLY vanilla remains towards the end. And this I find it to be a little too plain and too simple (given the myriad of vanilla options on the market currently!). You could find a cheaper, no worse vanilla scent. Not a safe blind buy at this price point, but if a person loves vanilla and cardamom it is a safe bet!

Super sticky sweet resinous vanilla scent. Solely appropriate for Autumn/winter wear. IMHO.

Its scent is deep and calming.

A non-offensive basic vanilla and amber scent. I am also picking up some woody notes, the gucci website reiterates the bourbon vanilla in the base notes so I guess I’m smelling a slightly earthly vanilla pod smell? I agree with others that it has a gentle smokiness to it (thankfully nothing too strong as I really dislike smoky scents) and its pretty dry probably due to the orris (or maybe a secret hidden leather note in here?). I was expecting a bit more of the amber to show through but the vanilla is most dominant. It’s a fine scent, I was expecting a bit more intensity but it’s a fairly soft and linear. The dry down is nice, I like it–FBW, however? I don’t think so, but the packaging and bottle design is simply gorgeous. I’ll finish up my sample (much to my demise it’s one of those dipstick samples so I imagine I’ll probably spill this everywhere!) and update if I change my opinion on it. Also the smells like section is a$$, this bears no resemblance to gentle fluidity gold, raghba, or changing constance.

Nuance on top of major mature smokey calm that Vanilla Firenze. Amazing Black Pepper and heavy Cardamom in the abundant opening, bitter, woody, starts off smokey. Recognize the The Alchemist's Garden in this, very mature, important, builds a nostalgic sweet segment, slight bonbon Cola like, think Enigma Roja. Classic, way way modern and novel. Balanced resins kept in check at elegance level, clearly all high quality ingredients. Get the Vanillas blend more in the mid on, dry, definitaly an acquired taste, personally can't get enough of it, amongts the complete black label part of the collection, get mature nostalgic with the perfect neatness to it. Very much pleased with the nonsafe blind buy, accurate Fragrantica pyramid but recommend checking out Gucci for detailed.
