Aqua Allegoria Florabloom

(Here are some scents I love so you can tell if we share similar tastes which I feel affect a review so much; Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense, Aquatic Vanilla Dossier, Floral Marshmallow Dossier, CH Good Girl Blush, Fame Women Paco Rabanne, Burberry Her Intense, Alien Goddess Mugler, Soleil Blanc TF, Lost Cherry TF, Mod Vanilla Ariana Grande, CK One/Be) This is a FANTASTIC scent. I love violet so much, especially when it is so well done such as in this fragrance. It's powdery, however not overly so, and has a sweet facet due to the tuberose I can't get enough of. If I had to choose, the opening is my least favorite because of the lime, but the drydown is just so so lovely! To me this also smells sorta nutty, like a walnut. The sandalwood is to me what makes this scent so much more sophisticated than say Paco Rabanne's Fame (women's). The mango is 100% there in the beginning, however it takes a back seat the more this perfume dries down. The coconut is also there, and it's the kind I love which is more nutty as opposed to green. I have a sample of the Forte version, however got this as a gift and I have to admit I think I like this one a bit more. The forte version is slightly more mango forward, and definitely less nutty, but it is also creamier. A love at first sniff, perfect for summer.

The coconut drydown has an addictive butteriness. Florabloom opens with fruity florals. I can't pick out specific fruit or flowers but it is bright and pretty, slightly creamy. The top notes disperse quickly and what is left is an odd, salty and musky base. It is odd, almost plasticky, somewhat sunscreen like, and I believe it may be whatever is used to create the coconut. The synthetic aquatic salt coconut becomes prominent, like a creamy coconut conditioner, still a little sweet and a little floral. Thankfully, the salt fades significantly becoming a background facet of the coconut. (Salt notes turn my stomach, but I don't mind it here at all, it actually adds substance to the fragrance.) Florabloom was a mild, appreciative 'like' that turned into a love. I became so enamored with the coconut that I bought a bottle. This is not loud, but the scent will stay for hours and hours on skin and days on clothes or hair.

I don’t usually gravitate towards scents that have Flowers/florals in the name, because flowers just don’t sound that appealing to me. But I got a free sample of this, and it blew my mind immediately. If the longevity proves to be decent, I will buy a full bottle of this ASAP. It reminds me a little bit of D&G dolce garden, which is another one that gives floral vibes, but is actually very sweet and coconut forward. I think it’s the coconut in both that calls my name. This one is very creamy and polite and sooo pleasant. I get a whiff of sunscreen, powder and coconut, but some flowers too... It’s a little odd choice for autumn, this would absolutely rock in the summer, but I think I need this right away in m collection.

It's floral, it's fruity, it's zingy, it's happy and carefree. Use it heavily, often, and don't expect to keep it for five years. When it's gone, it's gone, and we move on to the next. These are the kind of notes that turn fast and it would be a pity not to use it if you have it. Because of this feeling of lightheartedness, of happiness, it's great on sunshine days, applied right when coming out of the shower. It's not meany to be seductive or for a party night, it's meant to help you hum on the way to work or for that ice cream with the girls.

omg I love this!!!! this is a perfect combo of tropical fruits with different kind of florals smells like an everyday easy reach fragrance! I bought the forte version first but found a bit too intense for hot weather but the edt is so perfect, not as muksy as the forte version, the forte version do smell stronger (you have to spray less as well) while the edt is so much better imo! a love for me. The tuberose is also much stronger here while the mango in the forte version is much more heavier on my skin~ I got 3 compliments from my colleagues~

Hyper-femme, sweet, floral explosion that reminds me so much of early 2000s Barbie movies for some reason. Almost purchased, but apparently either Tuberose, or something in the top notes, doesn't sit well on my skin. 3 I sprayed this perfume on the back of my left hand at around 1pm, and kept getting strong whiffs of it until I fell asleep around 11pm... and that's with washing my hands 3 times. The dry-down is lovely, and does actually melt into my skin really well, so I might still end up buying it some day anyways c:

I had to ask my colleague what she was wearing as I really liked how it smelled on her. Then I tested myself on my skin. For me, this is creamy and clean scent with somewhere between floral and fruity/slight pleasant sourness. Although the scent profile is quite different, it reminds me of Blanche Bete. I don't think I would have chosen this by reading the notes listed. I never guessed mango, for example. But I love this feminine clean profile with a little bit of sourness. Very positive surprise find!

This one smells exactly like NR Ambrée on my skin. Not really aquatic, but thick and creamy, as someone else already said. I love Ambrée since it smells tropical and is ideal for summer and this is not different. Nice, creamy summery scent, which can actually be easily worn all year round. I wonder why no one mentioned Ambrée before as its almost the same scent... Longevity is good and people around me picked up the scent from a distance so the projection is amazing. 9/10

To me, this one and the forte version also smells kind of perfume-y, but not in a bad way actually. They are such nice, feminine scents. I tried the forte one first and I loved it, but then I got a sample of this one and I might love this even more. This is maybe a bit fresher, cleaner, less artificial. Longevity is also pretty good.

I’m obsessed with this, it is so fruity and tropical and perfect for summer. It’s so hard to find a tropical fruity fragrance that doesn’t smell cheap but this is the perfect one!! For an eau de toilette the lasting power is insane and I can smell it for hours.

This is a gorgeous coconut and flower blend. I get mainly coconut from this, with a powdery iris and flowers somewhere in the background. I don’t get any tuberose AT ALL. It melts into a soft musk and stays close to the skin after a few hours.

It looks boring but I like this kind of scent ahhaha

This is somewhat different from the entire auqa allegoria family. It's heavier, thicker and more creamy. It is definitely a summer scent. The coconut note is very prominent so if you don't like it, don't hope that you won't feel it. I cannot get any citrus vibes there unless I smell the acutator. But once sprayed, this tiny citrus hint is gone. As a loyal fan and collector of iris scents, I can say Florabloom isn't in it for the iris. Neither do I pick up violet but I allow the thought that it is so deeply blended in and hidded begind the tuberose and coconut. It resembles coconut-shea butter body scrub quite a lot. I do pick up some mango which adds this tropical touch to it. Overall it is very girly, romantic and summer beachy. Not a serious scent, not for official engagements or office. It is also a scent oriented at a younger crowd. To my taste, it is a little generic and resembles body care products a little too much. I would want to smell like perfume, and not a body cream/scrub. It is an intimate scent, there is no projection, but to be fair aqua allegoria isn't known for the beast mode performance anyway. So nothing new here. If you are going to Cuba for your next summer holiday with the girls, Florabloom could make a good companion. That's all I can see this being used for.

The Aqua Allegorias aren't sophisticated, but they're always beautifully realistic (as such I like to enjoy them as scents rather than perfumes). This one smells exactly like those elegant chinese-taiwanese summer desserts: fresh mangos with coconut milk, pearls, jelly. So that gives me joy. Despite the mango-coconut pairing, the scent doesn't turn into some dessert-ish fruity gourmand since much of the creaminess comes from that beautiful bouquet of powdery flowers. I appear to lack the finesse to discern each individual flower, even the rose, which is rare for me, so that part intrigues me, my nose isn't too bored. And there's also a sort of refreshing, watery, watermelon scent impression I can't shake. If this were a musical piece, it would end on fresh, upswinging notes. Just like all her other sisters, Florabloom has two faces, no more, no less. And yes, her opening is beautiful, but... her maturation cloying. On second thought, maybe she's not so realistic as I thought, since I could never get sick of *real* summer mango treats...

I loved the Forte version of this. I got compliments when I wear it. But the weather is now getting warmer and I found it too strong and sticky, and probably not very office friendly anymore. So I wanted to try this EDT. Initial spray around my neck brought definitely the same joy and vibe as the Forte version. However it is more citrusy and fresh. It is very likeable for sure. Then I thought to spray it on my wrist to be able to appreciate its transition better and easier. That is when the BUT cut in for me... It is much less sophisticated than the Forte one. I found it even kind of boring and similar to a lot of cheaper brands... when the initial citrusy floral freshness gone, the soapy smell is definitely rushing up. It took a little time to dry down to a sweet coconut candy like base, which is again pleasant and Geurlain like to me. Overall, I still like it, just less sophisticated and more bubbly than the Forte.

It is quite nice. To me, it is similar to Coconut Fizz (which I have). It is basically a bit more floral (tuberose) version of Coconut Fizz. I do not smell the mango, which is a pity since I was hoping for it. If you have Coconut Fizz, I think you don't need this, and if you are amongst those who mourn the discontinued Coconut Fizz, you can definitely find a nice replacement in Florabloom.

This is a good perfume, but I feel like it's kind of a mess of floral and creamy smells put together, which, to me, is a slight bit too cloying to my nose. Guerlain perfumes are high quality, but I would say this perfume isn't as good as their other fresh line-ups.

I really like this one! It's fresh and coconutty and flowery. It's like a better version of dolce garden and coconut fizz. I feel like this one is more creamy coconut rather than coconut fizz. Nice and fresh ❤️

My SA sent me samples of both EDT and EDP, I like both but prefer EDT little better. I don’t think they smell similar and wish they were stronger Very light and don’t last, they will be appropriate for summer.

A humid scent. Getting out of a long shower in the summer time after shaving, lotioning, etc. You're hot, but clean. I'm a fan.

Very bland and linear for a tuberose scent.

Omg I HATE it! There are way too many notes going on at once. It’s overly floral and sweet and I had a headache within 15 minutes of wearing. This would be a wonderful introductory Guerlain scent for a 16 year old. It’s not that it even smells bad, it’s just way too intense and cloying. It packs quite the punch and it doesn’t really have any complexity to me. It also smells quite dated to me. I’m actually fairly surprised this is a 2024 perfume. This smells like something from the early aughts , but I can’t put my finger on it—maybe an Escada scent(?). Anyway, not for me. Can’t believe I’m saying this about a Guerlain, but I hate it.

I tested this today. My SA was so excited to show me this and I am so... Underwhelmed. This was an extremely bland milage of flowers that just didn’t smell good to me. Very much a toilet freshener in a slightly upscale public bathroom. It was an immediate no to such an extent that I didn’t even spend time with it to pick apart the notes like I do with some of the things I’m on the fence with. I don’t know what else to say, I’m rather disappointed.

There is something very very off in the initial spray of this... it smells like tyres. Rubber and tyres. I was putting off wear testing my sample of this because the initial spray when I first smelt it was off. It projects from a tyre scent to sweet floral which is ... okay? Boring. Not the best. The mango doesn’t work well with it. Didn’t hate it but I can’t get over that initial smell.

Hmm. I really wanted to like this one, as I'm currently loving powdery fragrances, but Florabloom is just too much. I can't discern any of the individual notes. There's no "journey" so to speak. Upon spraying, it's just a cloud of powdery "perfume" smell. Honestly it reminds me of Axe body spray, but maybe more feminine? I could maybe see a teenager liking this.

"Humid scent", I agree. Almost aquatic in the opening. Not too citrusy and I can smell mango too which adds sweetness. However there's also an underlying bitter note that ruins it for me and makes the scent rather mature and masculine. I blame for this either wood or iris-violet-rose combination. I am yet to find a Guerlain fragrance that would work for me.

Smells like I’ve got melted raspberry ripple ice cream on my skin that’s getting warm and sweetly-sticky as it dries, then someone’s sprayed a pink air freshener and it’s all too synthetic and cloying.

Mango coconut hairspray. Kinda reminds of what some hair salons smell like but not in a good way

Of course it isn't a groundbreaking innovation. But the thing with Aqua Allegoria as a series is that they rarely give any kind of bombastic newfangled scent experience. What they give instead is an opportunity to smell like nice and fancy flowers and plants- and I'm happy with that! Florabloom's scent profile has been done before across the designer (and niche) sectors. But I would still pick it over those others as I find it to be noticeably high quality. I never get anything screechy or harsh from it (though I do admit its absolu counterpart absolutely does have a harshness to it), and the notes are well blended enough to avoid smelling 1 singular thing the whole time. If it was just mango or just tuberose, it would be pretty blah. In the hot weather, the tuberose is flying super high with the coconut accentuating it really nicely. I don't detect violet or iris as such, instead I get an impression of them in the pleasant, musky & powdery dry down. Nice perfume, very nice- not wonderful or mindblowing etc etc, but that's all good with me.

This is veeeery vintage to my nose and I’m closing in on my mid 40’s! My great aunt wore Wind Song (if my dad is to be trusted), but also smelled of random scented body powders and soaps wrapped with little French baroque printed papers. This smells, not like any one scent, but more like her atmosphere. What her bedroom smelled like. She was born in 1926. I love many truly vintage fragrances (Mitsouko is one of my top 5), but this is too much of the stuffiness of a real life home of an old woman. I know. The ridiculous “old lady” reference. In my case, it truly resurrects a lovely woman with good taste in fragrance. I just don’t want to smell like her polyester trousers. 🤷🏻

Ι'm not so into this line but I'm here to mention my find! I discovered that the recent release by Guerlain "Aqua Allegoria Florabloom" (2024) is almost identical (95%) to Zara's "Gleam of the Moon" which was released a year ago (2023) and sadly has been discontinued!!! Even though the notes are completely different the end result is very close. (Let's say we have a dupe from Guerlain here of a Zara perfume! 😅 LOL) I do prefer GOTM over Florabloom because it's creamier (suntan-like) and more lactonic, rather than heavy on flower and sharper as the latter is, but nevertheless is a great alternative. BYE

I live in Jakarta, Indonesia. The weather here is humid, and I like how it smells on my skin. It smells soapy with creamy and floral scents, and I love it. I don't know how it smells in a cold climate or on other people's skin, but I like how it smells on me. There is a similarity in the floral soapiness that I smell in it, similar to what I get from Hermès Un Jardin sur la Lagune. I like both, but this one smells fresher, maybe because of the fruity notes they added, although I can barely smell them. I guess they're just there to add a little freshness to the scent.

first impressions: fruity sweet, creamy neroli. the creaminess is coming from the coconut, with some soft non-indolic tuberose bridging with the freshness of the neroli. the opening is a lot like a nice drugstore body lotion or deodorant. nothing special. but as it dries down on my skin, the fruity sweetness turns a bit candy-ish, like a guava candy, and the neroli turns into some clean muskiness.

For me this scent captures the creamy, coconut, floral part from Blanche Bete. Since Blanche Bete it is in my all time favourites, I love Florabloom aswell. I prefer to wear it on itself when it's warmer outside, or to layer it with Blanche Bete when it's colder. I can also see why this is a polarizing scent, you must try it on skin first, do not blind buy!

I kid you not!! This is CURIOUS BY BRITNEY SPEARS I'm not taking a piss and I'm not trying to offend. Guerlain of course is nicer quality, but if you can't pay £120 for this edt then get yourself CURIOUS for £15 it WILL scratch the itch. Powdery fruity tuberose!! Sephora Spain is doing a prelaunch on this perfume. I tried it and I wasn't impressed to be honest. It is true to the name for sure, smells like a big bouquet of flowers. Natural smelling tuberose, powdery purple flowers and little bit of rose. I can see ladies who like Miss Dior or J'adore kind of feminine scent profiles will like this too.

The smooth floral and salty combination is perfect for the summer! I loved wearing this in the warmer weather and on vacation, it’s appropriate for day and night. Also, for an AA, this fragrance lasts forever! I could still smell it a day later on my skin! This is a great quality piece and I’m definitely buying another bottle when I run out.

Beautiful, natural smelling fruity tuberose. Vacation in a bottle, flirty, sparkly and super feminine. I get mango, coconut, banana and a mix of flowers with a dominant tuberose note. It follows the trend of bubble gummy tuberose like My way and Paradox but without the nasty ambroxan and other synthetic notes that ruin those scents for me.

According to the notes on fragrantica I couldn't wait to try this one and I anticipated I will like it a lot.... Sadly on my skin is giving off the worst toilet freshener chemical smell + th3 faintest reminder of the sweetness of "Thank you next" I guess it just doesn't work with my skin? What a shame

I've just tried it. In Sephora Spain is already available. A fruity-floral mess. A tuberose in the vein of Twilly, soft, creamy, sweet, with a big mango push in te opening and coconutty basenotes. It lacks the Twilly sophistication. Vulgar. Guerlain has to change their artistic vision.

Looking at the notes, this is something I was supposed to like but somehow I don't. It's different from the others in this line, for sure, but somehow I think they put too much stuff in it and it didn't mix well. I can't tell what it is, though... all I know is that it's not for me.

Wow! This one is so good 🤤 To me and my nose this smells like if Kilian's Moonlight in Heaven and Blanche Bête had a child 😍 The juicy mango with the creamy coconut is mouth watering! Perfect for summer ☀️I highly recommend checking this beauty out!

I received a sample from Guerlain. It smells good. A fruity, juicy floral that reminds me of (not a dupe) BBW Sweet Pea but better quality. It's nice but too youthful for my personal preference. It's perfect for 20 - 30's

I love this scent. Just beautiful and the dry down is gorgeous. Refined and feminine. Not sure why the other reviewers complained but maybe they are just a little too technical. I like the EDT better than the Forte EDP.
