Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver

This entire line keeps surprising me. They've released a lot in such a short time, making it difficult to keep up, but I make sure to check them out whenever possible. They consistently strive for a natural, organic theme, and they've executed it exceptionally well with this fragrance too. First impression, I immediately get a fresh, pulpy, bitter, green opening. I love fig leaf, it's an underrated note with very cool unique qualities. This opening lasts for quite some time before gradually going into heavy neroli flower. The rose does a lot to brighten up the neroli into a floral direction, neroli by itself reminds me more of a citrus flower. So it comes off as very rich pollen flower covered with bees. But that's not all.. a very surprising combination was that rose along side the fig. It reminds me of the milky substance that seeps from an unripe fig when you pluck it from the branch. It's tacky and lactonic, not like the fruit itself. With that rose that seems to emit the iconic haze. But as mentioned before, neroli is more present. However it's giving a beautiful floral lift that neroli isn't capable of doing all by itself. All that combined with the fig gives me a smell reminiscent of a refreshing moisturizing day cream. The vetiver is very grassy, built on top of cedars. The tonka bean might contribute to the "lotion" effect I mentioned earlier. it's also getting very close to an bamboo shoot accord to me, but I couldn't call it fully. What makes this fragrance even more impressive is its longevity. Despite its light and effervescent quality, it lasts much longer than expected. I got about 8 hours out of it, which is quite impressive. Guerlain has been releasing some artistic pieces recently, and this entire line is a breath of fresh air for everyone that's very deep into fragrances. Honestly this is so uplifting and pleasant and organic feeling. Amazing.

Gorgeous. I greatly prefer Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver to the much pricier Neroli Plein Sud, which had a bit too much cumin or some other funky-sweat spice in it for my preferences. Here the neroli is very strong in the beginning and remains so for some time, especially on fabric, but it subsides a bit to reveal a succulent fig note and some lovely green floral accords, combined with creamy tonka. This is a wonderful choice for hot, humid weather--like a gulp of lemon-lime soda when you're parched--but I also foresee wearing it in cooler weather, when I just want to give myself a little olfactory vacation. After about 11 or 12 hours, it turns into a skin scent, but it's a very, very good one, like lingering traces of a good clean soap. I was relieved that the fig note wasn't too dominant; I think I get more of the fig leaf and the petitgrain on my skin, along with the cedar. I don't get too much vetiver, but maybe that's just part of the general green accord. Update: I smell the vetiver more today--dry, smoky, grassy, and perfect. Update: I keep puzzling over the unaccountably low score for this one. Below a four? This modern masterpiece? I think it might be the vetiver, actually. We are living in a lamentably anti-chypre period right now, when grown-ass women prefer to smell like cotton-candy and marshmallows and caramel apples over mysterious witchy forest smells, like moss and grass and pine sap. This troubles me not at all because we are a fickle and reactionary species. Someday, I predict, the true worth of AA Forte Nerolia Vetiver will be apparent to all.

I absolutely adore this! A wonderful warm, bright, sultry scent. Opens with the bright Neroli and then dries down beautifully with the fig and vetiver shining through. Last ages on skin and an eternity on fabric. I had tried a sample of the Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver last year and really enjoyed it however - - I found it to be 'fleeting' - - after the very beautiful Neroli opening, it disappeared quickly which for me personally, was disappointing and hence, not full bottle worthy. This Forte version - this is the one I was looking for! It has so much more depth, much better longevity and leaves a glorious but never cloying sillage. I think the dry down is sublime. I feel that the opening is still wonderful and the Neroli is still very much present but the secret here is the fig and vetiver combo which add a sweet, sultry base that sings on skin and lasts much, much longer! Beautifully blended, vibrant, sophisticated scent which I hope Guerlain keep in their range for many a year 🙏 10.12.23 - Update - I've now just ordered my second 200ml refill of this. Wasn't sure how it would perform in the Scottish cold winters - it absolutely shines! It's warm in the winter and cool in the summer - day or night. It layers beautifully with other scents as well - always present but never over powering. This is now my signature scent and I'm planning many a back up refill! I really do hope Guerlain keep this one. It's bloody marvellous! My search for perfection ends.. right here! 💜 I feel complete.

Just got my bottle. More sweeter in a perfumed way than what I anticipated, I think I felt the rose when I first sprayed but drying down it’s so well blended it just adds a sophistication of femininity. I keep getting wafts of an almost edible deliciousness the tonka with the fig. It’s delicious. It’s probably more warm than the original which I’ve yet to smell, although I’ve just ordered a 200ml refill bottle of that for a bargain price in eBay. I am going to compare better then. So far it’s fresh but warm and very sophisticated. High quality. Yummy and delectable in a refined French way. The dry down is vegetal with an infusion of neroli and a warmth of tonka bean. The description of a velvety fig accord is accurate. I can feel the tastiness of fig and the tonka and the rose I think adds some perfumed floral elevation to it though it doesn’t stand out as rose...It’s really delicious. This is very addictive I just hope I like the original as much. Have to report back that this is GLORIOUS. Subtly sexy sweet. Slightly earthy and vegetal but this makes it more natural. So refined. This is my first ever Guerlain purchase. I smelled some of the mon guerlains recently and now understand why they’re so popular. This perfume though, wow it’s an aphrodisiac. Sexy, erotic and classy.

Alright ladies and the few gentlemen whom visit this listing... I'm a gentleman and I LOVE this one...and Oud Yuzu. They both to my nose smell extremely unisex. Oud Yuzu is definitely unisex. I can see this being labeled towards the ladies though. So how does it smell? There's a tale of basically two halves with this one... The first half is the very green, bitter opening of what I assume is the petitgran and fig leaf...a very slight zing of the bergamont may help open the perfume. It is the part of this that people may certainly wrinkle their noses at. The second is the mid to base dry down...the Neroli and it's creaminess start to be detectable along with the fresh fig, not ripe, but fresh. And then after a bit this version of Guerlain vetiver makes itself known. After a few hours this melds into what I guess some super high end soap smells like. Gone is the smoky, rooty, almost dirtiness of the vetiver of Guerlain Vetiver. It's replaced by the often talked of but hardly ever smelt soapiness of the vetiver. Unlike Oud Yuzu (😭) this fragrance lasts for hours and radiates really well in high heat. I blind bought both of these Forte creations for the reallllllly hot summer that's been a part of Illinois seemingly almost all summer...

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver is a fragrance that I fell in love, distanced myself from, and fell in love with again. Out of the four Nerolia Vetiver fragrances, this is the best. Perle is too weak, the base is too simple, and Harvest deviates too much with the honey (though, it smells good as well). Forte succeeds because it takes the basic formula of neroli & vetiver and elevates it with a fresh, citrus opening that, thanks to the fig, becomes creamy as it settles. Once it has settled, you are left with a juicy, earthy green scent that will last you throughout the day. When I first purchased it, I was immediately captivated by the neroli-fig combination. After wearing it throughout a spring-time trip to a humid country, I sort of lost interest in it for the summer and it has sat dormant since then. Thanks to a heat wave, I have broke it out again and fallen in love with it once more. Superb and of the high quality you would expect from Guerlain. 9/10

I can totally see why people in general would be hating on this as Neroli is an acquired taste, indeed. I'd say it's one of those marmite things, you either love it or hate it, nothing in between. Similar with Tuberose. A headache inducing mess for some, a totally heavenly bliss for others. I happen to love Neroli and Petitgrain mix which vetiver balances the quirky green, fruity, soapy, acerbic tone of both beautifully with its dryness. An ultimate clean, zesty summer freshie I wanna drench myself in after my morning shower before heading out, to maintain that freshness throughout the hot summer day as long as possible. It's original, unusual and quirky. You won't find that many people smelling so distinctly of strong well blended fresh and dry neroli and petitgrain with sweet hint of fruit, creamy tonka beans and sandal wood. I love it. You will stand out, and in a good way, for some anyway.

I love neroli and find it a perfect scent for a hot summer: Fresh with a soft sweetness that is never cloying, hints of green, natural and elegant. I can understand why some find the scent profile feminine (being a white floral). And full disclosure: I find most floral-based fragrances very feminine and don’t personally enjoy wearing them. But Neroli Vetiver Forte has enough petit grain and vetiver to give a contrasting green/mild earthy accord that does two things for this fragrance: increase its longevity and nudge it perhaps an inch toward a traditional masculine base. Still firmly unisex in my opinion, but men who love neroli but don’t want to smell like pure floral boutique, this one may be your answer. I’ll wear this a lot in the coming summer days. Thank you Guerlain for this masterpiece that solves the poor longevity issues many fresh fragrances suffer from!

Après réception d'un échantillon... Une légère fraîcheur et ensuite... Le grand saut vers un monde chaud presque gourmand mais pas sucré et addictif. Les feuilles de figue et les roses ? pas vu ! Ou ...noyés dans la chaleur des notes de fond. Dans l'ensemble, Beau parfum chaud et monotone !!! Aucune complexité, sans suspens, addictif...Tout le monde aimera. Après quelques heures, déjà lassé. C'est le parfum du roi Tantale ! Présent, beau mais insaisissable..et pour finir agaçant. Déjà vu et cher. Mise à jour 1 jour plus tard : À ma grande surprise et à mon grand regret le côté chaleureux et addictif laisse place définitivement aux agrumes .une fraîcheur citronnée. J ai failli tomber dans le piège, payer assez cher pour une senteur agrume ..non... Essayez et laissez vous du temps avant tout achat compulsif. Dommage.

Glazing under the summer sun, with a breeze of wind. It's a better version of Neroli than Jo Malone orange blossom, in my opinion. Opening with a greenish hint and blooming into a wonderful scent of Neroli with a hint of sweetness. Then it fades into a dry vertiver x cedar end. If Philosykos of Diptyque is a take to make a photogenic perfume of a fig tree from leaves to fruits, Nerolia Vertiver is a take on Bitter orange tree on a peak bloom. Drying down give a sharp vibe of bitter orange peels, perhaps it's the vertiver. This perfume lasted ~4 to 6 hrs on skin and will last till the day after on clothes. As a leafy green perfume lover, I adored this scent. Noted this is a green floral scent, might not for anyone who doesn't like the green and sharpness of vertiver drydown. This is not a sweet Neroli flower.

This is summer in a bottle. I am a huge neroli lover in the warmer months, with Frederic Malle / Cologne Indélébile & a bunch of TF's / Neroli Portifino & Mandarino Di Amalfi being my dumb grabs in the summer. Had this delivered today after I had that itch for summer scent 2025 for my holidays coming up. Wow! This is as gorgeous as it gets. This is much softer than the aforementioned Neroli bombs, but I will say this is a better grab for me. It projects better than both and last much longer than the TF's (on par with FM). I am really happy with this scent and I can say this is 100% unisex. It doesn't lean either way to me and sits gloriously in the middle. If you are a guy and put off by reviews saying feminine leaning then let me put any doubts to bed, buy this! You will not be disappointed.

This is by far my most complimented perfume and I own a lot! People have chased me down to ask what i’m wearing. I wasn’t that taken with it to begin with but it’s grown on me. Blast of fig and neroli on opening and then it dries down quite green and herby on me. Mellows into something really soft and takes off the edge of bitterness I get initially. One of those scents I get a whiff of every so often and think what’s that really nice smell 🤔 only to realise it’s this! I sprayed a cotton scarf before wearing and then put into a bag to take to dry cleaning. I forgot about it for a couple of weeks however, you could still smell this perfume on the scarf even then. I dare say I liked the scent even more after all that time - maybe I will spray my clothes in advance!

Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver is a citrus, floral and herbal fragrance. Its opening is fresh and citrus, with an herbal and neroli accord. As the minutes pass, it shows a fresh and mineral vetiver, which is more woody and herbal than earthy. The fragrance in general is linear, so it does not change more in its development. This version of Aqua Allegoria is ideal for daytime use, as it gives a fresh and clean feeling. On hot spring and summer days it would be a very good choice. Its longevity with me was between 6 to 7 hours, with a regular sillage for the first hour and a half, and then it decreased. Nerolia Vetiver is a 100% unisex fragrance. I invite you to try it, if you like herbal and fresh fragrances, it is very likely that you will like it.

The perfume I didn’t know I needed. Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver is a perfectly balanced blend of neroli and vetiver—fresh, energizing, herbal, citrusy, and utterly gender-neutral. I’m familiar with its EDT and Harvest siblings, but they don’t hold a candle to this one. It’s more mature and elegant, yet it still retains that magical harmony of all the notes I love. On my skin, it lasts surprisingly well, and its drydown leaves a beautiful fig-and-wood aroma that I absolutely adore. It adapts flawlessly to any climate, activity, outfit, or time of day. Guerlain somehow managed to create a fragrance that feels timeless and universal—something anyone, of any gender, age, or style, could wear effortlessly.

Aromatherapy in a bottle I love wearing this perfume and can't wait for the temperatures to drop below 30; it's a bit too much for this summer heat. I often catch myself sniffing my skin and clothes when I wear it—it has a soothing effect on me, like aromatherapy. It’s a green scent, yet so creamy—pure perfection... I adore neroli and vetiver; the combination is perfect. I don't get that dry, woody drydown that feels too masculine. however, colleague recently walked into my office and remarked that it smelled nice—like cleaning products. I told her it was my perfume. She couldn't talk her way out of that one. I was offended.

Sharp opening with beautifully executed bergamot (as you’d expect from guerlain) and petitgrain and a sweeter heart with an accurately described neroli-fig accord, though it’s certainly neroli-dominant, and there’s just a hint of nutty sweetness from the tonka bean. As the perfume dries down the figginess subsides a little bit, and the more floral tones of the neroli really start to come through, underpinned with a subtle vetiver that is simultaneously grassy and fresh, but with slightly creamy-woody and salty facets to it as well. I’ve enjoyed it slightly less over time but it’s still a lovely fragrance !

To me, this is such a lovely perfume for the late fall and winter. I got a sample last November and recently bought a full bottle for December and the cold. It’s a great year round scent. The neroli stands out in warmer months and the Vetiver is a nice comfortable cozy warm wrap around you in colder weather. A nice unisex perfume when you want a break from the sweet florals. The Vetiver is amazing and isn’t masculine. It blends smoothly with the neroli in here which is a little tart (like Neroli Plein Sud). The fig and fig leaf take second stage just to make it softer but not sweet.

Absolutely love it! I do get the hate that it gets sometimes, too, though. The Vetiver - Neroli combo is an acquired taste. It's very polarizing as it seems, people either love it or hare it, nothing in between, and that's ok. Leave it if it doesn't work for you. Well, I sure am glad it does work for me. A universal and versatile freshie for many a occasion, work and leisure. In the summer it will refresh you and invigorate you, in the winter it will pick you up and chase the blues away. Strangely reminds me of The Tragedy of Lord George by Penhaligon in some aspects. Sue me.

This is another slam dunk for Delphine Jelk! Neroli is my go-to late spring and summer note, but she miraculously adds a green, woody, and creamy twist to it. The first whiff gives you the bright, joyful, fresh, and almost aquatic Neroli, followed by a crisp green warmth that quickly fades to the woody and lasting vetiver (also a top 10 note of mine). After an hour or so, the creaminess of the fig comes through and the entire concoction becomes perfectly balanced, light, and fresh on my skin. I pray this one stays around forever, along with Oud Yuzu!

I have disliked fragrances my entire life (to the point of only using unscented fabric softener and deodorant). During an unusually long layover at an airport, I spent a couple of hours sniffing fragrances at the dutyfree shops. This one absolutely blew my mind and opened the door to the immense and complicated world of perfumery. I love that it's not the usual sweet fragrance, it smells like vibrant vegetation, honey, and sunshine in a soft and creamy way. It is, however, too heavy and intense for hot weather (45C/113F).

Guerlain is one of my fragrance house favorites. Blind bought this and just had a feeling it would be lovely, and oh yes, it is. Fresh, elegant, clean and all kinds of warm weather goodness. I feel classy & put together when I wear this scent, especially at the office and around clients. Surprisingly great longevity for a fresh fragrance that ends in a beautiful soapy/powder skin scent. This EDP just screams well-groomed and I’d love to smell it on a man as equally as I would a women. Great purchase—thanks Guerlain!

Another wonderful fragrance from the Aqua Allegoria line. I tried a 2 mL sample with no expectations – what a pleasant surprise. Considering buying a bottle, though I'm wearing this during cold months and would have to see how it performs in hot weather. The sharp, citrusy opening dissipates quickly and gives way to a stunning scent – floral, green, warm but very light. Being very picky with anything floral, I find that the rose, neroli and fig work so beautifully together here. If only it was longer lasting!

a brilliant, bright and zesty summer fragrance - probably my almost-perfect summer freshie. the green fig blends beautifully with the bright citrus and soft, zesty neroli, and as the zest slowly fades, a slight creaminess and then a light, airy vetiver come forward. it's a scent that makes it difficult to be sad wearing; it's just so uplifting, easygoing and i think, universally enjoyable. the longevity and sillage are impressive too - in hot weather it really pumps out scent with power. sublime! 9.5/10

Omg. This is an absolute masterpiece. Very very similar to Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse, you really get that citrusy dry vetiver, however the longevity of the Forte is incredible. The fact they managed to keep both the neroli, vetiver notes to stay that long is incredible. I initially had a sample, then decided to buy the full bottle and I’m very very happy about it. Compared the original EDT, this is more fig note based and woodier.

I almost never had a better perfume. Over the years it's not easy for me to find the right perfume and I've bought a lot of perfumes lately, but none of them have delighted me. I tried this one the other day in a perfumery and I thought it was awful. After half an hour, I felt pure beauty and immediately ordered it. At first it's heavy, suffocating, but after some time on my skin it's perfect. Pure magic. Completely in love... 💕🪄

Nerolia Vetiver Forte is luxurious soapy green fragrance with beautiful citrusy and green notes on the top after a while beautiful vetiver picks through with creamy and salty undertone. There are gorgoues creamy notes with clean musky accord that finish this beauty. The dry down is so addictive. Fresh but powerful, green, creamy, acquatic and salty and clean washed clothes musky fragrance. It is beautiful all year around.

I don't like the scent straight out the bottle because it's so green and citrusy but the dry down is amazing, it's still green but toned down with honey, hint of rose and candied neroli. Makes me instantly happy and I also wear this during winter. This is nowhere close to what scents I usually go for, but I really like it. Unisex scent leaning slightly feminine, very universal and suits all moments in life.

Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver is such a vibrant and refreshing citrus-floral-woody fragrance. Here, the bitterness of neroli is highlighted and accentuated even more by petitgrain and fig leaf. The drydown is floral-woody with the added creaminess of tonka. The overall feel is clean, green, aromatic and would definitely be a great companion during the warmer days when it shines the most!👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

I just purchased this in EDP and I am head over heels! As I get older I find myself drawn to intense green, dry, woody and slightly bitter fragrances like Chanel #19 EDP, Givenchy III, YSL Y (vintage), Ralph Lauren Safari (vintage) to name just a few. The Guerlain Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver is so very beautiful and fits right into my collection as a proud and strong grassy sister.

Oh Lala.☺️ jelphine delk has again nailed it with my favourite fragrance note, which is neroli. This is a beautiful green citrusy , little bit of earth and musky fragrance. The longevity is also amazing. It’s not eternally long lasting, but it has a modern rate longitivity, which is fine with me. I really adore this fragrance and I love jelphine delk creation, basically.

The dominant neroli note gives a very clean impression. Gently sweet. Then the slight yet present bergamot note completes it, which contributes to make it more complex. There’s no masculinity, but it’s not too feminine, so it’s a feminine-leaning unisex fragrance. I love it!

This is a lovely feminine Vétiver scent. It is supposed to be unisex but with the fig and rose, I find it’s slightly leaning more to a feminine scent. It would be fantastic on any woman. However I prefer my Vétiver scents to lean more towards the masculine fragrance side.

Surprisingly lovely. Sweet floral scent with some stamina and oomph, I don’t pick up Vetiver but I do smell some fig leaf and lots of other green notes. Searching for a bottle now. Edit 6/20/25 Found it, bought it, love it. Can’t wait for the weather to heat up.

Upon first spray, it a slap. Beautiful fresh, zesty, vibrant citrus. On strip it was way too strong, but it start to become slightly fruity after a while without losing it's clean, just out of the shower Absolute love it.

wore on vacation in florida and was weirdly nostalgic... I saw someone say this smelled like the powder tide detergent from childhood, and it totally does (in the best way). fresh, pretty, light but leaves an impression

There's a wet earthy wood smell that can be a bit off putting at first, but soon after there's a vibrancy that comes through from the florals and juicy fig. This is a great summer wear, very good longevity.

A perfect scent for short errands, the gym or lunch in the sun. A beautiful neroli paired with a light vetiver. A sillage that whispers to you and those around you of elegance and sophistication.

This is one of the loveliest cologne waters I know. Casual chic perfection. Yes, it's "forte", with complexity and longevity but always a happy summer vibe. The only downside is the high price.

I stood at the fragrance counter and the scent of this one overpowered the rest, in a good way. The mixture is intoxicating. I am a sucker for a good vetiver fragrance. A happy purchase.

Elegant creamy white soap with white pulp of an orange opening. Any bit of powdery note comes off as fresh pulp in the opening. Dries down to sweet flower peddles with powdered sugar.

This is my second comment.... I just want to express how crazy I am about this. This is an absolute masterpiece and definitely one of my top three favourite fragrances of all time.
